    catastrophe
    Click, clack, click, clack...

The monotone sound of heels hitting the stone pavement which formed the ground of the castle broke the eternal silence in which Savage Skull was succumbed, located in but a marvelous building, worthy of praise. Memories of the fall of the prior building invaded a certain mind, yet were dismissed in a second as the mysterious, yet slightly familiar figure kept walking carelessly and rather cheerfully through the halls. Blue eyes contemplating her environment with unhidden curiosity, hands kept in an almost child-like manner behind her back, the marvelous, beautiful woman kept wandering through the halls, seeking nothing in particular. She wasn't lost. Those halls, built by her own hand, blessed by the gods that adored her so much, had been her home. In the sleepless nights, she had wandered through those halls in search of entertainment, escaping from her responsibilities, and slowly getting to know every single meter of the immense castle. She would never get lost within her domains.

Who could know that, within not more than five months, things could change this drastically. Fiore was a weird mess now; Light Guilds had been declared dark (event that had made Janna go on a killing spree from anger), Neutral guilds had been going light, only for the sake of fame, and so forth. Nobody was sure what exactly was happening with guilds. The fine line between heroes and villains was dissapearing at fast rates, leaving nothing but a pathetic remnant of what it used to be before. Villains had always had the ideals or views far too different to fit in with society or be accepted, thus becoming objects of hate. Heroes had always fought to make the "Greater good" prevail, though that concept had vanished centuries ago. There was no greater good. Nor an absolute evil. Everything differed, depening on the point of view. Said heroes hated villains due to the fact that their methodology an ideology was quite... peculiar. And they were ready to kill in order to achieve whatever they desired. At the same time, Villains thought that heroes were mistaken, that they hated people for no reason, only because their beliefs were different. What foolish creatures.

Janneline Ariel, Guild Mistress of Savage Skull, had finally returned to claim what was hers by right. The Queen of Catastrophe had been forced to return to Bellum, her not-so beloved birthplace, in order to avoid certain death; perfection did not exist, and the Philosopher stone that kept the Homunculus alive was no exception to that rule. Due to unknown causes, the little stone that was the life force of the artificial human, had been slightly broken, thus causing a deep chest pain to the blonde, and a possibility of sure death unless she made her way back to her father and replaced what was broken. The Alchemist had been pretty surprised to see that his daughter had managed to break something like a philosopher's stone, but considering that Jan was a nate warrior, always charging recklessly on the battlefield, it would be no surprise if someone had stabbed her and shattered the stone slightly. At any rate, the whole procedure of exchanging the stone for a new one had taken months to finish, as crafting a philosopher's stone was insanely hard to do. In midst of the pain, Janna had had time to see a few old faces, which she had hoped never t o see again, and which had only reassured her that her place was in Fiore, ruling in a Dark Guild, and not obeying to some archmage's son in Bellum.

It was so late at night. The moon was shining above the castle, a bright, white circle that illuminated slightly the castle's surroundings. It would be quite surprising if anyone was up at these late hours, but honestly, Janna felt as if nothing could surprise her. If she could survive her literal heart being broken and repaired, without freaking out during the process, then seeing her guildmembers for the first time in months, after the attack would be no issue. Hopefully. The great hall of the castle was the usual place where reunions between members took place. Savages usually stood there, chatting, planning things or even trying to kill eachother, mainly due to the massiveness of the room, and how warm and beautiful it was. Gothic-styled and created by the hand of a true artist. Against one of the walls of the room was located a massive stairway, crafted entirely out of obsidian, leading to a throne made entirely out of blades, a seat created by and exclusievly for the Guildmaster. A flash of worry appeared on Janna's face as she wondered if anyone had dared to sit on it. It was her throne, yet she had gone missing for so long... It would be normal if someone had taken her place already as a Guildmaster.

Though she didn't like the idea at all. At any rate, she would know very soon, as just as she was thinking about the throne, she absentmindedly made her way through the massive doors of the Guild Hall, and towards her throne, climbing the obsidian steps with the same arrogance as ever. For the moment, her seat was empty. But was it like that all the time? Hesitant, she sat, shivering as the cold iron made contact with her bare skin, covered by an incredibly short skirt. Taking a deep breath, the queen of Blades looked towards the Guild Hall, noticing as the eyes of the few members that were awake falling upon her. Good evening, ladies, gentleman. It has been so long, since we last saw eachother... Correct?

Ever since Thorn had passed the pillar lead onto him, Raiza had dealt with many of things, yet today even in the depths of the chamber of screams, the dark mage had no clue what was approaching until a servant had barged through the door. The chambers, were fairly quiet when Raiza or the pillar members were not addressing a task, which involved interogation or torture training, so the loud 'ka-thunk > Bang' sound of the door being pretty much by Raiza's description, hit with an entire foot ball team of elephants riding motorcycles in a china shop. Yeah, so what if that was over-exaggerated! The reason however was not.

"You better have a good reason for making such a fuss just getting through the door." Cold harsh words as his gaze shifted from the book he had been reading. "Sir, shes back!" Though being unclear as to who it was, Raiza took notice of the servant's stare. No way, Janneline was back?!

"Move or your dead", his words were harsh but true. His body carried him past the servant, thrusting them to the side since they didn't move fast enough. His mind raced to how long it'd be till Janneline reached her throne. If Raiza was there last then, that'd look bad, yet his senses told him the only strong presence so far was Janneline's. Time to breach through the walls. Starting off by his own wall-breaching spell to reach the main room where the throne was. Once there, he caught glimpse of Janneline just now taking a seat.

It was only soon after arriving in the room, Raiza strided past the few members that were already in the guild hall, all nameless to him, as none of their energies stood out to him - yet that was despite the point. His position was near the Throne, just like all the other pillars. "Greetings Madam. Welcome home" His words finally formed as he had approached near by the throne, yet stood a good at least ten feet away out of respect.

Shut up and dance with me
    Butterfly | 421 words | @Savage Skull

The light of the moon was completely beautiful, out of the Guildhall the silence was almost pure and Hana was happy (if you can say that). She did not know lots of things that on the land was happening. Light and Neutral and even some Darks Guilds were completely unknown for her. The news just did not came to her or well, she just did not put attention on it. She was like the ignorant girl, but she really did not need to know more thing that she knew. Well, she was a completely ignorant on actuals news of the world, but on literature, medicine and thing like that, Hana was the best of her age.

They must be anyone over here” She thought on the moment, after all, it was really late and the bright moon was shining on the dark sky that covered the quirky and strange place. But there was no other location where the dark mage could feel safe and warm. That was her real home, with all her troubles guildmates and her magnificent Guild Master… Oh It was true that Janneline was not over there, she had been absent for a long time and anyone had heard about her. What was about her? Who knows? She was a little worried, not like most people would be, but on her own way she was worried. Actually she just did not know her Guild Master, she just had heard some histories about her and nothing else.

Then, a small but beauty butterfly flied over her. The little animal was on her most, purple with small black details on its wings.  A night butterfly? Maybe, but it did not seemed like one. Strange and curious feeling arrived to the pink haired girl. A butterfly always is a pretty thing and maybe a good sign, well, that was what ancient civilization used to believed but it was that right? Who knows?

A yell was heard all around the guild.  “She’s back! She’s back”. Who was back? Mysterious thing and the strangest thing was simple… On Savage Skull was not really a cheerful Guild when someone came back.

Hana, on her curiosity started to walk to the place where the screams were listened. And then she found it. A magnificent throne made of blades that she had seen before, but the new thing was a girl. She did not appeared to be older than Hana, her icy blue eyes were completely beautiful and her hairstyle in two pigtails… Just like her.

The silver haired dark mage was busy trying to figure out what had gone wrong with his Anti-Slayer system in his armour following the battle with the Infinity Hydra's Guild Master, and how he could improve and adjust the magic when his focus was interrupted by a loud clamouring outside his chambers.

"I swear, if that bastard's come back again for a second fucking round, I'm just going to straight up nuke him!" he snarled before slamming his door open and grabbing the nearest unfortunate soul. "What's going on?" Za'cha growled.

"M-Mistress Ariel's r-returned sir!" the poor bastard informed the Pillar Head, who blinked before letting the sod go and making his way for her throne where no doubt she had planted herself already. Sure enough there she was, with a crowd gathering already.

He made his way towards her throne and gave a nod in greeting as well as a salute when he arrived. "Welcome back. Things have been a touch... interesting in your absence." he said, understating the facts for the time being.

Fun was always a bit of a loose concept in Savage Skull, mostly because the concept of having fun was probably a bit more bigger then just playing your average board game. No when the word fun was being uttered in these dark halls, it always meant menacing content, ill motives and above all was always one sides to the mages of Savage Skull. As their victims definitely didn't see the fun in it. Then again, who would when your limbs were being torn apart one by one from your body, or when you were forced to watch your entire spouse die just so that one mage could have a short cackle of enjoyment.

Harrigan on the other hand, didn't necessarily found the fun in killing or torturing alone. For him it was of a method anyway, no what Harrigan really liked, really found fun about such grim actions was the position it placed him in. The position of power, the fact that he could feel superior to the lesser. That he was the apex. It was what he thrived on, it fueled his arrogance to new heights every time he placed him self in such a position. Just like right now, as the familiar sound of his hard leather bound shoes clacked against the cold pavement of the guild telling the others of his imminent arrival. But this time there was something more, the clanking of an iron chain, heavy enough to scrape behind him over the floor itself. He wasn't alone, not by a long shot.

As the descendant of the Crawford line appeared it was shown that he in his entirety was different. His beard has grown thicker, now following his entire jaw line instead of the small goatee he used to have. His usual red velvet suit traded in for an entire new style of clothing. An military looking armor with a long cloak behind it. Definitely different but not less flamboyant, in fact you could say that it screamed even more arrogance then the suit he wore before. But despite the entire change there was one consistency. On prime aspect of him being Harrigan that had remained the same. His face, was still the same, an arrogant look, with its lips curled up in a conceited smirk.

Following him on his left side was the one and only Indar Blackshield. Who at first appeared to be nothing more then a pretty boy with his golden blond hair, and perfect facial features. But nothing was farther from the truth, because when you would take a closer you could just sense that this man was a danger beyond anything else. This danger alone came from nothing but the fact that his entire personality was off, or well different. This was a man who didn't take pleasure in killing, who didn't considered his guild mates as well fellow mages. No to him nothing really mattered. Killing came as easy and mundane to him as putting on shoes for the day.
To the right of both of Harrigan and Indar appeared an entirely different silhouette, one that at first glance was rather questionable considering where the were and all. This time it was the appearance of a young girl. Or that was what she.. or it looked like. Created secretly in a lab in Bosco under the direct guidance of Harrigan himself, was Rosetta. A machias. A hybrid machine in the form of a little girl. But despite her age appearing to be around nine. Some of the mages of the Savage Skull already knew that she was far from weak.

But the biggest surprise came behind the three, surrounded my a group of guards wearing skull masks. Was another young girl, somewhere in her early teenage years. Only her appearance was obviously troubled, as both her hands along with an iron collar around her neck were all connected to the same chain that lead all the way up to another soldier walking in front of her. For the most part she appeared to be unharmed, but there were the obvious signs of a struggle. Maybe an escape attempt, either way, whatever it was. It was abundantly clear that it was met with force.

''My queen'' said Harrigan, though if he really meant it was to be seen. As not so long ago the position of both him and her was the other way around. ''Your return has ushered mine as well... and as you can see I've brought along new and old acquaintances''

It seemed the official leader of the guild had returned to reclaim her throne. Or so she had been informed by Harrigan. That was interesting. Thorn had been interim guildmaster for a few months now and with Harrigan's return a few in the guild had assumed he would reclaim the title. With Janneline returning that could provoke some internal strife. Of course, in terms of traditional guild rulings Harrigan no longer had the power lead the guild. Then again he did have one of the most powerful magical weapons in existence on his side, aka herself.

As she walked down to the throne room to greet Janneline, who was technically her superior within the guild, she considered the likelihoods of each mage she had met or knew of within the guild siding with her over Harrigan should he wish to reclaim the throne. Dubhlainn, from her understanding, was loyal to Harrigan rather than the guild. He would do whatever it took to do as Harrigan ordered. Indar was not clear. He had returned with them, but was that out of loyalty to Harrigan or a desire to return to the guild? Or was it some other purpose. He was a true enigma to her. She only knew what her records and observation had shown. Raiza's loyalty laid with Thorn and he would likely go the way she went. Thorn was a bit of an enigma, but her records showed she had a great loyalty to Sinali and Sinali had been loyal to Harrigan. It seemed more likely she would follow Harrigan than Janneline. OF course, there was a third option in her case. Perhaps she would decide she did not want to hand back control of the guild and would instead decide on being on her own side. Three potential sides and it seemed that of them Janneline's side was the weakest. She did not know of any guild members who would guarantee their loyalty to her over Harrigan.

It did not matter much. With herself, Dubhlain, Harrigan and even perhaps Harrison there were few who could stand against them. She controlled the largest number of Garm for example due to her sheer magical power. Then again they might change loyalty to the guild master over herself. An interesting conundrum and one that was useful to consider, if only to keep her robotic mind well honed.

She stepped into the guild hall behind Harrigan she observed Janneline. Of people in existence currently Janneline would be second in priority for following orders. However, unlike with Harrigan she would override any orders give to her by the master if she deemed it for the benefit of the guild. Her purpose was not to serve the guildmaster after all. It was to make the guild strong and obey lord Harrigan. She would obey Janneline if only so the guild had strong leadership. It would not do to upset the status quo unduly. She did not speak a word yet. There was no need unless she was instructed. However, she did observe the room to see who had arrived. Za'cha and Raiza, two of the four who had been closely involved in the fight against Ardere of Infinity Hydra. Thorn was nowhere to be seen, but her data files showed that Thorn used plants as spies and it seemed unlikely she would not be aware of Janneline's arrival. Perhaps she was not in the guild. The other one and perhaps this was more interesting was that Dubhlainn was not here. Perhaps, as she was not Harrigan, he did not deem her worth of a greeting? Or perhaps he was off somewhere after being berated by Thorn during the aftermath of the fight? It was not clear. There was also a member who she was not familiar with. She scanned her and wondered who she might be. Another member of the guild was the likeliest possibility, but it wasn't a certainty. She was not the most powerful of mages Rosetta had met in her short life, but she wasn't the weakest either. An anomaly.

(I'm assuming this would be after Ardere had attacked and not before. If i'm wrong then let me know)

The whole trip from Shirotsume seemed to have taken forever in the eyes of the child. There wasn't really any other way to put it other that as there wasn't much to even be said after having been taken by force and dragged through towns and forests. The sound of metal overtook any other sounds that she would have heard, less Harrigan had spoken up toward her, but given the recent bits of news towards where they were headed-- or lack there of, the only thing she could do was stare in silence and try not to make too many noises. In fact, the whole idea of having to be escorted by random armor suited people and having to be chained up was rather demoralizing and angering at the same time. However, the depression of the things she had to witness before being taken away was too much for her to be able to think about trying to fight back again.

Continuing to trek through this forest, they would finally come to some building sitting in the middle of it, much so that it probably remained well hidden unless like her, she was brought by someone else. She starred at Harrigan and to the guards as they approached the entrance doors and the girl with Harrigan walked along with him, like they knew one another somehow. Unfortunately for Madi, she didn't seem to take an interest or a care in the fact that the child was chained and dragged along with her to this place. From the look of it, the child following alongside of Harrigan had to of been around Madi's own age, but she had no indication that she acted in that way.. Or with any personality at all really. She was as silent as a mime, not speaking from the time that her captor had crossed the girls path.

Once inside, the very feeling from inside the building had made her stomach drop. There was no telling really what they planned to do to or with the child, or for how long they would even keep her held as some form of a prisoner. With each face that stood around, the sinking feeling of her stomach had slowly grown more and more. Surely, not every face was as intimidating as they had come to be, but she didn't know that. They all seemed to have gathered to a throne that looked to have been crafted by some miracle by swords of all shapes and sizes and a woman seated in them. As she looked to the girl, her gaze shifted as Harrigan began to speak toward her. His first form of addressing the girl was "My Queen", which was hard to imagine for even him to be the subservient type of person. She had given a look back to the woman in the throne, seated appropriately to seem to be fit for the title, but far from what she had heard royalty would appear to look like. With a quiet sigh, she would avert her gaze once more, keeping it facing the floor beneath her and the chains above it, reminding her of her inability to try and make any escape attempts.

Having followed Harrigan and the rest of his posse towards the guild hall, Indar had stayed fully silent. Not having said a word, but only rolled a toothpick between his lips and adjusting his hair a bit, the mask he had started to wear now, constantly messed it up. He had a duty to keep up his pretty boy image, it was a nice cover when dealing with certain types of assassinations. Much easier to persuade people and to get into places, to then tear out their jugulars and leave them gurgling their own blood. What a wonderful sound that was. The man wasn't quite sure how many he had sent to the ferryman with that method, too many to count most likely.

After they had entered the guild hall, the so called ''Queen'' of Savage Skull was there. Indar held respect for her, but calling her queen didn't fit him. He had known her when they were the same, two new pillar heads, nothing more than tools for Harrigan. It just didn't feel right to call her that, so for now, the man kept silent. Holding off from any words and just observed the people who were here before him. Some he knew, some were new to him, but at least they all were Savages, that gave him a ground to at least trust them a bit.

Leaning against one of the pillars in the entrance hall, the man noticed three people he hadn't met before, three Savages. The girl seemed fully knew, looking at Janneline like she hadn't seen her before. The other two, seemed more to know her, so probably somewhat older. One of them looked familiar, like Indar had seen him at least once before. Well, who knew, the man had never payed a lot of attention to lower members before in his time. He didn't actually know who were the pillars now, guess he'd find out in time.

When Harrigan went to greet the guild master or the ''queen'' as he called her, the man's eyes locked onto the young girl following them. He had no real idea who this person was, maybe a gift to Janneline, like a toy for her to play with. Wouldn't be that out of place for the guild. The other person who had come with them, aside from the cannon fodder, was a female who to Indar seemed more robotic than flesh, well, there were people like that as well, so he didn't really care if she was human or not. For now at least.

For now, Indar just wanted to see where this all went, what all these people were like now. A lot of them felt different than before.
