Thar be Demons in those hills!

Cusped within the morning dew laden upon the stony mountainside was a small hut of ramshacle wood no more than ten feet tall with crude construction a seven now, sheer winds tore at the loose construction of the small shelter, however it was here that we begin the journey throughout the phoenix mountains, to the small board in shambled of which a black-hued figure now awaited, cerulean eyes examining closely the details of one marking. Reaching out precariously, the cloaked one tore the mark from the board, heel reeling back as she twist to an about-face and tore away from the flap of the hut. Thinking of flap, the cloaked one thought back to the small and pudgy figure within - some sort of fish-person but damn them dewflaps... they were pretty fine... if your in to fish-people.

Crossing that, the cloaked one quickly scurried from the hut and down through a sloping pas of the mountain which lead to a flat plateau which swept on for about thirty meters before ending in a dip that pushed into the mountainside. A few things could be noticed by this cloaked figure - first of all that they were wreathed within a black cloak with hood drawn to obscure their features save the blue irises hat pierced the darkness. Upon the figure's back was a leather strap attached to bone-wrought scabbard, a curved, broad, and large sword concealed within. At her side was a gourd capped with red, bearing a strange marking upon it - seeming to be attached at the waist. The cloaked one took to a nearby stool, taking a moment to assort her bag while also withdrawing a folded piece of paper and carefully unfolding it to reveal a map.

Drawn upon the first piece of unfolded paper, which was a square of five feet by five feet, was  a map of the entirety of Fiore, one which didn't go into specific details on locations but simply listed their names. Folded back up, this piece of paper was set aside for it wasn't what interested the woman at this moment in time. Rather, one of the smaller papers, roughly half a foot by half a foot. This piece of scrap contained the map which the fgure had been given in the hut after a small price of jewel - detailing Phoenix Mountain in all of it's specific glory. The area of interest was but one location, and finally the figure managed to spot it among the rest of the map. This piece was folded up and shuffled back into the map leaving only one piece of paper in her hand which detailed all the fish-person could find on the demon. IT was certainly an interesting lead, however it too was returned to the berth of the map, before all was returned to the pocket.

Instant dread and reverence washed over Yuki as she felt a presence nearby. Stone crumbled under the weight of the cloaked one's boot, lifting from the sole as the entity's pursuit had began and the target was the very same which the other had sensed - the demon itself. Pushing up, leg musculature  swayed forth and pressed into the ground once more in a pitter-patter of soft crunches. Swaying forth, the cloak one inclined the last of the stairs which had brought them about and to where they planned - the foyer of the demon's nest itself however they were not alone as cerulean eyes focused upon one another. The figure, none other than Niyol himself, was examined under close scrutiny until tiny cylinders of flesh pushed into view and away towards the back of the silk they had caressed. Hood pushed back, silky plumes of blue hued strands pushed out in every-which direction, strands swaying back into an orderly pattern to frame the countenance of the woman now revealed. A porcelain portrait was painted for Niyol, one of great beauty with refined regal features and an angular frame-set. Soft dulcet words escaped the pursed lips of lilet hue, taking to an adorned curtsey which ended with the flourish if one, left arm in grandiose fashion. Her voice was filled with reverence and respect to the male standing before her. "I assume that you are here to defeat the demon within this hive? That is my purpose as well. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Sir Niyol. I've heard rumours about your deeds and accomplishments. You may simply call me Yuki, if you wish."

As for the woman herself... Standing at six feet tall with slim shoulders and an athletic frame, Yuki has a very beautiful appearance with vivacious curves and more than moderate sexual assets. Her slightly tanned body is well-build despite appearances from the crown of her head down to the long legs. Her countenance is angular with attractive features and a pair of blue irises. Framing her countenance is the blue hair which extends to her ankles and adorned with a white and black cap, and at the point between her collarbone and breasts is a birthmark. With the cloak cast off, the outfit was seen as one of a white-black uniform with similarly-hued cap. At her back was obviously a large sword sheathed within bone scabbard. From a first glance, she could certainly take care of her own, though welcomed the help which Niyol would hopefully provide.

Though certainly respectful in tone and mannerism of Niyol, the tone of reverence seemed genuine, though knowing of some of the more popular events conspired of Niyol the woman wished to learn the truth of them, owing him at least that much. Pressing up from her position with a bound, the female made her way closer to Niyol with a bound, the gourd at her side sloshing with liquid. Quickly, icy fingers drew upon wooden hilt and with one clean sweep of fluid movement, withdrew the curved sword from it's scabbard with a sibilant 'shliiiing' to reveal the full five-foot length of the blade, yet she handled it with skill. The weapon seemed to be germanic in origin, with a broad, curved blade, common cross-guard with the edition of a bit of metal known as a 'nail' protecting the sword-hand on the forward side side of the blade. The wooden buckler on her opposing arm was now attached through a single strap. Focusing upon the dead eye of the one before her, the woman took to pace close-by but not within arm's reach - feeling that Niyol would likely want his personal space with no intention to invade it of her own.

Passing through the doors, she focused her attention on the task at hand rather than waste speech and thought on Niyol entirely, passing through the ominous door without a thought on the manner. The cerulean depths were no longer their usual lively glow but had grown to frozen over as her features flattened into one of icy dispassion and genuine frosty disposition. There would be no need to expend mana quite at this juncture, so her normal would would work well enough now. Perhaps when the two were drawn into the thick of the fight the woman would show what she was capable for now, but the sort of forward-thinking she was capable of aided to her tactical mindset. The woman didn't seem bothered by the appearance of Hana, in fact it seemed some of her icy disposition faded from her features.

"Yuki Chimei, charmed; and I've heard about the same as any dark guild member - primarily about killing babies and women and men and such, the usual I suspect though that is not why I am respectful of him. As for those ideas, I'd rather form an analysis of my own than rely on rumours to tell me about someone. My guild, Savage Skull, though I walk my own path.... which, at the moment, is unsure."

Stepping through the rocky carapace of the hive, the three of them progressed forwards while the red-haired lass had explained to the woman about the past of Niyol and it's portents of having no effect upon who he was - fabricated by demons or some what. Cold dispassion drawn upon her countenance, Yuki continued her saunter onwards while listening to Hana with the slightest smile enveloping her lips. The woman was smart enough to draw conclusions of her own volition without the need of rumours to help her form opinions, so she she was being drawn towards believing Hana's explanation with little difficulty upon the other to convince her. Yuki heard out the red-haired girl then spoke of her own accord, pink-rosy lips pursing in thought of exactly what would be said to Hana. Eventually, a though occurred to Yuki, which would churn into an idea and then a monologue as she proofread every word wisely in her mind. Finally, Yuki spoke earnestly in a dulcet tone, speaking directly to Hana. "I do not believe he is the evil being recorded within the reports and rumors I've heard, though at the same time I've not known much of him beside these rumors so I don't know much of him of my own. I'm willing to get down to the bottom of exactly who Niyol is, however that can't be easy with him wordlessly trudging ahead of us. It's actually strange as I've been looking for someone... and your master fits the description. The rumours are not my reason for reverence - it is rather his mastery of death and all of her aspects that draw an immense amount of respect from me for him. He is everything that I wish to be, and so much more. As for the someone I've been seeking, one who can teach me and guide me."

The three continued forth along the hive's cavernous-like depth as Yuki explained everything she had to bear to Hana, her voice neither particularly warm nor distant simply straight-forward and truthful. She didn't even seem mindful of the two demonic beetles who crushed through the roof of the structure, continuing her explanation in suspended motion. Observation was enough to tell that these enemies would be of no difficult to Yuki so they would be naught more than worthless husks to that of Niyol ahead of the two women. There as simply no logical need for Yuki to proceed and the curved, broad blade of the Kriegsmesser remained stationary upon her shoulder without intent to get involved at the moment. Yuki's icy irises focused intently upon the form of Niyol as he continued forwards, casually as he did. The pair hadn't even put up a threat to Niyol, which interested Yuki Chimei as slight laughter arose from the woman's lips. There was no reason for mana expenditure until the two reached the big bad - at which point she intended to join in on the fight regardless of Hana and Niyol's intent. "This is good... I can save my stamina and mana for Baraiel after all, if Niyol is so un-comparably strong. Not as if those things were a problem for me, though certainly not for him. This is quite interesting admittedly, though what interests me more is your master himself and not the brevity of his harnessed powers."

Continuing forth into the depths at the current pace, Yuki listened intently about how Hana had not wishes to see the fullest capability of Niyol - indeed, it seemed that few if any could stack up to him from the sight just witnessed. She wasn't much for power solely the sake of itself, however which meant that regardless of the full extent of Niyol's power, she didn't care. It seemed they weren't alone, however, as more of the beetle-like demons could be viewed further ahead. Yuki didn't exactly want to sit here and let Niyol have the task of solely carving the pathway to the final location, though she couldn't complain with Hana's logic either. Unless directed otherwise the blue-haired beauty would simply remain in reserve with er sword listlessly hanging off her shoulder. Lastly, Yuki wanted to better socialize with Niyol, but he seemed like a rocky exterior - unable to open at the moment. If socialization occurred, it would have to come from him rather than vice-versa. Yuki would simply continue to watch Niyol with growing interest for the moment, yet a lingering desire to learn more of him than the powers which he harnessed as such didn't matter as much as the man himself. Reaching to one side, the woman removed a glass from a pocket to her side and uncapped the gourd to let the cap fall idly to one side. Finally, she carefully poured a drink while waiting idly - a red liquor of some sorts - and then returned the cap to the gourd. Suffice to say that she next rose the glass to her lips and took a long draught of the crimson liquid, and would continue to do so until either the glass was emptied or she was spoken to by Niyol herself. It seemed that whatever the liquor was, it hardly had an effect on Yuki so it was safe for work. Perhaps she simply admired the taste.

"Hyumm... want me to take these or would you like to handle them yourself Niyol? I mean, I know it wouldn't even take a thought for you to destroy them and for me it's a good thing that I keep a reserve of stamina and mana for when we fight Baraiel himself. I will of course defer to your own judgement on the matter simply wish to let you know I am ready and able to fight."

"Sounds just good to me, I'd rather pull my weight than simply sit around and allow another to do the job for me. I'll take the one on the right, Hana. You can handle the other one. We can meet back with Niyol when we finish these cretins off." Spoke the woman in a dulcet tone as eyes hardened to icy cold and the slight smile that had played on her lips creased into a line. The icy cold eyes focused upon the fool demons which sought to cross the likes of the three of them, they had to have a death wish of some sort to simply show their presence to the three beings. Well, if they had such a wish, then it would only be right for her to fulfill it. She almost reeled at the spirit pressure unleashed on the bugs, she had felt it the entire time but had managed to progress with only minimal effect yet it was there and ever constant, a weight on her shoulders. Finally, the bug took to his approach, taking to the same method as when attacking Niyol, releasing some sort of energy to it's horn and charging forth. The horn would likely have skewered her too if not for her skill as a warrior.

As the overly large beetle-like humanoid rushed at her with horn held down and mandibles reaching outwards, the overly large sword on her back finally whirled into action, metal meeting carapace as the demon was staved off from death alone. Reaching over, Yuki released a bolt of ice into the creature's underside which caused guts and the sword to spill out somewhat as she used her strength to toss the demon back. As it rushed for her the Kriegsmesser was lowered, and as it approached Yuki's hand whirled into an upwards slice which cleaved into the soft under-belly of the creature - sending two perfectly symmetrical halves to either side. Yuki quickly made off to rejoin Hana, wiping demon cuts from her sword with a clean sloth then sliding back into the bone scabbard. As they made to rejoin Niyol, Yuki listened and spoke in turn. "I do not fear him nor fear approaching him. The hesitation comes from that he seems dead inside and un-approachable."

[i]"Nnf, well I suppose the horrors in my own life pale in comparison to that which he has experienced. Well, let's catch up to him and see what's going on I don't like being this far away. Hopefully we can end this hive's tyrant soon" Yuki had experienced much horror, grief, and hardship in her life though she didn't think it could stack up with someone loosing so much. She wordlessly continued until confronted by the two beetle-demons which confronted herself at full frontal. By the time the buckler was raised, the mandible-like arms were already sweeping across her frame though quick a quick downward jerk she managed to sever the arms with her sword while sweeping it outwards and then up into the innards of the creature to cause it's guts to spill onto the rocky mesa while both came in now- the first one attempting for a last ditch suicide run. Both would move quickly, but the now-dead beetle simply slammed into her and was knocked aside as Yuki shifted about to hold the one behind her on the buckler. Swiftly raising her foot, Yuki kicked the creature off, releasing a bolt of frost and then finishing it off with a cleaving slash. Quickly swiping the sword to one side, Yuki began the cleaning process when she noticed the crack on the sword. Rejoining Hana, Yuki brought the weapon back to her scabbard. Hana could notice a pair of fissures on her right check, almost like cracked glass. Two on one was harder than it seemed with minimizing her use of mana in saving it for the big fight to come in the near future. She wasn't the sort to hold herself back, but she could deal with these hornless demons without much magic then it was only better on her in the end when they had to face the big mad at-last. As for Hana's words, Yuki listened intently to the stories told of the yonder years of both individuals as told by Hana before commenting and heading up to meet with Niyol. "Meh... normal swords will never last long with my overbearing sword style. Seems this one's about done in as well..."

Idly would the two women step through the largely etched hallways and into the room proper where Niyol was knelt down, attending to the dead from what it seemed. From her view it seemed like this was more important to Niyol than the mission which the three were now embarked upon and this was fine to Yuki as it seemed they were here for different reasons but still had come together for an overall common cause. Yuki quickly passed through an arch with Hana before arriving before Niyol just as he was finishing his duty to the dead. Yuki quickly rung her sword out of the scabbard and handed it over to Niyol gently. She was already well-aware that the sword wouldn't live long as her fighting style was one of overpowering which tended to break swords. Truthfully though it surprisingly wasn't her true fighting style but merely something she picked up along the way so as to never need to utilize her main form of fighting unless she was in a serious fight. There was no need to use a style was was created and honed simply for the act of killing another human without an appropriate reason but this demon would likely draw her out and require her to use it and she had already come to terms with unveiling it. "Mmh.. I simply use this style because of the truth behind my true form of fighting, however it seems it would be better to use Arkrajen then to simply break swords, I'll just have to come to terms that the style was built explicitly to kill another human being. Thank you for repairing the sword though, you have my thanks."

Yuki quickly took the sword back, listening to Hana and Niyol with a slight grin as it seemed these two were close in some way, though it would take Yuki some time to likely be ready to speak openly to Niyol, she wanted to approach him at the right time rather than forcing interaction. Reaching Back, the sword was quickly slid into it's scabbard as they continued along the way, a tremor running through the walls as the malefic energy seemed to intensify. She was already preparing for the fight which would undergo as they entered the ante-chamber though whether to use everything she possessed was another question entirely. Yuki felt as if she would have to use at-least three spells which one of them would be essentially negligible to cast and then there was her particular ability which bled mana constantly but it wouldn't be an issue.

It was then that they came upon the mouth to the core of the hive, that Yuki cast what she had finally prepared. Black lines curved outwards in every which way as a series of lines enfolded into twin circles that stretched around the form of Yuki at the eaves of her feet - black taint awash around her entire body in streaks of pale hue. Around her right arm now, which lie outstretched to perpendicular of her body, black energy manifested into a pair of crimson lines which formed circles that now enmeshed the arm. Colour faded from the right arm as it became of alabaster hue, the nails turning into sharpened talons in an instant. Now, the black lines coalesced into runes crossing her arm as the crimson light formed a circle at the end of her arm's stretch. Moisture in the air pooled up around her, snowflakes blowing across as the ice formed into two large wings - both of pure ice. Meanwhile, the energy of itself pulsed as the blade was withdrawn from the space between the two rings. The blue blade is complemented by wavy lines across it's surface with an ornate hand-guard bearing a blue crystal and hilt. The pommel is set with another blue crystal and a series of beautiful feathers poking outwards.

Finally, the demons would be upon them, but Yuki had already taken to the air as Niyol released his spell, landing among a particular large group of beetle demons and slamming her sword into the ground which would release an aura of icy chill as she shouted "ICE BURIAL!", the chill turning to frost as the area within twenty meters was flash-frozen. Now, four tendrils of ice would start beating up on nearby demons and Yuki took to the sky once more Finally, she reached the door and to the ante-chamber of the great demon. The manifestation of vampiric undeath had now spread from her arm and throughout to course her entire body. Yuki walked idly towards the laboring form of Baraiel. A jewel vial was set out on her garment in a pocket, to note. Finally, Yuki pushed off and took to a dash which was brought into a flying charge!

Yuki couldn't help but have a laugh at the overly large demon's expense for she was no longer a puny human by this moment but a being of undeath. She was already on high as the conversation had began, taking analysis over the demon's form to work out the flaws and strengths of his form into a plan of attack rather than just barbaric charging directly at the foe. Already the humidity in the air was being sucked out and replaced with cool air emanating directly around the woman as her features deadened to icy dispassion, grim truth set into her features as the blade of diamond-hardened ice was hefted over her shoulder. Finally, crimson wings arranged behind her as she broke into a lunging flight at the Demon, but not before releasing three bolts of magical ice directly at the Larvae portion of the figure, each in a particular key location that would upon his spring up into an ice net which threatened to freeze over the entire larvae portion and it's abilities to spew out more slaves right then and there - furthered when she slammed her sword down into the top of the Larvae, twisting and turning to avoid his attacks to plunge her sword into the top and flash-freezing it which only further served to spurn on the freezing up to the end of the fleshy bits.

Yuki quickly backpedaled to face the demon itself now, bringing her sword into the massive appendage which sought to pierce her body and parried it off to the left side before whipping majesty back around and up through the tenuous material. He started to bulge and gather something in his mouth then spew out his venom. Yuki quickly uncorked the vial, avoiding the brunt of the venom and managing to gather enough of it into the vial before coring it. Unfortunately, she didn't see the third attack coming and was slammed hard in the side which sent her reeling. Yuki was able to recover well enough and now faced him again - pieces of her armor chipped along her torso. She avoided any physical attack her way as she busr towards the torso of the demon in a blurr and released her sword into a series of needle jabs - each seemed to freeze up some of his body as the ice spread. Finally, after being hit by the creatur's ice, she lipped up and dove her blade down into the creature's head - releasing frost in an area, albeit a smaller one. Finally, blue energy gathered along the blade as it was driven skyward, coalescing into the blade as the sword wrung down, a ray then releasing from the tip and down into the creature's core before stabbing it once more. By the time she was done the demon was too fatigued to move much and was in the makings of being mostly covered in ice. Finally it slumped to the ground as the sword finally plunged as deep as it could.

Yuki quickly landed on the ground before allowing all of the magic which was active around her to be dispelled. This caused the magic to almost melt away from her and to return to the ether as she was now back to her original state. She observed as Niyol performed some sort of rite for the dead, allowing him to finish before approaching him. "Sir Niyol, before we head out of this tunnel and back to our usual livelihoods, I want to ask for you to allow for me to become your student. I've been looking for one who can teach and guide me for a while now and well... I don't have much of anyone to go back to."

She quickly took the dark feather and headed out, returning to whence she came.
