Slay and Decay: Strange Vulcan Edition [Job/Private/Shuhei]

Strange Vulcans: Part One:

The Spooky Forest: An eternally dark, scary, and mysterious landscape, home to the most insane, mindless, and torturous fiends in Ishgar- let alone Fiore, specifically. It was surprisingly befitting for the embodiment of death to be here, and furthermore ironic for the same individual to be the hero of this madness. This madness, you see, was the arrival of Vulcans. Oftentimes, Vulcans came from landscapes more towards atmospheres where the sun rose, and where they could pester the legal side; not here. Incidents such as this one always seemed to take Alito's interest- so much, in fact, that the boy decided to commit to the Vulcans' "departure", so to speak. However, it was not just the presence of Vulcans that was strange.

In addition to the sudden appearance of Vulcans lately were villages run by the innocent. These innocent groups clearly decided to make their territory in an inappropriate environment as the Spooky Forest was rumoured to be a pathway towards illegal guilds. Perhaps the introduction of such a mistake was also the introduction of these beasts deciding to mark their own territory in a new area, as well. Albeit, Alito felt he had nothing to worry about. His magic was advantageous towards creatures such as Vulcans, though unfortunately to an extent where death would be the only consequence. Thankfully, however, ending the lives of these threats meant no harm to the task at hand. In preparation of this inevitable challenge, Alito released his dark aura, which immediately rid of surrounding trees upon its upbringing. "Those who threaten humanity always perish." Alito began, "To perish is to die, while death is the only punishment I grant."

While Alito wanted to approach these enemies as soon as possible, he needed to take note of a scroll given to him with the details of the villages' whereabouts. "To whomever has chosen to take this task, do not worry. After all, this is a two person task." Alito was shocked; a sensation he had not felt in a while. Below, Alito found a name beneath his own, though that name was scratched, for some reason- most likely for confidentiality. Alito laughed. "These surprises never fail to amuse me!" Alito replied, "The embodiment of death and an unknown identity. How interesting." With this, Alito wrapped the scroll back up, tied it to keep safe, and slipped it into his jacket. Who would this companion of Alito's be? He was about to find out.

"It's a shame this job couldn't be any nearer to a tavern, I'd kill for a drink." Alito heard these words, and smirked. He could tell from this statement alone that this companion of his would definitely not be hard to tolerate, but as he heard that voice, he sensed something immeasurably powerful within. "Oh that's right, I brought my own!" Emphasis, to add. If Alito could make a quick prediction, he assumed from the voice's seemingly bright attitude that he came from the legal side. He, meaning it was also clear that the voice was masculine, by the way. Dark skin, white hair and emerald eyes; these were the primary features that- for now- identified who Alito would be accompanied with. To be honest, but not prejudice, the man's appearance did differ highly from most Alito had seen. In fact, his appearance made it seem as though the man originated from much hotter environments than even Fiore, in general- Ishgar too, perhaps. "Alito Kizoku." The child of Ankhseram introduced plainly, his facial gestures however still welcoming to the new guy in the Spooky Forest. Just as he suddenly felt a sense in unbelievable magic power from the other male, Alito wondered if his companion could sense his own- and if so, see to it that the nature of Alito's magic was indeed dark.

"Always be prepared, indeed." Alito added, "Of course, that does lead me to asking you if you are also prepared in dealing with numerous, notably giant threats?" Another smirk rose on Alito's lips in this instance. Though his partner for this job seemed confident enough already, the boy wanted to assure he would understand all consequences that could come from partaking in this task. On the contrary, it was not like he had much of a choice now. It was more than just the dangers written in the scroll that resided in this environment, hence the adjective [I]spooky[I] in "Spooky Forest". Once Alito's new friend approached him, he began to proceed towards the designated town for this mission. Truthfully, it was exciting even to a child of death to conquer such pests as the Vulcans. They always packed a punch, and no matter how strong their enemy, the Vulcans always looked eager to fight, regardless. That, and the Vulcans always presented themselves stronger throughout their existence here in Fiore. A third grin generated from these thoughts, which made Alito turn back to his companion.

"Ready?" Alito asked with a smile, his fist offered out for the other to bump- a result of his excitement.

To have his name judged as "odd." Quite a statement, was it not? To many, this fellow male's statement could be deemed an insult, but to Alito, well, the boy found it interesting. Never had the boy been commented on his name, you see. However, it was not just his name that sounded "odd", so to speak. "Kohei." Alito responded, "If I may, I'd say your name is quite the unique one, as well." It was convenient, actually. A rather peculiar name for a rather peculiar force the child of Ankhseram had sensed within the man. It was bright, just as the white-haired male's smile reflected. Again, Alito could not help but think if this person had already sensed some sort of power within him, as well. "In any case, I shall take you up on your proposal." Alito continued, "There is much more to this task than giant beasts, you see. Salvation of the people is our main priority." A grin appeared on Alito's face shortly after this had been said. He could not recall a time when he had saved, or had been asked to save someone before. This case was especial, as it involved the lives of numerous people instead of just one. These Vulcans were profiled as more ferocious and devastating to the average human. Meanwhile, it had become clear to Alito in the past that these creatures could sense magic, sometimes.

"Let us proceed to the town." Alito declared. It was going to be a bit of a walk, so Alito wondered if a small talk was appropriate. This guy seemed talkative, anyway (at least compared to Alito), so the boy figured there was no problem with this, whatsoever. "In a guild?" Alito asked along the way, "Your behaviour reminds me of someone from the legal side, believe it or not. Mind you, your personality is entertaining." In the present day, such a comment could be measured as "strange", but to an ancient being such as Alito, who had lived for about four or five centuries now, this was still a decent compliment. So far, there was complete silence where the two were located, though from sightings ahead, the child of Ankhseram could tell the two were also approaching danger. On the bright side, there was yet to be any terrifying or miserable noises ahead, so everyone involved to save in this job must have been safe currently. As much as Alito could see this other male as being a great assistant, he could not help but be suspicious a bit. This comrade seemed very nice, after all, which made Alito wonder if there was a possibility that he was hiding something. Additionally, if he could already sense the darkness within Alito, Alito wondered what Kohei truly thought about him. In other words, while Kohei's outer personality seemed amusing, his inner and true personality was surely something to question. To conclude, it would take much more time throughout this mission for Alito to learn enough about Kohei to either like or dislike the guy as a friend and/or acquaintance.

This Kohei character sure was interesting. That "blu" sound Alito had heard slip from the other male's mouth- it must have related to Blue Pegasus. On the contrary, the boy could have simply been to Blue Pegasus recently- perhaps for a visit or something- thus his mindset was focused on that guild rather than his own. Then again, Alito began to think about if he had seen this face before. Surely he had, but from where? For some reason, Alito could picture this man as a famous figure, but why? Whatever. Alito did not want to waste his time deciphering his teammate's story while the two had other matters to attend to.

Soon after this moment of pondering, it seemed Alito was lucky enough to have someone alongside him with good eyes. Indeed, the village had been spotted. Alito watched as, for some reason, Kohei chose to head to the village quite urgently. From the looks of things, however, the state of this village was still finer than expected, so what was the big deal? Certainly, Alito was confused.Looking around, Alito considered Kohei's question well. While this village was in a good state, it was profiled as if danger were expected to arrive the moment the two would set foot here. What exactly was going on? Alito investigated further, and realized that there were no people here. "This is the village, but we're at a dead end." Alito commented, "Either we have failed, or the people we are meant to protect are hiding. That, or they're already dead; another failure." Alito did not mean to sound pessimistic, but this was legitimately the issue, indeed. No. Alito had to take the optimistic path, and hope that people here were still alive...somewhere.

"We're going to have search further." Alito advised, "My thoughts tell me that the trouble has already arrived, and scared these people off. We're too early to have already lost the task assigned to us, which leads me to another conclusion." Alito paused, pacing the area a final time before he caught something peculiar in the distance. From afar, and in the most silent sense, Alito could hear laughter somewhere. "Kohei, it seems they've been waiting for us." Alito remarked, "Clearly, they don't think too highly of us." A dark aura encircled Alito as his pace around the village increased drastically. He hated being underestimated. One of his age, reputation, and overall status could not set such a thing aside.
