The front door of the Lamia Scale guildhall was pushed open, and there in the doorway was Ren. It figures that the place was always changing, he was a little bit curious as to what had happened to his guild while he had been... Away. Even though he'd been separated from it for such a long time, the tattoo was still on his ankle. If it had faded at all, he really couldn't tell. The bright pink he had chosen made it kind of difficult to make a solid conclusion. Bracelets jangled on his wrists as he took a few steps in, looking around.
It was almost nostalgic. And by almost he meant completely, even though it had looked a bit different from when he'd last seen it. After his rank exam, he had... Decided to take a break from guild business for a while. Maybe it was the stress, or simply his anxieties at work, but he simply left the town of Hargeon to do a little travelling. Of course he would make the claim that he'd been training, but in reality he was just taking a really big break from the whole world.
Then he got bored.
It was kind of this weird realization that all the crazy things that went down inside of his guild was actually what made his life so active and interesting. Even if he constantly felt like he was going to die of a heart attack because somehow there was always a fight happening. The peace and quiet he had craved so dearly was actually... pretty boring. So he finally decided that it was his time to return home. Well, they did remove him from his apartment and he had to argue with his landlord for a few good days so he could get his things back, but after that he was actually ready to return to the guildhall.
Ren was a little afraid, actually. Afraid he'd just be surrounded by a bunch of strangers and no one he actually knew. Though if they were a part of the guild they were technically a part of his crazy dysfunctional family and he'd have to get to know them whether he liked it or not. Maybe the guild's now inhabited by super models...? Hah, one can dream.
"H-Hello! I'm... back!"
Ah, he could feel that nervous tension crawling up his spine as he spoke. Truly nostalgic.
