    "Not on MY watch!"
    0900 hrs...
Twas another day as Anastasia was docked in Clover Town to obtain supplies from a list her father had sent her out to retrieve.  She was to retrieve the items from the docks at 2300 hours tonight.  While it is still relatively early for her to be there, she'd rather have time to screw around and enjoy the town.  It wasn't like she had anything else happening today; no jobs, no leads, nothing to create, and she didn't have anything to pick up other than her job at 11pm tonight.

Headsets were placed over her head while she was laying on her bed, jamming out to something mellow and calm.  She had her hair up in a pony-tail, wearing an undershirt and short shorts.  She bobbed her head from side-to-side while chewing bubblegum.  She acted like your typical teenaged girl before an alarm blared through the hull of the SS Myrmidon.

    RED ALERT
    RED ALERT

This caused Anastasia to jump out of her skin for a moment and fall out of her bed.  The orange and black animal chuckled to itself upon seeing Anastasia's reaction.  "Not funny, Sasha!" she shouted before standing up and looking to the speaking-tube within her room.  "What's going on?  What's the Red Alert about?" she asked the ship only for it to respond.

-/- TERRORIST ATTACK ON CLOVER TOWN -\-
-/- THE MAGIC COUNCIL REQUESTS ASSISTANCES -\-
-/- PREPARING FOR COMBAT MODE -\-

"What?  Combat mode?  Crap!" she said before disrobing and entering into her combat outfit.  After changing her clothes, she put both of her hands behind her head to undo her pony-tail and ran her fingers through her hair.  "You're staying here this time, Sasha.  This is above your head," she stated.

~That's funny.  A guardian being protected by their charge.~ the creature said directly into Anastasia's head.  "Yeah yeah," she said before bolting out the door.  After she made her way out of her room, she shouted out.  "George, open up the cargo door and fly to safety!" she shouted as the cargo door's actuators activated.  "Compliance," responded the ship as the engines began to spool up, kicking up dust from the launch pad.  Afterward, Anastasia ran towards the cargo door and jumped out of it with the ship hovering upwards and closing the cargo door soon-after.  As soon as she noticed the ship flying away, that was when she looked around the town for this new threat.

People are fleeing in a panic, pushing over other people in order to avoid the menace that is plaguing their town.  As Ana watched, she noticed a woman push over another woman and her young child.  Reacting, Anastasia ran over towards the knocked down woman and her child as her child began to cry.  What her songs would do now would be to keep these people calm; unfortunately she no longer used song magic so now she had to deal with people acting like savage animals.  Anastasia positioned herself directly against the flow of the people and bent down to help the woman and child up onto their feet.  "Bless you!  Please, save this town and her people," the woman stated before hefting her crying child onto her shoulders and began to run with the crowd.

"Crap, who exactly is causing this mayhem here?" she asked before hearing a loud explosion.  One of the cafes in town exploded, blowing people nearby away.  Their corpses riddled the streets, causing an even bigger panic.  Gripping her hands into a tight ball, Anastasia walked against the crowd clearing out of the area, bumping shoulders with men, women, and children fearing for their lives from the menace known as The Masked Guild.

The Fire Moth appeared directly beside Anastasia from what appeared to be from absolutely nowhere.  The strange weapon resonated a low tone as it hovered next to Anastasia.  "You ready, Fire Moth?" Anastasia asked before a bright white light surrounded her body before her height changed and the size of the Fire Moth changed ratios to match that of Anastasia's armor.  Gripping her hand into a tight fist, a weapon appeared in both of her hands in the shape of gloves.

"We've got some hunting to do, Fire Moth," she stated over her unit's intercommunication system with a response of bleeps and bloops.  "I hope I get some help with this."

The Masked Guild Empty Re: The Masked Guild

Post by RockyTheRockiestRock 10th April 2016, 4:23 am

A roar of deafening force would rock the area before Anastasia as a shower of earthen chunks rained around the area with booming thuds. A man dressed in the Masked Guild's garb would follow suit, flying past her as if launched by a powerful only to shatter his body onto a large boulder with an equally loud crack that filled the air midst the chaos. Should she come to investigate the source of this, she would find herself looking at a mass of over a dozen men with some looking roughed up while surrounding a singular figure in the center of it all. He stood towering above them with a body that looked like it was carved and shaped from the earth itself.

Minh surged forward towards the closest Masked member, catching him by the leg as he tried to leap away only to bring him back down to the earth with a slam with his whole body crashing into the earth. With not another moment lost, the grabbed man was splattered into the earth once more as Minh immediately throws his arm back, but he was not done as in the two seconds passing, this unfortunate soul was slammed to and fro like a rag doll in such a hasty manner that it was too comical to be taken seriously. When reason returned to the men, they rushed back at him with raised scimitars, and he was hoping for this since they looked like they were not going to give an inch to him. While each of these men were not simple foot-soldiers, they had forgotten an important issue, spacing.

Each man barreling down upon him would realize this too late as some found their swinging arcs closed off by allies closing the distance for ones of their own or to lunge for stabs. This minor stumble was enough for Minh to spring his trap with a mighty stomp that shook the ground almost with a wave as he threw himself into the air. The forcible shaking threw everyone off footing and many allies found their strikes jamming themselves into each other, but this was not all because Minh was coming back to the ground. With a mighty drop back down onto the ground, two unlucky individuals ended up serving as welcoming mats as their whole bodies were crushed underfoot by the large man. The following aftershock continued to leave them without reaction as a flurry of heavy-handed fists bulldozer'd through several of men, pushing them back with no resistance. Retaliating sword swipes clanged and clashed against his stony body, leaving sizeable gashes in his body that slowly knit together again. His eyes would barely turn to Anastasia to acknowledge her before engaging the enemy again with his bare hands, undaunted by that fact and that he was exposed saved for his ragged pants to keep decency.

    "Introducing Taliya"

"Seriously?  You forgot about me?  I swear!" a voice called out before creating a small crater directly in front of Anastasia. The person before her took the "hero pose" as they fell onto the ground upon a knee and looked up to Anastasia with a look of annoyance on her face.  "If I wasn't charged to protect you, I would have devoured you by now," stated the large breasted creature with the extremely fluffy hair and tail.

"Not now, Taliya!  We have company!" Anastasia shouted out before taking a fighting stance in her armor as 15 mages came in their direction.  "Where the hell is my help?  God damn," she exclaimed.  As if on queue, a loud roar could be heard before one of the men were thrown passed her before a terrifying crack could be heard.  It seemed her help had arrived in the form of a moving mountain.  Taliya's eyes lit up for a moment as she approached the large, rock-bodied individual.

"There's no way he can be human.  I bet he doesn't have a difficult time staying har--" she said before she was interrupted by Anastasia.  "Shut up and focus, g'damnit!"  Anastasia stepped forward towards Minh in her large metallic armor. "We'll get to introductions later.  But glad to you have you on the same team," she stated before turning towards the large horde of mages approaching her.  A white glow came over her left shoulder before she shot a single missile towards the large group of people.

Out of the corner of her eyes, she noticed the destruction that was her partner for this job.  What a terrifying sight to behold; seeing a single man bowl over many others as simply as he did.  What terrifying power.  While Anastasia was struck with awe, Taliya ran towards the large group of mages and began to punch and kick several of them in unison.  Her quick and agile movements made it easy for her to punch people in the throats, kick them in the knees, and then quickly move out of the way.  Noticing the missile that Ana sent their way was coming, Taliya began to provoke the men, riling them up for a moment before waving at them in a mocking manner.  Once the missile was close enough, she ran out of the way, blowing a kiss to them.  The missile struck the ground, delivering a burning explosion enveloping all of the men before her.  She had to have taken out, 4 of them?

Scattered, the men slowly began to stand up.  This was Ana's time to strike.  With the Fire Moth in tow, she walked over to some of the fodder and delivered a crushing punch from her large suit of armor, causing one of her foes to fly back towards Minh.  "Watch out!" she called out as the man began accelerating towards the moving mountain.  While she made this call-out, the Fire Moth turned towards Ana's back and blasted one of the other mages in the face with a single blast.

After a moment, Anastasia took a second to recover and gather up with Taliya and the Fire Moth.  "Shouldn't we check up on that hunky, rock-hard, solid guy?" Taliya asked suddenly before Anastasia cleared her throat and looked towards some of the mages that they just fought, but had yet to finish off.  "So I take that as a no?" she asked without Anastasia giving a proper response.

"These people are terrorists, Taliya.  We can't mess around today.  Because if we do, a lot of innocent people are going to die.  I give you permission to go all-out.  We're going to kill every single one of them.  Understood?" she stated before Taliya sighed a bit with a nod.

"Gravity Bomb," was all Anastasia stated before Taliya stopped for a moment and looked at Anastasia with a bewildered face.  Oh, Taliya knows exactly what this meant and it brought a big toothy grin across her face.  "Let's do this!" Taliya shouted before making a large leap towards the group of scattered enemies.  Once she found herself in the middle of the group of recovering mages, Taliya spoke an incantation in a foreign language.  A blue strip of foreign script appeared upon the large bracers she wore upon her forearms, glowing with the same light as the sun before quickly turning to darkness.  With a single slam of her fist into the ground, all of the dark mages within a 50 meter radius began to quickly rush in towards her only to stop within arm's reach.

"Fire, Anastasia!" she shouted before Anastasia altered the mode of her Longinus Missile Pod to go from 6 missiles to 1 large missile.  Lining up the shot, Anastasia let loose the large missile from her pod.  Taliya began to count in her head, watching the large missile rush towards her.  Once Taliya's countdown reached zero, she dropped the gravity spell of her bracer and quickly moved out of the way.  While Taliya was moving out of the way, several screams could be heard as a massive explosion nearly instantly vaporized all 10 men that were gathered up in such a small area.  A Heero-level spell (in appearance alone, anyway) rocked the mages of the Masked Guild, turning those within that radius to absolute dust.

Sliding in besides Anastasia, Taliya turned and nodded to her.  "Holy shit!  That was awesome!" she shouted as Ana's missile pod returned to it's normal configuration.  This concluded the wave after wave of Anastasia's enemies.  She turned to look towards Minh before shouting. "Need any help?!"

The Masked Guild Empty Re: The Masked Guild

Post by RockyTheRockiestRock 18th April 2016, 3:46 am

Minh was already on the attack as he was rushed by the masked insurgent who probably hoped to bowl over this unarmed giant, but the overestimation of his skills would cost him dearly as he ends his charge abruptly with Minh's arm going through the entirety of his chest. Life snuffs out of his eyes quickly as the body drapes off of the now bloody arm as Minh turns his attention over to a few others who had gathered. A flanking mass of more intimidating foes with a similar garb approached as well. He gave some pause to observe these new foes whose presence provided more of a threat than these cowards who crumpled like paper. The flanking party charged in first wielding large bo-staffs as they slammed into Minh with crushing blows, but not a single one stopped him in his tracks as he lashed out with a powerful blow that was blocked. Though, the one blocking was tossed back like a rag doll with his comrades covering him by going all out in an attack on Minh. But, he was deadlier than they could ever imagine as he sidestepped past a flurry of strikes to throw a boxer's right hook straight into the face of one of the supposed elites of this mysterious guild. An elbow strike followed suit to his side, cracking its way into the side of a jaw. and the other arm was thrown into a back-fist to club a third elite over the head fiercely. In mere seconds, he had dispatched two elites with overpowering strength and turned his focus onto the others who had not yet engaged. Those three ran in a hasty retreat while the surviving skilled masked assailants took up stances away from him. His hands moved quickly to grab up the two bo-staffs from the dead bodies to chuck them like javelins, skewering all three men due to one of them punching two men like a shish-kabob. There will be not one survivor.

As Anastasia turned back to ask Minh if he required any help, he was surrounded by a number of much, more regal looking Masked Guild members who were probably the elites of the bunch. There were three of them standing there looking roughed up to hell, with two laying on the ground reduced to mush around the head region from her viewpoint accompanied by some other corpses laying about. One in particular looked like it had a hole punched into it. Presumably the one who accelerated towards Minh at high speed. Either way, he had killed the poor bastard with his bare hands, and his attention was still upon the remaining three survivors as the woman called out to him. "Not really, take care of the others." He would say to her before his attention was returned back to the three mages who took the short pause to form a wall of large floating rocks before slinging them like a barrage of arrows. Minh would be enveloped in a hail of giant earthen pillars with each slamming into him and the area surrounding the rocky man, forming a massive cloud of debris. As the seconds pass with the cloud settling, the very same projectiles jutting into him were sent back with renewed fury as the three mages who stood against him were gnashed and sundered by the retaliating counteroffensive. Each thrown attack happened so quickly that each of these masked bastard had but mere milliseconds to register what was happening before they were being riddled with holes by their own attacks. One of the three managed to survive, somehow, limping away in retreat apparently, but his progress would take him nowhere as a sudden surge of pure kinetic force just splatters his torso which throws his limbs and head in a scattering motion. Those seeing this would notice Minh's hand returning to a lax position by his side. It seems that he did not solely depend with his bare hands all the time.

    "Rocks and Missiles
    Oh!  And a hostage situation"

Ana stood for a moment and watched Minh just clobber people to tiny bits.  The air shivered for a moment as she felt Taliya, who stood far too close to her, shaking and giggling at Minh's display of strength.  She shook her rear a bit, as if to act like a teenaged girl seeing one of their favorite idols.  "Oh my!  He's so strong!" she stated with hearts in her eyes.  This caused Anastasia to roll her eyes before Minh responded with his answer.  It seemed he was strong enough to handle himself in this situation.  Bloodied fists were all one needed to punish these terrorists for their misdeeds.

Anastasia heard that her partner in this job was from a legal guild, but the fact that this man was just as fine with killing the bad guys as she was made her rethink the idea of legal guilds.  While it was a better alternative to simply kill the terrorists instead of incapacitating them and bringing them into justice.  Her contemplation came to a swift and abrupt end when the sound of screams could be heard coming from one of the buildings.  A large boulder of an impossible size appeared within a corner store.  Another large boulder could be seen forming just above Anastasia and Taliya.  "Crap!  Scatter!" she shouted before Anastasia took Taliya into her arms and performed a dash out of the way.  As soon as the two moved out of the way, the massive boulder fell down with enough force to crack the ground below where they were; forming a relatively large crater.

Upon recovering from the dash, Anastasia found her robotic hands just below Taliya's breasts, pinning her arms down with her large mammories flopping around just above the cold steel of the Aero-Guardian Armor's hand.  A little moan came from Taliya for a moment before Anastasia set her down as if holding a hot coal.  Taliya flipped and landed on her feet.  Standing up, she put her hands on her breasts with a sour face, as if Ana grabbed her so tight that it caused pain.  "Damn, Ana!  Couldn't squeeze me any tighter?" Taliya stated.

"A 'thank you' would have been nice!" she shouted in response to Taliya's comment.  Coming from out of the woodwork was a single mage holding a bostaff with two other mages, who appear to be weaker in comparison, holding a man and a child respectively.  This caused Anastasia to take up a ready position.

"They've got hostages.  We need to pro-" Anastasia began to speak before Taliya shouted, interrupting her train of thought.

"Screw that!  We should go crush those guys!" Taliya shouted before leaping forward only for Ana to grab Taliya by the waist again and set her down on the ground gently.  "Think for a moment, Taliya!  If we engage them right now, they will kill the civilians.  They don't deserve to die like these scum-bags do.  This is a gentle situation," she stated before Taliya sucked air in between her teeth.

"If you want these people to live!  You and that Geodude need to throw down your weapons and leave.  This has nothing to do with you," the one in-charge shouted out.  Terrorists making demands now huh?  Well, Anastasia doesn't want these people to die and the fact that they had multiple hostages made this extremely difficult to deal with.  Her only fear is the rock man wouldn't comply and forfeit the lives of the hostages for the sake of completing the mission.  That isn't her belief.  You can't crack a few eggs to make an omelet.  Not when innocent lives are at risk.

Sucking air between her teeth, Anastasia is enveloped in pure white light before finding herself completely unarmed from all weapons and armor.  Turning to look towards Ana with a look of disbelief, she grumbled and allowed her gauntlets to fall on the ground with a massive thud that almost sounded like a nuclear explosion; it was created with the core of a star in each gauntlet after all.  One thing, however, is that The Fire Moth wasn't around.  Moving away from the large boulder had separated it from Anastasia.

"I've got a plan," she whispered to Taliya.

"Oh?  What's that?" Taliya whispered back.

    "The Fire Moth," Anastasia replied.

Looking around subtly, Taliya also noticed the Fire Moth being nowhere to be seen.  "I see.  So you're going to take the first shot and want me to jump in afterward against the other person?"

"You know me too well," she stated without changing her expression.

"Good!  Now that you bozos have thrown down your weapons, now you can leave.  Leave your weapons here as well.  We want them," the man shouted before Anastasia and Taliya took a step backwards.  Now a lot of this will involve Minh's cooperation.

Post by RockyTheRockiestRock 24th April 2016, 5:35 pm

Minh watched as the two allies of his suddenly take flight away as a rain of massive boulders rained down upon the ground about them save for his position. The two of them had taken off for cover away from the barrage of earth before he turned his head to see the same thing that they have where three surviving mages with a few stragglers elsewhere. However, these three had two hostages, a man and child where brought forth surrounded by the two weaker looking mages while the one seemingly in charge currently spoke out with a demand of surrender. Minh's raised fists stopped for a moment as he considered the situation, no matter what speed he could move, the earth mage had the advantage over him in all angles of attacks, and this meant that to dive in was to throw two innocent souls into the afterlife. Such a trade was not in favor of Minh, and this was not a situation of any dire nature that would call for him to do so. A quivering laugh fills his head as he ponders this thought before his scowl grows with it, and an internal shout keeps the voice silent. He was not about to do anything stupid in this case given that he was lacking any possibility of overrunning them without any unnecessary causalities. However, he did have one trump card up his sleeve that had not revealed itself just yet. As he raised his arms in mock surrender before extending both forward while flipping the bird at the three of them. All three mages looked at him angrily before a series of three impacts sent them all flying backwards away from the child and man. A loud flurry of cheeps echo through the area before a sudden cloud of smoke fill the space in between the mages and the hostages only to disperse to reveal a 40-foot giant primal, partially feathered beast. Minh followed this up quickly by rushing after Cheepie and standing in front of the two as well, using his body like a living body shield.

    "GET THEM, LET NONE SURVIVE"

This order was followed by a guttural screech that rocks the ground before Cheepie dashes off with unnatural speed for his size, overrunning the fallen mages as they slowly got up from being knocked down. Sweeping tall and clawed feet slashed and knocked them around. If anyone was to really examine Cheeptor's back, they would spot the really tiny turret, but at this point, it was unlikely for anyone to really take note given the circumstances. Minh leads the two innocents away from the area to the others who were basically refugees at this point thanks to this grand assault from the Masked Guild.

As Anastasia and Taliya were standing, ready to surrender, Anastasia had a plot brewing involving The Fire Moth.  The weapon was creeping around behind buildings just outside of the rogue mages' view.  What she intended was to have the weapon sneak behind them and take a pot shot while hoping someone would take out the other mage and fight the remaining Golden Mask in a battle of epic proportions.  But nope!  Anastasia and Taliya stared on, dumbfounded, at what was transpiring before them.  The giant rock-man hurled a bird that became a much bigger bird that just tore through the enemy ranks.  Ana and Taliya lowered their hands and simply watched the creature's carnage, tearing through one of the more powerful mages in the terrorist group.

The two remained speechless, not knowing what to say.  They turned towards each other for a moment before The Fire Moth returned to Ana's side.  If a machine was able to feel confusion and befuddled, this would possibly be the first time.  As it was about to strike, a large feathered Canary/Raptor came and destroyed everything in it's path.  This caused Anastasia to wonder something.  She pointed at Minh for a moment.  "Hey, you aren't a bad guy are you?" she asked with a rather blank expression on her face.  A tumbleweed went by as the two of them saw women and children begin to flock towards Minh, applauding him for being their hero.  Another tumbleweed blew passed, leaving nobody near them.

However, now wasn't the time to play games and have fun; the terrorist group known as the Masked Guild was still floating around.  However, due to their strongest group of mages gone, they seemed to be splintering and withdrawing.  "Oh hell no!" Anastasia shouted out before she attempted to run towards the men, only to fall forward and began to huff and puff, already out of breath.  Yeah, she didn't go very far without her stamina already kicking in to kick her ass.  "Err!  Fine!" she shouted out before her body is enveloped in a white light, placing her within a strange purple armor just a bit taller than what she is now.  She was capable of following the fleeing terrorists without being hindered by the terrain and eventually delivered a crushing flying side kick into one of the mages.

"We're not going to let that mountain take all the glory, aren't we, Taliya?" Anastasia asked as Taliya responded with "Hell no!" as the two grabbed one of the weaker mages each and spun around and let go of their respective mage until they went splat against one another.

The weaker mages that resided fell back and began to plead.  "What the hell!  Who are you people?" the man asked before Anastasia began to gloat, placing a foot upon the two thrown mages that seemed to create a pile upon one another.  "I am, Ana--" she said before two spears appeared inside of her armor from out of nowhere.  Taliya merely smashed the wood of the spears, breaking them before delivering a crushing blow to their faces with her fists.  Afterward, Taliya knelt down to Anastasia to see if she was alright.

"Don't worry, don't worry.  I'm still fine," she said with a thumbs up.  She cleared her throat and stepped onto the mound from earlier.  "As I said before.  I am Anastasia Isayev!" she said.  However, her previous audience had already gone unconscious.  "Sunovabitch!" she shouted and stamped her foot upon the mound of two unconscious initiates.

"I think people know more about your pirating than your maging," Taliya said quietly.

    "I know!  And that's bullshit!"

The Masked Guild Empty Re: The Masked Guild

Post by RockyTheRockiestRock 12th May 2016, 7:25 pm

Cheepie quickly poofed back into being a tiny little bird which drew even more attention from the whole crowd, and this allowed Minh to slip past most of the people who gathered around the flapping, dancing creature who cheeped quite loudly to gather their focus. The huge man slipped by with only a few children following him, poking the earthen man with sticks and finger only to jump back each time in heightened caution at the surprising resemblance it had to actual flesh. He would turn around to wave at them and give a simple hello to which their response was a sudden rush away back towards the crowd possibly out of shock. Minh would not be surprised really, if it wasn't for his red earthen coloration, one could easily see the dried blood all over his arms from his brutal attack upon the Masked Guild's fighters. He was not a merciful man towards those with sinister intentions and if such persons desired to throw innocent souls into the carnage, their very existence is forfeit.

Luckily, no other problem arose save for how he was going to get people to leave Cheepie alone after all of this was over, and he made his way over to the two other warriors who fought alongside him. He would bow before Taliya with a serious expression, towering over her quite a bit before turning his head towards the armored being and the smaller, floating entity by it. He would knock on the armor loudly with what would be loud, denting thunks to catch the attention of whoever was inside of the armor.

"If you can hear me, I suggest we move out after them all and find their location. I would like to snuff out these bastards from their nest once and more all to impend their return. If we are lucky, we will be able to find ourselves taking down their leader as well in the area."

Minh would take a step back to begin walking off in the general direction of where the bastards went, but he stopped in his tracks before turning back to them all. His intense gaze had lessen some but was still quite present though not focused on any of them particularly. Though, he was still male and the companion that accompanied the armored warrior made it very hard to pay no mind to her rather exposed figure. Most likely a distraction to appeal to the eyes, which should prove quite effective against most of the men in this region of the world as many seemed to be powerful fighters with libidos of teenagers barely coming of age of men.

"Forgive my haste, my name is Minh, might I have yours to have to remember you all by. My companion back over there is named Cheepie. He is a special individual of his kind."

    "Rock Type meets
    Steel and Fire Type!"

As Anastasia stepped on her foes, she hears a knocking on her armor.  She turned her head to see a blush wash over Taliya's face, seeing her cover her face before hiding behind the armored Anastasia.  She turned her head towards Minh only to look directly at the man's chest.  If she was to look at the man and see only his chest with the Chaser Armor on, which isn't nearly as tall as most of her more powerful armors, this man must be HUGE!  This armor stands at 2.5 meters, and she still had to look up to gaze upon the rocky features of the man's face.  She turned her head upwards and took a step back, giving herself a bit more space.

"Ask him, Ana," Taliya asked quietly as she takes a couple glances over Anastasia's shoulder towards Minh.

"Ask him what?" she said as she turned her head over her shoulder for a moment before she got a nudge from Taliya.  "Ya know.  Ask him if 'that' is also hard as a rock," she asked quietly before turning around and delivering a crushing punch to the top of Taliya's skull, forcing her to faceplant into the ground.  "You pervert!  I'm not going to ask him that!" she said before turning back around towards Minh and moved her hands up to her helmet and lifted up, revealing her face to the rocky man.

"Yeah yeah, we'll eradicate all of them.  Though, I'd rather we get everyone that's in the area to safety.  I can expect some more tougher opponents ahead of us.  With their in-your-face attitudes, they'll be flushing people out," she stated before a wave of people started to pour from the town square.  A little sigh came over her before she placed the helmet back upon her head.  People began to run through the square in a panic, enveloping all three of them, running around them knowing full well that the three before them are mages and have the capacity to turn sour and destroy them. It's just best to not trample the people that are there to save you.

"Alright, Minh.  My name is Anastasia and the shy one is named Taliya," she said before her eyes turned towards Cheepie.  Normally she would be squee-ing from how adorable the creature is, but right now just wasn't the time to bask in the adorability that is the little birdy.  But then again, be in complete and utter horror as it turned into a large reptile; a terrifying ancient predator.

Another explosion was heard in the distance as a man wearing golden armor came out from the explosion with a large collection of troops at his disposal.  Anastasia's heart pumped.  Fear began to grab hold of her again causing her to take a couple steps back.  She closed her eyes tightly shut before whispering to herself.  "Don't let fear get you, Ana.  Don't let it happen again," she said quietly to herself.  The heartrate display shown on her heads up display showed her heart beating at 170 beats per minute.

"Eyes dilated and there is heavy perspiration," said her on-board computer inside of her armor.

"Yeah, I know.  I'm afraid. Shut up," she said to the computer before taking a step back once more.  Her previously confident demeanor was quickly replaced with her being devoured by fear.  She was perfectly fine until her job with Almyra where she had lost her hand.  Perhaps her fear stems from people close to her getting seriously injured due to her inability to do anything; her helplessness.  However, her fear is extremely counter-productive as if she's too afraid, she won't be able to help the people, which will lead them to getting hurt.  Even while knowing this, Anastasia still couldn't help but being taken by fear all-the-same.

"Snap out of it Anastasia," Taliya said before delivering a slap to the back of Anastasia's head before running off into the fray.  This caused Anastasia to stumble forward a bit and think to herself.  "Y-y-yeah.  You're... r-right," she stuttered out before clearing her throat and looking towards Minh.  "We got some terrorists to smash.  The gold one seems to be their leader," she said before the wave of Masked Initiates and Golden Apprentices began their approach.  At this time, thankfully, everyone had evacuated that part of the city.

A white light surrounded Anastasia before she appeared out of her armor and then another flash of light appeared on her body and around her.  Where she was now resides 3 of the same item.  It appears to be three of the floating weapon that Anastasia had floating around her.   The three direct clones began to fly off towards the crowd in the shape of a triple helix before arriving at the large group of enemies.  Each of the three clones shot a beam of pure plasma at her target, with Taliya ducking under several of the strikes before landing a single strike towards the one of the initiates.

Anastasia gripped the flight controls of the armor as she turned to look through her screen, showing a close-up of the enemy.  Something about this man felt off.  She had seen this kind of armor before.  After a brief moment, she gritted her teeth.  "Titan Heavy Industries!" she shouted.  Her voice couldn't be heard through her armor due to not having keyed her microphone.  She decided to open up a communications channel with the man in the gold armor.

"Titan Heavy Industries: 5X-131 Emperor Armor. Why are you doing this?" she asked.  The channel, however, was only audible between Anastasia and the man in the armor.

"Interesting, you know about the Emperor Armor.  Anyway, someone like you wouldn't understand why we are doing this," the man said before the communication line was lost.  Growling, Anastasia turned her armor towards the rest of the terrorists and focused her weapons towards the initiates, quickly frying a few.  During this, the main Fire Moth began to shake, causing a strange pulse to be emitted.  Anastasia, Taliya, the mass-produced Fire Moth, Minh, and Cheepie could feel their health slowly regenerate along with their strength surpassing normal boundaries.

"I'm going to make you my slave," she simply stated, directing her words towards the man in the golden armor.

The Masked Guild Empty Re: The Masked Guild

Post by RockyTheRockiestRock 29th May 2016, 3:25 am

Minh was about to request that they move now if they were to find their foes who was a moment ago making a fast retreat away when a sudden explosion rocked the scene behind him. Of course, fate was not going to make it easy for Minh on this particular day, and all he was most glad for was the fact that most if not all of the villagers had made their leave of the area at the very least. Given the objectives of these guild members, they were not here to be doing any mass killings, and instead, these men and women seem to be harboring some intention of getting their hands on the archives as those would hold some deep secrets of the Sabertooth guild. Minh was not really keen on the idea of letting these kinda people get their hands on such knowledge. However, he was not keen on the idea of having to cut his way through them like wheat as some of these terrorists had better hearts than others who would deserve a second chance while others were better off dead than counting on conscience to push them onto a better path. Given the circumstances, he was going to have to shed much blood on this day.

The armored female had taken a sudden moment of silence upon having the golden man take his entrance into this conflict. Whatever the two of them were in relation was unknown, but Minh can take a silent guess that it was something person. Whatever the case, he was a major threat compared to the rest of the guild members who were now swarming about towards them all. If his armor was akin to his ally's, then all hell could break loose, but he decided that his focus should be on the smaller enemies to prevent any of them slipping by and getting their hands on those archives. He let out a short cry and Cheepie took off from his seat on the stump into the air to dive downwards letting fly a series of shots that splattered three unfortunate initiates before smashing himself into an apprentice, sending her flying back with a shattered rib or two as she smashed into the stonework with a crash. The bird took off towards a pack of foes to engage with them next.

Minh, on the other hand, proceeded to pick up and throw large boulders and debris that were laying about with an almost childish ease and pinpoint accuracy. One by one, each of these projectiles find themselves slamming into the massed bunch of Masked Members, injuring most that were hit if not outright knocking them out from the sheer force of the hit. Others missed their mark but did enough by scattering the enemy about to be picked off easier. Several of these projectiles headed for the Golden Man, seeking to incapacitate him if at all possible without having to be forced into direct, brutal melee. And with an unknown foe in a suit like that, he did not like taking his chances too much even though he was no light hitter himself. With each throw, Minh moved further ahead, hoping by the time inevitable melee ensues, he would have thinned out the crowd of em.

This is the fight that never ends.
Yes, it goes on and on my friend

The earth began to shake and move as Minh lifted up parts of the earth to chuck at foes.  That's one Geodude that Anastasia wouldn't want to mess with.  The swarm of minions continued to assault the group, making her advance towards the big-bad even more difficult.  Sucking air between her teeth, Ana turned to look towards Taliya for a moment before she nodded her head.  Slapping her fists together, Taliya jumped into the middle of the area and slammed both of her hands down into the ground.  Glowing runes shined upon her gauntlets before a blackhole appeared once again.  The minions lost their grip upon the ground causing them to fall in to the event horizon of the black hole.

As the mages started to fall into the black hole, Taliya delivered crushing punches and kicks to the mages as they came in towards her.  The weapon punched through all armor of the mages, delivering a loud, resonating boom throughout the area with each punch sounding like a miniature explosion.  Then again, her gauntlets are made from a core of a dead star, causing them to be extremely, extremely dense in the first place.  As the minions got sucked in, the man in the golden armor resisted the pull of the black hole only to simply observe what was going on.

A smirk came across the man's face as he saw his minions fly into the center of the collapsed star and being pummeled to a pulp.  These mages meant nothing to him as long as his objective was completed.  "I grow weary of waiting around for all of you," the man said out loud, allowing everyone to hear him through the pressure of the black hole and the loud explosions coming from Taliya's fists.

With those words spoken, the man started to fly off.  "Oh hell no!" Anastasia said as the three moving parts began to fly towards the armored man like a triple helix, each shooting a beam of pure plasma towards the man with two of the beams (the only real beams) hitting the man in the back, stopping his advance.  This caused him to turn around and hold out a hand before sending a large pulse beam towards Ana.  Her main armor was hit by the death beam, causing Anastasia to quickly heal her armor with the nano-machines hidden within her armor.

"What the hell?" she said as the trio rolled out of the way.  The death beam was headed towards Taliya!  Seeing this beam, Taliya quickly moved out of the way only for the people gathered around her to get completely obliterated by the leader's beam.  Recovering from the movement, Taliya looked on with a dropped jaw.  "What the hell was that!  I haven't seen that kind of power before!"

The man in the golden armor tilted his head a bit.  "You don't understand the reasons behind what I am doing.  Move out of the way, pitiful creatures and witness history change for the better," the man stated.  Hovering around, outside of the man's death beam's distance, Anastasia shouted at the man.  "Killing people indiscriminately isn't justified!  If you have issues with the guild, deal with the guild, itself!  Leave innocent people out of this!" Anastasia shouted, with Minh and Cheepie being able to hear the whole thing.

"Don't make me laugh," the man said before holding his other hand out before charging for another one of his death beams.  Ana's eyes opened wide.  "No cooldown?" she asked herself before scattering herself, her weapon, and her requip variant.

The Masked Guild Empty Re: The Masked Guild

Post by RockyTheRockiestRock 25th June 2016, 5:02 am

Minh was too busy chucking more rubble at the enemy to notice the developments building with the golden, armored man as he believed the other had this in the bag, and Cheepie was putting his focus into overrunning the enemy with his precise cannon shots that sent men flying or crumpling into the ground. Their focus was primarily and solely on eliminating and thinning the enemy ranks before turning their attention to the main boss of the pack as Anastasia and her companion seemed enough for him and his closest cohorts. However, the sudden screams of the villagers did pull his inhuman concentration away just in time to see them getting obliterated by the death beam used by the armored man. It tore through the earth leaving molten earth in its wake, and seemed to be charging again. At the very same moment, Minh heard the woman scream out something as if wanting to convey a message to him. If he was correct in interpreting it, she wanted him to catch the man's attention and draw him away from the villagers.

"YOU SEEK SABERTOOTH, THEN FACE ONE OF ITS FINEST!" Minh roared out rather suddenly, breaking his character almost as he picks up a large sharpened chunk of a log before throwing it forward like one would with a javelin. Then he picks up speed, thundering along the ground forward at the man as his weapon charges up once more. Cheepie would swoop down laying down a barrage of fire upon the armored suit to see if it would break from the focused power of the bird's tiny cannons. The avian artillery gunner aimed for the joints and head area of the armored man while Minh focused on just getting full treatment from this foe's dangerous attack potential. At the very least, he could take the brunt of it and force the usage of resources onto himself rather than the more squishy villagers. When Minh would come within range of the man, he'd do a herculean leap into the air seeking to smash himself right into his target's body using himself as a human projectile.

And like a meteor, the moving mountain jumped up into the air and came down, smashing into the armored man, leaving him flat on the ground in whatever crater than Minh placed him in due to the force, mass, and acceleration of the landing.  The man's armor appeared to peal away for a brief moment before a bright white light enveloped the man's body to expose his actual self.  The man seemed to be in his 40's with a gentle dusting of scruff upon his face.  Someone like this man hated Sabertooth so much that he wanted to destroy it?  Seeing the man in his vulnerable position, another white light enveloped around Anastasia, dismissing her armor and her summoned weapon, leaving her with just her main weapon and Taliya by her side.

Anastasia landed softly on the ground before approaching the unconscious man with a look of disdain in her eyes.  It wasn't her saddened by the damage caused to the hometown of Sabertooth; she couldn't really care much about a guild of mages that could protect themselves.  No.  All of the people that were lost due to this man's insanity and his unknown hatred were what caused Ana to grow pitiless for this man.

"Someone as disgusting as you shouldn't be brought in.  No, someone like you is better off dead," she mentioned before pointing her finger towards the man, focusing the Fire Moth's nozzle to point in the direction of the man's head.  Upon her queue to fire, there was a bright white light that enveloped the man before another shield of armor surrounded the man.  The bright white light continued to grow larger and larger by the moment to a height of 60 feet.  Once the light vanished, a giant white armor appeared with a long red cape with a massive sword in it's hand appeared.

Anastasia was pulled back by Taliya upon the emergence of this monstrosity.  "What the hell is that Ana?  I've never seen that armor before!" Taliya mentioned before her eyes turned to look towards the Rock and the canon-wielding bird/raptor.

"I don't know.  This armor isn't registered anywhere.  I've never seen this thing before.  It's not even a Bosco design," she said looking on at the massive armor in absolute dread.  The armor leaned back and released a massive roar from it's throat, shooting out a massive shockwave as the red cape turned into a set of four massive wings that flapped continuously, throwing wind and dust everywhere.  With a single magic rune, the massive blade that the armor wore split into two smaller blades, prompting everything to turn completely gold.

The massive armor lifted itself off of the ground and looked towards Anastasia and Minh.  "Do you really think that something like that would destroy me or my armor?  Have none of you witnessed someone you love perish?  Have any of you felt that pain?  I know none of you have as you mages lead the most perfect lives filled with happiness and adventure.  I had to watch as you Sabertooth mages killed my family!" he said recollecting a traumatic event in the past.  Seems like there would be a flashback, but not in this post.

Anastasia simply turned to look towards Taliya.  "I need you to keep him busy so I can regain my strength," she said as her ability to cast spells are some-what dampened by how many spells she had used.  "Right, I'll do something for ya.  Give me control of the Fire Moth," she said as Anastasia nodded her head, ordering the Fire Moth to follow the commands of Taliya for the time being.

"Hey!  Sorry that happened to you!" Taliya shouted to the behemoth-like armor.  "But me and Miss Petanko here aren't Sabertooth mages!" she shouted at the large dragon armor standing before them.  "And cool armor!  Where'd you get it?"

The Masked Guild Empty Re: The Masked Guild

Post by Dubhlainn 21st July 2016, 8:48 am

Tick, Tock, Tick, Tock, Tick, Tock, Tick Tock.
    Tong! Tong! Tong!

A dark room, a fitting opening for someone who’s affiliated to a dark guild, you wouldn’t see anything but one beam of light shining down from the vents that reveals a clock, a table with a radio, and an old war dog sitting on a stool with his head down, almost as he fell asleep.

    That’s because he is.
Tick tock, the sound of the clock repeats in cycles such as the course of everyday life.
The world is alive, that’s why these cycles exist.

After recovering his stolen possession, he sat idly in the room, waiting for what news should come.
It’s been almost an entire day since then and he’s waiting for more news about the people responsible for trying to steal his hardware. They found out that there was a massive organization that wanted it for their plans but that’s all they could get out from one of the surviving plunderers.

And now he waits for his co-worker, Natalia Kaminski, a mercenary who befriended Dubhlainn, to contact him.

At such time the radio started to emit static, it has finally received a signal but not from Natalia but from Degardo.

Degardo is a powerful politician in the neutral grounds and owns his own crime family; he hired Dubhlainn knowing that he’s a dark mage.  He tasked Dubhlainn of collecting loans from stubborn clients and because of Dubhlainn’s work, Dubhlainn became famous, earning the title the Hungry Berserker, for that if no one pays up or had a negative attitude towards Dubhlainn, its expected that they would either end up in the hospital due to the fact that they could be bashed into a wall, through the wall, sent flying or simply just crushed by the angry Dubhlainn.

“Dubhlainn, I got some work for you, it seems the clients are starting to get a bit comfortable knowing you are gone, if you have time feel free to drop to the Neutral Grounds, let them know you’re still there.”

And thus radio silence voids the atmosphere of the dark room once again.

Tick, tock, tick, tock, tick, tock.

Only the sound of the clock can be heard in this dark room, the sun was about to set and Dubhlainn remained asleep. Even if Dubhlainn wasn’t awake to hear Degardo’s message, it would be recorded for him to know at a later time.

The radio emitted static again, someone is contacting Dubhlainn, but who could it be? Was it finally Natalia with information he was so waiting for? No it wasn’t Natalia, it was the old magus, Merlin Ambrosius.

Merlin Ambrosius was known to the world as Mejai Kaijura, only a few people knew his real name and a handful of them know who he really is. Merlin first met Dubhlainn while he was in the military, at the time Dubhlainn was just a lieutenant and his group was tasked to escort Merlin towards some ancient ruins for his study. After a series of events, Dubhlainn found himself employed by Savage Skull, he met Merlin afterwards who just quit the Magic Council.  Since then Merlin had been giving Dubhlainn a series of strange jobs, some that involves collecting rare specimens from monstrous beasts. Merlin owns a contract based agency called Garan no Dou, whereas Guildless mages can be employed to do jobs and special missions that wouldn’t normally come out of the public request boards.  Dubhlainn simply visits Merlin only to seek information, as Merlin himself is an info broker.

However in this time of need, Merlin was busy doing important work for Garan no Dou, the reason why Merlin is calling today was simply because:

“Sorry about that Dubhlainn, I was busy putting up my distillery in Rose Garden so what information do you need from me? Well I guess since you aren’t answering, you must have found some kind of answer but if not, do come immediately and drop by to Rose Garden sometime, I’ll be there from now till next week.”

And once again there was radio silence.

Disappointing that the only people who had called him on the radio so far were those who offered him work, and Dubhlainn was not in the mood to answer private requests right now. The hardware Dubhlainn possess is quite precious to him as it reminded him of the old military days, to have a good memory swiped from him would make him mad, or anyone for that matter who treasures their past.

More than a few hours past since contact, Dubhlainn had not eaten or drank just yet. The room remained dark was it was, his eyes slowly began to open and would turn over towards the radio. Once again there was static, it seems someone is contacting him but who could it be?

Dubhlainn had his eyes on the radio, anticipating that Natalia could have finally accomplished what he paid her to do, acquire the information on the group of people who tried stealing his precious hardware. As soon as he activated his microphone, he drags himself over to the table, switching on the lights and illuminating the dark room, revealing a whole armory of weapons. There were handguns, shotguns, rifles, submachine guns, heavy weapons, frags and weapon attachments, for people who loved weapons, this room would have been the greatest candy store on earth or at least one of them.

Dubhlainn selected his weapons carefully, and since he’s expecting to encounter a lot of hostiles and extraneous variables, he grabbed what would have been necessary, there were no heavy weapons but he did grabbed a lot of weapon attachments for the guns who’s going to take with him.

Dubhlainn exits the building, heading out in his marauder suit and passes through the Talonia marketplace, buying a single sandwhich and some water before heading out. He did starve himself waiting for Natalia to finally call.

“Dubhlainn, I know you’re there,  your microphone is on, I finally found what you’ve been looking for.”
    “Go ahead Natalia.”

Dubhlainn headed over to the ranch to pick up his horse, a farmer was taking care of it for him and he paid him afterwards. Dubhlainn’s horse was as lively as ever and it missed Dubhlainn, wanting to be petted.  Dubhlainn mounted the horse and rode off towards his destination.

“The Masked Guild is an independent faction that wanted to bring down the rival legal guilds, their aim is uncertain but there were hints that they could be planning to orchestrate civil war among the legal guilds.”

His first destination was the Phoenix Mountains, he was to search for a cave with an old rune marking and if he ever did, he’d be on the right path. Of course it wouldn't be evident considering the rock formation and the thick foliage here, the terrain was an obstacle but sure enough the information he received from Natalia was correct. He hid his horse and dismounted it, going into the mountains on foot.

“Once that they do, they would pass themselves as a new guild and bring order to all legal guilds, leaving it the most powerful legal guild in fiore.”

    “That’s possible”

Dubhlainn didn’t need to use his weapons, he only used his sheer strength and his military training and took down many of the Masked Guild’s sentries at once, crushing their bones, bashing them to trees or rocks and probably killed a few of them due to his anger. Because of how these sentries were positioned, it was easy to tell where their headquarters is. Usually sentries would be positioned around the base and according to the positions of these sentries; the guild hall was just up ahead. A storm is brewing and soon it began to rain, Dubhlainn located the compound and infiltrated it, going over from the wall and descending down, hiding from plain sight.  He did not bring heavy weapons, that was a fact but he did managed to grab enough explosives to blow up their base sky high.

“They are based in the Phoenix Mountains, or so I heard from one of their talkative dealers, they are a kilometer off the path towards the old Eclipse Soul guildhall, it seems that one of the high authorities of the Masked Guild was angry that his subordinates failed to acquire a piece of equipment.”

Upon hearing and remembering that, it just made Dubhlainn snap which is why he brought explosives instead. He couldn’t bring heavy weapons or it will stress his horse. It didn’t take long before the masked guild noticed of Dubhlainn’s presence and thus he started his skirmish. There were initiates, apprentices everywhere and they all fired their magic on Dubhlainn.

Dubhlain simply stomped on the ground, arching a rock which served as a shield. Dust and smoke would cover Dubhlainn’s approach, soon ball like projectiles were hurled at these mages, Dubhlainn is currently using his rifle, equipped with a grenade launcher, hitting large groups of people from the masked guild, destroying rock formations and foundations, burying some of their personnel in the process. More came, trying to close the gap between them only for them to be met with Dubhlainn’s shotgun, blowing down anyone who came close.

There were sniper like mages from the distance, they were the only ones that managed to give Dubhlainn some trouble, Dubhlainn ran fast, dodging and plowing through the masked guild members as if he were a steamroller, he left destruction in his wake as he made short work of these sniping mages. He took out the first one and used his high powered sniper rifle to take down the rest. Then it was a matter of using his fist and beating them up.

Every blow Dubhlainn delivers increases and drives his fury even higher, he was at a frenzy demanding the person who is in charge of stealing his precious cargo. It was quite big of a deal, having something stolen from Dubhlainn mocked him greatly. A heavy aura of anger, and bloodlust covered the entire atmosphere of the masked guild, walls were cracked or burst down, guild members were thrown everywhere and only a few of them remained who were stronger than what Dubhlainn just faced. Dubhlainn used up all his ammo and the only thing he had left has his magnum and a sword he picked up from a fallen foe.  He was in a fit of rage and walked towards the remaining and conscious members of the masked guild slowly. He was bruised, by spell shots and fire but from the way he’s walking and the anger that’s been building up, he didn’t seem to care.

“M-monster, to think he managed to cull our numbers and suffered heavy damage and yet, it seems as if he wasn’t the least bothered by it, is he even using magic?”

Dubhlainn was an anonymous opponent to them, the masked guild had no information about Dubhlainn, anything about this man was beyond their knowledge.  The entire time, Dubhlainn wasn’t in his marauder outfit but he was wearing the armor that made him look like a dullahan as his passive manifested.

Angry… so angry at this mediocrity they call mages… they think they are gods with the possession of magic but they are just all the same to me regardless of who they are.

He roared and dashed through to finish of the remainders of the masked guild, in a fit of anger and rage, the idea of having a memory robbed was unforgivable in itself.

He also found a schematic of the guild’s entire structure in the guildmaster’s office, primarily he intended to look for the guildmaster himself, but he wasn’t there and he just found this schematic in an attempt to find any clues of his whereabouts. He smashed through the floors finding more mages that were hiding from his wrath and they were all beaten badly but not to the point of death but rather they wouldn’t be able to move properly for days and only their sheer will power may allow them to call for help.

They were all unconscious, some were injured and some had difficulty in breathing and not a single one of the 500 mages present in the masked guild died.

“Very well, bring in the supply train with you; I’ll pay you when we meet at the Phoenix Mountains.”

Natalia arrived just in time along with a few men, armed with guns and heavy weapons such as a flamethrower or a gattling gun. Natalia brought with her one heck of a death squad, she walked up towards the lobby only to see Dubhlainn sitting down, polishing his unused magnum.

There were bodies of his fallen foes everywhere, some were hanging by the pillars and by the window even, and behind Dubhlainn were banners of the masked guild as well as the masks of the members themselves.

“I got news for you Dubhlainn, it seems to me the people you were looking for already left the Phoenix Mountains just before you came here” she spoke as she drew a cigar and smoke, inhaling the nicotine and puffing it out.

“They are headed for Clover Town as we speak.”
Dubhlainn stood up and put his gun away, he had used up all his ammo to wreak havoc in the Masked Guild’s guildhall.

“Gather the guild banners and the masks; we’re leaving in 15 minutes” Dubhlainn, Natalia and the rest of the crew gathered everything that represented the Masked Guild and loaded it all onto the supply train. Insides the supply train were more weapons and ammo for Dubhlainn to use.

“Now for the bad news, apparently some mages have responded to their presence, one of course is sabertooth and the other one you know is Anastasia.”

The engine of the supply train sounded, it started to move.

“A bard is nothing more than a liability, what was Sabertooth thinking?” Dubhlainn commented as he grabbed a different sniper rifle and some of its ammo.  He opened the supply train doors and whistled out to call for his trusty stead.

“She is a bard no more Dubhlainn, I assure you.”

“Send message to the masked guild that their guild hall was raided” Dubhlainn’s horse was galloping, keeping up with the pace of the accelerating supply train, a simple jump was no problem as the man in armor mounted the horse. Soon afterwards, the supply train and the rider parted ways to different routes.

Arriving a few miles outside of clover town, the rider stopped to simply observe from higher ground.

For a moment he was curious when Natalia mentioned that Ana was no longer a bard. Perhaps she had taken a different role? If so then he must keep an eye out for her, he drew his binoculars just for that only to see a ship hovering above clover town, it looked quite advanced but to Dubhlainn it was a common sight. It’s unusual to see something so modern be present in an age that stagnated only to magic but perhaps the era of modernization had long already begun.

An entity fell from the sky and transformed at what appeared to be a mechanical being, diving in to clean off the horde of masked mages, along with her was a stone mage, he who was hell bent on the pure destruction and killing of the masked guild. In comparison to Dubhlainn, they never did show any mercy to the enemy, their actions would merit them as dark mages.  After a few minutes of observation, he rode his horse down to clover town, taking the armor off and into his marauder attire. He headed straight for the hall of guildmasters only to see some of their guards knocked out cold.

This hostile takeover wasn’t necessary, not it was used as a diversion to buy some time.

While Ana and Minh were battling most of the Masked Guild, Dubhlainn played an important role.

A few of the masked guild’s mages were seen collecting information on all legal guilds. While chaos continued outside the Hall of Guildmasters, they were stealing documents.

From out of the door, a chain grabbed one of the mages and pulled them straight into the door. Then it emerged again to whip the masked guild members, knocking them unconscious and some of them were simply just thrown out the window. The last of the masked mages cringed in fear, finally realizing that they were found out. Dubhlainn in his marauder attire, masked in black, appeared before the final masked mage.

He grabbed the masked mage’s neck and bolt him to a wall.

“Take me to your leader…” He spoke in a strange alien like voice

“W-WHAT ARE YOU AN ALIEN!?” His reaction was expected, Dubhlainn tightened his grip

“He’s out there… H-he…” As soon as Dubhlainn let go of the masked guildmember, the chain quickly wrapped around him and sent him out the window.

Tremors of their battle were felt throughout the entire town, there was no time to waste, Dubhlainn seeks to punish this man severely, his anger had died out but the grudge remained.

His rifle was at the ready, as of now he would not allow anyone to interfere, so as a result he must bring down the two mages first before confronting the masked guildmaster.

The winds were high, you can hear it whistling while riding on the supply train, it was strong, strong enough to even contribute to the supply train’s speed. The supply train door opens and out flies the masked guild banners and the masks of its fallen members, they all flew up into the air.

It was hard to not even notice that the symbol of the masked guild was literally flying everywhere. Clover Town was raining masks and cloth. Because of the damage Ana and Minh did around here and there, they would have ruined parts of the landscape that would leave a faint fog in the area, as dust particles were to fly everywhere.

Of course they would assume it was due to their battle but in fact its not…

This mist was here for a reason.

A mist in clover town? Ridiculous

Minh’s attention was drawn towards the Masked Guildmaster but then 5 bolts were shot at him from behind, carrying enough poison to bring down moby dick.

One fact he had taken into account was that Minh is not human but a rampaging beast, he is as wrathful as he gets, he has a rock hard exterior and normal bullets wouldn’t suffice, therefore he had to be shot with piercing bolts from behind that were all covered and filled with poison.

But this poison was non-lethal, the bolts wouldn’t hurt him but it would be more than enough to put him to sleep.

The area on the ground is being covered with a strange mist and any form of Ana’s clairvoyance abilities would fail to analyze what is happening  but if she gets distracted now…

It would only do the Masked Guild master a favor by firing another deadly beam of energy at her

    Word Count: 3191 + 8242 = 11,433

(I apologize for not ending things as I thought maybe you wanted to reply to take him down. I'll have Minh retire from all this if he's really inactive.)

The Masked Guild Empty Re: The Masked Guild

Post by RockyTheRockiestRock 21st July 2016, 5:46 pm

Minh watched as the man before him was exposed from the sheer physical force of his blow with the armor encasing him seemingly dispersing allowing for vital strike at him if needed, but at such a point, it would be better to capture the man alive and take him in as leverage to strike down this entire little guild of theirs. However, despite what he thought of his partner, he finds her being the one pointing the figurative gun right onto the head of the man in question with killing intent. He knew that while he was not the only one capable of killing without hesitation, but the frequency of such persons were quite rare for him to meet. He was not referring to the psychotic killers and serial killers, but those that fought to keep order and peace at whatever the cost. There might be a number of things that he is missing about the two individuals, and what animosity between them was something Minh wasn't going to touch on out of respect. As usual, fate has a means of reminding him that things don't always go so smoothly as a powerful wave of power emanated from the downed man, and Minh barely managed to gain his footing as he looks upon the formerly armored man in another suit, most likely one much more potent that he had face before.

Then a sensation of multiple bolts punching against his skin was felt as a volley of high, kinetic projectiles were slammed into him. His head turned with an unnatural quickness and flexibility to take in the view of the unknown figure who had appeared. Then as if on cue, each of the said projectile popped off his back while he surged forward, head swerving back straight ahead as he bullrushed the armored man once more while thinking on what had just happened. The projectiles had hit himself just enough force to barely scratch his body, but a sudden thought ran through his mind that this new individual was looking for some sort of take-down. Many people have in the past believed him to be mortal still of flesh and blood with just an unnatural enhancement, and if he truly was, his skin would've been puncture just enough to get penetration into the flesh. They must be poisoned or at leash were shot in a means to not kill outright, and a quick flash of hand signals were done before he focused the entirety of his mind into the attack.

The armored man had noted his attack and swung one of the two swords in a low, horizontal swipe that Minh reacted to by ducking low with his arms tucked up against him like a boxer would. His position was lower enough to allow the weapon to pass overhead without a single scratch, but the earthen fighter desired to disrupt this foe as well as give Taliya some opening to jump right in. As the sword barely began to move above him, he launched upwards with a solid shoulder aimed to slam into the weapon into a lurching motion as it completes its arc to throw the man off as much balance as possible.

In the midst of all of this Cheepie took up position near Anastasia in a protective stance as his eye was focused upon the stranger that entered the battle. His little weapon and eyes were trained on the man for any sudden motion as well as the fact that something off was picking away at his animal instinct, further increasing the caution in this small, avian creature. It will be a short while before Cheepie would regain his ability to transform into his terrifying form, and hopefully no surprises will happen until then.

    11,433 + 628 = 12061 words

    A New Challenger
    Has Arrived

As Anastasia was resting herself, she noticed 5 bolts come from what seemed to be absolutely nowhere go into Minh's back.  This caused Anastasia to react with dread, only to see the bolts quickly pull themselves out of Minh's body. Her eyes turned towards the seemingly new threat by the name of Dubhlainn as a fog started to come in.  While the new threat seemed to be a nuisance, her main focus, for now, was the golden armored man.  Taliya looked towards Ana for a moment and cleared her throat.  "I know what you're thinking, Ana.  Don't do it," she said in a warning.

"I don't care.  That bastard needs to die.  And I'm going to need enough strength to handle that new guy that walked in," she said as the Fire Moth continued it's relentless assault on the armored man.  She withdrew the weapon, summoning it back to her side once again.  With a quick grunt, Anastasia stood straight up before a strange bluish-white light began to envelope her body for a moment before a blinding white flash covered her body.  Her size appeared to be altered before an explosion of energy shot out from around her.

A new armor she had withheld until now was uncovered.  Upon appearing in the armor, Anastasia looked towards the man in the gold armor.  "You are a monster!  Just like the Pirate Kings," she said over the Public Address system for everyone to be able to hear her words.  "For that, I will hold no quarter.  I have chosen you to become my next Einherjar," she said before her already green suit started to emanate a strange red aura around it.

Anastasia could be seen within the armor fiddling around with the command console before the words "Trans-Am" could be seen written on the screen, turning the entire cockpit a bright red color.  The red particle effect around Ana's new armor began to flare up like fire.  The Armored Man stopped his assault on Minh for a moment to notice Ana's new armor.  The man appeared to be in complete shock at what he was seeing.

"The Trans-Am system was activated?  Very well," the man said before he, too, began his transformation into his FINAL FORM!  With a quick transformation, the leader of the Masked Guild changed his suit into a smaller, more agile suit.  However, Ana wasn't the type to allow someone to fully power up, causing Anastasia to dive into the battle, swinging her dragon Fang towards the target's left arm, squeezing it in her dragon claw, eventually destroying it, leaving the man's armor without an arm.

Directly after the arm was removed, he instantly retaliates with a single slash, which Anastasia casually blocked with a shield of energy, bouncing the attack off of her shield.  A follow-up stab was given only for another shield to be brought up, this time the shield enveloped Ana's entire body in a globe-like structure.  If one looked closely, the field was covered in hyper-excited and ionized nano-machines.  With another quick strike with her other Dragon Fang, Anastasia lashed out at the man's armor's left leg, destroying the machine's leg at the knee.  This caused the man to fall over in his armor.

"Stop!  Please!  I beg you!"  the man said as he started to scoot back while in his armor.  "How many people have said that to you and your men here in Clover Town?  How many lives have you taken in your tenure?  How many lives have you taken with these machines?" she asked.  He got his machines from a rival company.  It wasn't the fact that it was her rival company that bothered her, but the methods and ethics of the rival company that had her angry.

"I won't kill any more!  Please give me mercy!" the man shouted before a bright white light surrounded him, bringing him to just his normal body.  Using his smaller size to his advantage, the man started to scurry about, away from Anastasia.

"I don't think so!" Taliya said before she ran towards the man and shoulder charged him, causing him to slide along the ground before coming to a stop.  Anastasia stepped towards the man and carefully with the jaws of her Dragon Fangs, she picked the man up, incapacitating his arms and legs, with only his head appearing above the Dragon Fangs.  She brought the man up to the camera of her suit and looked at him.

"Give me one reason to let you live, you monster," she asked in an angered voice.

"I can help rebuild.  I'll spend my time in prison if that'll atone for my sins!" he said for a moment.  This caused Anastasia to look around, being able to see the spirits of those that had recently perished.  Their look of anguish could be seen and nothing else needed to be said.  Turning her eyes back towards the man, Anastasia squeezed the control stick of her suit resulting in the man's immediate death.  Ana left nothing but blood stains upon her Dragon Fang before dropping his corpse to the ground.

"Now, if you wish to be redeemed, listen to the words I say," she said to the man's corpse.  Many people would believe Ana was crazy, but she does have an offer that he can't refuse.   "I can offer you a warriors rest if you agree to make a contract with me."

"Why couldn't you have offered this while I was alive!?  What the fuck!" the man asked.  Yeah, that was a good question.  But Ana's lineage doesn't work that way.  "That's not important.  You are to rest for now and when I need you, you will come to me when I need you.  If you do this for me, you will finally rest in peace.  Otherwise, you will never rest."

"What happens if I don't agree to this?"

"Well, have you heard of indefinite torture for all of the sins you have committed?"  Ana asked.

    "What kind of torture?"

"Burning, choking, pain..  For the rest of eternity."

"Sign me up!" the man said before his spirit vanished.

    ---ANASTASIA OBTAINED AN EINHERJAR---

After Anastasia ended the life of the leader of the Masked Guild, she turned her attention, and the attention of her Fire Moth weapon and Taliya towards the newcomer.  "Explain yourself.  Otherwise I will be forced to end you the same way that piece of trash was ended.  You have 10 seconds to do so, vermin"

The Masked Guild Empty Re: The Masked Guild

Post by Dubhlainn 23rd July 2016, 8:13 am

What Dubhlainn couldn’t believe was how the earth solid man was still able to move, there was almost more than enough poison in those bolts to put a normal human to a comma, he did consider the fact that his man wasn’t human so he emptied an entire clip. But now is not the time to wonder about that, he revealed his location and must move to another, there were one earthen man and two airborne targets. It’s going to be hard to believe someone would have a powerful anti-body that would negate a very potent sedative and still keep going after that, and it will be difficult to catch speed based opponents, especially airborne ones.

He has not originally come here to engage in a fight that had too many variables plus the use of his magic is not recommended for this battle, if Dubhlainn cannot take the two of the fighting mages down, then he will take their target from them.

But it wasn’t meant to be, the sight of her tearing the man limb from limb was inhuman, the actions of the Stone Fighter was inhuman, their actions were inhuman and that justifies that they are legal mages?

    Mediocrity… full of Mediocrity…

    Ridiculous and senseless their actions…

    Mediocrity…

He wasn’t afraid of her, he'd fight her if he must, but he’s outgunned, the poison on the Stone Mage, could have put him to sleep, the sedatives effects should be coming up to him any second now. The woman Anastasia had stolen his target or rather has him accumulate into her magic, it was pure tyranny. As a man who doesn’t rely on his magic he must give everyone a grim reminder, that magic doesn’t make you unstoppable.

He was about to reach for his holster but then the Rune Knights were arriving.

Curse this day that she stolen his prey, Curse mages who are inhuman or have forgotten they are human, curse them and their pure mediocrity….

He came out from where he hid, the mist covering most of the town but he just stood there exposed, pointing a gun at Ana while the Rune Knights converge on their location.

“…..” He cannot allow a thief to threaten him and get away with it but unfortunately it won’t be wise either. The last of the Banners and Masks finally fell down and littered in the town, the Masked Guild was broken but its members were yet alive.

He a dark mage who had spared his opponents and chooses what he can kill
They, legal mages who fight to kill… who is the true monster here?

And just by pulling the trigger…. Everything went white, Minh, Ana and Taliya were all blinded and the last thing she would see, was a masked man who concealed half his face around the eyes, with a mouth that expressed complete disappointment and anger.

    He was gone…

The supply train already left the town and before the Rune Knights could arrive he already had escaped. He rode on his horse simply because he Ana guilty… he finds Minh guilty… they were all guilty and yet no justice is done for the men that had died in that town.

Mages… they will pay for abusing their magics…

And as quickly as the fog rolled in, a bright light was created causing temporary blindness for Taliya and a whiting out of Anastasia's external camera.  This turned her anger towards the new mage to annoyance with an audible groan.  While Anastasia was annoyed, Taliya could be heard screeching in pain from the flash bang.  "What the hell!" Taliya could be heard saying.  "What's that guys problem anyway! Holy shit!" she said as she pawed at her eyes, keeping them closed so not to damage her eyes by letting any more light in.

"He could have just walked away.  Fuckin' Hell!" Taliya continued to curse out, ruing the fact that she had better eye-sight and light sensitivity than humans do.  Due to not being able to see anything, Anastasia pulled her armor and weapons back into her pocket dimension, enveloping her body with pure white light before appearing in mid-air.  Once her armor and weapons disappeared, she slowly floated back down to the ground.  The smoke began to clear as the rest of the guild began to run away upon seeing their leader dispatched.

Ana turned to look towards the departed man in his suit of armor before the armor turned to dust.  "Well, crap.  That would have been nice to use or reverse engineer," she said before the Rune Knights showed up; fashionably late as usual.  She tugged at the corner of her mouth, displaying the dismay of the Rune Knights showing up late.  "You guys missed out.  The threat was taken care of.  If you guys really want something to do, you could go hunt down the stragglers," she said as she pointed south east where the rest of the mages went.

The stupidity of the Rune Knights caused them to look at one another for a moment before shrugging their shoulders and 'hut-hut-hut'ing their way to the south east where the stragglers went.  Anastasia placed her forehead into her palm for a moment, stunnded at the stupidity of such a pointless organization.  She turned her eyes towards Minh, around the same time Taliya finally got her vision back.  She could be seen blinking a lot with tears in her eyes.

"Hey.  The name's Anastasia.  You did a good job out there.  You and your crazy little bird thing," she said as she looked over Cheepie.  A smile came over her face as she then nodded her head and waved towards Minh.  "Well, be seeing you," she said as she waved once more and walked back towards her ship.  After that battle, Ana could use a bath.
