E laine produced a small bit of laughter that she was able suppress to a small whispering laugh instead of a loud outburst. "Thirty-five grand is all they put on your head... these people are a bit cheap." Then came Elaine stating that if they found out about her situation they would try to kill her and Azure, but she said they would kill Destiny, not try... they would. "Do you honestly think killing that child is so simple?" Suriel's tone was soft, but one could notice the hint of confidence in it. "I'll have you know that child has the same level of power Azurius did when he died as a human. She's using some type of magic to suppress her magic presence to human levels, but she's already put a few people on their asses... Inside her home back in that village we picked her up in, there were twelve corpses in the room all caked in magic and blood. They inspected her former mother but found no magic in her, or at least, no more than the average human. So they wouldn't kill her, they would try, but never succeed.""Lady West." a whisper called from a window. "I'd remember that voice anywhere even with the years you've been gone. You should not have returned..." it was an old woman whispering at them through a crack in a window. "Not all are so narrow minded, quickly child come in and get off the streets before you're noticed." Suriel raised an eyebrow, noting exactly how quickly their disguises proved to be worthless. Suriel saw a door open slowly with a young boy waving them to enter. "If they try anything, I'm using the keys." Suriel whispered softly so only Elaine would hear as she motioned towards the child. Inside the home was rather simple. There were a few nicknacks and doodads here and there, a rather well kept couch, though it was still quite old looking. The woman came out with a burner and a tea pot, making tea right in front the two so they would see that she wasn't adding anything 'special' to it. "I was once a servant at lady West's home, quite some time before her little accident." she said, letting Suriel know what her relation to Elaine was. "This young man here is my grandson, Nathaniel." the boy poked his head out from behind the woman, giving a small wave. "Such a handsome young man you are, so why would you hide it away?" Suriel gave a light smile, the words causing the boy to turn a bit red and sink behind the old woman further. "No, you're moving the wrong direction. Step out from behind her, it's rude to use ladies as shields." she said, her voice was a bit playful. The boy stepped out from behind her slowly, sheepishly holding his own hands while avoiding Suriel's eyes. "Good, now step closer." the boy followed the order and got within physical range of Suriel. She then reached out and lifted the boy up, placing him on her lap and holding his hand while smiling. His face was red, not being used to having company, as well as having a very small fear of females. A gentle kiss on his temple had mad the boy look at Suriel with a confused look, she had just met him, yet she showed signs of affection. He didn't speak, and decided to just relax and leaned onto her. What he didn't know was that Suriel had just taken him hostage in the event the old woman had a nefarious plot; though she wouldn't let that be known. Her posture was friendly, open, and comfortable in all aspects. The old woman smiled "It seems you have a way with boys, you must have many suitors." Suriel gave a smile back "I am but a lowly servant, I have no need for love beyond my master here. Lady West is a kind master, she takes better care of me than I could ever hope so all of my relationship needs are met." Her voice sounded truthful, and her smile was generous. "Of course, lady west has always been a good girl. I was extremely sad when you left, but I was glad to know you escaped. So tell me dear, why did you return?" a set of tea was poured and placed before everyone, including a cup for the young boy. The old woman took a sip of hers which let Suriel know the tea wasn't poisoned, if it were the woman wouldn't have drank hers. WORDS Out of ---- |

Re: Vacation Time!
She nodded, there was something special about Des, but she was just a child and children could have fear easily sticken into them. That's when she hear a old voice, raspy and the creaking of a mud crusted window, a voice beckoning them to take shelter within their home, when she turned to inspect the ace it was that of a kindly older woman. "Mme. Labelle!" She stage whispered, eyes wide. She hadn't seen this woman in many many years, along side Marie, she had helped raise Elaine. She was kind and motherly, she had most likely gotten exiled from the castle after Elaine's incident. When Suriel brought up the keys she gripped the Angels wrist, with a smal squeeze of reassurance, "It's alright, she's an old friend of mine." She went inside to see that she had come out with tea and a young boy, hiding behind her. "Nathanial....? My goodness....." She gasped, she knew that Mme. Labelle had had a grandson, her daughter had given birth to him right before Elaine left, just in time for her to visit the mother and the small-then- infant boy. "You wouldn't remember me, I only saw you for a brief moment when you were just a baby. You didn't cry you know, you had worried your family so much, but the minute I left the home, you let out the loudest wail that woke the village." Elaine recalled while chuckling to herself softly. Suriel had gone to further inspect the young boy, making him blush and smile slightly.
The older woman commented on how she must be popular with men and Suriel replied the she was Elaine's servant, saying all sorts of kind things which made her laugh slightly. Never had Suriel spoken about her like that and she found it funny. "She isn't actually mine; she belongs to someone with far more power than I." She interjected, causing the woman to nod understandingly, Elaine was comfortable with her and confidant she wouldn't judge her on any of what she did. The elder woman then asked why she had returned and Elaine sighed; pushing her hood back and letting her hair down. "Regardless if Suriel had come or not. I was planning to overthrow this island. I may be a felon, but I am also next in line to rule this island, and if it must be by force; I will make the sister islands believe that not all magic is evil. That it can be used for good...." She looked up towards the large mansion shadowing the village, "and that times are changing, and my people are more at risk to be afraid of magic then to open their arms to it. I wasn't planning to arrive here so early in my trip with my family, I was hoping to leave in the last possible time because I feared that I would not be coming home for quite sometime. I hoped that at that time, my family would be far enough across the water that they would stay out of harms way. But now it seems as though I have to work around this trip."

Re: Vacation Time!
T he old woman looked at Suriel, saying "I can understand lying for your friends dear, but it is a nasty habit to do so." her voice was kind, despite Suriel feeling a bit of insult in it. Suriel gave no retort, only continued holding the young boy and maintaining a calm expression. The words of committing a coup d'état on this island and its government. Through this, Suriel remained silent out of respect, and knowing Elaine would likely never accept her aid with it. For the longest the two had been at ends with each other, the fact that Suriel was trying to become her friend seemed to be yielding some form of results, but not enough to where Elaine would trust the angel with her life.Back on the other island, Azurius had sung Destiny to sleep and gently tucked her in before heading out to go take a walk. He needed to clear his mind, or find some answers as to why he did what he did... WORDS TAG |

Re: Vacation Time!
Elaine then had a spur of the moment, she turned toward Suriel and wrapped her arms around her. "Thank you...." She whispered to the angel. She knew that they had never been great friends, they had trouble getting along and both were-as much as they hated to admit it-most likely just fighting to get Azure's attention. Elaine understood though, she could never take Suriel's place; she was his closest friend and second in command. Elaine was nothing more than a girl he had fallen for only a few months ago. "For everything you've done for me, I know I can be a brat sometimes and I know I'm not your best friend but; thank you."
It was then that a loud noise, a stampede of feet tore through the streets. "It was her! I swear! The demon girl!" A voice shouted from outside "I saw her and another one, a young girl maybe, they went into that home!" There was then the sound of skin hitting skin, a small moan of pain and a body hitting the pavement outside. Elaine then pushed the young boy, his grandmother and Suriel into the back room. "Get them to safety, I'll be fine." She pushed them into the back room just as the door was locked down in a cloud of smoke.

Re: Vacation Time!
T hings had turned a bit sweet for a moment before calamity broke out in the form of some asshole having noticed Elaine, recognized her, and ratted them out. Elaine had nudged everyone to safety, telling Suriel to get them the rest of the way. Naturally, Suriel's idea of safety was as far away from the island as possible, without being completely unable to return. Once the door to the room was closed, Suriel grabbed the old lady's hand and the boys and let off a fragment of her magic power. They all disappeared, reappearing on the island originally designated for their vacation. "Wait here." she said before appearing in the middle of the room that was enclosed. Suriel listened through the door to find out what was going on, on the other side. If someone would come to check inside the room, she would immediately vanish, using her natural ability to disperse herself.WORDS Out of ---- |

Re: Vacation Time!
Elaine was thrown against the table, breaking it in half. She could easily get up; summon her kings bow and kill everyone here in a matter of seconds; but she let knew that it would only cause more trouble, so she rained in the rubble of the home, lips sealed. "What are you doing here my Lady?"One of the guards sneered in mock sincerity. "We've been so worried about you." he continued, grabbing her and throwing her to the side into the wall. "Don't think you were being discrete; we knew you were on Crescent and we knew you'd come here. And you even went on vacation with your family. That's sweet, I wonder how they would feel if they saw you like this." when he picked her up again, facing him, Elaine spit the blood in her mouth at him. She hadn't expected them to know about Azure or Des, it's possible they even knew about Suriel. Her eyes flicked to the the back room briefly; she then proceeded to kick the guard holding her in the stomach and sprint to the back room; where Suriel was, her eyes wide. "We need to go back. Now." She said, with a bit of blood dripping down her face.

Re: Vacation Time!
T he two would feel a hand resting on their shoulders, a rather young looking woman with green hair attached to the hand with a soft smile. "I'm three steps ahead of you." she would say with a friendly tone, the distinct popping sound of her teleportation spell activating would be heard before the two found themselves in the middle of the living room with the old maid and her grandson. Suriel turned to Elaine, a rather sour expression on her face. "You know we're in a pretty shitty position. They know quite a bit, so if you had any plans of taking your home back in the distant future, we're gonna have to expedite them." her voice was serious, and concerned. Suriel had faith in Destiny's ability to protect herself against one or two, but likely they'd come after her with much more since they knew about Azurius. "Ummm... I was going to tell you this before they showed up... but if you're looking to overthrow the anti-magic government, you're not alone..." the old woman spoke up. She turned to Elaine, folding up her sleeve and removing a glove to reveal a type of mark that emitted no magical energy at all... a normal tatto? "This is the symbol of our organization dearies. We've been planning in secret to take down the local house, and replace it with leaders who will act in the best interest of the people. But all of us are either too old to fight, too young to lead, or too angry to rule. So all of our actions thus far have been limited to establishing underground, secret ways of getting around the islands for when someone better comes along." Suriel looked to Elaine, her eyes filled with focus. The angel walked up to the human, grabbing her hand and pulling her into her, wrapping her arms around her. "Your destiny calls to you mortal, embrace it with an open heart." she said while hugging her. Something else was whispered in Elaine's ear that the other two couldn't hear. "My master..." Suriel let go of Elaine taking a few steps back. "Don't make any decisions tonight." she turned away and walked over to the other two, the old woman and the boy. "Azure is currently sitting at the edge of a cliffside overlooking the sea. I advise you pay him a visit." she then told the other two and lead them over to the room where Suriel was supposed to sleep. Inside Elaine's head, she would hear Suriel's voice 'I know you won't like this, but keep in mind, the slower you act, the more people die... If you do decide to do this, we're going to need Azurius. There are some things about him you never knew... things we can use to surprise them. But he will eventually show you, so the longer we wait, the more time they have to learn about those things. I won't act without your word, but I will advise you to act quickly.' WORDS Out of ---- |

Re: Vacation Time!
Elaine sighed and pushed the hair out of her face, a heavy weight on her chest, she knew this was suppose to be a vacation and yet she had spent the whole time fighting for her home. What Azure must think of her; she held her breath when Suriel took her hand, sayin that the fate of her home rested on her shoulders. She couldn't save an island, not something she had once destroyed, not something that had once abused her to the point where she felt like nothing more than a tool. At that moment she felt like screaming; she shouldn't have gotten herself into this and now there was no way out. She should have just enjoyed the vacation like Az had said.
Though, she was surprised when Suriel whispered two small words in her ear. Claiming that she two, know matter if Azurius was her true master, was also her master. Elaine smiled kindly and did a surprising thing for the second time that evening and hugged the angel once more. She was glad Suriel and her were actually getting along. Then the elderly woman left the two and Suriel headed off towards the hotel, telling her to go find Azurius and to go tell him the truth. But also warning her that every second she wasted was another life lost. This made her stomach churn and the guilt settle in. What if she couldn't win? What if more people were killed than saved? These thoughts ran through her head until she reached Azure, quickly she wiped the blood away from her mouth and walked up behind him, wrapping her arms around his neck and placing her head on his shoulder; giving him a quick kiss on the cheek.
"Hey Love." She murmured; sliding down next to him and watching the ocean lap against the rocks. She rested her head on his shoulder, contemplating how to go about this. "I have something....I want to talk about with you....." She said, phrasing her words slowly and carefully.

Re: Vacation Time!
A zurius sat there, staring out at the blank ocean, containing not a single wave at its surface as it reflecting the visage of the moon overhead. Tears formed in his eyes, streaming down his cheeks as he clenched his fists, the actualization of how far her was about to attempt to go... the fact that he knew 'that' was a major barrier for many humans, and not knowing Elaine's position on 'it' made him want to just let himself fall off the side of the cliff, down to the jagged rocks below. He knew Elaine would grieve, but he knew that she would be able to find another man... a better man with time. He found himself sliding forward, just when a pair of arms was thrown around him, causing Azure's eye to open wide. 'Hey Love.' she said, her voice was sweet, and it let him know that she wasn't a figment of his imagination, coming to remind him that while she could find another man, she wouldn't want to... Azure's heart began racing as she sat down next to him, saying that she had business with him. He immediately turned to her, letting her head slide off his shoulder as he pressed his into her chest and hugged her tightly. "I'm sorry! I don't know why I did what I did, but I'm sorry!" he screamed as tears continued streaming from his eyes. He knew that she knew exactly what he was talking about. After all, there were many things that could be used to describe Elaine, but an idiot wasn't among them... He tightened his hug further, emphasizing that he wouldn't let go until she forgave him without having to say a word. WORDS Out of ---- |

Re: Vacation Time!
Elaine was suddenly crushed to Azure's chest, so much so that it knocked the air out of her upon impact. She could vaguely make out some sort of muffled apology as he held her tighter. Needless to say she was confused, she wasn't actually sure why he was apologizing so much until the events from that preceding evening dawned on her. She began to giggle, which then turned into a full blown laugh as she peeled herself away from him; wiping the tears from her eyes she place her free hand on the side of his face.
"Oh, Love no....that's not what I wanted to talk about. Do you really think I wouldn't have stopped you if I didn't want that? Azurius, I was completely in my right mind out on the balcony; I was fully aware of where everything was heading. But sometimes I forget; that we can't be like other couples....but still, you don't have to apologize for any of it Az. If anything I should." She laughed and shook her head. Though, the nagging thought of her home island pulled at her. Her smile faded and she dropped her hands; not really meeting him in the eyes anymore.
"You see that island, out on the distance?" She pointed to the tiny island she and Suriel had returned from. "That is Alyssum, my home. That is where we were, and I didn't realize it until I got there.....but it is in desperate need of my help. I'm a criminal on my own land and I haven't returned there in years; up until tonight that is. A-and I know this is a lot to ask of you but I need your help....my people, aren't happy. They are ruled by fear and malice. I can't let them live like that any longer. They are shut out to the outside world." She rambled. She had stuttered which had made her upset because she wasn't a fan of showing weakness, and she knew that she never needed to beg for Azure to help her. But she felt the need to anyways, just given the fact that she had lied to him about her whereabouts and now, her life, his and even Des' we're in trouble.
She looked back at him, bit the inside of her lip and swallowed slightly out of nervousness, "Please Azurius, I need your help."

Re: Vacation Time!
A zurius's eyes widened when Elaine had sounded off, asking him for assistance for the first time. He knew her to have pride that prevented her from doing so unless she was near death, and even then she would hesitate as she had done a moment before. His eyes turned bold, a confident, determined expression about them as they glowed under the moonlight. 'Aries, meet me at the hotel. Bring Sterba and Sepharian with you, find Sybil and ask her to notify the others.' he said using the telepathic bond he and his celestials shared. Azure took Elaine's hand and began pulling her up, helping her get to her feet. "Never once do I want you to beg anything of me again. You need only ask once, and not explain your reasoning. If the actions are below me, no reason will be sufficient to make me perform them; for you, very few actions are below me." he said with a very stern voice that implied those words were true.Azurius wrapped an arm around her waist, pulling her in and pressing his lips to hers. He tightened his hug, and if she hadn't disconnected by now, he would insert his tongue into her mouth and begin tying a cherry stem into a knot, or rather, that's what would happen if Elaine's tongue was replaced with a cherry stem. Assuming they made it this far, Azurius would separate before he got himself carried away again and say "I... just wanted to do that once more." with a sheepish tone. His posture would immediately switch back to full business, and his eyes would resume their firm golden glow. "Let's go, I've got some friends back at the hotel." If Elaine would stop Azurius at any point, he would apologize and return to his business mode, saying the exact same line. Upon arrival at the hotel, Suriel would see several individuals with rather high magical presences. She would see Aries leaning against the wall, Sterba and Sepharian seated next to each other on the couch, Vince in the kitchen getting something from the fridge, Sybil and Pyro both looking over a book they had found, and the Celestial Gate Spirit sitting on her knees in a corner of the room. The first three, Aries, Sterba, and Sepharian emitted massive magic, and the last of the set seemed to be around Elaine's area. "Elaine, I'm sure you remember my spirits, or at least some of them. The guy by the fridge is Vince, he's a good stealth fighter. Pyro over there is good for distractions, Sterba and Sepharian are both power houses. Aries, and Sybil are infiltrators, they're best sticking in places where swords and spears are out of reach." "We won't be able to stick around forever, we're all here using our own magic so I'll give it four hours before one of the others gotta go back; six hours before the strongest." Aries said while getting off the wall. She approached Elaine, looking her dead in the eyes and saying with a devilish smirk "So, what's the game plan chief?"

Re: Vacation Time!
Azure's word made her smile. Even though she already knew the answer she was glad that he would help her with her mission. He helped her up and smiled, he pressed her into a hug before kissing her. She smiled slightly and deepened the kiss, though she was sure that it ended for to quickly as he apologized saying that he just wanted to try it one more time. She shook her head and laughed. "You do know you don't have to apologize to me every time you kiss me, right?" She said smartly as she walked back to the hotel with him. When they arrived there was a few of Azurius' spirits and soldiers that Elaine recognized. Aries and Sybil were two of them of whom she knew; then Azure proceeded to introduce the rest.
Aries explained that they had each six hours of magic power and asked her what was the plan.
"T-the plan.....right." She muttered, she hadn't gotten as far as making a complete plan but she was going to try her best. "The people of that village or our first priority, I want them as far from the battle as possible, no civilian casualties. Next up; the guards, they're stationed around the outer edges castle; they guard the cardinal points of the building. Rotating every two hours, about 35 guards per point. None of them are Mages so they should be easy to go down. Then there are the royal guards, those who protect the Lady and Sir of the island, those who run the island. There are 14 of them and they all possess magical powers. I've only seen the few of them....growing up around the castle I only witnessed their magic a few times in my life. I only know of 7 of them; air magic, water, fire, puppet, gun, take-over and immobilization. The other 7 I have never seen. I was never allowed to see them; they were my parents personal guards." She explained. She was sure that they could easily take these guards down; but she felt as though she should warn them before hand.
"The people who run the island....I can take them myself. It just requires a bit of....persuasion." She sighed, pushing her hair out of the way. She wasn't sure she wanted to go through with this, but the people living there couldn't live like this anymore. "So....um, any questions?"
Aries explained that they had each six hours of magic power and asked her what was the plan.

Re: Vacation Time!
A zurius walked over to a table, grabbing a vase with flowers in it and moving it, the rest of his spirits helping to clear the table of other decorum. He then materialized the Holy Archive, opening the book to somewhere around the middle, the book releasing a gentle golden aura. "Location: Human realm, continent earthland, country Fiore, Island Assylum." He said with a firm voice, the pages rapidly turning on their own accord and stopping after a small bit of time. A map of the island appeared, but only showing the surface. It was a real-time map of the area, showing the current locations of every single person.Azure's eyes locked with Sybil and the Celestial Gatekeeper. "Syibil, Gate; I want you both to begin voiding the island of any civilian. Stay together, Sybil you're in charge of reading minds and finding out which one's a rat, if they are, leave their asses there." Azurius turned to Pyro, locking eyes with him. "You're in charge of drawing the armour's attention." The man of fire gave a smirk, holding out his hand and materializing a fireball in it. "That mean I can go all out?" The room began getting slightly warmer before Azure said "No immolating houses, I want casualties to a minimum collateral damage. If you kill a soldier or two, then oh well, shit happens." "Awe..." the room began getting cooler again. "Vince." "Yo." "While Pyro's got their attention, knock out as many of them as you can. Use your curse to try and make them turn on each other, I haven't met many who can resist when you actually try to make them do stuff for you." "Got it." Vince's voice was deep, soothing, and dangerous sounding. It was that badass vibe accompanied by the curse of having mad swagg yo that made him so painfully irritating to be around, since it also meant he would be surrounded by women and sometimes men. Sepharian and Sterba stepped forward, the latter asking "What should we do?" "I want you both sticking together, I'm sending you with our friend (the old lady) here to make sure the resistance force stays alive." "Understood, I'll keep them healed." came from Sepharian's mouth. A gaze was turned to Aries who returned with a smile. "You're in charge of their mages." What Elaine should notice here was that thus far, Azurius assigned roles in pairs. But when Aries was given a task, she was given the task as a solo mission... One could question his faith in her, but the fact that Aries was famous among the other celestial spirits would also make one question the limits of her ability as well. "As for me, I'll be with Elaine to help her get past anything else they wanna throw at us. Aries, once you finish taking down the other mages rendezvous with us and keep 'that' active. I know it puts me in an uncomfortable position, but I'm perfectly fine with it. And lastly..." Azurius turned to the little boy quickly, pinning him to the ground and binding him with holy light. "You're staying here... little spy." The boy wriggled and screamed, trying to escape. "Destiny, I know you're listening through that door. Keep this runt under lock, he moves you kick his ass." "Yes sir!" a muffled voice called through the closed door. "Thanks for the heads up Sybil." Sybil nodded with a light smile. "Everyone understands their role in this mission?" The spirits all sounded off in unison "Sir!" "H- hey Az... what will I do?" "The hell kind of dumbass question is that? You stay by my side, just like always." Suriel seemed to glow slightly as a smile appeared on her face. "You didn't tell me my part, so I-" "-You've been at my side for over a million years, at this point I don't need to tell you your place." Suriel let off a giggle before firing a smile in his direction "Fair enough." "Alright, Elaine we move out on your command." he said while giving the woman a firm expression. "Umm... I'm going to open a telepathic communication line between us. It may sting for a minute or two, but I promise you'll get used to it." Sybil said, before opening the channel. The old woman shot the boy an angry look, but didn't bother to scold him properly since she had work to do. WORDS Out of ---- |

Re: Vacation Time!
Elaine watched as he gave all his spirits and soldiers tasks. It was interesting because she had never seen this side of him, it was the side that Suriel and the rest of them were probably the most comfortable with but to her, this was all new. She had never seen him be an actual general and yet here he was, ordering his friends to her own whim which made her feel guilty. She hadn't meant to drag everyone into this trouble and know, instead of enjoying a nice vacation, they were stuck freeing her island out of her own spite. She sighed and pushed her hair out of her face even though there was none there; a nervous habit perhaps.
She was going to war with the place she had once called home. She was going to war with the people she once called family. People who she grew up with. Some of which she loved. Some of which who raised her. She gripped the table, eyes slightly widened and hands shaking lightly; fingers tapping the the edge of the table. What was she doing? She couldn't do this. She wasn't a fighter. She was just a little girl playing pretend.
But she couldn't let them know that. She couldn't let them know that she was afraid. She swallowed her fear and stepped back from the table. " Requip. Heavens' Armour." She muttered; it was a risky move, but was needed in this situation. The black mark consumed her left arm completely, ending just after her chin in tiny spirals along her cheek. Obviously it was glad to be put to some use again, she could already feel the immense power from it, clenching her fist she willed herself to control her form. The last time the island had seen this, had been the day she killed hundreds. Today, she was ready to kill only two.
She looked up at Azure giving him a soft smile, letting him know that she remained in control, she pulled him into a hug, standing on her tippy toes and pecking him on the lips, she moved away but stayed near his face for just a moment longer. "If it consumes me," she whispered in his ear, "kill me." She breathed, before stepping away and turning to the people in front of her.
"Let's head out. Now I'm on a time limit too."

Re: Vacation Time!
A zurius felt uneasy with her using the armour, getting ready to use the same method on her that she used on him to seal away the curse. However, he relaxed when he'd noticed a small smile accompanied by a look that implied confidence, letting him know that Elaine West was still in control. He gave no resistance to the hug, and then small kiss he received which only furthered the notion that she was in control. She made a request for him to kill her, but he gave no response, only kept in mind what Suriel had told him when about when he was taken over, and how Elaine saved him. However, the other weren't as confident in Elaine's ability to control the mark as Azurius was. He looked at them with a firm gaze, speaking with a commanding voice. "You heard the lady, move out!" Everyone in the room snapped to reality, sensing Azurius's confidence and using that as the basis for their own. Sybil and the Celestial Gatekeeper both vanished. Sepharian and Sterba took hold of the old maid, using their telepathic bond to find out where the organization was held. Azurius lead Aries, Elaine, Pyro, Suriel, and Vince to the balcony where two black birds were waiting like the one Azure summoned before, and one phoenix. "I'm guessing the song bird is mine?" Pyro asked, giving Azurius toothy grin, knowing the answer already. "Vince, stay behind Pyro. Do your best to not kill anyone, but don't go out of your way to keep them alive." "Right on brother." the deep, smooth voice said. Vince waited for Pyro to take off, letting some distance get between them before his bird took off. "Suriel, stick close to us. Aries, I want you in the front door." Aries nodded, taking off immediately and making a straight line for the front of the island. "So... how do we get there? I doubt you expect us to just fly there on our easily spotted wings..." Azurius grinned while placing his hand out over the balcony. "Open... Gate of Power." his voice was far more confident than it should have been. The reason why became apparent as the figure of a massive dragon began materializing before them. The dragon was pure black with small white dots, twinkling to mimic the appearance of the night sky. A pair of massive, silvery eyes locked with Azurius's with a deep, powerful voice being heard even though the dragon's mouth never moved. "You called to me?" "We've got a war to win. I'll need you to take us to the back of the battlefield, and then keep any guards you see busy." "A war waged against a single island is hardly a war at all." "This is a war to free those oppressed by narrow minded dictators, to protect freedom, to preserve balance. After this, we will need you to safeguard the island." "To live among humans, away from the celestial plane..." the dragon took in a deep breath as he thought. "Perhaps a new experience to bring meaning to my life... let us make haste young dragon." The dragon turned to a side, stretching his wing out to let Azure, Elaine, and Suriel board his back to fly to the island. WORDS Out of ---- |

Re: Vacation Time!
Elaine mounted the creature with Azurius and Suriel. When it took off she grabbed on to Azure, her armour equipped had easily allowed her to fly, but had decided to go with something the locals could guess was a large bird. Once they were over the island, the other teams dispatched; clearing the island of the locals as they headed towards the large building overlooking the main village. The creature had barely passed the over the building before Elaine tapped Azurius on the shoulder.
"Best if he doesn't land. People may see him." She commented, before letting go of Azure, giving him a beckoning motion with her hand and slid off the creature. Free falling towards the back on the castle. She extended her wings at the last moment and landed gracefully on the ground. Silently she looked around at the current situation, a small group of guards rounded the outer wall of the castle. She switched to her Kings Bow, releasing a burst of deep blue magic arrows, putting the guards to sleep. The colour of her armour shifted into black and deep blue instead of the usually white and gold.
If Suriel and Azure were to going her on the ground, she would beckon them towards a door that read Servants Entrance and push the door open from there she would grab one of the cloaks hanging near the furnace and throw it over herself, handing off the other two to Az and Suriel. If they would wait to join her she would enter alone and wait for them at the bottom of a long stone stair case.
"This will lead us to the main floor. The evac of the locals no doubt drew their attention. They'll send the guards out front and fortify themselves with the 14 on the upper east wing. There are a few escape routes through out the mansion, we can use them to get to the east, but we don't have much time." She explained, beginning her trek up the stairs. Once on the main floor she waited until the guards closed the main door, slipped past, beckoning Suriel and Azure to follow. She skitted down the main hall, the marble flooring made it hard to stay silent.
She then stopped in front of a large family portrait. In it were three people. A younger version of Elaine. Dull brown eyes, her hair swept up in an elegant bun, wearing a long sleeveless navy dress that ended just after her bust and fell to the floor. She was standing at the side of a chair which sat another woman. The same blonde hair, with light blue eyes and small doll like features; much like Elaine's. She had a small smile on her lips and was wearing a deep green long sleeved floor length gown. Her hair was loose and curled around her arms. Finally, a man stood behind them. Black hair and brown eyes, steely features, with one hand on the chair, the other on Elaine's shoulder. Dressed in all black as though he was attending a funeral.
Elaine stared at the portrait maybe a tad to long. But she had the feeling that something was missing, or someone maybe. She stared longer, before shaking her head and pulling open the portrait to reveal a secret passage way. "In here. Quickly."

Re: Vacation Time!
T he Celestial Dragon acknowledged Elaine's words, but informed her that he never had the intention of landing. Once they were over the drop zone, she had slid off and began her descent, the dragon angled its wings to turn itself upside down and allow Suriel and Azurius to fall. All three of them spread their wings, Azurius and Suriel adjusting theirs to let them stay behind Elaine in a 'V' formation consisting of just the three of them. Azure's wings were colored pure black with small white dots, a special ability of his that allowed him to change the color of the wings to whatever he pleased, courtesy to the Requisitions Office Angel. They landed in an astounding garden, one that rivaled those present back in heaven. But before the two angels could spend time to truly admire their surroundings Elaine had waved them over to a door labeled as a servant's entry point. When they got there, Elaine had stepped out with a pair of cloaks saying it was best that they put them on. Neither cared to argue with her, though both were pretty sure they were here to lay siege to the place which made going incognito a bit useless. Azure and Suriel followed her, pausing where she told them to, and then advancing on her order. She had informed them of the plan her father would use, reinforcing the front as well as sending the personal guard to the east wing, likely where he would be hiding with his mistress. 'Got it, we'll put the pressure on their front.' 'Moving to position.' the voices of Pyro and Vince came in, in that order. 'Advancing on specialized targets.' Aries's voice was heard afterwards. 'Evacuation of civilians approximately 67 percent complete. I've also passed several units dressed as soldiers awaiting a moment to strike.' The conversation started in everyone's head, like the best communication lacrima in existence. 'Those are with the resistance force.' 'The rest of us are heading up through the sewers. If anyone says "In the darkness we shine" be sure to not hurt them.' Sterba and Sepharian both said over the mental communication line. It was then that Elaine had stopped at a portrait of the family. She stared at the picture intently, as though it had started wavering her opinion. "You look beautiful, then and now." Azure said calmly while resting his hand on her shoulder. He removed it as she opened the portrait to reveal a passage, telling them to go in. Once inside, Suriel pulled the picture behind them and Azure told Elaine to hold for a moment. "In case you were planning to kill them, you don't have to. We can have them placed in prison, in heaven. If we lock them there, the only way they can return is with the order of someone equal to or above my rank and there's only two of those." he said, giving Elaine and alternative. "But if you absolutely think they need to die, then that's your choice. I'll strike them down if you tell me, or stand aside and let you do it if you wish." he added before gesturing for her to take point. --meanwhile-- Aries had dropped off on the roof, her outfit didn't help to blend, but the commotion below was just fine. She ran to an air shaft and jumped in, allowing herself to slide all the way, dropping through the ceiling and landing on the floor. She was somewhere around the middle from what she could guess, and all fourteen of her targets were in the east wing... Pyro's phoenix made a huge, bright red streak across the sky and he continuously shot off fire balls that erupted in brilliant colors, some forming shapes in the sky. Suddenly, the bird turned downwards, barreling towards the ground with more fire works behind it, passing the largest group of soldiers and continuing down the street. "Common to daddy suckers!" the voice merrily hollered as it whizzed past them. Vince was flying up high, waiting for the distraction to be complete. His plan was to use his curse to his advantage, and turn as many of the men to his side as possible. The Celestial Gate's Spirit continued moving entire masses at Sybil's order, ever so often sending two or three people back as Sybil pointed them out. The work on both sides was immense, with Sybil having to continuously link her mind with everyone and then sever the link to form a link with another. The gate spirit had to constantly open the gate and close it, transporting people to and from at a rapid pace to keep them out of the line of fire, or put them back in it. Sterba and Sepharian had stuck together, still moving through the sewers to get everyone in their places. Once the time had come, the two hundred brave souls would burst from the man holes in the streets and assist the soldiers who'd joined Vince's side. WORDS Out of ---- |

Re: Vacation Time!
Elaine sighed, taking a look around, there were two paths and she had to close her eyes to remember which exactly lead where. She chose the one on the right and started to walk down it. "Kill them? No. They're idiots. They have no idea how to do anything good with their lives, and jailing them? No. That won't work either. They need to see, see all the pain and suffering they caused these people. I need to show them change. And if that doesn't work;" She turned and smirked, "There's always gentle persuasion."She laughed and continued down the path, before coming to another door, with a brief shove, she moved it, beckoning the others to follow.
They stood in a pure white room, what looked like a ballroom; trimmed in gold, a large piano in the corner, a few chairs, and large patio windows. Elaine stuck her tongue out at all the memories it brought back. She slipped off her cloak, giving the 'ok' to Azure and Suriel to do the same. She turned to the large doors in front of them; but they were blown open. Elaine, being tiny, was blown back; but landing on her feet in a graceful backflip. She would hope the others were okay, looking to see if they were injured. If they were she would run to their side, if they were okay, she'd hold her ground.
Two men emerged from the dust of the blast one with orange, blond hair and the there with dark green hair, holding a book. Elaine smiled and stood up, extending her arms and doing a mock-bow. "Akio~! Hisao~! To what do I owe the pleasure of meeting my two favourite guards in my least favourite place~?" She chimed, completely against her shy and determined nature. In the sense she was almost acting childish.
The Mage with the orange hair, Akio, smiled. "My Lady! My beautiful Lady Elaine. Haven't you grown~? Who knew that the little brat grew up to be an outlaw, come back to kill us all then?" The man asked. His extended his hands and flame burst at his finger tips. Elaine's smile dropped almost immediately, she extended her hand as well, and her bow appeared, arrows strapped on her back. "And what's this~? He asked, looking over to Azurius and Suriel, Elaine crouched low, ready to attack, "Brought the pity party with you? That's pathetic Eli. Really. That's the best you can do? Burn the village to the ground in a fit of rage? Isn't that a little, passeé? And what's on your face? That ugly thing is still there?" He teased. Then, with dizzying speed, he shot forward. Planting his fist in her stomach before she could react and sending her flying into the opposite wall.
Meeting her there Akio, threw her to the floor, creating a crater. Standing to her side he grinned. She pushed herself up, on her hands and knees. "The difference between then, and now. Is that I have a lot more control!" She shot up at almost the same speed; giving him a swift roundhouse to the chest, sending him flying through the doors he came through. She gave a sweet look to Azurius and Suriel, "You can deal with Hisao how you like. Be careful, he can be quite tricky. Get the book and he can't use the magic. Its puppet, by the way. So watch the strings." She gave a quick wink, extended her wings then shot forward into the next room where she had sent Akio.

Re: Vacation Time!
T here was a noticeably amount of happiness in her tone, the fact that the marks were taking her over was apparent int hat she actually seemed happy. The standard version of herself became less and less apparent when a pair of men appeared and she resorted to arrogant sarcasm, something Elaine West never did. 'Once this is over, you know what has to be done...' Suriel said to Azurius using their telepathic bond. Azure didn't respond, Suriel simply knew that he was in agreeing with her. Now, before the two angels a man stood who used magic that required the use of fine threads that Azurius couldn't see at all. In his own wisdom, Azure knew he was trapped, that the threads were already surrounding him and all this... Hisao needed to do was flick a wrist. "What's the matter, not going to attack?" the opponent asked, his voice didn't hint at arrogance, but rather curiosity. It was obvious from that question that the man was accustomed to fools attacking this place, beings who thought little of the man and didn't anticipate the possibility that they were already dead. "I have no reason to move from this spot, and many reasons to stay put." "Oh?" Hisao's eyebrow raised at Azurius's reply.Several orbs of light shot out, launching themselves at Azurius a surrounding him. The light reflected off small hairs that were all around him, threatening to turn Azurius into sliced ham had he chose to move. "See. Many reasons to stay put." "I'll have to apologize, I thought you were a less intelligent fighter. I assume you took Lady West's words to heart then..." Azurius nodded at the man, Hisao's expression slightly diminishing to that of minor pain. Azurius's eyebrow raised and a small smirk came across his face as a lit cigar appeared in his hand. "Are you seriously taking a smoke break!?" "Yeah, why not?" "Are you underestimating me!?" "Not at all... it's actually the opposite." "Huh?" "If you were a lesser man you would have already killed me, but since I haven't attacked you didn't. Am I right?" "Well... yes. I detest killing for sport, so I let my opponent make the first move." "Can I be straight with you?" "Sure?" "You don't come across as a combat type. You look like a good library is your fancy, and you're only doing this so you can go back to that library. What's your story?" "I'm sure Lady West told you that mages are unwelcome here. The only way for me to stay alive is to serve the head family." "So are you loyal to them?" "Of course I am, they take good care of me!" "Alright then, plan A got ruined. Then how about a small wager..." Hisao's expression changed to interest, his instincts telling him to take a gamble. "Oh?" "You win, Suriel becomes your servant. I win, you abandon the West family and join my guild." "Your... guild?" "Lamia Scale, a guild devoted to knowledge. Our library is very extensive, and magic is welcome at all times. There is no fee for learning, and you won't have to fight if you don't want to." "I see... I'll accept your wager, but I won't g-" Hisao paused, watching as a wolf jumped out from the wall behind him. He stepped aside, eyes wide open in shock at the phenomenon, his fingers twitched and moved several strands to the creature and cutting it open, shadows erupted from its death. "Oops, I missed." "But... You're a requip user, and a celestial summoner!" "Rule number one of war, master all forms of combat if you're able to." "W-war!?" Hisao's eyes narrowed on Azurius, locking with the battle hardened golden orbs and realizing exactly what he got himself into upon entering the room. Azurius moved his now safe arm, holding the cigar up and smiling. "Azurius Elijah Tade, General to over half of Heaven's best fighters... Nice to meet ya." The cigar was placed between his lips, the tip turning bright red as Azure took a draw while snapping his fingers. Three female looking shadows rose from the floor causing Hisao to take a small step back. "You see, when I became a member of the holy army I had to learn to deal with not having my celestial spirits with me... So I learned to create, and that became my personal magic." The three girls charged at Hisao, phasing straight through his strands and reaching him personally in seconds. The strands vanished, the man opening the book and pulling out a pair of swords that was used to block the incoming attacks. The shadow girls were persistent in their attacks, showing no signs of letting up ad constantly keeping Hisao blocking. It was something Azurius had anticipated when it came to powerful magic like puppet/string magic... you can't do much when your attached to the strings. So in order to defend yourself from close attacks you had to adapt a different method. Because of this, Hisao was no longer in a position of power... at least, not against Azure. WORDS Out of ---- |

Re: Vacation Time!
Elaine was busy in the other room, She and Akio were clashing swords, or, magic. Elaine was bringing everything she had to the table out of pure unbridled rage, sword after sword she clashed against the flames that he shot at her; time after time some swords were pushed away from her, flying into the wall behind her, some were melted were she stood. All this did was make her angrier. The mark grew on her face, swallowing up her other eye, turning this one gold.
"Face it my Lady, you can't beat me.....you are nothing more than the little girl you were years ago."The older Mage laughed, sending a spiral of flames towards her. She extended her wings and shot up, summoning her King's Bow. She drew it back and a large white magic arrow. When she fired it, it split into dozens of smaller arrows, unable to make the fire Mage move anywhere else. The arrows pierced their way through Akio and sticking him to the far wall.
Elaine landed, walking forward as the mark consumed just that much more of her body; taking her other arm and slowly growing up her leg. She stuck her arm out and a large broad sword, bigger than her body, she tipped the sword forward at his throat. "I....should kill you...." She hissed. Though her voice sounded distant, echoing slightly, like there was a hint of a voice that wasn't her own.
"You can't kill me. You don't have the guts to. You couldn't control it then, you can't do it now." Akio laughed, spitting out blood on to his shirt. Elaine smiled lightly, all emotion from her eyes gone. She drew her arm back and brought it down stopping before it hit him. Her arm was shaking slightly, battling herself as to if she should finish the hit or throw her weapon aside.
Kill him.
I-I won't!
Do it!!
"No!!!!" Elaine screamed. She threw her weapon away, it exploded into tiny light fragments as she picked up Akio by the front of his shirt and threw him back into the room where Azurius was battling. When she walked through the door Az would see her almost completely covered in her black mark. She'd give him a brief look before doubling over, coughing up a black blood-like substance over the marble floor.
