A Fatherly bond [Sol/private]

 Jade was inside the main hall of the guild, leaning on a pillar as she awaited the person that she had invited to come speak with her. Now she only asked to talk to the man sometime so she had no idea when he was going to show up but there were some questions that needed to be answered so she waited and she would wait for as long as it took to hear from him. He had a close relationship with the girls mom and she wondered why he was always by her side and willing to protect her. Although she didn't really see Sol as a father figure at this moment in time she still respected him even though they didn't know each other all that well.

The girl was not from this time line so both Famine and Lance were not her real parents but regardless of that fact Famine still took her in while Jade was desperate... she could have sent her out into the cold snow but she decided that Jade could stay. Her actual father however, left her in the cold with only instructions on who to find but not where to find them. She searched for days and maybe even weeks before she found Famine. Famine was a better parent than her father was.

She leaned on the poll calmly as she waited for her guest to arrive.

 She heard Sols voice and turned around with a smile "Ahh Sol." she had a calm tone when she spoke. She took a step towards him and placed her hands behind her back "Indeed, I did need to talk to you." She spoke now with a sort of innocence to her voice. Her hair was put into two pony tails which hung down on both sides of her body. She wore a dress that had a hole cut open on her chest and a bow where the seams met at the top of her collar. It was a very revealing outfit for a kid her age but it didn't really bother her. Her blue eyes shone in the dim light as she spoke again.

"I assume you have a couple questions for me as I have some for you." she sighed and sat down at a table, motioning for the man to sit as well. "We never really got to speak before so I guess these will be our first impressions of each other." She smiled a bit "And you know what they say, first impressions are everything~" she winked at the man before putting on a more serious tone "Alright you shoot you're questions first." she said with a bit of push in her voice. She closed her eyes and gently tried to channel her ability to feel a persons magic power. Almost instantly she could tell that this man was anything but normal and it made her excited in many different ways.

 The girl looked at Sol with a curious look on her face as he asked his question. Before answering it however she faced the bar tender "I want some apple juice~" she said sweetly with a smile. The bar tender looked at her with a weird face before shrugging and reaching for the juice. Jade let out a big laugh "You thought I was serious?! No... Give me something strong... The strongest you got! We dont follow legal age limits here!" she said with another laugh as the bar tender poured her the drink and gave it to her. She took a sip of it then set the glass down at the bar with a loud exhale. This was the first time in a long time that she had something as strong as that. She could taste its strength.

She turned her body to face Sol her face became serious all of a sudden as she looked at the man. She brought her hand up, palm facing the ceiling. A small ball of shadows burst out from her palm slowly. The shape was almost flame like as she looked down at the shadow then into Sol's eyes "My magic is known as Shadow King Magic." she said with a quiet tone "This magic has been passed down from the Shadow Kings of old, each using their own unique form of it. The first shadow king came about in the days of the dragons!" she was getting excited thinking about how far back her history went "My father, Lance, was the eleventh shadow king." she got a bit gloomy when she said her fathers name "That makes me the twelfth..." she muttered as she slowly put her hand down and sighed before taking another sip. "There I answered the question." she said with a sort of a different look in her eyes now, it was more of a sadness than the excitement and joyfulness she had before.

After drinking half the glass she looked at the man "Alright fair is fair. What magic do you use?" she asked, avoiding the obvious questions about their relationships with certain people that were bound to come up at some point.

Jade watched with amazement at the fact that the man could not get drunk over anything. She never saw anyone like this, hell even she was getting a bit tipsy over that drink she just had. She waved her hand and ordered another of the same kind. She lifted the glass to her mouth and froze when Sol brought up her relations with Master Famine. She sighed into the glass and took a sip, setting the glass down on the bar when she was done. She stared at him for a second with a serious look on her face before nodding "Alright I guess I can trust you." she muttered as she shook her head "I am in fact your master's child but under different circumstances of course." she twiddled her thumbs as she looked at him "I was born in a different world if you would say, where Famine and my father got together... They didn't care about me when I was born because I was weak so I ran away... It didn't go as planned and I got shot into this world..." she hesitated with every statement she said, wincing as she did.

She shook her head, nodding before continuing, telling herself that she had to tell the man what had happened "I found my father from this world and he taught me how to become a mage, taught me magic... he was an abusive father and all he cared about was himself and making the world succumb to Despair. He ended up leaving me on a cold day, telling me to find Famine, my mother. That was the last I saw of him before he left me forever..." she muttered as she glanced at the ground now "As for how I turned up here? I asked around, researched suspicious happenings and in the end I found this place by a chance of pure luck!" she said with a sneer to her tone. "That's why I saw I am Master Famines child..."

She took her glass and downed it, placing it down hard on the table. She exhaled and ordered another one, downing that one too. This went on for a few minuets until her face was flushed. She finally turned to Sol and hiccuped "Al- Alright myyyy turn~" she cooed as she got up and leaned into Sol's face, studying him "What's your relationship with mom? You have feelings for her? Are you her little servant? Right hand man? Huh?" she questioned him, slurring her words as she spoke. Whatever what the answer to this question, Jade probably would not remember it the next day anyway.

When she was pushed, Jade simply allowed herself to be pushed, slumping back into her seat. She took the glass of liquid from Sol's hands and sniffed it. She glanced at him and drank the glass. Once she was done she set the glass down and sighed "Fine..." she muttered as she shook her head and looked at Sol with a curious look on her face. She was truly interested in how Sol felt about her mother. She listened to him with a smile on her face and once he was done speaking she chuckled a bit "I see..." She thought about his answer and nodded with a thumbs up. She wore a giant grin on her face "I now appoint you as my father!" she said with a big grin, not listening to any protest he may have been making.

She smiled at Sol again and nodded "I will do whatever it takes to make sure that she falls for you!" she had a mischievousness and playful look on her face as she thought up a plan.
