"So this is where you've been?"
A voice resounded, deep and masculine it commanded or rather demanded the attention of others. Filled with such confidence, a confidence that bordered arrogance in tone, the said voice could have only belonged to but a single man. That man in question, stood in the door way, making the entrance to the shabby hut look small compared to his large frame. He barely fit in the doorway, his back rested against the side of the frame, the tips of his golden hair brushing against the top of the entryway. He crossed his arms, a single ruby like eye peering at her, judging her. "It's almost fitting." That eye closed, in apparent contemplation, it opened a moment later with a certain gleam to its crimson depths. A wicked smirk finally found its home on his lips, "You rotting away here like some piece of trash in," He swept his hand about the hut in an elaborate motion, "A garbage dump." He shrugged, that confident tone giving way to his usual arrogant one.
At long last he crossed the threshold, entering her domain, all the while keeping a watchful eye on her. Gil Vessalius hadn't changed much physically, his golden hair might have grown out some, the sun-kissed waves styled in more of a wild fashion than usual. He was still taller than most, and his physique was nothing short of perfect. Wicked but handsome, a smug smirk always playing at his lips. The same could not be said for the female in the room. "You look like shit." Every word spoken was meant to poke and prod, trying to gain some sort of reaction from her. It had been sometime since he had last seen her, and truth be told he didn't know much about the woman. Her name, her appearance, her magic, and only a vague idea of what she had been like before the guild fell apart. The shambles of a once notorious guild had fallen into his hands, bestowed upon him by their previous guild master, Gil took Tartarus and its members or lack thereof very seriously. Roya being of no exception. "So tell me dear." He placed himself upon a chair, making it look more like a throne than it did a dusty old chair,
"Are you really pathetic enough to have become such a pitiful creature because you lost your boyfriend?" He chastised her much like a parent would their child, "If you are it's no wonder he left you here to rot. A man has no need for a woman whom has no self-worth." Yugi didn't and neither did Gil if that was the case, "Or..." He began, giving her another look as if he was sizing her up,
"Are you not as worthless as you appear?"

For a moment it seemed as if his words were going to have no effect upon the woman. Which would have been rather disheartening, making his whole trip out there for naught. If there was one thing Gil hated it was wasting his time, or worse yet having his time wasted. However, the resounding snap of an old wooden pipe brought satisfaction to the blonde. Apparently, this visit wasn't going to be a complete waste of time. "I know more than you do." He quipped back, his gaze never leaving her form, even when the flickering of a flame started up in an empty bottle. If Yugi was the key to bringing back a flicker of life to the fire mage, even if it was nothing more than wrath, then Gil was prepared to use the lost wizard to his advantage.
Red
A line of crimson was drawn across his cheek, a few stray shards of the broken glass having nicked him here and there. Still, his heavy gaze did not leave Roya's form. None too gently Gil wiped away the red liquid that swelled up with the side of his thumb. Finally, he broke his gaze from the woman, a thick silence enveloping him, as he stared at the little shard of glass mixed with his life force on his alabaster skin. At long last Gil exhaled, eyes closing for a moment, "No wonder he left you if all you're capable of is exploding an empty bottle of liquor." He stood up from the chair, brushing off any stray shards of glass that had pelted him. "If you insist." He licked the stray blood from his thumb, taking a few long strides to the door. It seemed as if he was really going to leave but he paused to glance behind him at her, "A shame really. I was going to offer to help you find out where he went, and what he's doing." False words fell from his lips easily enough, "He really was right about you. Nothing more than a good screw huh?" He hardly took a breath as he continued, "I thought that perhaps you'd want to prove yourself worthy of something, and make him wrong about you. Make him regret leaving you here." He shrugged his shoulders, "Not that it matters much to me. I know other women who are worth my time and effort. As the new guild master I don't have time for angst ridden trash."

A none too gentle hand turned him around, and emerald clashed with ruby for the briefest of moments. The woman hardly allowed him to suck in a breath of air for another nasty comment, instead he could only take in a sharp intake of air. The only sound produced was the one made by the slap, an almost perfect sound of skin meeting skin. It hurt like hell, but it wasn't the first time Gil Vessalius had been slapped. Still, his cheek stung almost throbbing, and the imprint of her hand was likely visible upon his pale complexion. There was little doubt on whether he was deserving of that action, but it didn't stop him from being more than a little irritated. His harsh words were merely for her own benefit, a pity that she could not see that. With almost visible effort he swallowed the lump of anger that rose in his throat, and instead he delicately touched the mark upon his cheek.
He cradled his cheek, and then his jaw when it began to ache slightly. Pop! His jaw popped relieving the pain somewhat, "She's hit me harder than any other woman has." She also was giving him a reaction, multiple reactions, proving that she wasn't lifeless. Though seething with rage isn't exactly how he wanted her either. "Oh?" He replied, hand rubbing circles on his afflicted cheek. "How convenient then," His frame filled the doorway, not allowing her to pass through without having to physically push him out of the way, and Gil would not be so easily pushed around again. "It's about time-" You got your ass off of that couch, but the harsh words were not spoken. Harsh words had gotten her up, had made her angry, so it was time that Gil try another approach, "I already have a job lined up. It's about time you meet some of your guild mates." He moved out of the door, his tone suggesting that she was going to whether she like it or not but just in case he added one last little push, "Unless you can't handle a simple job with myself and a few others."
