RYUU

He hates you. No need to feel offended, its simply one of the many things that stands out about him the most. Ryuu hates everyone and anything that is not either A. himself, or B. himself. The only exception to this rule are his two child-hood friends, Kion and Haruhi. Even then, he still acts coldhearted and horribly rude. He can tolerate those he finds annoying, or anybody stronger than him, though, he'll always fight them in the end to prove his own strength. Attempting to try and get friendly with him, is advised with the utmost caution because he definitely is not going to return it well. He's like a wild animal; get to close and you might get bitten.  

In general, he's not a very friendly person. If you except him to do something for you, like a favour or invite him out for a drink (unless you're the one that is paying), he will not counter this in a respectful manner. He does not have a kind soul. Better yet, you could just call him an outright jerk. Though, this is mainly due to his tendency of being a bit socially awkward. He just doesn't know how to respond to most situations, and does so by letting crap fly out of his mouth. Even if the entire world was to compliment him on something that he struggles to do the most, he'd most likely respond with, ‘Shut up’, or ‘Go and die’. And do not think that for a second, if you start crying he'll feel guilty and apologize. Ryuu is not that quick to break under anything near that, and especially will not feel pity for anyone unless he thinks they deserve it. Most of his kindness is usually expressed through actions, compared to words if anyone is witty enough to notice it.

He is the kind of person that likes to decide things for himself. Don't be going and making decisions for him. He will not tolerate that, and probably hate you even more than he already does if you try too. He is going to choose where he lives, how he lives, as well as how and where he dies. Which is alone, by himself. But, this tendency to stay alone is not as baseless as you may think it is. It is driven by his past of consistent inferiority. He lived a pretty harsh life, disregarding the earlier days of his child-hood, people treated him terribly and since then, he was often familiar with always being one of a lower status. Therefore it is easy for him to recognize if he does have a bit of inferiority towards anyone in particular, and this goes forth with many things, not just status. A common thing of this is strength, and he tends to distance himself purposely from people that are stronger than him. This is probably the biggest flaw out of Ryuu; as he tends to believe that he cannot fit in or stay with anyone that he thinks is better than him.

As mentioned before, he is also socially awkward due to his tendency to distance himself from others. Whenever he comes in contact with people, his response is pretty much predictable: ‘Go fuck yourself’, ‘Die’, ‘No’, and something similar to that. To put it out there, he is foulmouthed as hell, and if not for his two child-hood friends, he might as well have been asocial. Other than that, his temper could also be one of his biggest flaws. No matter how calm he may look, and how dismissive he can be while interacting with others, there is definitely a flame burning deep inside him. He is always itching for a fight, and shows a drastic change in mood whenever he gets the chance too. His usual grouchy and cold attitude will change to a fierce, rage one. Just consult his unusually angry and dissatisfied tone and his face when he’s awakened. Oh, have I told you that he hates it when things are not going the way he wanted to? …Well, now you know. Dude’s actually not really good at handling shit when things go haywire, although again, Ryuu may try to cover it by playing tough. Showing a troubled look is a big no-no for him!

Despite how it may seem like it is impossible to get along with him, and that he is loyal to only himself, the young man does have a very strong sense of duty, honour, and responsibility when it comes to the few people or things he does care about. If he says he is sticking by someone, or a particular cause, he will. He’s also a bit of a humanist, if not a realist, in a very odd way: wasted potential goes against everything that he believes in, and he will push people whom he deems as worthy as he sees fit, for their ultimate betterment (whether they like it or not). Power, skill and effort are three things that he respects, and he will acknowledge whoever displays them as people worth relating to, and maybe even following.

Now in addition to battle and leadership, Ryuu is very independent. He will fight by himself, and always warn anybody not to get in his way. He does not like to follow the rules. If there was an outline or a plan to attack the enemy, he would go and do his own thing. Therefore it would make sense that he would not make a very good leader, or, at least express any form of leadership within a group.

Beginning with the crown, Ryuu has a very silky, yet, messy bed of hair that lengthens to the back of his neck, just reaching past his shoulders. It takes the shade of a dark brown, and at some moments appears almost black, and then fades to a crimson red at the ends of his hair. Moving forth to the pools of gold, he has a very alluring and almost captivating set of eyes which take the tone of a light yet striking flaxen. It is uncertain as to whom his parents are, ethnicity obviously crossed between something else that is not of Midi, due to his darker shade of skin; almost appearing as a medium tan in contrast to the people of Midi whom are much paler. The structure of his body is very lean and muscular and he stands at about 5 feet and 6 inches in height. There is a dragon tattoo that runs from his left forehand all the way up his arm and onto the left upper side of his back. It is a traditional styled dragon of the Midi culture and takes the shade of a brownish red. He is also seen almost always wearing a worn golden necklace around his neck, a tag on the end imprinted with kanji that is so faded away its almost impossible to tell what it says anymore, though it seems precious to him regardless.
