It's brand new, it's iLac! [Job | Solo]

It was rather strange. No matter how much he focused, his right arm extended forward, palm opened as if he was trying to grab something inexistant. The voices had stopped. There was nobody there to greet his silent thoughts that time... As much as he attempted to, he would not be able to summon any of his Devil's Arms. Why, though? He had heard, of course, but Vargas was not a man that would believe anything without seeing it for himself. At that day, the white haired male was travelling towards the Neutral Grounds, through a train in which, again, he had managed to slip by unnoticed, until he found an empty wagon, and there he lied, waiting to arrive. Right after entering neutral territory, he could feel his magic vanishing, somehow. It was still there, but... as much as he tried, he was uncapable of making it manifest. What kind of technology would be responsible for such a feat?

-"Hah. Guess I'll be able to have a bit of silence in my head. Every once in a while, it's pretty neat."

Why was he going there? Well, a request he had stumbled upon spoke of a man that was giving a brand new, lacrima powered device, which apparently had nifty functions and could be used like some sort of portable communication gadget. While Vargas was not interested at first, he then realized that it could be quite a good help in order to keep in touch with potential clients and other mages he met during his travellings.

Specifically, he knew that he'd be able to run somewhat of a business with it. He'd just leave his number around, and wait for people to call with job requests while he sought for some of his own... hopefully, there would be an application to make it a bit easier. While pondering about the iLac's capabilities, the train stopped, startling Vargas. With two swift movements, he slid inside his favourite red trench coat once more, lazily getting up and jumping out of the train before any revisor could see him.

Upon exiting the station, the Seig was left dumbfounded for a second, before extending his arms to the sides, as if wanting to embrace the whole world. The streets were bustling, filled with life. The sky above them was clear. All sorts of technological wonders he had never seen before unveiled before him.

-Whohoa! This place rocks! -he exclaimed out-loud, not wanting to contain his excitement.

Quickly enough, he approached the first man he came across and asked him for directions, who was quick to oblige. The man took a small device from his pocket, which Vargas, thanks to his speech, quickly identified as the iLac. That skinny guy had probably been there already, and told him that if he did not hurry, he might end up without one.

Taking his advice, Vargas decided not to wonder, and went in a line as straight as the maze formed by the streets allowed him to. It took him ten minutes of walking at quite an acceptable pace until he reached his destination.

The factory itself wasn't that impressive, but that was because he had no idea what was going on in there. In fact, he went through the visit as quickly as possible, given that he wanted to return working as soon as he could; the first thing he needed to do was save for buying or renting a small house or flat somewhere. Unfortunately, he knew that he'd probably spend everything before saving enough...

After everything was done, he was transferred to the main bureau, where a man in a suit handed him the iLac. It was quite the contrast: Vargas's long, red trench coat, letting the front of his ripped torso be seen, while the rest of the men were dressed in navy or black suits, all formal and tidied up.

-Sweet. I don't have to pay anything for this one, right?

Upon receiving a negative, the white haired Seig was left with a content half-grin, and left the place. As much as he wanted to take a tour around the city, he'd rather be back to Hargeon as soon as possible... there, he'd begin his search for something else to do. Hopefully he'd make a name of himself and attract potential jobs; his brand new iLac would help him do so.
