The reason i had him be in a guild is because of guild missions and all that good stuff.

I like player interaction and being a guildless prick walking around in the wilderness alone sounds kinda boring. fixed the other stuff tough

Being guildless actually does not limit you like a guild would; in fact, being guildless means you have more options. As a legal mage, you would be forced to only team with mages from your guild if you ever decided to make a team. If you were guildless, you'd be able to make a team with other guildless mages or even neutral or dark mages. Guildless are also able to take any job they want, from dark missions to neutral missions to legal missions. The only thing they don't receive are guild perks, like the guild bonus when on jobs or guild spells and such. Otherwise, you're allowed to team up with anyone on a job if you don't want to solo a job; so if you want, I'll let you read this over and decide before I approve it.
