It was once said in the Foss family that the goddess of light herself, Shaiya, blessed this very violin that has been passed down the line for generations. Though the story has been long faded into nothing but a fairytale, few still believe it.
Once, a long time ago a demon was at large. She wanted nothing more than power, and she would do anything to gain it. As time went on she slaughtered people and even whole towns, eating their souls and became nothing more than a mindless monster who had forgotten her reasoning to do so in the first place. Year after year she slaughtered more and more, getting stronger and stronger. Until one day the monstrous demon came to the little town of Petit. Overcome by her obsession for power she slaughtered many like every other town she had come across. However in this particular town, lived Audrey Foss, a kind hearted violinist. After witnessing her father’s death at the hands of the demon Audrey stood atop of the nearby hill, a safe distance away from the town. Saddened and unable to help as she watched the destruction of her home the woman picked up the violin her father had carved for her and began to play, using her emotions to ease the minds of those who were dying in the town below her, letting them know they were not alone in the dying moments. Though the strangest thing happened when she played her song. The demon who was in the middle of destroying her town, began to roar in pain, shaking her head and hissing. Seeing her discomfort Audrey played louder, putting her whole heart into the song. Eventually, unable to take anymore, the demon collapsed and died, leaving the town half in ruin, but saved. A short while after the demon’s death Shaiya appeared in front of the human, thanking her for killing the beast and saving the world from his wrath. To thank her further, the goddess blessed Audrey's violin to be able to manipulate light and heal all who needed it. After that Audrey traveled all over, helping those who couldn’t help themselves, and went down in history as the Charmer of Light.
As the name implies Charmeur De Lumière, or Charmer of Light, manipulates light by using certain songs played on the violin, like that of a snake charmer. It ‘charms’ the light with the music and based on the song it will do certain things for the player. From manipulating the light for performance use, to using it in battle, Charmeur De Lumière is a magic meant only for those with a pure heart and good intentions.
Strengths:
♫ Very versatile magic full of unique spells.
♫ Doesn't put much strain on the body.
♫ Only limited by how good the player of the violin is.
Weaknesses:
♫ You need the violin in order to use this magic.
♫ The magic is quite old and not much is known about it.
♫ Since not much physical training is required for it, the user themselves are usually weak.
♫ Because of the rules on which the spells must be cast the magic is rather hard to fight with.

Unique Abilities:
♫ Shaiya’s Bénédiction: How strange it is to see an ability that could hurt the user as well as help them. In the event that Astrid has been good, such as being caring and kind, she receives a 25% boost in strength. However if she falls to ill intent or goes down a dark path her strength is reduced by 10%.
♫ Temporaire Armure: This ability allows Astrid to suppress pain, only letting her physically feel half the force from an attack while it deals it’s actual damage. Though after the battle ends the full pain finally kicks in, causing her to feel the full damage dealt.
♫ Revitalisant Ame: Astrid carries a strange revitalizing aura, allowing allies within a 10 meter radius to regain 2% MP and HP split evenly among them depending on how many there are every post. On the other hand if it is used on Astrid herself she regains all 2% MP and HP every post.
♫ Journée Affinité: While a song is playing within ear range of Astrid her speed, reaction time, and senses are increased by 10%.

Light of Luna
Description: Luna goddess of the moon and the hunt favours those who are bold and adventurous. Every 10 years or so, she would descend down from the heavens to bestow a gift to those she deems worthy. Those chosen will receive the gift of light, giving him or her powers to thwart the darkness.
Ability: Those chosen become wardens of the night. Speed and strength are increased significantly at the night. Basic senses are also heightened. And their most potent ability, Blade of the Goddess, a crescent shaped sword that glows like the crescent moon. The sword is made of pure light energy enabling it to cut through almost anything, including the darkness itself.
Usage: Both passive and active abilities only take effect at night.
Passive: Speed and strength increase by 25%. Senses are also greatly heightened.
Active: Once per battle, user has the ability to Summon the Blade of the Goddess. The Blade can cut through all forms of evil magic, offensive or defensive, provided they are equal to the user's current rank, though it caps at S-Rank. The sword last only for 3 posts and goes on cooldown if used to cut through a dark spell. The sword is treated as an artifact weapon for damage.

Description: When this song is played upon the violin a snake made of pure light will appear and latch onto the desired target within a 30 meter radius, wrapping itself around them and begin to crush the enemy, dealing 1.5 D-rank damage. Once it latches on it also causes a 25% speed decrease due to how tightly it binds itself to the opponent.
Can be destroyed with 2 D-rank hits.
Strengths:
♫ Both damages and reduces speed.
♫ Easily controlled.
♫ Restricts the enemy’s movements.
Weaknesses:
♫ Can also damage allies if they’re not careful.
♫ Can be destroyed easily.
♫ Though not always the snake can be dodged.
♫ If Astrid stops playing for whatever reason it disappears.

Description: Playing this song calls upon a massive wave of light 40 feet wide, rushing in at 30mph. Playing the song one way makes the wave attack, crashing down at the target to deal 75% D-rank damage per post if the enemy stays in it. Playing it another way makes the wave turn defensive, rushing around Astrid to protect her from 2 D-rank hits.
Strengths:
♫ Good at long range combat
♫ Used for attack and defense.
Weaknesses:
♫ Astrid can get caught up in the wave if she is not careful.
♫ Allies can be hurt if they don’t dodge.
♫ One of the more harder ones to control due to the amount of light it uses.

Description: The song summons up to 10 life-like clones of Astrid made of light. However the clones can only take one hit of any rank and cannot actually damage foes, making them weak and only good as distractions.
Strengths:
♫ Summoning the full amount of clones allowed is disorienting to the target.
♫ Can be used as a means of buying the user time to escape.
♫ The clones and move and act like real humans.
♫ Clones are easy to control.
Weaknesses:
♫ Cannot actually deal damage.
♫ Clones are easy to destroy.
♫ People who are close to Astrid and higher ranking mages have higher chances of spotting the real her.
♫ If all the clones are destroyed at once the spell automatically goes into cooldown mode.
♫ Clones can confuse allies and friends.

Description: This song allows Astrid to form a large ball of light in the air. Once she lifts the bow from her violin the balls drops, and with a loud bang, causes D-rank damage within a 30 meter radius as it crashes onto the ground, sending drops of light everywhere.
Because of the exploding light it also has a chance to cause temporary blindness or daze the target up to 2 posts.
Strengths:
♫ Can blind or daze the enemy.
♫ Because of the range dodging is hard, but not impossible.
Weaknesses:
♫ Temp blindness/daze can’t affect enemies with no eyes/who cover their eyes.
♫ Can affect Astrid or allies if they aren’t careful.
♫ Astrid is exposed to attacks while forming this spell.

Weaknesses:
♫ Can’t be used to attack.
♫ Broken quickly if the enemy is a higher rank.
♫ Astrid cannot use any other spells while casting this one.

♫ The beam can blast through weak armor.
Weaknesses:
♫ Can only shoot in a straight line.
♫ Capable of hitting allies.
♫ If the beam is deflected it has a chance of hitting Astrid.

Description: When the song is played two light-made shackles grow out from the ground and clasp onto the wrists of the target, causing C-rank damage as it shoots light magic through the person’s body.

♫ Chains can limit the enemy's movement.
Weaknesses:
♫ Cannot grasp a target if the arms are not exposed.
♫ The chains can be sliced with a sharp object.
♫ The chains can be deflected or avoided.

Description: With this song playing a small figure of light is formed. Depending on which way it is played, the figure will do different things. If it is played one way it will move about and attack, sending out spears from it’s body to impale the target. If it’s the other way it will hover around Astrid, blocking 2 c-rank hits. Once it takes the equivilnces of two c-rank hits the puppet will be destroyed.
Strengths:

♫ Spell is very versatile in the ways it can be used.
Weaknesses:
♫ Allies can get hurt if they aren’t careful.
♫ If Astrid stops playing the puppet fades away.
♫ The puppet can only attack one target at a time.
