Personality: Outside Battle: Dante is a shrewd and very playful man. He lives for fun, and will do quite a lot for some enjoyment to fill his days. Dante can be rude at times and be seen as a mean person, though he is genuinely just looking to find some interest in this world. He is almost always in a playful or mischievous mood, but he can also be serious when the situation calls for it. Dante knows that everything has a time and a place, even if he can be a jerk at times. Dante does not see himself as either a hero or a villain, just a man looking for some entertainment in this world, though he will typically end up on the legal side of things simply to avoid incurring problems upon himself. In Battle: When fighting Dante will usually still uphold his mischievousness, even when fighting strong enemies. When fighting, pain will only serve to excite Dante, as this will only make him feel more and more alive with each strike. Due to the excitement he receives from pain, it is not unusual for Dante to seek out fights and keep them lasting longer than necessary for the sheer joy of it. He is also quite sadistic, so he may deal quite a bit of unnecessary pain upon his enemies for the fun of it all. Of course when needed, Dante can also be serious in battle. He is capable of reading the gravity of a situation and getting serious when lives that he cares about are on the line, or when a personal grudge has been made. Dante does not like to take orders while fighting, though he will usually follow the lead of someone else if needed to. When he gets serious and throws away his mischievousness in a fight he is willing to take as many orders as are necessary, so long as it helps him in the aim of defeating the enemy at hand. Dante tries to avoid leading other people as much as possible, as he doesn't have a taste for it, but when needed he can lead other people into battle effectively, though he treats them more as comrades than subordinates.

- Mischief - Dante is rather mischievous and gets quite a bit of enjoyment out of messing with people, although he typically doesn't do anything too major, in order to avoid people holding grudges against him.
- Food - Dante enjoys most of the vices that the world has to offer, but none of the other vices of this world are matched in comparison to his undying love for delicious food. He particularly enjoys desserts.
- Pain - Pain is always a nice reminder that you're alive, you could call Dante a masochist, but he doesn't exactly enjoy the pain itself so much as the feeling of being alive.

- Church - Having personally seen the intense persecution and hatred that can stem from religious zealotry, Dante has a deep disdain for church and most religious sects.

- Having Fun - Dante will do anything for a little bit of fun in his life. If things are getting a bit boring he'll go out and find some fun, and if he can't find a little bit of fun, then he'll make some.
- Justice - Due to his parents being killed, Dante has a deep sense of justice motivating him. Though his sense of justice comes with a bit of a skewed sense of right and wrong, so he will seek out justice through legal ways, and possibly other methods if need be.

- Boredom - Dante fears boredom, as it makes him feel as though he isn't living his life to the fullest that he could be. This is a deeper existential fear for him than others, since he has already bargained his soul away.
- Death - Having bargained his soul away, Dante fears death quite a bit, due to the awful existence that awaits him in Hell as soon as he dies.
