Until he had learned his magic, Elian was seen as a kind, carefree, and outgoing guy. He was often seen caring for his younger brother after his parents had died, and was well-liked by the members of his community. The people of the village were aware of his and his brother’s true identities, and the truth behind their supposedly dead father. Elian and his brother were of the bloodline of the infamous cannibal, Victor. The boys’ father had acquired a taste for human flesh and blood and had travelled to satisfy his cravings.
After the village elder had told the brothers the truth, Elian set off to find and kill his father. He had found that he could quickly learn a form of Blood Magic. After learning this magic and realising he could kill his father, Elian’s personality took a drastic change. Elian became increasingly introverted and began developing a case of sadism, and he grew an increasing obsession with the thought of killing his father. In the end, Elian had managed to kill his own father, after his father had killed Elian’s only true friend, his brother. Elian found that the world had seemed to abandon him due to his ancestry.
Afterwards, Elian joined a minor Dark Guild and became known as the Blood Knight. He had become completely sadistic, taking pleasure in his opponent’s pain at his magic. He had killed many people in that time. However, that changed when a legal guild shut down his guild, sending an experienced wind mage to take down Elian. After a hard-fought battle, the mage ended up using his magic to throw Elian off of a nearby cliff, nearly killing Elian and causing his fear of heights.
Elian no longer knew who he was, save for that he was of Victor’s Descent and he could use some magic involving blood, in addition to the burned-in memories of his childhood fiasco involving his family, leading to his wish to avenge his brother. Because of his lack of knowledge on anything, he has had a burning desire in his shriveled up, possibly dead heart to regain his memory. Despite this desire, he is always worrying about if he would uncover something terrifying in his past. His personality, as well as his power, completely changed. Elian remember the rush of joy he would get from the pain of others, and reveled in any opportunity he would get to hurt others. He remains a very introverted person, and would stop at nothing in order to obtain any goal he would wish to obtain, leading to a desire to be stronger in order to finally achieve anything close to happiness since it was ripped away from him in his childhood, which also lead to a desire to paint the world red in the blood of his enemies.
His bloodline being that of the cannibal and blood mage Victor has lead to his obsession with blood and anything that used to be alive. However, the fact that his bloodline caused the death of two of the closest people he ever knew, his brother and his father, settled deep in Elian’s mind. When outside of battle in a time of complete peace (i.e. non-torture-y stuff), he resents his bloodline with a passion, but when in battle, he is completely taken over by his bloodline and wants nothing but the pain and bleeding of everything. This will often is seen as him hunting down retreating prey, and he knows they won’t be able to hide.
In battle, Elian retains some sadism, enjoying the pain of his opposition. He will often disregard his own safety in order to cause his opponents as much pain as possible, without killing them, as death ends his fun. Despite being reckless, he easily becomes aware of his power draining, and will often flee a battle if he begins running out of blood, as if he runs out of blood, he becomes very weak and his magic is all but useless.

In addition, he will often wear red loafers when outside of battle, but will quickly go barefooted when a battle begins. On the inside of his duster, he often has an array of knives in order to draw blood on his opponent. He wears a silver ring with a bright ruby on the top which acts as a button to activate a small blade on the bottom of the ring which impales into his hand, providing blood.
