- Family ties, Birth, Invasion:
Summer’s history began before she was even given the gift of life. Her family carrying a long hierarchy of descendents, all big and small, male and female, mage and non-mage alike. Her family always carrying quite strange and rather unique personality traits into the Guiyang line. There was however, one thing that has never ended: the family’s oriental values. They followed their values very closely and they were always close with each other. Helping the others even when they are going through their ups and downs in life. Nothing ever stopped them from being who they were: just local people trying to get on with their daily lives and being the best people they possibly can be.There was however a family that they hated… the Xiao family. They always seen the Xiao family as stuck up individuals who were always kiss-asses and only cared about themselves. There was a few family members who mingled with them but the Guiyang’s weren't the most impressed people in the world when the few did so.
One of the Guiyang’s members was a mere teenage girl when she started to hang out with one of the Xiao family members, a male called Lee. She fell in love with Lee the moment she met him, calling it ‘love at first sight.’ She seen him as a very handsome man and it was clear why: she was his type, literally. It didn’t take long for Lee to recuperate his feelings towards her and started to date each other in secret, just because they didn’t want either family to know. They knew if this was found out, the two would be in big trouble and it could cause chaos for the two families if it was ever ratted out. It was decided that Lee and the female will run away to a secluded place. To a place where none of the family will know where they are and where two can live in peace and harmony with each other. The day they ran was difficult in terms of preparation and sneaking out without getting noticed, but they managed and they ran to a nearby shrine where they prepared themselves to travel the next day.
The travelling was extensive and difficult until the two stumbled into a humble village which instantly took them in and helped the two lovers settle into their tiny town. The two instantly took a liking to this town and decided to reside in it, it wasn’t that long after that Lee and the female announced that a family was going to start. Lee felt relieved that there will be children of both the Xiao and Guiyang family line, two family lines that once hated and deceived each other. The village have heard of this from Lee himself and the village rejoiced over this fact. They were excited that their little village was growing. 9 months later and a little girl was born on a very warm day. Holding the little girl while the cherry blossoms were falling lightly onto the ground they, decided to call her ‘Summer’.
Summer was a beautiful baby, was always full of life while she grew up. The village couldn’t help but be in awe of her. She obviously had that effect on people where they just had to smile at her, no matter what action she done or what mistake she made, she was just corrected. This made her a very unspoiled child, Summer didn’t mind though. The villagers just adored her and doted on her.
Not too long in Summer’s timeline and there was an invasion of soldiers from some sort of unknown neighbouring town or village and tried to wreck the place, stealing possessions and trying to kill some of the residents. Fortunately the blacksmith trained enough people for this kind of emergency and fended as many off as possible. All of them either died or retreated except for twins who were very little, similar age to Summer. Why were little kids left behind? Did they expect the little kids to die in the battle?? It was very wrong and they were both taken into care immediately. It became apparent that they actually weren’t meant to be with the army, but they stalked them in hopes that they would be hidden and so they weren’t tortured by the leader of the soldiers that invaded moments ago.
Of course, when the village finally died down once more. Summer was taken to the kids and she instantly made friends with them. She took great care to even name them. She didn’t know what to name the twins except that they wanted names that she knew they would fall head over heels with. She knew just what to call them! It eventually came to her when she was eating breakfast one morning and then rushed outside afterwards to see them competing in a tug of war. She couldn’t help but laugh at the boys and then she decided to name them. Jiang and Hung sounded like great names for the boys and therefore they were officially named Jiang and Hung. The boys loved their new names and rejoiced. They seemed much happier than what they have been for the few days they resided. Summer wanted to ask why they were so unhappy until she named them, but they didn’t give away that information which was upsetting, but she understood that they didn’t want to give everything away so soon.
- Training gracefully:
A few years after the invasion. Summer was coming up to the age where she started to understand a little more of the world and has decided that she wanted to help the town incase of another invasion, of course Jiang and Hung wanted to help too. They wanted to give back to the village because of the love, care and attention the three were given during their development. The blacksmith trusted their judgement after they explained this and got to work on making their weapons. The three were excited because this would be the thing that could help them if there was another invasion of some kind or some sort of attack on the little village. The blacksmith didn’t take that long to get Summer’s weapon ready. He stated that the weapon reminded him of herself, she didn’t understand what he meant by that but he explained that she will once she was older. Jiang couldn’t help but chuckle slightly as the blade was still slightly heavy for her, but Summer wasn’t going to give up, stating that she will get stronger and manage to use it better.
Summer started to train using her weapon immediately, she had nobody to help her train so she had developed her own sense of style when it came to her training. She trained ever so gracefully, teaching herself footwork and stretching to start getting herself flexible. It soon became apparent that her flexibility was going to be a major thing when it came to her and the boys were slightly shocked of her determination. They never seen this side of her, she was usually hyperactive and never been able to focus at all. Yet, here she was practicing and perfecting moves that would deem to be fighting-worthy.
It was one day while Summer was training when she was told that some really big news. She was told that a festival will happen over the course of a few days to celebrate the goals the townspeople thought they would never be able to achieve. Summer was confused as to what a festival was, she never really seen one before but she was already excited for it because it sounded like a good thing to celebrate, a good way to bring the community together too.
Preparation was difficult, they didn’t know what the theme would be and the only thing that the village decided on was the end which was going to be a fireworks show. Of course Summer being Summer, she didn’t understand. But nonetheless she was very excited. Of course in due time, the festival was almost ready and raring to go and Summer was getting better in her training. She decided she wanted to contribute to this festival by showing off her flexibility, she also wanted to help with the fireworks display but she wasn’t really allowed to because she was young, which Summer found suckish. She felt fortunate that she had another thing to look forward to: her part of the festival, the flexibility will be great use she hoped.
Despite preparations of the festival, Summer continued to train ever so gracefully. One day, Jian and Hung have decided that the three could start training by the means of sparring. Which Summer gladly accepted, she didn’t know how this would turn out, but she felt this would improve her ability much more and help her to get ready for any invasions that consumed her village all them years ago.
It was finally the day of the festival and everyone was bustling around. Summer was just finishing sparring with Jian, they seemed to have grown more closer with one another and Summer has been spending much more time with him then she is with Hung. Of course, Hung got slightly jealous by this and decided up a plot to teach Summer a lesson.
