Salutations, if your character is actually a bookworm then Lamia Scale would be a decent guild for you. Even if you don't join LS, I advise against joining a guild solely because your lineage. The guild you join should reflect your character's core values, or storyline circumstance. An example is how my character likes learning, and LS just so happens to have a gargantuan library with seemingly endless books.

Core Values of each guild:
Legal Guilds:
Fairy Tail - PM Heero to find out what their core values are
Blue Pegasus - Being heroic
Sabertooth - Chivalry
Lamia Scale - Learning
Infinity Hydra - Protecting the world from the actions and influence of dark guilds
Black Rose - Bounty Huters
Rune Knights - This isn't a guild, but rather a faction; they're basically a military unit thing...

Neutral Guilds:
Guildless - Just like Rune Knights, this is a faction and not a guild; pretty basic, your character has no guild.
Sleeping Forest - Preserve the balance of Good and Evil, no matter what you have to do
Laughing Coffin - Mercenary Guild
Pharoh's Call - PM "Aiyana" for details on this guild's core values


Dark (evil) guilds:
Savage skull - Do whatever you want, no matter how horrible it is
Basilisk Fang - Destroy this world, and rebirth it in chaos
Grim Heresy - PM "Eris" for information on this guild's core values
Tartarus - PM "King Gil" or "Mistress Venir" for details on this guild's core values
