Nightly tea [Sudo & Mash]

After travelling and visiting a number of small villages, Sudo wanted a nice change. And Rose Garden was the perfect answer for that need. A big city, filled to the brim with magic and magical items. Almost a polar opposite of the Neutral Grounds where she grew up. To Sudo, the Rose Garden seemed like a place where one went to just enjoy their life and be happy. And damn right it was.

She arrived shortly after the evening cloaked the city. Sudo was greeted by a huge crowd of people and bright lights. /"It's almost like day had never stopped. I should've come here, instead of wandering endlessly in forests!"/ The young woman thought amusedly, as she passed an endless number of people. She did find it strange, though, that the Phoenix didn't influence her decision this time. Perhaps something was meant to happen? Only time would tell.

Sudo felt somewhat thirsty from her travel. She was also looking for somewhere to sit down, as a bit of rest wouldn't be that bad for her. As such she started searching for a café or possibly a tea shop. After reading a few signs and following their instructions, Sudo came upon a street just filled with cafés and restaurants. And people, too, of course. She slowly walked from one entrance to another, seeing if she can find a place that would suit her. It didn't take her long to find a tea shop that certainly looked interesting.


"That's quite the name you have there." Sudo would murmur to herself with a smirk, as she pushed the door open. As soon as she stepped in she was met with a variety of heavy aromas. She could see a small staircase leading downwards, suggesting that the tea shop itself was somewhat underground. The apparent owner of the shop greeted her and motioned towards a boot rack. "Hello there! Please take off your shoes, as this is that kind of tea shop!" With a small sigh, Sudo would attempt to take off her quite high shoes.

"Hello there! Please take off your shoes, as this is that kind of tea shop!" Were the first words Mashyuu heard when he stepped into the small tea shop. He rolled his eyes and unzipped and unstrapped his stylish black leather boots, placing them on a small rack and taking a number to retrieve them.

The Earth Wizard rubbed the single arm that wasn't covered by his mothers old greyish brown leather jacket and glanced about the shop. All but one of the tables were taken up by people and just as Mashyuu was about to be escorted to the table by a waitress with long dark blue hair the bell on the door rang and the man at the door said the same thing he had said to Mashyuu just a few moments before. The Slayer glanced over his shoulder and whistled low at the sight before him. A beautiful woman in tall boots. While his heart belonged to Kanix, Mashyuu did love all women and what better way to spend the evening than to enjoy some tea with a hottie?

Casually Mashyuu turned to face the woman and walked up to help her stand while she took off her boots. "Hi there. I'm Mashyuu and you are?" He asked then nodded his head towards the inside of the shop. "It's a packed house today, if you don't mind I'd be happy to share the last table with you." He offered with a friendly smile.

As Sudo was attempting to take off her really tall shoes, she was approached by a stranger. She managed to get one off, as they introduced themselves. Ah, a young-looking male, named Mashyuu. As she straightened her back, he offered to share a table, as there was apparently only one left. "Yeah, sure. Just lemme take off this other troublemaker.." Sudo would agree to his proposal as she tried to take off her other shoe.

Luckily for them, it didn't take her long to take off that other shoe. She then would stuff them inside the boot rack to her side. Taking a quick glance at her feet, she noticed that she was wearing two different socks. /"For real?"/ Sudo facepalmed in her thoughts. Oh well, it's not like she had any chance to change them. So it was probably better if she just went with it. The waitress, who saw that Sudo's shoes are now properly off and stored inside the boot rack, would motion for the duo to follow her. As they made their way to the empty table, the young woman would introduce herself in return, as she had kind of forgotten about it. "The name's Sudo, by the way. Pleasure to meet ya, Mashyuu."

After being seated and left alone for a few moments the woman in front of Mashyuu introduced herself as Sudo. The brown haired Wizard smiled and nodded his head happily. The Wizard looked her over for a few moments for any sign of a guild mark on her body. The last woman he had met was a dark Wizard who tried to seduce him into stealing for her and the one before that got into a bar fight with him...

Clearing his throat as the waitress came over Mashyuu ordered water and a small bowl of rice. Not his favorite meals but he really just stopped by to see what all the hub bub was about with the small tea shop. He had to admit though that the place smelled fantastic.

"So Sudo, I sense some magic from you. I'll just get this out of the way. What guild, if any. Are you with?" Mashyuu asked while his nostrils flared up and took in all the scents in the room.

It seemed that Mashyuu was pleased that Sudo introduced herself. She did notice how he quickly skimmed over her body. It really wasn't that kind of look, but more like as if he was searching for something. /"Hopefully not my wallet!"/ She thought amusedly as Mashyuu ordered some water and a bowl of rice. "Fenix tea, please. Self-served, if I may." Sudo would then order for herself. The waitress would nod and go sort out their order.

As she turned to face her companion, he would note that she holds magical power and most importantly, asked whether or not she was part of a guild. Sudo would blink a few times, surprised by the question. "I'm not associated with any guild. Nor want to be." She would reply to Mashyuu, being completely honest. Guilds really weren't her kind of thing.

Being in a guild wasn't for her? Mashyuu had met a few guildless Wizards in his time but they were far and few between. Still he didn't have a problem with it. The brown haired man ran a hand through his thick brown locks of spiked hair and let out a sigh of relief. "Ah that's cool. The last woman I met in this town was a Dark Wizard who ended up trying to kill me. And the time before that I got in a bar fight with a dark Wizard Guild so now I just feel like I should ask that up front." Mashyuu explained while the waitress came by with both tea and water for the pair.

Smiling in thanks Mashyuu took a sip of water and grinned ear to ear for a moment. Setting the drink down Mashyuu placed his red and black half gloved hands down on the table and thumped his fingers against the wood. His golden ring caught a soft light as his fingers moved but never reflected at the woman poorly. "So what brings you to town?"

When Sudo said that she isn't affiliated with any of the guilds, Mashyuu was obviously relieved. He then explained as to why he had asked her about that in the first place. Apparently he had some unfriendly experiences before with dark mages. Even though they sounded bad, Sudo somewhat wished that she had some stories like that to tell. "Fair enough." She would mumble, as the waitress brought water for Mashyuu and tea for Sudo.

Mashyuu would take a drink of his water and Sudo would get started on her tea. The tea set she was brought even had phoenix patterns on it. /"Went all the way, I see."/ She thought amusedly as she poured hot water into a small porcelain cup with tea leaves in it and put a lid on. After she did that, Mashyuu asked her about why she was in the Rose Garden. Again, honestly, she didn't have any real business here. "I'm just a traveler. I don't have an exact reason as to why I'm here, really." Sudo would reply as she set aside the tea, as she waited for it to be just right. She would then look at Mashyuu with a question of her own. "What about you? Judging by what you just told me, it's not your first time here."

Sudo seemed like a simple enough woman, nothing really to her from what Mashyuu could tell. He shrugged his shoulders and took a swift bite of rice and swallowed. "Yeah, I've been here a few times. I took down a serial killer a few months ago, before that stopped a mad bomber. So from time to time I just stop by to make sure the peace is kept here. It seems like a hot spot for the insane. Usually everything is fine but you can never be to sure." Mashyuu went on to explain.

He examined the woman for a moment while the ring on his finger said something about not asking her any personal questions but Mashyuu pushed the thoughts from his own. "You said you didn't have a guild but I sense Magical power from you. What kind of magic do you actually use? If you don't mind me asking."

Wow, Mashyuu surely had some adventures behind him in this place. Sudo would've loved to hear the whole stories behind these adventures, but she knew it would be a bit too awkward to ask that. At least for the time being. It made her think, though. People having fun and helping others and such... and Sudo? /"All I've done is nothing but wander in forests and caves, trying to understand my new self..."/ There was nothing else she could've done, however. The young woman would nod, as her companion continued.

Mashyuu would ask her about the magic she was using. That was a good question. One, that she definitely wouldn't answer fully. Again, at least for the time being. "My magic is a white fire that will burn everything in its path. Mostly unholy or dark beings." Sudo would reply and quickly add: "So you better not be a practitioner of dark arts, Mashyuu!" She would say amusedly with a smirk on her face and reach for her porcelain cup.

"Oh a Holy Wizard. My Grandmother used holy magic. She was a Rune Knight. But my Grandfather was a Dark Wizard. Funny right?" Mashyuu said off handedly. A warm smile spread over his face while he thought about his new friends next words. "Hate to admit it but I do have the power to summon Dark creatures of Shadow. I don't know if they are evil.... But they are a part of me." Mashyuu admitted.

After a moment he finished his rice and smiled at the woman. "Well Sudo. It was lovely to meet you. If you ever find yourself in need of help, Mashyuu Earth Dragon Slayer, Rising Star and Paragon of Protection at Sabertooth is at your service. So feel free to shoot me a message or come visit." Mashyuu stated while digging into his pocket and pulling out a set of jewels to pay for both of their orders.

Holy wizard... Sudo didn't really feel that way. She was nothing but a vessel for the Phoenix's power. Nothing more, nothing less. Mashyuu would then continue about his family, which sort of felt as a 'bit too much information' to the young woman. But, if her companion was okay with it, she would just stay quiet and nod as she drank her tea. Mashyuu would then reveal that he had shadowy powers. Sudo would just take a mental note of that, but with no ill intentions. Shadows weren't exactly what she was against. If the Phoenix thought otherwise, she didn't know it.

Sudo would drink most of her Fenix tea and Mashyuu would finish his bowl of rice a few moments later. /"Nice and orangey-flowery taste. Would match a fire Phoenix quite well."/ She thought, as her companion spoke up. She now knew what Mashyuu's true magic was and with which guild he was affiliated. An another mental note. He would then place some jewels on the table, enough to pay for both of them. "It was a pleasure to meet you aswell, Mashyuu. There's no need to pay for me, though." As flattered as she was, Sudo could pay the tea for herself. As such, she would place some jewels of her own on the table. She would stand up and head for the boot rack. Before she got too far away, though, she would stop and slightly turn her head back at Mashyuu.

"Maybe one day we'll meet each other again."

And with that, the Emissary was gone.
