It had been a while since Janneline's return to Savage Skull, and since that time... the guild had become unusually quiet. Of course, Za'cha hadn't noticed this transition of sound at first since for the most part he'd been busy in his chambers working on new weapons and armour designs, working on improving and augmenting his current armaments after that field test with an actual God Slayer showed the flaws in his initial design to limit and lock their powers.
It was a grueling process, no less so because along with his own thoughts on the situation, he had to contend with the Dark Celestial Spirit of Pride putting his own two jewels into the discussion, as well as the Rider of Death's Scythe chiming in as well.
Not that he didn't appreciate the input from these two ancient spirits, but there were times when he really thought it would be a good idea to one day make some sort of helmet that would give him his own head back, silencing the two bickering spirits. Least then he could finally get a decent night's sleep, even if only for an hour or two before they inevitably found some way to break it.
Speaking of breaking, the silver-haired dark mage decided it was time to take a break from his diagrams and blueprints to check the status of the guild, and see if anything interesting had been put up on the notice boards or job boards. He did need to resupply his personal forge, and supplies did cost money unfortunately. Even as a member of a Dark Guild like Savage Skull, most of his materials were easier to procure through honest trade rather than simply stealing them. Meant less chances for the Rune Knights or other groups to pinch him on some charge or other.
Of course there were components that required a more direct approach to their retrieval, but that was for another time. For now, he left his chambers and began to walk the halls, letting the sounds of his own footfalls echo through the corridors as he made his way towards the main hall. He wondered if anyone had actually stuck around now, as he looked around the place.
Not that he could blame anyone really... Savage Skull needed to relocate in his opinion since the Rune Knights had assaulted them a while back, then that Fire God Slayer Guild Master... honestly, with the way people kept finding them, they may as well have had a flashing neon sign at the top of their base saying "We're Here~". The notion of it made Za'cha snort.
