Well, Bully for You. [Solo]

Mathias trod through the park, his black sandals heavily plopping on the grass as he meandered past the shrubs. That kid had scrounged up every measly jewel he had to be rid of some pre-teen tyrant, so his honor depended on a successful resolution. Still, he'd never thought of himself frightening enough to pull off a job like this. True, he could be a little gruff at times, but surely everyone could see a wolf pup as ten times more ferocious than him. Reaching back to his neck, he scratched at his hairline as his expression grew more disheartened by the second. What am I? Some sort of oaf? His lip lines sank by the second and his crackly-looking face became more pronounced. Guess I have to do my best, he mused as his eyebrows furrowed, complimenting his creased complexion. His footsteps grew heavy and trudging as he came upon the clearing indicated in the flyer.

There, at the edge of a narrow, trickling stream, the twelve-year-old aggressor crouched, casually plucking worms from the murk. Her head blazed with frizzy orange hair, which was tied into an even frizzier bun atop her head. She was athletic in build, and the flare in her eyes suggested such a primal short temper that it truly wacked with Mathias' zen. As he observed the demon child pluck the wriggling creatures from the ground and rip them in two, he shuddered. The look on her face was quite unnerving when she casually giggled as the two limbs sought each other out. This should be freakin' fantastic. Mathias snorted.

"Real class act we've got here," he muttered while exiting the bush sanctuary where he had shrouded himself. He was near shocked at the snarky tone that escaped his lips, but the fiery halfling had frankly pissed him off. "Toying with life of all kinds, hmm? What could could possibly get out of that? Some sort of high? A god complex?" His tone grew more biting by the breath.

The devil had fallen back by now, blatantly startled by the nature nut's presence. Boots (two sizes two big and spattered with river gunk) flew as her posterior toppled into the soggy ground. A flickering strand of her mane flopped not-so-gracefully over her nose.

"What're you getting at?" she barked, attempting to smear the mud from her arse.
"I'm saying you're infuriating and you need some help." Mathias crossed his hand into his pocket depths and pulled out the victim's ad. "See this? This is an arrest warrant for a tyrant such as yourself. There's a bounty on your head, li'l miss, placed by the highest authority this side of that puddle you're sitting in." He aimlessly picked at a small scab on his left shoulder, severely uncomfortable with his awkward cowboy performance. "Listen, miss. Just please stop buggin' kids around here, or I'm gonna get real upset about it.”

The aggressor gawked at him for a spit second, surely baffled by his ever-changing presence, before snickering. "This some kinda joke? What are you even?" She pointed at him, jeering. "Your face is really screwed up, man. But those pink tattoos? No one's ever going to take you seriously."

Mathias' expression shrank, retreating. He so wanted to be home drinking tea rather than confronting this nasty little child. Anyway, she may be right in that no one could ever see him as intimidating. No, no. I need to do this for that kid. His eyes flicked behind the girl for a moment. Inhaling, he puffed up his chest a bit and marched forward, towering over the wicked spawn.

"No. You're gonna listen to me now." His large fists reached toward the girl's armpits. She struggled, kicking at his shins and shouting every profanity boiling from her twisted little mind. Mathias didn't give a flying flip about the potential bruises as he hoisted her upward, towed her forward, and hung her, flailing, on the protruding knob of a nearby tree. The loose cloth at the top of her sweater stretched as she bounced angrily, her words bouncing off Mathias' ears.

Mathias was rather amused with the sight before him and almost cracked into a smile before remembering to be professional. I am a professional, indeed. His eyes shone bright before reaching into his side pocket and bringing forth a half-full bottle of opaque white liquid. Tossing it between his palms he brought his face in front of the girl, who was still flailing in all directions shouting "pervert" and whatnot.

"Shh shh shh. I'll let you in on a secret." He traced his jawline where the black scar stretched. "I got this by accident, when I drank a certain potion. A potion I just so happen to have with me." After swirling the bottle a little, he placed it centered between the girl's eyes. "Unless you want to spend your whole life without ever knowing love's first kiss or frightening children, you'll listen here. You'll not bother anyone again, or I'll come back to be sure this liquid cracks your toes so far they'll break off." Mathias intensified his gaze for dramatic effect, the deep circles beneath his eyes near echoing. "Don't talk. Just nod if you get it."

The girl had fixated her wide-eyed gaze on the bottle and motioned her head in a bobbing motion.
"Good! Thanks!" Mathias grinned wide and placed the bottle on his hip. With his left hand he reached over to boop her nose. "I'll just leave you hangin' here to mull it over a bit, mmkay?" Tottering away, he heard the frustrated shouts from behind but didn't give a damn as he rounded the corner while whistling. Mathias broke into a wide smile and took a swig of warm lemonade as he strolled. Relieved his trite mission was complete, he opted to stop by the young boy's place to break the good news — surely he'd be thrilled.
