Description

Soul Manipulation is a magic that existed since the first demons walked the earth. It can only be learned by demons, but is seldom used by demons. It's been forgotten to the extent that there is only one piece, of one scroll that so much as mentions it. For a human to learn this magic, he/she must contract with a demon, and use the power to kill an amount of a type of creature. Both are decided by the demon. Soul magic has the ability to kill, or incapacitate; depending on who is in control. In its basic form, the magic has two routs; Material, and Astral. Material transforms souls into spiritual objects, but can never be used to re-create life or the likeness of it. It can also be used to reinforce non spiritual objects so they can interact with souls. Astral Soul Manipulation is using energy from the dead, in the form of decayed souls to effect the real world. Use of this type is rare, as most the wizards who "mastered" it, attempted to rebel against the demon they contracted with, and payed the price when they realized demons possess far more power than humans. The magic takes on a primary Dark Blue, with a light blue secondary color, and a combination of grey and white in some areas. Being a demonic magic, this magic can also grant the user the ability to tap into darkness magic as well. As these spells are either Soul, or Death element; only a Soul Slayer, or Death element Slayer can consume them. Niyol has an ability to create a pair of black, feathery, angel wings that allow him to fly at the same speeds he sprints with no speed modifiers at all. These wings are part of his being, and if hit, Niyol will take damage. Niyol also has the ability to see Souls, this yields no "stat" benefits, and does NOT allow Niyol to see further than normal. He is able to switch between normal vision and soul sight at will.

A small note, instead of Magic Power being used to cast spell, Niyol uses Souls which is the undead equivalent of MP. Below, I’ll either specify ‘souls’ or “ƧƧ”  He can channel the souls from the dead through his body, and convert that into spells that he can actually cast. Naturally, there's unlimited amounts of souls in this world, as death is abundant. However, his body can only handle so much casting at once before he suffers the symptoms of magic exhaustion. The rate of exchange is the same as normal magic power. Niyol starts with 100ƧƧ, just the same as all mages start with 100MP. If a B Rank spell costs 15MP for a B Rank player, it costs 15ƧƧ for Niyol. Also because of this, Niyol cannot be detected by any non-soul mages. Likewise, he cannot detect the presence of other non-soul mages. His magic cannot be dissected through any means, unless the mage dissecting it is soul element. The only way a person can learn of Niyol's magic, or him of theirs, is by seeing him use it first hand, or by him telling them directly.

Strengths

☠ Being highly versatile, Niyol's magic permits him the ability to have devastating damage, painful debuffs, damage over time, healing, buffs, or any other class of magic. This is due to there being many ways to die, and sometimes, death can be quite generous and allow you but a few more moments to live before he visits you.

☠ While not necessarily able to transition to other elements, Niyol is able to summon beings that belong to other elements. Their souls are his to command, and command them he shall.

Weaknesses

☠ Jack of all trades, master of none... While Niyol can dabble in many different effects, his effects can never become godly to the extent that they effect those 2 ranks above his own...

☠ Some spells require multiple spells cast before it to be able to be used. These can prove detrimental when the spells before it are interrupted out of the blue... normally resulting in Niyol taking damage.

☠ The spells that require multiple spells before it (obviously) can't be cast at all if the spell before it was interrupted.

☠ Spells that require multiple spells before it normally have those spells specifically bound to it. Meaning that Niyol has less spells than normal mages when this is taken into account.

Lineage Abilities (Cosmetics)

• Niyol is able to remove the soul from any living body and place it inside anything that he desires.
• Niyol's Spiritual Presence cannot be used to pinpoint his location. Those who sense his presence, no matter how near or far they are from Niyol, will feel as though he is standing directly beside them.
• Niyol is able to sense any soul within 150 meters of him, increasing to 1 mile at H Rank. This does not provide any other benefit besides knowing a soul is present and Niyol cannot distinguish between mage and non-mage, but he can distinguish between Horse and Human.
• Niyol has the ability to convert his form to appear as anyone he desires. While doing this, Niyol cannot use magic of any sorts, not even equipment abilities but he can use this part of his lineage to switch back to his real form. This transformation may be done 3 times per thread.
• Niyol has the ability to change his Scent at will. This does not provide any 'extra' benefits besides being harder to track down.
• Niyol is able to revert time around entire buildings, or wounds of NPC's to repair them. This cannot be done to wounds in PvP, nor can it be done to Niyol or PC's regardless of PvP or PvE.
• Niyol is able to create an entire world where he is the one and only God. He is able to create the laws revolving around this world, and alter them as he sees fit. However, this cannot be used in PvP unless planned with the other party; and only in PvE to change the scenery around him. The laws of the world created cannot provide special bonuses, or anything that effects the tide of battle.
• Niyol has the ability to open portals to other worlds, as well as teleport to any destination he desires. This may only be used as a mode of transportation, and not as an in-combat ability.

Lineage Abilities (Non-Cosmetics)

God of Death
Niyol has the ability to kill anything and everything without needing to touch it. Those beings who have an immunity to dying will find that in Niyol's presence, their immunity is stripped. Niyol has the ability to instantly kill Weak, and Normal rank NPC's while performing jobs. However, Strong and Boss rank NPC's have particularly strong bodies and will only be weakened, reducing the amount of hits to kill by 50%. When interacting with PC's, this ability strips their immunity to death or death magic, and replaces it with either a buff or debuff depending on their rank compared to Niyol's.

Endowment of the Queen
Gaining the same prosperity Altsoba had when she was the ruler of her own kingdom, Niyol gains +100% jewel on all jobs that supply it. He may optionally sacrifice ALL EXP to gain an additional +100%. Jobs that do not normally award Jewel, will award it based on the rank of the job.  This ability nullifies any other jewel modifier placed on Niyol, such as those who use the "Gold Rush" lineage, or Golden Lacrima Milk. It does not nullify these for other players however. The below values are for jobs that DO NOT already provide jewel. These values do not gain the passive +100% jewel, but Niyol can still sacrifice all the EXP to gain +100% to the reward.

        - B Rank: 15,000 Jewel

Demonic Contract, Holy Prayer
Due to being partially demonic, and partially angelic; Niyol is able to answer Prayers, and form Demonic Contracts. Niyol may form a bond with a maximum of 4 players who in their time of need may either pray for Niyol to assist them, or call upon him with the words "Venite et adiuvate mihi Niyol"
- The price for creating a Holy Contract with Niyol is that his Primay Magic will be locked during jobs he is called into.
- The cost for Demonic Contracts is that he will have 50% HP when he is called in.
- On the summoner's part; Calling upon Niyol, whether through prayer or through demonic tongue, costs 10MP. The summoner may use an additional 10MP to call Niyol in with either full HP, or his primary magic unlocked if he/she so wishes.
- Niyol uses up 15% MP per posting cycle to remain on the field.
- Niyol's spells all cost 2x MP to cast while being summoned
- In order to gain EXP for a job, Niyol must either kill 3 enemies, or deal 25% of the Boss's HP in damage if called in specifically for a boss.
- If Niyol gains EXP for a job, he will gain it based on the rank of the job.
   - 50% for D -> S
   - 40% for SS
   - 20% for 10 Year
   - 10% for 100 Year
- Lastly, Niyol may not be called into a job more than 2 ranks above his own.

Aspect of Altsoba
Altsoba grants Niyol some insight into her powers as a wielder of Time and Space in order to help him survive. This grants Niyol 1x Time OR Space element Signature that scales with his rank, capping at S Rank. This must be registered with his primary magic. When Niyol is S Rank, he will gain access to 1 spell of each rank from D -> H as a bonus spellbook. However, Niyol may not use this magic while also using his Primary/Seconday.

- In order to use these, Niyol must switch over to the magic, causing all of his Primary and Secondary spells to be put in an unusable state.
- Any spell that was on cooldown when Niyol switched over, will remain on cooldown.
- When Niyol switches back to his normal magic, all spells will be placed on a 2 post cooldown. Any spell that was already on cooldown will have its cooldown increased by 2 posts.

Niyol is able to convert his entire being into an invincible, invulnerable soul. While in this form Niyol is able to traverse through objects, levitate, and interact with non-magical objects. This means he CAN cast every spell he's got, use every ability he can, but it won't effect anything while in this form. However, he cannot cause harm to anything, not even NPC's. During PvP, he may do this 1 time per encounter, and it lasts for 1 post.

Unique Abilities

☠ Spirit Pressure:
Niyol's powers grow stronger and stronger as he progresses through life, so much so that the spirits around him grow in so great of numbers it effects the gravity around him. When Niyol is present, gravity is increased drastically, to the point where enemies have their speed reduced by a fixed amount depending on their rank relative to Niyol's. Niyol may use 10ƧƧ to increase the spiritual pressure, and increase the speed reduction by 20% per 10ƧƧ he uses. This debuff lasts for 1 post. If a player's speed would fall below -100% by this effect, they will take player rank magic damage. If ƧƧ was used to increase the Spiritual Pressure, the resulting debuff will only last 1 post before reverting to the original level it was supposed to be at. The bonus 20% is reduced by 10% for each rank above Niyol the player is, and not increased by any amount if they're below his rank.

☠ Consume:
When Niyol strikes an enemy with a Spell/Ability, that opponent loses 5% of their maximum MP and has that much of it transfer to Niyol in the form of ƧƧ. If an opponent cannot lose anymore MP, they will be dealt an additional 25% damage from Niyol's magic.

☠ Death Charge:
For every 1 HP Niyol loses, he builds up 3x "Death Charges". Niyol is able to consume 60 of these, as well as 3% MP (once per post) in order to teleport himself anywhere within 10 meters. He may consume 120 to increase the rank of one of his spells/abilities by +1. This may only be done on the same spell once each. While he has a total of 300 charges built up, Niyol has +50% melee damage. If 600 are built up, he has +25% magic damage.

☠ Reap:
Once per thread, Niyol can place his hands on an opponent non-player controlled NPC, during a non-PvP fight and deal damage equal to 20% of that enemy’s max HP. Half that amount is then added to Niyol’s ƧƧ total.

☠ Death Aura I:
Niyol is constantly surrounded by a pure black aura consisting of pure Death energy, causing all armour equal to his rank to absorb 20% damage instead of 50%, and cancels out the damage shaving from armour equal to his rank. Once per thread, Niyol is able to pay 15ƧƧ to cause his next spell, if it lands, to ignore and shatter the armour equal to or below Niyol's rank, of all enemies it hits.  Enemies who are unarmoured take 30% more damage due to the aura breaking down their bodies, making it less rigid. This is increased by 20% for each rank below Niyol the enemy is, and reduced by 15% for each rank above Niyol the enemy is. The range of Niyol's Death Aura at this stage is of 30 meters.
