Day three of patrols and all was going rather well for the giant. First, helping out that elderly woman with her passport and at the same time that representative, and then after that playing with that group of ten children in East Forest and escorting them all back to the city. To do his duties thoroughly in such a way that he was able to assist others along the way was a pleasurable feeling. This particular morning, Hero started his duties earlier than usual to try and get a head start on rounds. He was almost positive that he was going to be of assistance again today, just like the last two.
On his way out the door, there was a man running toward the station Hero was just exiting. Upon closer speculation, the person was a mailman; he could tell by the distinct way he was dressed, since Magnolia had somewhat of a dress code for local government type occupations. Without hesitation, he turned and walked toward the mailman to meet him halfway expecting that he needed immediate help. Before Yamamoto could speak, the mailman spoke loudly and quickly.
"Good morning, sir! Could you please help me? My mail truck ran out of ethernano and I only have twenty more letters to deliver. If I try and get my vehicle filled up, I won't be able to finish up on time.""Understood. I assume you have the mail to be delivered with you so that I may leave immediately?""Yes, they're all in this bag. All you have to do is throw them on the doorsteps of each address and they are all in order already so you'll have no trouble once you get to the street."The mailman informed Yamamoto of the street name and some general directions to the first home address on that street. From there, I nodded and darted away to the aforementioned area at top speed so that the mailman would not get into trouble. It took a few minutes for him to get to the street, which meant he still had time to find the first house; from there, it was as easy as just going down to the end of the road.
Alright, so the house number is 11348. That means it is an even number... and... even numbers are on the left here, which means I should be looking on this side. Then he realized that there was mail already at these houses, which made his life that much easier. All he had to do then was follow the houses until there was one that did not have mail at its door.
Hero moved as swiftly as possible from house to house until ten minutes later when he came across the first house that had no mail at its door. The giant was lucky that there were no streets that turned off of this one or he would have been hurting for time. Yamamoto luckily managed to navigate his way to the proper address with a little time still to spare; he started throwing the mail evenly to the fronts of each door while jogging along the road. It took about ten minutes, but he managed to get it done in time, and then he headed back to the mailman who, he hoped, was still near the station.
"Thank you so much, sir! This helped a bunch. Now I won't get fired. Here's some Jewel for your trouble. Thank you. Thank you so much again.""You're welcome. Have a good day."I only nodded after him with a relaxed expression. Hero was able to start the day off the right way, which was a great feeling indeed.
