Do You Even Lift? [Gamon and Hana's B-Ranked Exam]

Heero waited inside of the Clover Town Gym, a gym famous around Fiore for producing some of the strongest Regular Human, and non mage body builders across the entire world. As the wall was shown, several famous weight lifters and even celebrities were shown training at the gym and posing in pictures, some guys, some girls. Some professional fights even.

The gym was empty, as Heero had rented it out for Fairy Tail for the day. The owner begged him not to destroy it once he'd heard which Guild had rented it out.

There was a large boxing ring inside of the gym, complete with weights of all shapes and sizes.

Heero however, stood in front of two sets of weights that seemed to be impossible to lift; as they made actual dents in the floor just by sitting there. He waited for Hana and Gamon to arrive, he kept his arms crossed and eyes closed, as the entire gyms walls were mirrored.

Today, they would grow strong, today; they would possess the strength of Dragons. He would see to it.

Rose stood next to Heero, swishing her tail with her arms crossed as she also waited behind the weights with him.  

"You'd better hope Gamon doesn't eat this entire Gym....you have to remember Heero, this place is gonna look and smell like a cafeteria to him." she said, winking with a small sparkle from her eye.

"I......hadn't thought of that......" Heero said with a sweatdrop without looking at Rose or uncrossing his arms to remain cool. Today, he would train Hana and Gamon on how to lift giant creatures and slam them.

Behind Heero there were sets of GIANT statues of Iron and Metal, shaped like various types of monsters, some with tentacles some like ogres and beasts.

Behind the gym, there was actually an entire Dragon made of Iron that Heero had flown in from Ca-Elum just for Hana and Gamon's exam. Some people in Clover walking by the Gym on the streets wondered what a giant Dragon statue was doing behind the gym. It was the size of a house itself, and both of them would need to be able to lift it by the end of this exam.

With a great yawn, Hana woke up rubbing the sleepdust her eyes to a gentle breeze flowing past her and a tired Tamka above her. Not having anything to do as the sweet little raccoon had offered to fly her the rest of the way to Clover Town, the small girl had drifted off to a dreamless sleep and had been awakened by the Ginger raccoon yelling in her ear. "Are we there yet?" She asked groggily, blocking her eyes from the light of the sun. "Almost... just a little further and...." Before his wings had dissapeared from his back, Tamka lowered the two to the ground right at the train station. "You excited?" The furry creature would ask, getting an excited responded from the half-asleep silvernette. "Heck yeah!" That day Heero had called both Hana and Gamon in to turn them into B ranks, and Hana couldn't have been happier after working her but off for months. The two companions continued talking as they walked, until they finally arrived at the gym, in which Hana would take a deep breath and put on a warm smile before walking in to reveal both Heero and Rose standing there waiting for them to arrive.

After Heero had contacted both Hana and himself, Gamon was already off to a poor start. He did not take into account of the amount of time it took to travel from Magnolia to Clover. It would've have been at the very least a one day journey by train or a little longer by wagon. Gamon still cures the one dragon slayer weakness. A bad case of motion sickness, keeps most dragon slayers away from transportation. Gamon has resorted to walking all the way to Clover. To be honest Gamon enjoyed walking everywhere. It give him time alone in the great outdoors. Of course he didn't get the peace and quiet as he would like, but it was nice to have a companion with him. Tykva generally talked his ear off during long journeys. This time it was different. Since Gamon didn't leave early enough, Tykva had been flying him as far as she could, and then Gamon would take over and walk or run until she was rested enough to fly again. By the time they got to Clover they were both exhausted and worn out. Gamon only hoped that Heero would go easy on him or at least has a nice meal for him. Touching down in the middle of the town, Gamon and Tykva both fell over on the ground. People just stared at the slayer and exceed laying on the ground, unsure what they should do. Gamon would look up. "Hey, Tyk. Heero said to go to Clover Gym right?" "Yeah" she said tiredly. "Well, somehow we landed right in front of it." Gamon pushed himself off of the ground and scooped up Tykva. They made thier way in to the gym. "Hey, guys. Sorry I'm late."

Heero watched as Hana and Tamka, and then Gamon and Tykva arrived. Nodding to them both, and crossing his arms. Heero would then smile at them both.

"Well, hope you're both ready. Head to the locker rooms and get changed."

Heero would snap his fingers, and in a large blast of smoke he would be wearing a black tank top with a blue star on it and gym shorts, complete with track shoes. Transformation Magic was extremely useful sometimes.

When they were ready, Heero would cross his arms and pat one of the giant statues of an ogre next to him. It was about twenty feet tall, and they all had to look at it. Completely iron.

"This will be intense physical training, the likes of which you've never had. I hope you're prepared. But I'll make proper slayers out of you yet." he said as the ringing of the iron stopped from him tapping the large statue.

"OK, so let's see---we should start with them just trying to push it right?" Rose would comment, patting her paw on her cheek.

Heero would already appear in a lawn chair with sunglasses on sparkling.

"I want you to throw all six of these statues out of the roof." Heero said while taking a sip of his lemonade. "But first, those barbells in front of you...they're meant for bench pressing. But you're going to be curling them. Forty times each. 2000LBs should be about right for wizards of your class right?"

Rose would get a sweatdrop over her head, as even she would struggle with this, and she was almost as strong as Heero. She didn't know he was such a brutal sensei.

"After your arms are loose, we'll get your legs nice and limber. You'll be kicking those statues. Whether you want to use Magic or not is up to you. But your feet will be nice and tough afterward I'd wager." he raised an eyebrow and nodded to the barbells for them to begin.

Hana sweat dropped along with Rose as Heero gave the two their first task. '2,000 pounds... 40 times each... WHY' Hana knew that Heero could be quite a brutal mentor, especially due to past jobs with him (no offense Heero XD) But this was just over the top. It seemed more of a workout rather  than a warm up. Hana double sweat dropped as she breathed a heavy sigh and collected her determination. She took a few steps to the barbells and crouched down steadying herself on her feet to pick the heavy barbells up. Gripping her hands onto the bar in a position which she could pick them up... or try at least... the silvernette hesitated before beginning to lift them up. Hana would quickly find herself struggling to even get them centimeters off the ground. Many minutes later, Hana was able to curl the barbell to her chest, however, smiling in victory, she lost balance and fell forward. Growling, Hana glared at the barbells, deciding that they were now her rival, and now more determined than last time she tried once again to curl the heavy object. Hana's fails and victories would switch on and off until she eventually got it down, causing her to laugh at the barbell's face. She really hated those barbells.

It seemed like Hana was back first, amazing that she beat Gamon in taking the first step. Gamon had been thinking a lot more lately, perhaps he was making a plan in his mind about how to approach this.

Rose would cross her arms and smile at Hana, as she stepped up.

"This is gonna be good...." as Hana lifted it straight up over her head without any problems, Rose would crack up laughing and clap her paws together cheering. But....then Hana tipped forward, in slow-motion and landed with a crash, as the barbell made a comical dent in the ground. "I.....thought she had it...."

Rose would sweatdrop next to Heero as Hana was shown tugging on the barbell repeatedly with no result.

As Hana calmed down, and got her breath together instead of tugging on it, she seemed to find her strength. She was now curling 2000 LBS...the weight of a damn car, like it was nothing. Heero watched her complete her 40 curls and then taunt the barbells.

"Excellent......now, I want you to kick this giant statue at the spot where it's weakest.....I know it's all metal, but look at it's body and figure it out. When you hit the spot....you'll know, cause it'll go flying or blow up. Everything has a weakness, even something much larger than you." Heero would pat pat the giant Iron Statue of an Orge behind him and then move out of the way.

"It may take a few kicks.......and it's made of metal, so try not to hurt your leg or your foot to badly!" Heero would sparkle and salute Hana as he gave her a nod to continue.

Gamon was surprised that Heero didn't yell at him for being so late. He just figured that Heero would just take it out on him doing the training. Training was already going to be hell for him. If he Gamon and Tykva would've left earlier, he wouldn't be so dead tired. If only there was some iron to eat and regain his energy back. Gamon's eyes slowly widened as he made the realization that all of the gym equipment was made out of iron. Being so sleep deprived always leaves Gamon forgetful. Now he just had to sneak a few bits of so of the weights and he will be as good as new. 

Gamon left the locker room in a traditional Japanese Aikido Gi. As he walked over to join Heero and Hana, who were standing next to a high quality iron ogre statue. As he walked, Gamon would grab a small twenty five pound weight. Gamon would nonchalantly start to chomp down on the iron weight. Slowly he started to feel more like himself. Heero finally started to explain what they were going to do for training. "Umm, Heero... You are aware that since I'm the Iron slayer, I can lift more than a slayer at the same rank. Plus since its iron, it would be like me lifting feathers. But if it will please you I shall do it." Gamon stepped up to the barbells. He did a little stretch before he started his set. Gamon grabbed the bar and almost effortlessly he would pump out the forty. Gamon dropped the bar on the ground with a large thud. "Well... Now what sensei?" 

As Gamon entered, Heero watched him stare around the gym like a damn food store. He barely had time to take his eyes off of all the weights and actually acknowledge everyone else in the room.

Heero didn't blame him, he would be the same way on the tour of a power plant. Hell he might leap off the railing into the generators and try to eat the electricity. Laughing out loud, Rose would smack a palm onto her face; since Heero was of no help training Gamon at this very moment.

His laughter would end as Rose stepped forward.

"Don't worry Gamon, we've prepared for you." Rose said as the Exceed walked between Gamon and the other Exceeds and pulled a giant curtain off of a huge pile of bricks and cinder blocks. Not to mention a huge statue of an ogre made completely of stone.

"Ah....yeah, sorry I got carried away with laughter.....we thought of that too Gamon." Heero would smirk at him. "Your goal is to strengthen your kicks now, this may seem like plain training but trust me it'll pay off in the end." Heero told Gamon that he would be able to use Magic. He would then turn to Hana to see how she was doing against the metal statue.

After about ten or fifteen minutes, of them kicking their respective statues. He noticed both of them getting way stronger.

Dents began to appear in Hana's iron orge statue. And chunks of brick began to fly off of Gamon's statue from his kicks. Heero would wait until they were panting and out of breath, and then call for "Enough!" he said, as he walked up inspecting the statues. Putting a hand on spots that Hana and Gamon had damaged.

"Not bad....." Heero then walked to the wall of the gym, and pressed a button. One of the walls. Which was actually a big Garage door used by the track team at Clover Town high; began to open up. Revealing a large track outdoors used for Track & Field.

Heero would nod to them both.

"Push your statues out to the track. Right now. Don't worry, I'll walk with you." Heero grinned as they would begin to push the statues, Hana on her Iron one she'd been kicking. Gamon pushing his brick Orge statue. It was at least 1 mile to the track itself. So they would be sweating their asses off.

"Heero don't you think this is a bit much...." Rose said as she walked, looking concerned as Hana and Gamon pushed the giant bus sized statues. Heero would look rather cold and ignore her, but smile a bit to his Exceed. "I suppose they'll be pretty tough after this......" she watched them pushing the statues as after about twenty minutes they would reach the field.

"Alright......take a break. Sit down indian style with me, and meditate." in the middle of the track; where there was grass the three of them would sit; as the Exceeds would watch on as they sat in a mini circle. "Your magical senses, have also doubled. You should be able to sense things at a much higher rate now.....if you learn to hone your senses."

Heero would look to Hana and smile and then to Gamon.

"Both of you have been taught by me a few times to train with your superhuman slayer hearing, and sight. But tell me a bit about your goals now, before we continue to that kind of training. After that, we'll start blowing shit up with Magic and push you too your limit, don't worry, the fun part is coming."

Little did the 3 Dragon Slayers know, a certain Dragon was already heading directly for Clover Town; fully intending to destroy the town while Shuhei and Zack were missing. Although Natalia and a few others could possibly stop it, the beast waited ...bidded it's time for the two legendary wizards from Blue Pegasus, friends of Heero's and both on Heero's level or close to it to leave town. However, the beast did not know that 3 Fairy Tail wizards were currently training.

Hana's sweatdrops seemed to be continuous as they happened within each task given to her by Heero. She couldn't blame him however as he was training them to be strong B ranks and pushing them past their limits was the best way to do so. Gamon had no problem with the iron, but the silvernette would just snicker as their mentor had come prepared for that, leaving the two at equal struggle. Now that they were even, Hana went on to start kicking the iron statue like she was told. It may have seemed as if she couldn't handle such a task, but she didn't hold back on kicking her hardest. She didn't really see the problem in it anyways, for unlike many others, she was already used to pain and was able to withstand it. As time progressed, Hana would find the strength in her kicks progressing and beginning to leave dents in the statue. It wasn't just one area that she was kicking, but she was going all around the thing kicking in different spots so that she may measure her progress in her training. Once Heero finally gave the order to stop, Hana sighed in relief and faced him looking for what he wanted them to do next. She went unanswered for a bit as Heero inspected the two messed up statues, when he finally opened up the entrance to a track field. This time, they were told to push the statues out to the track. No doubt was Hana gonna end up sweating like a pig, and same replied for Gamon. Hana glared at back at Tamka having heard a slight snicker from him, and she dropped a couple barbells with different weights on them in front of him, leaving him speechless. "Here Tamka, why don't you train too. You are gonna need it." Hana gave him a fake smile as he just stared at her with his jaw dropped. 'She's serious... isn't she?' He asked himself before getting to work himself. Hana felt rather satisfied with herself now, knowing that not only was she working, but so was her companion, and she began the tough journey to the track with the giant statue. No doubt had it been tough as by the end of it she had been panting relentlessly. She sighed out of relief when Heero actually allowed the two dragon slayers to take a break, and she didn't hesitate to do so. They all sat in the middle of the track, and Hana happily obliged to the meditation part, listening closely to Heero. Hana thought of what goals she had in mind, and would humm silently in thought before answering, "Well... my goal is mainly to just become stronger... because I feel that if I can be strong, that I will never fail in protecting or saving those in need, people I am close to especially." Meanwhile, an eerie feeling would bubble up in Hana, as if something bad was bound to happen. She didn't think much of it though as she ignored it and averted her gaze to Gamon, wondering what his goal(s) could be.

As Heero nodded to Hana as she continued to talk; he noticed Rose bust out a picnic basket from nowhere. She waved Tykva and Tamka over to help pass out the sandwiches with bacon, and chips and dip. The raccoon and the other Exceed likely would help her out, and when everyone had their snacks he would nod to Hana.

"Yea, it's a great feeling knowing that if anyone messes with those around you......you have the power to lay the smackdown." he sparkled as he bit into his BLT, leaning back as Rose spread out food in front of them.

"That's one goal every wizard shares, Hana." Heero said, looking up at the blue skies above Clover Town. The track abandoned outside of the gym. Behind Heero, the giant statue of an Iron Dragon sat sparkling in the sunlight behind their picnic. "But what are your goals as a wizard? Maybe one day to become the strongest ice wizard ever....to uncover a hidden kind of Magic? To use Magic to maybe go back and correct something you did in the past?" he then smiled at Gamon nodding to him.

"You've come so far in such a short amount of time Gamon...I'm so amazed....Hana's my apprentice directly, so she receives a lot of training from me that others don't....I expected her to progress this fast...but you."

Rose would smile, remembering some of the adventures she'd been on with Gamon as well.

"He's something else once he gets pissed off huh? He's more handsome when he's nice and calm though..." Rose said passing a bag of chips Gamon's way, throwing them through the air at him stylishly.

For awhile now, they'd just eat, laugh, and talk together. Compare foot sizes, be a family. Heero even commented on Hana's hair being a bit whiter than  Gamons, but Gamon's hair being a bit spikier than his. After about twenty minutes, they would finish up. Heero let out a loud burp, and then sparkled.

"This is also part of our training!" Heero said, as Rose brought out three steaming bowls of Ramen for them, flying into Clover Town and then back out. "The last course will be this onion and cheese Ramen, hope you guys can beat me in a noodle eating contest...." Heero said, twirling his chopsticks SUPER fast, and then clicking them together.

Before they could begin though. Something pierced the skies.

It sounded like a car crash, mixed with a lion's roar. But it was unmistakeable. Especially to the three here.

A Dragon.

Heero's mind, soul, and heart, raced. He hadn't seen one since he accidentally found Grandine in his teenage years, she'd trained him Sky Dragon Slayer magic. Was it her? Was it his Dad?! Zeuslogia?! Or something much...much worse. His final thought was confirmed, as a giant black scaled Dragon, unmistakeable in it's markings. Would swoop through the clouds, it's blue neon markings glowing brightly as it seemed to shift mid-air into a man in a twist of magic.

The man would soar, down, down, downward. Landing, in a swoop of his long silver spiked hair, with markings on his face in a tribal fashion. He wore loose black combat robes, that looked ripped. This was, Acnologia. The Black Dragon himself.

"Ah, Heero. More Dragons for the army then?" Acnologia joked, as he stepped forward. "Be blessed my children, normally a human would never have the dignity of speaking with me, or hearing the voice of a God such as I. But perhaps you will be like this one....many Slayers have risen and fallen in the millenia since I've been around. But only one became able to do what I could.....this one here." he pointed at Heero.

"So the only reason you're not ripping us all to shreds is because I mastered the Dragon Form transformation?" Heero visibly looked shaken, disturbed, and for once. Visibly not his normal confident self. A look that disturbed Rose to no end.

In response, Acnologia would merely nod with his arms crossed. Eyeing Hana and Gamon.

"Both of you will fight against Heero and myself. If I am not pleased, I will kill all of you, including your pets." he said, pointing at Rose, Tamka, and Tykva without even moving or looking at them. "And then, Clover Town."

A shot of Heero, Hana, and Gamon standing across from Acnologia was shown as Heero sighed knowing he didn't have a choice. He would walk over, and stand next to Acnologia.

"Don't fret Heero, it's only training." Acnologia said with a troll like expression. A joke from a God? Heero would grit, and sweatdrop a bit afraid to speak back.

"How can it be just training with a stipulation like that? Are you insane?!" as he said this, Acnologia would raise a hand behind him; and in a huge wave of light; completely destroy the Iron Dragon behind them that was over 1000 ft tall. In a display as to show Heero not to talk back to him. Looking on in awe, Heero would just sweatdrop.

"Now, come at us young Dragon Slayers. Heero do not hold back, if you do, this little game I intend to play is over, and so are all your existences." Acnologia said to him without looking at him as usual, even though he was standing right next to him. "Three Dragon Slayers in one spot...of course I found you, you have to be more careful if you're ever to take me down Heero."

With that, Heero and Acnologia would assume fighting stances next to one another and wait for Hana and Gamon to charge them.

Hana's saphire eye sparkled and happiness overwhelmed her when Heero declared a noodle eating contest. Growing up Hana had learned to eat pretty quickly, and she was excited to see if she could actually beat both him and Gamon which caused Tamka to sweatdrop again. "You know Hana... for a girl you're not very girly..." At that Hana whipped her head to the ginger raccoon and 'tched' calling him "Sexist." and sending him into the sad corner to make a mushroom farm. As the three were about to start their little competition, the loud and familiar roar of a dragon  ripped through the air for all to hear, and it kinda hurt Hana's ears as well as making her slightly jump up in surprise. Since she had been sitting her back face to the source, Hana had to twist around a bit to look at the source in hope that it could be the ice dragon Yuki. However, it wasn't. Instead, it turned out to be something bad. The whole time Acnologia had been speaking, Hana's eyes had been widened. She was surprised at the fact that Heero was quite possibly afraid of this guy, and it scared her too. She was able to feel the hair on the back of her neck stand at Acnologia's very presence, and now he was ordering Heero to fight against the two lower ranking mages. Although she did have questions she had been too afraid to ask and had tried to calm her nerves, tightly clenching her fists to do so and giving a shaky sigh. After doing so and confirming she felt well enough to fight them, she observed the two, immediately knowing that they would be expecting her and Gamon to charge at them first. 'No... that would give them an advantage...' Hana thought, and she got into a fighting stance of her own, hoping that Gamin would understand her thinking and patiently waited for a reaction from them first.
