As her books spilled out onto the ground, her mind seemed to become slightly jumbled itself. The initial thump onto the ground had knocked the book she was reading out of her free hand, and into the pile of books that had spilled out into the street in front of her. it was more frazzling to her to think she would need to relocate the point she was in the book, having forgotten to get a bookmark yet again and even then there was possibly the thought that said bookmark would just have popped out from it too. First and foremost in her head was to try and single out this book before she could find the page from which she was mid way through. Her plan was to just get them out of peoples way, then separate them one-by-one until she had found it, then she could pack up the others and move back on to what she was already planning to do anyway... Which was isolate herself in her room and go on a reading marathon. Nothing unusual for her, but then again nothing about her really was too normal when it came to her habits.
While she continued to scramble around while collecting her thoughts into a calm and orderly fashion, she had found that she was albeit quickly surrounded by strangers. Firstly, the woman she had finally noticed she bumped into wasn't a sny sounded or crude pain in the ass, which made things easier. Maybe that was just cause Madison was still a child in some respect, but it seemed as though the blonde woman was sounding as though things were just as much her fault as it was Madi's. "M-Maybe, but I should know better than to read and walk.. Maybe I should sign up for readers anonymous.. ahaha." She tried to brush it all off as nothing more than a little joke at least. Granted, it wouldn't be such a bad idea in her case, but it wasn't anything she should be worried about really.
Amber orbs shifted to the first of two males that had come to the child's aid when the mess spilled out. He came by to ask if she was alright and his smile seemed to be a little spine tingling to her. Between that and the strange clock or coat he wore that seemed to bleed onto the concrete, she wasn't sure whether he was just some strange pedophile trying to make nice or that he was just... creepy. After all, she didn't really make too much contact so the impression of people making on her were much more different than anyone else's would have been. "Y-Yeah, I'm good now. Thanks though.." She slid just a small bit away from him from the bit of an uncomfortable feeling she got being close to another person.. Especially one that looked a lot older than she was.
As it came to the second male, she had looked back to the blonde and the girl she had been walking with. Being around so many people started to make her feel almost claustrophobic, though she wasn't really someone who got that way through any other means, but just so many people around her when she wasn't used to it wasn't very much a right feeling to her. The second man was much more questioning things about her than he was looking in on her condition. Either he knew everything was ok, or he was more similar to the other one than she thought... Looking over, he had opened up and looked into one of her books, making the child snatch the book with a blinding quick action and pack it away into her bag. "If you must know, I only study on weekends. Otherwise, I just do leisure reading, less you not know what that is..." Her words grew bitter from the assumption that he didn't notice the fact he was looking at a large novel rather than some study book.
She blinked in silence as he went on, watching a small amount of blood drip from his nose from the commotion of the pair of females and their discussion. Apparently, there was something that had caused him to drip blood from it, and allergies couldn't be the cause from the lack of signs from excessive nose blowing, or loads of pollen being reported in the news. Looking up, but now not by much as the blonde would be knelt in front of her, covering her plainly large chest as the sparks connected in her mind. Looking back once more to the albino male, he tried to reach a hand out to help her up, but her mind remained focused on cleaning up the books and keeping her own aside and in hand, ignoring the hand and just whacking him upside the head with it. "You're a perv... And yes, I am a mage. Beyond that is really beyond even my own understanding of an explanation to tell you what it is and how it works."
As she took her stand, she took a rather steep step back from the party of 4 in front and brushed the dirt from her dress and coat with a sigh. "I.. don't do well pressured around people like that... S-Sorry if you got offended." Her cheeks grew a soft faint pink of embarrassment from having to share an insecurity of even that, though it was rather obvious to say the least. "O-Oh, I'm Madison by the way, but you can just call me Madi if you'd prefer. Either is acceptable." She kept her amber eyes averted from the group, rather shy almost from the time of the stumble to even now reflecting in her mind.
