stolenJewelry
Rank: C
Player Requirements: N/A
Job Requirements: 2000 word minimum per character through entire thread.
Job Location: Hargeon Town
Job Description: My beloved wifes jewelry was misplaced during a vacation to Hargeon town. Please find it for me.
After searching the town for a few posts it is possible to meet a street Urchin who will give you Intel on the whereabouts of said jewelry(roll 1 dice per person per post until you find a street urchin). The street urchin will need a post or two of convincing to give you the information depending on how you go about getting the info.
Follow the advice to meet the boss, a pawnshop owner who is selling stolen goods. You however need to prove he’s selling stolen goods Continue arguing with the boss until you roll a boss in which you can find proof he’s selling stolen goods(roll 2 dice per person per post until a boss dice is rolled). Keep track of how many other dice results you get.
Afterwards a fight ensues and multiple punks and armed punks and even his street urchins will swarm the place in an all out brawl. Defeat the Pawnshop dealer and the low lives will scatter and you complete the mission. How many of each enemy appear are determined by the rolls you made during the argument and what appeared. So if after 3 posts total you rolled 3 weak, 2 strong, and 1 boss dice you will fight 3 punks, two street urchins, and the boss.
Enemies:
Weak:
Punk(D): nobodies not worth mentioning who are slow and uncoordinated. These low lifes have no skill in what they’re doing typically flail their fists around and are pretty easy to deal with. Can’t appear until the boss appears.
Medium:
Armed Punk (D+): Punks with two by fours and metal pipes. Just as uncoordinated but pack a heavier punch then the punks. Can not appear until the boss appears.
Strong:
Street Urchin (C): Low-lives who wander the streets of all cities and are particularly small, these guys are a great source of information if you can get your hands on one and convince them to give you information. Their honestly non-violent and aren’t stupid enough to take on mages but you’ll need to convince one to give you real information if you want to find the jewelry, which, in a city as big as Hargeon, would be a needle in a haystack. Aggravate one though and they may put a knife in your chest.
Boss:
Pawnshop owner (C+): A shop owner who has been knowingly selling stolen goods. He carries a one handed mace as his weapon and is pretty good at using it although not as good as many would believe.
Reward: 15,000 jewels
Azure Gains +15,000 Jewel and gains no EXP (Lineage)
I t was the third night in a row that he was awake in the library. A young girl with gorgeous blonde hair, so long it tapped the back of her knees when she walked was sleeping soundly in his arms as he read books on human fairy tales. It was during this peace that he heard a man screaming at the top of his lungs in the main hall of Lamia Scale's guild hall. Azure, not wanting Destiny to be woken up, picked his daughter up and walked out to the hall where he saw a rather wealthy, and distressed seeming fellow who immediately began hollering to him. "Hold your tongue before you shout. There is a child asleep here scream once more if you wish to have your voice box carved out." Azure's voice was extremely impatient with the man who immediately stopped yelling for fear of the tall man being serious about removing his voice box. "Good, now have a seat." he said in a calmer, less unhappy tone while looking at a white granite table with matching chairs. The wealthy man did as ordered and Azurius rested the small girl down on the chair opposite him before walking across the hall to a bar. Upon returning, a glass of amber liquid was placed in front the wealthy man and Azure sat across him with a glass of his own. A cigar was pulled out from under his black trench coat, already lit and he inhaled a bit of it. A second one was pulled out as the first was held in his mouth, the second offered to the man. "N- no thanks... I don't smoke but thank you again." "Your loss." Azure replied and tucked the cigar back in his coat. "Now, what were you here hollerin' for?" he asked in a friendlier tone. "Well, my wife and I came to this town on vacation and while passing through the markets she seems to have lost it. I fear it may be theft, but I'm not quite sure." "Did you try notifying our city guard?" "Of course I did, it's the reason I'm here. Please good sir, that necklace is a family heirloom worth more than my life. I- I'll pay you handsomely if you find it!" Azurius's eyes narrowed at the mention of money, the fact that it was important enough to offer a prize for finding did have weight in his mind. "Very well, if we manage to find it you'll be notified. For now you should get some rest... I'll find someone to help me investigate." With that said, the man left the guild hall and Azure took his daughter upstairs to put her in bed before coming back to see if there was anyone in the hall that was still awake.WC: 469 Out of 1,000 |
