    Holy fire burns again
the magic circle is all around it, burning like the innocence of love

Glorious was that day on which Mura Kensho was meant to meet Kanix on Tenroujima Island for the start of his B rank exam. She had watched and even helped him grow in power, and now, here she was standing on the Island, awaiting to assess him. More importantly, she had hoped the young mage had received the letter she had sent out to him a few days prior. This would have given him the opportunity to prepare himself and ride out to the island without being too late. Carrying on the traditions that Heero had since left behind after his death, she had high hopes that Mura would not miss this chance. If he wanted to grow in power, then the young mage would know that he must go through this assessment in order to continue on. In the letter she had sent him, she talked of a spiritual journey, of growing one's self, and proving his strength.

Kanix sat calmly beneath the massive tree that was at the center of the island, her thunderbird not far off from where she was. Ancalagon was curled up underneath the shade of the trees in the clearing, breathing soundlessly as he slept on. Her single, blind, blue optic stared aimlessly into the space between the receding forest and where she currently sat. As for the fake eye that rest in the empty socket that had once contained the beauty of her former eye, it remained motionless as she looked on. She almost felt that perhaps Mura had gotten lost in the forest and could not find his way to the center, knowing him. However, she had to keep faith in her children, as she knew that before long, they would always find their destination. Breathing in deeply, Kanix closed her eyes and listened to her surroundings, for once connecting with nature again.

It had been so long since she had last been able to share her feelings to the world and feel as one with Mother Nature. Now that she was Guild Master of Fairy Tail, she had a feeling she would be able to do this more often as she proctored others' exams. With Mura being similar to her, in that he was a shaman as well, she'd be able to enjoy what she had planned out for him. As shamans, the two of them were meant to connect with nature and feel one with it, and this is what they called a spiritual journey. She would be tasking him with such a thing, to find what he was within himself and learning to fight through his doubts and fears. A smile traced along her lips and the woman opened her eyes, sight given only to the fake eye in her right socket. The moment Mura came to the center of the island, she would proceed with explaining to him what he had to do.

I Didn't Change, I Just Found Myself [Mura Kensho's Exam] Empty Re: I Didn't Change, I Just Found Myself [Mura Kensho's Exam]

Post by Mura Kensho 2nd July 2016, 3:36 am

The eager spirit mage was dashing across the streets of Magnolia, directly heading for the guild hall of Fairy Tail; he paid no attention to any obstacles in his way, even walking straight through people. Thanks to his special ability, he wouldn't bother them as much as if he ran straight into them; if that was the case, then big troubles would be upon him. In fact, Kyuken was kind of struggling to catch up to his companion as he soared as fast as possible from a few meters behind Mura. "Hey, Mura... wait, I can't follow up. Why are you running so fast..?" the confused samurai asked, "I know that you're excited, but slow down..." The mage, however, was too deep into his thoughts to listen to the samurai behind him, simply continuing to charge straight through people. I can't wait! Finally, my exam has arrived, he daydreamed, while suddenly catching sight of the guild hall in the distance...

He didn't even bother walking through the doorway, but moved right through the wall and into one of the guild's many rooms. Curiously, he searched for the famous Tenroujima portal that he heard of by the earlier guildmaster Heero... unfortunately, it took its time before he actually found the right portal that he was supposed to enter. When he stood there, before the gate to his exam, he took another look at the message that Kanix sent to him. He'd taken the necessary equipment with him; his battle suit, which was obviously first priority, his katana Harusame, the antiquity, and of course; experience. "Alright, Kyuken; this is it," he stated to his fellow, "When we return to the guild again, we'll be different. We'll be B-Ranked mages... ohh, I can't wait!" He felt 100% ready to enter the trial that awaited him, eager to find out what Kanix had in store for his exam...

The first thing that he discovered when entering the portal was a branch on his face; it was stuck to his nose as he suddenly moved forward. "Ouch, ouch..." He struggled to pull the branch out of his nose, before looking around his surroundings; sounds of birds' singing, the waves from the nearby shore and the calm wind that caused his hair to wave with majesty. He slowly soared upwards as Kyuken arrived as well, following his rapid and eager spirit master. "This place... is this Tenroujima Island?" he asked himself. Whilst soaring upwards, he passed the trees that held the branches from earlier, spotting several species of life. All wonder. "I would guess so, master..." the samurai spirit would reply to Mura's question as they finally reached the top of the trees, so that their eyes could reach the furthest districts of the island. It was quite the view, honestly; but now, he had to find the place where Kanix was waiting for him. He could always enjoy the view another day...

After a while of soaring over the land, searching for the other shamaness, his eyes finally spotted the figure of a familiar kind of bird; or rather, thunderbird. "Oh, there she is..!" he spoke up, quickly diving through the air to arrive at the opening of the forest. His feet would gently touch the leveled ground as he would greet his proctor with a quick salute and a comment: "'Sup, Kanix. We're ready..!" The samurai spirit would salute alongside his buddy, indicating the amount of excitement that emerged from the two souls...

    Holy fire burns again
the magic circle is all around it, burning like the innocence of love

"Greetings, Mura, are you prepared for your exam?" the woman inquired without ever opening her eyes to look at him. When she did, she had lightly turned her head, blinked and stared at him with the fake optic settled in her right eye socket. With her left hand, she would motion for the young boy to step in front of her and take a seat across from where she was. "There are a few things that I would like to talk to you about before you go on your journey to a B rank mage. "Firstly, it is well known that shamans and shamanesses achieve their power through spiritual journeys, this is what you'll be doing. Secondly, on this journey, you must find yourself and your spirit animal, what those may be is up to Fate." After saying those two things, she would breathe in deeply and exhale slowly before looking way from the mage.

"Thirdly, when you come upon your spirit animal, it will ask you to battle it, beware of the power that it. Lastly, the journey that you are about to go on is not an easy journey; very few have returned from their spiritual journeys," Kanix finished speaking. For a few minutes, she would let the words sink in to the young boy's mind, waiting until he had understood it all. Upon understanding it, she would beckon with her left hand again, toward the forest whence he had come. "Spiritual journey may take days or even weeks to finish; however, I trust that it will only take you a few days. Knowing this, I have set a five day limit; if you do no return in five days' time, then I will come looking for you." She gave Mura a smile before looking closing her eyes again and proceeding to continue what she had been doing.

    OOC Information:
Kanix has sent you out on your spiritual journey; on this journey, you are meant to discover your spirit animal and yourself. However, this journey is just as perilous as any other journey, and has many obstacles that you must face. Likewise, when you come to the end of this journey, you will run across your spirit animal, who will ask you to battle it in order to prove your prowess as a B rank mage.

    Weak Monsters:
Hallucinations: As you journey through the forest, you begin to notice things that have not been there before, things that you're certain are real. They appear only in the corner of your eyes and as a result, it has you turning around in circles and losing your direction. These hallucinations can be of anything, from a dead loved one to a creature that goes bump in the night. When a hallucination appears, it will try to lead you off your path, so you may want to be careful and wary when seeing these.
    Normal Monsters:
These are simple woodland creatures, from the measly mouse to the large buck that runs rampant through the forest. In this case, the buck running through the forest has been enraged by another creature and is out to attack anything that happens to be in its path. If you run across this beast, be careful, as it has a tendency to ram and headbutt anything that it sees. Its rams and headbutts each deal B rank in damage, so you'll want to try and avoid the racks on its head. This takes 4 B ranks to take down.
    Strong Monsters:
The hallucinations have seemingly gotten worse, either because you're starving and haven't had anything to drink in a while or who knows. It now seems that one of these hallucinations has gained an utmost real appearance to you and looks as if it could be touched. This hallucination can be of anything, though it is typically of a dead family member or someone who you once loved. Now as an apparition of sorts, this hallucination is capable of dealing A rank damage with whatever attacks it throws at you. In order to take this hallucination down, you need to hit it with at least 6 B rank attacks before it dissipates.
    Bosses:
You have finally reached the end of your spiritual journey, finding who you are, as well as who your spirit animal is. Upon encountering this spirit animal, it will talk in riddles, even giving you a little bit of what seems like useless advice. This spirit animal is decided upon the player, as well as if it has magic or not; however, each hit deals 1.5x A rank damage. Being the strongest of creatures you have run across, this beast takes 10 B ranks in order to show it your prowess.

Your word count goal is 5,000 words total.

    Good luck, young one.

I Didn't Change, I Just Found Myself [Mura Kensho's Exam] Empty Re: I Didn't Change, I Just Found Myself [Mura Kensho's Exam]

The younger shaman would instantly respond to the motion from Kanix, taking his seat in front of her. Apparently, she had to give him some information about what was about to happen, before he could officially start his exam; she told about spiritual journeys, surprisingly new words for the samurai mage. "A spiritual journey... and my spirit animal?" he asked himself after hearing the words coming out of Kanix' mouth, showing great interest in knowing more of those terms. Although, Kyuken just nodded as if he knew of these terms and their meanings, almost like if he'd tried it himself. Meanwhile, mura listened to the statement that he would be asked to battle his spirit animal, seemingly a matter of test, so that the animal can decide whether he is 'worth it'. It could be any other reason too, but he went with this one.

At last, she mentioned the danger of this journey and that not everyone were to return from it; a small thrill went down his spine when hearing that. Fortunately, Kanix would be here for him if he didn't come back in time as she set a five day limit; it would appear to be easier for Mura than regular people. "Hm... Alright. I got it," he responded after her explanation, "I've got five days to find myself... and this spirit animal of mine... sounds like fun..!" He would spot Kanix closing her eyes, appearingly waiting for Mura to do the same. Maybe this was the way of entering this spiritual journey, so he would slowly close his eyes, calm the soul within him, and focus on...

He opened his eyes after a moment, and to his surprise, nothing appeared to have been changed. Kanix was still there, and he was still in the forest as he could see the resembling trees around him, although something was completely wrong here; he suddenly spotted the figure of someone resembling, shockingly turning his head towards the place where it used to be for a second ago. "..!" He got a huge surprise, seemingly remembering that he just saw someone who looked just like... his mother, "... Was that..? No way, was she here?" He jumped off the rock that he was sitting on and moved towards the place, but apparently, whatever was spotted here wasn't present anymore. "..." A huge letdown would hit the shaman like a bat as he just hoped that he saw some figure of his mother. Although, this could be the beginning of his spiritual journey; he was now convinced that the trial had begun.

Meanwhile, he didn't notice the other figure that was watching at him from the shadows; with its bristling, purplish hair and sheathed katana on its palm, this figure grinned with a sinister atmosphere and a hostile expression...

Now that he was sure that the journey had begun, he asked himself where the direction was. Obviously, he wasn't supposed to wander around the forest without any particular 'path' or something; his theory was confirmed as a jingle was heard from behind him. He quickly spun his head around to try and spot the source of this sound, but found nothing but an open path across the forest. "... Hmpf," he mumbled, shaking the confusion off his head, "I must concentrate." He slowly walked across the path that was shown before him, beginning to experience bizarre visions at the corners of his sight; he felt followed, and yet there weren't anyone near him, not even Kyuken. Was he left all alone to do this? What when the time came, where he should fight the spirit animal; he needed Kyuken to have a decent chance. As soon as he thought about his spirit buddy, a figure of the samurai appeared, hidden in the shrubbery. He turned his face towards the direction where he spotted him, but could only grasp a view of someone's silhouetthe moving behind the trees further away. "Kyuken?" he spoke up in surprise, "... Wait, was that Kyuken?" This was all weird; why didn't the samurai rush towards Mura when called? Something told him to follow, but he found it too strange to be the real Kyuken. If he was in the spiritual world right now, then that might've been a trial. "..." The young samurai would move his gaze away from the spot where the figure appeared before, and moved across the path once more...

Sadly, the hallucinations wouldn't stop; he began to see visions of his previous guildmaster Heero, waving over to him as the figure would disappear in an instant. "... Argh, I'm beginning to lose my mind," Mura expressed, whilst finding a rock to sit on, "Phew... this really is difficult. I hope that I can stand this..." He began lifting his gaze to the sky above him; suprisingly, it'd turned dark already. "Huh? It's already evening?" he spoke up, remembering that he'd been given five days to do this on his own. Judging by the exhaustion that had been brought upon him due to the continuous hallucinations, he decided to take a quick rest before moving on...

His slumber was interrupted by the familiar voice of himself, despite the fact that he was quiet and sleeping. It was weird, but for some reason, he could hera the grin and laughter of a figure that resembled his voice a lot. "... Eh, who's there?" he spoke up after opening his dozy eyes, only to get a quick look at the figure; it had bristling, dark hair, completely white eyes and... his clothes on? Wait, it looked just like him; how was that possible? Was this another hallucination? "..! Who are you..?!" he spoke to the person, who just laughed as a response. Mura couldn't get a better view at it, before it vanished into the shadows of the night, only to be switched over with a charging beast. "Huh!?" The animal got close on him, so he had to react quickly; he did so by rolling himself to the side. This happened in an instant, so he had to pull himself together now...

He jumped up on his feet as the beast, apparently a deer, charged towards him. "No you don't..!" he spoke and quickly moved his hand to the air, trying to grab Kyuken... wait, Kyuken wasn't here! "Oh, come on! Kyuken, where are you?!" he roared into the sky, hoping for the samurai to find him if he was out there. Unfortunately, the spirit wasn't seeming to show up, which let the distracted Mura get hit right on the belly by the animal's horns. Spit flew off his mouth as he landed on the other side of the opening that he rested on, slowly rolling over and laying on his stomach. "Argh... I guess that this is my battle only," he spoke, slowly standing up again, "Alright, beast. Come at me." Despite the absence of Kyuken, he still had his swords; Harusame and Futsu-no-Mitama, so he was yet to be helpless. The beast was very impatient, and already charging at him again, but he could see the directions of it clearly; despite the darkness, it was obviously a certain amount of meters away from him, and heading towards him with a certain speed. Its rage was to be expected, and also very present to him.

He jumped just at the moment where it would charge right at his position, soaring above the strange animal. His blades were ready as he would swing both Harusame and the Futsu-no-Mitama at the beast's neck, causing a mix of howling wind and majestic light to crash down the animal. It was poorly overwhelmed by the attack, giving Mura time to stand properly on his feet afterwards. "Hmm... that must be it," he hoped for himself and turned around, only to hear footsteps approaching him. His eyes raced towards the source, and spotted the damaged animal approaching him once again. It just wouldn't give up.

Suddenly, in a huge surprise for Mura, Kyuken showed up from the shrubbery. With exhausted breathing and a sweating face, he showed that he'd run for quite a while to reach this place. Mura lightened up by the view of his missed companion. "Kyuken!" he spoke up, rapidly jump-hugging his spirit buddy, "You're here! What a relief, you're actually here!" The samurai would tightly hug Mura too, showing his miss of his master. "I'm right here, master! Where the hell were you?!" Kyuken asked him, "I tried to find you, but you kept hiding away from me..!" "Wait, you tried to hide from me too..!" Mura replied, as they repeated their sentences at each other for a moment. In a second, their eyes would focus at the charging animal, this time with more confidence than before. "Alright, here we go, Kyuken!" he roared, grabbing the spirit of his buddy and launching it into Harusame. He would launch several hits at the beast, trying to break its foothold, so that he could finish by launching it away with a finishing move.

He managed to launch it up to the air with Stream, one of Kyuken's many techniques that let him create a minor hurricane to lift the beast up. As it landed, it appeared pretty much done for, relieving the younger samurai and his spirit. "Phew," he spoke up, "That was a close one. If you didn't show up, I don't know what I would've done, then..." It was lucky that his companion found his way to him; the exam would be easier from now on.

I Didn't Change, I Just Found Myself [Mura Kensho's Exam] Empty Re: I Didn't Change, I Just Found Myself [Mura Kensho's Exam]

Post by Mura Kensho 2nd July 2016, 10:25 am

Growls could be heard coming from Mura's stomach, indicating his hunger. He hadn't eaten anything due to his excitement for the entire exam, not even breakfast. "Man, I got to eat something..." he said to himself, but before he could continue expressing his huge hunger, another figure appeared. It quickly dove into the forest, but revealed a purplish cloak that was reminding him of the guy from earlier; the copycat that looked a bit like him. "Hey, come back here!" he called to it, quickly following the tracks of purplish aura, "Kyuken, let's get this swindler!"

Him and Kyuken had gone through the forest for a couple moments, before they arrived before a waterfall; the first thing that Mura spotted was, of course, the figure that soared above the surface of the little lake in front of them. Now, he could clearly get a good look at the person as he seemed not to move nor plan to go anywhere else; his sinister smile, the dark aura and, most shockingly, the clothing, the face, the appearance of Mura himself! "... Master," Kyuken spoke up bluntly, "Isn't that... you?" Mura was a little shocked to answer immediately, but shook his head and looked again; still standing there, he was convinced that this guy was more than just a hallucination. "Who... who are you?" Mura tried to ask calmly, although showing a little anxiousness in his words. The figure moved his eyes towards Mura's, slowly moving his lips: "Haven't you realized it, already..?" The dark aura would suddenly burst out, causing the water beneath the guy to wave back and splash, "I guess I'll just show you... who I am." The guy jumped into the air, revealing a katana on his right hand; it looked utterly like Harusame. Mura could spot other words coming out of his mouth again, and again, it shocked him even more: Spirit Bind...

He jumped back and made space between him and the dark 'him', spotting the spirit-bound weapon; how could he use the same magic as him? Who was he; a copy of Mura? "Hey, what's that? Are you copying me..?" Mura annoyingly asked the copycat, who just laughed in response: "Hah! Don't you get it?" The guy would approach Mura with inhuman speed, showing his face right before Mura's, "I. Am. You..!" Mura had already prepared his Spirit Bind, but due to the surprise from 'himself', he couldn't parry the attack and got launched up to the cliffs beside the waterfall...

"Argh..." Mura was trying to get down of the cliff, "Me...  how can he be me? And that aura..." He was trying to understand the situation now; this guy was seemingly himself. Plus, the aura... wasn't that the aura of himself when the 'dark aura' from Pluto surged out of him? Why, and how was this guy using it? Although, it took a brief moment before Mura had to face it; this guy, most likely a part of his spiritual journey, was HIM. And with that conviction, he jumped down of the cliff and soared just above the water beneath him, facing the sinister version of himself. "... You don't sound like me," Mura stated, "Perhaps you really are me... but I don't sound like a freak!" That would cause the Pluto-Mura to charge at the real Mura with a kick towards his belly, quickly parried by the more focusing Mura's spirit-bound weapon. He pushed the dark Mura away, getting a better foothold on the air that he soared on. "... Freak, you say," the dark Mura replied, "It's you who's a complete jerk!" Even more dark aura would emerge from his very skin as he stated that. "How?! How dare you deny this?!" he complained, seemingly referring to the aura itself; the very aura that would change Mura's self when equipped, "How can you not be grateful to Pluto?! Huh?!" Mura would actually try and listen to the words, suddenly having a sad feeling inside of him; yes, he didn't want to use the dark power much due to the effects that it had on him. That was why he hadn't used it for a while now, but was this guy recommending him to use it again? Why? And what did he mean with 'grateful to Pluto'; the very deity that had bestowed him this 'curse', or 'blessing' as other people could see it as?

Perhaps, it would be due to the amount of times where it actually helped him a lot. he began thinking about that whne he charged towards the enraged Mura, who also charged towards him with swords aiming at each other. Mura could remember all the way back to Midi and when he faced vampires with Heero; the power saved him, back then. He could also remember his job with Ibara; it saved him too, back then. Also at his quest with Sorano was it helpful. He couldn't deny that the power was helpful in many ways, and he admitted to himself that he couldn't fully deny its existence; that was what shattered the other, dark Mura as he was the only one who was stabbed. On the middle of the lake, the two figures stood completely still as Mura watched the Pluto-Mura slowly fading away. "You..." he slowly spoke to the real Mura, "Are you... grateful?" Mura couldn't but nod and reply: "... I can't be grateful to it if it takes over me. Don't YOU get it..?" A sparkle would erupt from the Pluto-Mura's eye as he suddenly disappeared from sight, gone...

I Didn't Change, I Just Found Myself [Mura Kensho's Exam] Empty Re: I Didn't Change, I Just Found Myself [Mura Kensho's Exam]

Post by Mura Kensho 3rd July 2016, 4:13 am

Mura stood at the place for a long time. Thoughts were settling inside his mind as Kyuken approached him with worry. "Ehm... master?" the samurai asked to his partner, "It must be hard to... you know, stab yourself and all, but are you okay?" The younger samurai would turn around and slowly nod, after having thought about things. "Yeah, it's just... I kind of get it now," he replied, "This spiritual journey... I just learned something about myself. Or I guess so..." The spirit samurai would light up in curiosity, wondering over what Mura had thought about. "But... how? Did this small, sudden, unnecessary battle learn you anything?" Kyuken asked again, finding this ridiculously short battle worthless of learning, at least from his perspective. Although, Mura was more enlightened about the battle than he was.

After finding a seat to rest on one of the giant rocks near the lake, Kyuken got a wider understanding of the experience. "Wait, was he using the dark power? You mean the dark power that used to take over us once in a while..?" Kyuken shockingly asked Mura, who nodded in response. "Yeah... and he seemed to want me to be 'grateful', but I didn't get it in the beginning..." he replied, beginning his explanation of what he'd learned, "I mean, we've had our troubles with this 'blessing', right? However, on top of that, we've also gotten out of much worse troubles and battles, thanks to it. So I wasn't sure what to feel; grateful or despise it..." It appeared that Mura was quite troubled with this; what was he supposed to do now? He knew that he couldn't get rid of this curse/blessing of Pluto, and he would most likely awaken its effects many times in his life. If he could just have a little more control over it, then it would've been awesome.

"... Perhaps, I'll help you understand yourself," a strange voice echoed in the distance, catching Mura's and Kyuken's attentions. Their heads moved towards the forest once more, wondering over the source of this call. "What was that, again?" he asked himself, "... Another hallucination?" Kyuken shook his head as a reply, quickly revealing that he could hear it too. "No, Mura... I could hear it, too," the samurai anxiously replied. Mura would slowly stand up of the rock and call back: "Who's there..?!" Silence filled the atmosphere for a brief moment, before another call reached their ears: "Your final chance to find yourself." Silence returned to the two samurais, but only for a short amount of time. "... My final challenge..." Mura mumbled, "... Hey! That must be... my spirit animal that Kanix talked about!" He comically waved his arms to the air, embracing the supposedly arrival of his spirit animal. "That means that my journey is about to end! Great!" he cheered himself, "Show yourself, spriit animal! I'm ready to face you..!"

Steps could be heard approaching the samurai; firstly, he expected either a toad or a swan as his spirit animal, due to the close connection between his heart and exactly those two species. However, fate seemed to trick him; what showed up from the shrubbery was no more than a dragon; pretty cliché for him, and also very disappointing. Despite its enormous size, its greenish, jade-like scales and giant jaw, it gave nothing more to Mura than a huge letdown. "..." His face would bluntly look at what was seemingly his spirit animal, "And who are you, then? And where's my spirit animal?" The giant, draconian beast would laugh loudly and reply: "A blind man would be able to see what fate had brought upon him... however, your heart is surely locked away from me." Mura couldn't but tilt his head after hearing that; the dragon didn't even mind answering his question. "... You know, I expected a toad, or a swan, or something in-between, but not a dragon," he continued, "Perhaps that would've been Heero's spirit animal, but not mine... Hmpf..!" He was surely disappointed, honestly.

I Didn't Change, I Just Found Myself [Mura Kensho's Exam] Empty Re: I Didn't Change, I Just Found Myself [Mura Kensho's Exam]

Post by Mura Kensho 3rd July 2016, 4:32 am

"What fate has brought to you cannot be changed... now, are you fuly ready to battle me?" the green dragon asked Mura, who still hadn't moved on with the letdown. Well, at least if he ever got out of here, he could always brag about having a dragon as his spirit animal; however, he already had legit 'spirit animals' back at home; about five, if you count Golem as well. "Huh..." he sighed and pulled out Harusame, "Fine. Let's do this, shall we?" Kyuken would ready himself on Mura's palm as the two samurais would look up at the giant dragon, which they were about to battle... wait, they were about to battle a freaking dragon? He didn't even bother thinking about that; would he be able to survive the battle, moreover defeat it?

The beast gave no opening to the spirit samurai, launching its giant claws towards the ground where he stood at. The samurai jumped backwards, but got hit by a sudden eruption of rocks from the ground beneath his feet, seemingly caused by the dragon. "Kyuken!" Mura roared, "Into Harusame!" He launched the samurai's spirit into his sword after that battlecry, then continued to charge at the beast. Luckily, the dragon had its palm on the ground, which gave Mura the possibility of climbing it. He started out by stabbing the hand with his spirit-bound Harusame, causing a small cry to emerge from the dragon. It responded by swinging its hand around, trying to launch Mura away, but the sword was too deep into the flesh and worked as a bolt to keep Mura on. Of course, the struggle was intense during the swinging.

He took the chance and launched himself further up to the air, having a great look at the body of the dragon. Now, he swung Harusame towards it and caused a gust to charge down to it. It hit the beast perfectly, but the damage appeared low as it quickly responed by swinging its tail towards Mura. He couldn't dodge it in mid-air, so he quickly turned himself into a spirit and let the tail go right through him, tricking the dragon as he would follow up with another spell.

Something was going on, though; during this battle, Mura found it necessary to use the power of Pluto, despite its risks. He knew that he couldn't control it properly; who knew, he would most likely lose his mind if using that power. He didn't have enough confidence in his own power to pull it out; although, during this battle, he found it more and more needed than ever. "... I'm sorry, Kyuken," he quickly spoke up silently, and landed on the ground beneath him. It was now or never, and he had to defeat it in order to finish his spiritual journey. People were waiting for him, so he couldn't afford to lose...

The dark aura began to leak out of his skin, just the way that it did other times; he expected to either go all blank or change in personality by time, but the intense wish to have a decent control to it made him conscious for now. "... I kind of feel that you were waiting for me," he spoke to the dragon, "Waiting for me to use this power, huh?" It was just a guess of his, simply judged by thoughts and looks at the dragon's actions; surprisingly, it was true as the dragon nodded. "If you don't accept yourself in this presence, then how can you accept yourself at other presences?" the dragon asked him, "Many people deny a part of themselves, and thus begin to deny everything else. Instead of admitting the bad trait of theirs, they simply lock it out of their lives... Even if it's difficult, even if it's unwished; those who accept a bad trait's existence, and overcomes it, surely they have the strongest soul."

I Didn't Change, I Just Found Myself [Mura Kensho's Exam] Empty Re: I Didn't Change, I Just Found Myself [Mura Kensho's Exam]

Post by Mura Kensho 3rd July 2016, 5:00 am

Somehow, those words lightened up Mura's mind and swooped away his long-lasted confusions. What the dragon told was true; he always tried to keep away from the dark power that was undoubtly a part of him, no matter the effects. He never considered trying to do something against it, trying to work with it or train himself to master it. He wished to abandon its existence a couple hours ago, and now, he was kind of happy to have such power to work with. Of course, he could master it; even if it's from a god, he believed that every power could be honed, just as every sword could be tamed. Why didn't he think about this earlier; perhaps he really found himself now. He couldn't abandon or deny anything from himself, and this dragon helped him to realize that. He was grateful.

A roar would erupt from him as he charged towards the dragon once more, determined to give it his all now. He could feel the stinging pain of resisting the confusing effects from his 'Pluto Mode', but he couldn't afford to give up now. Especially not after such a speech from the dragon; he had to show his gratitude. A giant, increased blade hit the dragon right on the belly, causing it to step back in shock. Apparently, it didn't expect such an increase in strenght from Mura; fortunately, he could use that to his advantage. "I have to thank you properly, okay?!" he roared to it, pushing it further back with his spirit-bound weapon, "Thanks a lot! Thanks for those words!" The dragon would finally try and launch its tail as a response, but Mura rapidly blocked the major amount of knockback power with his sword. He tried to keep his foothold steady, but the ground moved away from his feet as he was pushed to the side. "Hng..." His spirit was raging now, manifesting in the dark aura around him as it blazed, "I won't lose so easily!" He managed to push the tail away, causing the rest of the dragon's body to spin a little. Sadly, he was a little too exhausted to follow up with another attack, due to the heavy pressure from being in this form. "... I need to end this battle," he told himself, "Hey, dragon! Don't think that your specie is supposed to be that superior when it comes to this battle!" He would wait for the dragon to stand properly once again as it opened its mouth, seemingly to unleash a roar; reminding him of his job with Ibara, he knew that it could take a brief moment to charge it up.

He began circulating both swords, Harusame and Futsu-no-Mitama, in strange but reasonable directions. I never thought that I could ever use this technique while knowing it, he began to think meanwhile, Kyuken, if you can hear me, listen. The swords would form an X as he focused dark aura around the blades. I will master this form properly, someday..., he promised himself and Kyuken, Next time we face anything similar in ourselves... we won't run away from it. You got that? He would finally launch out slashes of pure darkness towards the dragon, double in power compared to his normal technique that resembled it. "Kyuken-Style; Hell's Halo Blade!" he roared, for the first time while being conscious of it. Simultaneously, the dragon would roar towards Mura as well, launching its unknown power at the upcoming slashes...

I Didn't Change, I Just Found Myself [Mura Kensho's Exam] Empty Re: I Didn't Change, I Just Found Myself [Mura Kensho's Exam]

Post by Mura Kensho 3rd July 2016, 5:21 am

At last, Mura opened his eyes again. Apparently, he was pushed back by the clash between his Halo Blade and the dragon's roar; it also created a massive crater beneath them. He was damaged, but surprisingly okay. "Huh... did I win?" he slowly asked himself, before finding the dragon in front of him, "Oh, wait... what's going on?" Everything around him began to pale away, except him and the dragon. "Hehe... you did well, boy," the dragon praised him, "I was actually kind of hurt by that spell of yours." Nothing but a sigh was Mura's response, while Kyuken showed up as well. "And I thought that I was actually going to lose myself again..." he spoke up, "... Hey, I didn't lose myself. Does that mean..?" He was hoping that he finally got rid of the side effects of the dark power, but unfortunately, it wasn't the case as a stinging headache hit his skull. "Ouch..." He looked up at the dragon, while having a hadn to his head, "What now? Is my journey already over..?" Listen to him; for a few moments ago, he hoped to end it quickly, but now, he actually wanted it to last a little longer.

"I must say, yes," the dragon replied to the young shaman, having a more cocky voice than before, "And, just so you know it, my name is Zirconis. The Jade Dragon; you better remember that!" Mura was quite intimidated by the sudden statement, but laughed a little moment after. "Yeah, yeah... thanks for the words, earlier," he thanked it again, "I feel a little more enlightened now. It's weird to explain, but I don't feel exactly like I used to be before..." "That's exactly the purpose of this journey," Zirconis spoke back to him, "This world changes people, or at least those who survives it. Whoever pulls through gets stronger, both in strenght and in mind." Pretty much the same thing as Kanix told him at the beginning, spiritual journeys were the training of shamans. It was obvious that he'd gotten stronger.

"Well, you have a normal world to return to, so... have a good day!" the dragon suddenly dismissed him, surprising Mura a little. "Hey, wait a second..!" he spoke to it as it was about to turn around, "You don't have to go away. Aren't you my spirit animal?" "Ehm... yeah, kind of," the dragon answered, "But what do you need me to? Don't you already have enough spirits to work with?" A sweatdrop would trickle down Mura's cheek as he replied: "Well... you can always stay with me. You know, help me and stuff." he slowly stood up on his feet and looked a little higher up at the dragon, "I'm mostly using Kyuken only, but you can always back me up in his absence." The samurai would spit out in shock and protest: "Hey, I'm never away from you! How can you say such thing about a samurai like me?!" Mura would feel kind of scolded by the sudden uproar, but the dragon would laugh loudly. "HAHA! I never thought that a samurai could be so jealous!" the dragon laughed at Kyuken, causing the samurai to blush in embarrassment. "Hey, I'm not jealous! I'm just stating that Mura..!" he tried to reply, but Mura interrupted him: "No worries. You'll join us, right?" The dragon looked a little more serious now as it thought about it, then nodded.

His eyes suddenly taken away its vision, only to let him spot that he was laying on the grass in an opening in the forest. He quickly pulled his head up and looked around, wondering why he was here. Perhaps this was still Tenroujima Island? He couldn't exactly tell, until Kyuken showed up beside him. "Hey, you're awake!" he greeted Mura, "Me and Zir were looking everywhere for you!" "Wait... Zir?" Mura curiously asked Kyuken, only to spot that another spirit was approaching him from the shrubbery. "Hmpf! There you are, kiddo..!" the dragon spoke to him, surprising the young shaman a lot. He really did join them, didn't he?

I Didn't Change, I Just Found Myself [Mura Kensho's Exam] Empty Re: I Didn't Change, I Just Found Myself [Mura Kensho's Exam]

Post by Guest 3rd July 2016, 8:04 am

    Holy fire burns again
the magic circle is all around it, burning like the innocence of love

Kanix had expected Mura to have gone in the forest and done the spiritual journey that way, as was typical of a tribesman. However, he had unexpectedly fallen asleep in just a matter of seconds, so she had not disturbed the young man. Whatever way it was meant to be, she would let him go on his spiritual journey in order to find himself and come back stronger. She had a lot of hope in the young mage, hope that she had for all of her children back at Fairy Tail. Mura would not disappoint her the moment he came back from his spiritual journey, and she would not inquire about it either. A spiritual journey was a private matter, no one ever spoke up of it after they had returned to the tribe. So, when Mura woke up and looked toward Kyuken and a spirit she could not see, Kanix smiled briefly at him.

Just as she had been positioned, the sixth guildmaster stood to her feet and walked over to the younger shaman. "Congratulations, Mura," the woman stated, crossing her arms over her chest and looking proudly at the boy. "You have returned from your journey, not as someone different, but as a better and stronger you. Welcome to the B class rank. Let's head home."

OOC; From this day forth, Mura, congratulations on reaching B rank.
