Oh what a beautiful day...what a won--- NO. "oooh fluffy!" Well, could this already start off any more off track? Of course it could, yet it didn't. Chloe was currently chasing a furry animal. Particularly a rabbit that seemed both delicious and fun to eat! Though the stupid thing had kept eluding her through many of the woods near by the phoenix mountains. "oh come on fluffy.... I just want to pet you! and eat you!" As annoying as it was, Chloe finally gave up on the mean little white rabbit that oddly enough didn't want to be eaten or chased. "stupid mean fluffy! Such a meanie for not letting me catch you!" Though her expression seemed to change when she noticed where she was. The woods had side tracked her back to the phoenix mountains.

Here, in the mountains was where Chloe not only originated from, but also where the last sighting of 'him'. 'Him' was someone Chloe had no name for, as she no longer sensed his magical energy, but yet was still worried they existed. The memories of her first moments of sentience were filled with fear, and hate for that moment. Yet she still stepped forward, frightened and skittish yet she looked around before scampering off. Her agility, and endurance caught up with her mid-run, as she kept wandering the forest, heading away, but at the same time always looking back. The feline creature hated those mountains but wanted to go across them at some point, she hated not being allowed to understand them due to her fear, and thats what motivated her. If only she had a reason to go through them.

Though maybe she will, maybe she wont find that reason. What was for sure however, was the fact she had came across a near by village, the population seemed low, and Chloe refrained from entering normally, but instead stalked the village lightly, looking to see if any hostilities were around. Yet at the same time, she was in herself a hostility as she also was looking for food. The humans around this town looked particularly weaker, and able to be downed fairly easily, yet the one thing that kept her at bay, was the unknown.

"So three thousand jewels now, and then three thousand jewels when, or if, you make it over the mountains."

"Are you trying to extort us before we even head out?"

"Extorting implies that you can't say no, you can walk away if you want and ask someone else, I was just in the neighborhood and wished to travel over the mountains to get to another destination, further away."

"Then you could do it for less, or all of it at the end right?"

"Never work for free. besides most of these ruffians would probably cut your throats half way up the mountain and take what else you have, or wouldn't have the strength to see it through all the way."

The two travelers looked at each other with a disconcerting gaze as the pink and brown haired woman smirked towards them. She wasn't lying and they really had to get over the mountain, but at the same time asking for so much up front seemed a bit pricey, especially if she ran them in the wrong direction, but at the same time, it didn't seem like they had much choice.

"I suppose, we could use your services."

"Marvelous, then shall we depart up the mountain, and get this little adventure under way?"

An hour later they were heading up towards the mountain, hopefully on an uneventful adventure, that would just get Erika some free money. if anything it would provide a bit of interesting conversation along the way, well for her at least, for them it would probably be annoying, but it didn't matter, all that mattered was Erika was now getting paid to go to where she was already going to go, which was even more of a win/win than normal.

A giddy little smile as she long ended up distracted by over hearing a few voices. Chloe's ears raised up as her body took her closer and closer to the voices. She was still hiding among shrubbery and the tree line when she heard the voices out more thoroughly. The conversation was more than confusing to Chloe who had not heard the beginning of it, but yet she still listened. It seemed the group was going to head over the mountain range, and what Chloe knew was that guy was still there, or maybe he was gone? Who knows. It was the uncertainty that caused Chloe to venture along side the group, yet staying out of sight.

Though it would only be a few hours until Chloe's mind got the better of her. The group was weak, except for the one leading them, and Chloe finally decided to leap from a nearby tree top. Landing with a thud in a feline sitting position in front of the entire traveling group. "Sure you want to go through this spot with such danger?" Her voice was more filled with concern, yet even such she still thought of the possibility of her joining in and helping. Perhaps this would be a good way to earn the jewel thingy people were always talking about. "I could accompany you if you'd like?" Further demonstrating why, she would raise a hand, extending each nail up to two inches away and revealing exactly how dense as well as how sharp they were by swiping at a near by rock. Leaving large cuts in the rock equivalent to as if someone look a heavy sword and sliced at it.

While the group had been on their toes and nervous due to both Erika and the fact of how dangerous the path could be, Erika was far more intrigued by a small little energy source she could feel. It wasn't that it was actually small, but it was very good at concealing itself among the other signals and atmosphere. Needless to say, Erika was intrigued by it, far more than those she was both escorting and extorting the two behind her. Thankfully Erika didn't have to try and hunt the signal down, as it appeared before her, in the form of a very odd, yet surprisingly earnest girl.

"Danger? I will have you know that Danger is my middle name, and it fears me rather than the other way around."

Giving a bit of a smirk to the mysterious girl, Erika turned with a bit of a sigh towards the two cowering behind her at the little show she had put on. While Erika didn't mind more company, even if it proved to be hostile, she did worry that the two following her wouldn't stop nagging about the potential danger of allowing this strange feline girl to accompany them. Then again did Erika really care as she was paid half in advance? The answer was no, she didn't care about their opinion.

"But I suppose if you have nothing better to do, you could join us."

"Are you sure she is okay to have her just join up with us like that?"

"If she had wished you dead, you would probably already be dead, which means she either is smart enough to know I am a threat, or she doesn't wish to harm anyone, just relax I am your guide and protector correct? Would I steer you wrong? Welcome to the party my little feline, what is your name, if you have one?"

Post by Chloe Rivers 13th June 2016, 3:05 am

At first, Chloe listened simply to Erika's words, it was true Chloe knew this woman before her was easily a threat. Those she was protecting however were no more of a threat than a tasty deer in the headlights of a car. Her gaze shifted to them and one seemed to immediately break eye contact and show a tiny fragment of fear. Such cute little prey those few humans were, and to Chloe she had no interest in them so much today. It was after all because of her 'just because' nature that caused her to even wish to help at all.

In fact, Chloe being praised in that same sentence almost threw her off. Was her concealment that natural? Was she that good at hiding that this woman openly admitted Chloe would have been able to kill them. While she didn't wish to ponder that though as much, Chloe only smiled and stood completely up. She would smile when asked about a name though. "Name... I wish I had one to be honest. Of all the times, I was just never given a name to own. I am just commonly refereed to as a feline or kitty.". Her mind began to wander as the entire group seemed to press on, though her gaze kept glancing around, a casual ear twitch when she heard something out of the ordinary. "What about you? Lady Danger, whats your name?"

Again, her ear would twitch. A single pebble knocked down the side of a mountain. They were being watched, but by what. Her motions remained calm. Almost as if she was going by pure instinct. Her body changed little in the way she walked, however one glance to Erika and a simple nod. Maybe the unspoken words would be understood. If they were, then good. If not, then Chloe would have to act on her own and stay more alert. After all, letting the enemy know that they were aware of their presence, would cause hostility in a more dangerous fashion.

"You don't have a name? How strange, everything has a name even if it is only one which we learn through our actions."

"Is this really what we should be spending our time on?"

"You are free to go on ahead if you disagree with my usage of time. Now then that is a tragedy, surely you have done some actions that are worth a name right? Perhaps you have fought against a hundred bandit's and defeated them all, or you have saved a town or destroyed a town, all of it should give you something to go off of."

It was a tiny lecture, but it was surprising, Everything has a name, be it from its actions or happenstance, it's how the world works. Placing her hand to her chin, Erika began to ponder what exactly it meant to have a name, or rather what her name meant. It was a fun little tale that she didn't tell anyone, not even Faeral. Perhaps one of these days she might explain it, but right now she was a bit more concerned about the girl who was before her, and how the two suckers companions were behind her, specifically against any kind of threat was being manifested around her. Perhaps there was a bit of danger lurking around the corner, who was to really say?

As the rocks began to fall behind them, a couple large creatures jumped out, and Erika didn't so much as budge. She was waiting to see this other girls intent before she reacted, if this was part of an ambush or if it was just random chance.

Pondering for a moment as she tried to think of what sort of things shes done in her life already. Eat people, well that was survival. Um, she went fishing and had fun in the water once with Mashyuu, though that day she learned some people tended to not like her choice of when to not be clothed. She also learned some of the society norms, yet cared little of them. No, not much to define her, yet she might as well be honest.

"Well, I simply survived up till now. I've not been in this world for very long" which could confuse some, yet to a mage it might not be out of the norm, well... it still would, but not as bad. For Chloe though her train of thought was very much distracted the moment a second pebble seemed to fall down, and two large critters would appear behind the group. The critters were decent size, despite the roll they were roughly three feet in size, seemed thinner than what they should be, indicating they were fast and sneaky. Too bad said sneaky aspect was already extinguished the moment they jumped out. Not very bright now were they? Oh well. Such is life though, not everything needed to require smarts to live. These things obviously had some reason as to how they were able to hunt in the area.

Though the moment Chloe's mind returned on how to fight them, instead of simply analyzing them her claws were extended as she darted past the group, leaping into the air to claw at one of the creatures only for the second one to easily kick her to the side, causing her to be flung against a bolder with a rather loud 'thud'. This wasn't without reprocussion though, as the critter's arm that was used, had recieved a rather nasty surprised with it currently being held in Chloe's mouth, whom at the last second clawed through and ripped with her mouth just to try and no pun intended, but dis-arm one of them.

The second lunge she made was quicker, more preciese as she targeted the one that wasn't at full health. Instead she would make two vicious yet fast strikes to the target, aiming for the neck with both swipes of the claw. Cutting deep, and dipping behind them before a strike was made. The second critter though whom had a tail, had sent Chloe flying again. Seriously, whats up with things making Chloe go flying with a loud thud again. This time, Chloe looked a little hurt as she grabbed her side before standing up. "That fluffy is mean and strong" she exclaimed, slowly walking forward with both claws still extended, looking for an opening.

Post by Special Snowflake 24th July 2016, 10:31 pm

The flurry of fighting was... well it was primal, unrefined, but somewhat precise. If it was true that she hadn't been long of this world then it would all make sense that there could be some promise, if that was a lie then there was no real point or threat. Erika was inclined to believe her more than doubt her, merely because she seemed simple enough not to lie like that, at least without some kind of primal need. The display of ability got her a bit discouraged when the beast managed to lay a blow upon her, sure it was fast, but it wasn't that strong, should be cut down with precision in a second before it gets any time to land blows, but like she said before primal. One of the critters tried to jump at Erika, the one with a missing arm, not the strong tail that the girl was eyeing up for a brawl. As the critter went up for a kick to Erika's face, she threw her arm out and grasped the things neck without really looking. Tightening and twisting she snapped it in one fell motion.

"Not now, I'm busy watching this little fight."

Dropping the vermin to the ground Erika would wait with baited breath to try and see what exactly this girl was capable of doing, while the pair of travellers behind her started to get nervous. If they were already attacked then that meant that there were probably more nearby and they needed to get out of here. Looking at each other they decided to try and sneak off. naturally Erika noticed it, but she didn't care, if they were cowardly enough to try and run off then they could just deal with all the creatures on their own, but then again to abandon so early and head further in when afraid wouldn't make much sense, wouldn't they try to run away, unless this could have been some kind of strange trap? Nah Erika was probably just over thinking it, but then again she might have quite a few enemies in this world, so it might be the truth. She'd worry about all of it later, she was more interested in how this would develop out at the moment anyway, and besides those who were fleeing couldn't actually escape her, since she placed a bit of her threads in their clothing before moving on.

The realest unrealistic real title[Private - JobL Chloe/Erika] Empty Re: The realest unrealistic real title[Private - JobL Chloe/Erika]

Post by Chloe Rivers 17th August 2016, 5:23 pm

One thing Chloe was adapt at was primal instinct. Once that took over, her body hunched over. Arms drooping to her side as her eyes kept a feral gaze on the prey before her. Her own lunge of speed had taken her a couple steps forward as the creature and before she knew it, her claw was extended out. Speed traded for strength at the primal last moment, pushing her hand further and faster ripping through the tough chitin armor of the insect like creature and tearing a gash through it. Her eyes only stopped gazing at the creature for a second before her body pivoted back, a second swipe was introduced and was able to shread the back of the creature's neck, inevitably killing it as it fell to the ground squirming like a tortured bug.

Though despite all of this, her posture was brought from high horse down to riddled with pain as her knees buckled causing her to crash to the ground. Her arms clasping her side painfully. The wound she had recieved was supposed to be nothing but had cracked more than one rib, and was causing external bleeding at this point. More than that though, it was painful. Adrenaline had allowed her to finish off the prey, but the force of the blow, plus the broken rib simply caused an open wound. One that Chloe doubted she'd recover naturally from as she struggled to stand. "Over estimated that fluffy... Kitten is sorry" she would exclaim, trying to gasp for air as her body trembled with the pain, she still noticed the group had ran off, but were not too far. "The ones we're protecting ran off. " she would motion, hoping to still be a little help by being an informant, as she had positioned herself against a rock.

One thing was for sure, and that was despite the ammount of pain she was in, she was starting to regain a composure of the hunt. Her instincts were created from feral wild cats, and her senses were keen on tracking the other insect like creatures around them. The one that Erika had downed, and the one that was squirming while bleeding out right now were the only two Chloe would be able to think of, but there were no doubt more. There had to be more, right? It was a possibility, but at that same token, she realized Erika had not even tried to fight, her level of power far exceeded Chloe's expectations of what 'normal' was. How strong was she, Chloe did wonder that much, but at the same time, the pain kept causing her mind to jolt back to reality. Her body was still moving on it's own, she was standing now, still attempting to walk while grasping her side. Yet, it was obvious when a dark stain appeared on her shirt, that she wasn't some invincible nekomage that she believed herself to be.

Which it made her feel no longer worth staying, and had ran off, simply phasing away some form of teleportation that she hardly understood.

Edit: Had to cancel the job, lot was going on with both ends. I edited it to make Chloe simply leave the area.
