    Job Title: En El Nombre del Padre

    Rank: B

    Solo Word Count: 3,500 words

    Group Word Count: 7,000 words

    Additional Requirements: Maximum of four mages. One time only. Must defeat or avoid at least three groups of enemies.

    Job Location: Minstrel

    Job Description: Ferdinand Ibáñez, a high ranking official in an international religious organization, is visiting Minstrel to deliver an oral presentation of an encyclical written by one of his fellow Abbots to the local clergy, as well as a few select members of Minstrel’s government. For whatever reason, your character is there to either (a)gain an audience with, or (b) confront and defeat, the Father Ibáñez. How you go about doing this is up to you, but keep in mind that different ends result in different rewards.

    Enemies:

    Weak: City Police x15 (C-rank)- Although they have gun magic and K-9 units at their disposal, the city police are easiest of the enemies to get around without a fight. Should you choose to fight them off, each one takes two hits of C-rank damage to fight off; their magic deals C-rank damage; police dogs deal D-rank damage with their bites, if present.

    Normal: Minstrel’s Musketeers x10 (B)- The Musketeers of Minstrel are much harder to fight off than the city police, but are only a bit more difficult to avoid fighting. Their swords deal the equivalent of a strong weapon at B-rank, while their spells deal full B-rank damage. Each one takes five hits of B-rank damage to defeat.

    Strong: Protectores del Clero x2 (B+)- Father Ibáñez’s personal body guards, courtesy of the church. Unless you have a written summons to see the Abbot, chances are you are going to have to either fight or sneak past them to get to him. They are most often found in pairs, and have a variety of spells at their disposal, as well as their swords. Their spells deal B-rank damage, and their swords deal A-rank melee damage, making them quite a force to be dealt with. It takes ten hits of B-rank or twenty hits of C-rank damage to defeat one of them.

    Boss: Father Ibáñez (A+)- Contrary to his appearance, Father Ibáñez is a powerful mage, and one who does not take invasions of his privacy lightly. Should the player choose to  battle him, he has several attacks available to him, most of them related to light and holy magic. Instead of dodging attacks, he will simply block them with a shield and attack from behind—the shield takes the equivalent of two A-rank attacks to, and his projectile spells deal A-rank damage. Occasionally, he will curse a player for full D-rank damage per post for five posts. Father Ibáñez takes 25 hits of B-rank damage to subdue. If the player(s) have defeated more than two previous groups of enemies, this fight is not optional.

    Reward: 15,000 jewels regardless of the ending.
    Defeating the Abbot and at least two of the three groups of enemies earns each player a strong weapon;
    Gaining an audience with the Abbot and avoiding or negotiating with two out of three groups of enemies earns each player a strong armor or item.
