A-Another Human? (Private/Kayla)

There he was, alone once again in the guild hall. Well, alone in a sense, there were many people at the hall, but only the S ranked mages and higher were allowed on the second floor. Currently, that was him and Kakuma, the rest were forbidden to go up here and will face severe consequences if they did. Understandable, it was like a reward for those who worked so hard to be so high. Then again, Elyx has heard of rumors of possibly the Guild Aces being able to be up here, but the young man has been so far from the guild for so long hat he was unable to confirm this. 100 Year jobs were not given their title for no reason, but it was definitely worth it. His strength, both physical and mental, have been increased heavily. Now he was a lot more calm and collected than he used to be in the past. A new appreciation for life has been shown, since his own was almost brutally stripped away from him. His right elbow laid on the railing of the second floor, and his right cheek would press itself against the palm of his hand. They are all so young in the sense of magic. But they will get there soon, and they will have to do the same thing in order to go further. The young mag thought to himself while smiling, watching some teams get excited over simply 2000 jewels on an easy D rank job. Such ambition, they will be where he was in no time with that sort of attitude. And at their maximum potential, they will make the whole guild a force to be reckoned with. Oh how he could not wait for that day.

The first floor of the guild was too noisy for Kayla. Blue lightning had flickered across her fingers, as she slumped against a wall trying to find a quiet place just so she could think. Closing her eyes she had stuffed her hands into her pockets only for them to be snapped open when she had heard very obnoxious giggling. Her eyes had rolled in annoyance and she glanced up at the steps where no one was allowed to go except for S class mages. Giving it a thought Kayla didn't care much, Black Rose didn't have much S-Class mages in the first place. Only a few came to mind and she was pretty sure that he had gone too a 10 year job or some shit like that. Making sure no one was around Kayla had walked up the stairs too the second story and was surprised too see what she saw. It was much quieter then the first story of corse but looked much nicer and there was also nobody around..

Kayla Leaned back against a wall blue lights flickering in the air around her, blinking when she had noticed someone else on the floor. 'fuck' it was him but Kayla had thought he was on some sort of job for another 4 years or something. Well it wasn't like she could run or anything, Elyx would obviously notice her then. Instead she said nothing and only stared at him giving him a rather cold glare."......"

Sudden blue lights flickered on the second floor without his consent, weird. Using his "Natural Detection" ability, he would detect all nearby magic flows. If it was heavier than his, it was Kakuma, and he would drop it. But as he located it, he found that it was much lower than his, much less than an Ace was supposed to have. Seems like someone is not going to play by the rules. He said to himself, but his smile was still there. It was something entertaining for him to do. Turning his head to the side, he'd see the face of the one who came to the top, she acted like she was trying to intimidate him. It was a good attempt, but compared to demons and angels, this was nothing. How to approach her was the question. It was clear that she would not go downstairs so willingly, so casual kindness would not work. Even better, it seemed like she was trying to challenge him, maybe she can have a small glimpse of his abilities.

His body would blur, activating his "Quickstep" ability, which increases his speed for a small moment that makes him move anywhere. It might as well have been teleportation, because no one has seen him actually travel to his destination. Now he'd be behind her with a smile on his face, a safe ten meters away. And what are you doing here? Do you plan to claim to be an Ace? Maybe even an S ranked mage? Possibly Kakuma? Or are you here merely out of sheer disobedience.

Once Elyx had returned the gaze Kayla found it rather uncomfortable too keep staring at him but she didn't want to seem like some wimp. The brunette had let out a scoff, it seemed like he was taunting her but she wasn't falling for it. Blue lightning had crackled around Kayla becoming more comfortable in this hallway no way was she going to leave, if he wanted her to leave he'd have to make her. "Your not going to make me lea--" She was cut off when he had vanished suddenly a bit alarmed Kayla had glanced around her eyes slightly widening when Elyx had came up behind her. She glared at him mocking his stupid smile on his face, although truthfully Kayla was very impressed she didn't even see him move an inch before he teleported. This was what an S-class mage is! Clearing her throat Kayla had cocked her head backwards blue lightning flowing from her fingers. "I guess you can say I came up here because well.. I dont care much for the rules."

Lightning swarmed around her, showing threat being sent to him, which did not throw him off. When he sensed her magic, it was not even that of a beginning Ace. Maybe she has some speed for her level, but there was a huge difference between being above your level, and taking on someone way above your level. He'd chuckle as the lightning crackled, showing that her bluff was not getting to him. Gladly accepting her offer, his right hand crossed his side to pull out Bound Iris, his best blade. As an Ace, he had to put her downstairs, and physical discipline was allowed if words would not get through, which turned out to be the case. The rules were set by Kakuma for a reason. If you want to know what that reason is, ask her. He explained, as the magnificent blade had been revealed, which he then held up in a defensive stance. But if you continue this act, then it is I who you answer to. His aura bean to reveal in a violent wind that spread across the second floor, his ability being "Champion Flow". His spiky brown hair merely swayed gently with the violence of the winds, showing how used to this sort of thing he was. It was supposed to threaten his opponent, but he was not going to make the first attempt strike. A final chance was being given to her, she could go downstairs right now, and they did not have to fight. But if she did dare attack, he'll definitely retaliate, holding back of course. His goal is not to kill her after all.

Was she sure that she really wanted to mess with him? Kayla knew Lexa was a mage here probably the same rank as Elyx but Kayla wasn't even able to hit Lexa once during training. Stepping a little back Kayla had raised an eyebrow she felt less confident fighting Elyx although he seemed to have no serious intent to harm her more like an intent to teach her a lesson she was still sure it'd hurt like hell. Giving him a small chuckle and giving him a soft punch on his shoulder. "Hahahaha.. I was only kidding with you Elyx." Although she didn't like listening to rules what was the point of her being here if she didnt listen to them. It had looked like Elyx wanted to show off a little more but Kayla did another laugh. "Heeeey calm your energy I said im kidding." But she did want to chill here a little talk with Elyx, she was pretty sure that they were the only two humans in the guild.

A sudden change of heart, that was to be expected with some time to actually think about it. He would not hold it against her, that was the point of that warning, so she would back down. No one had to know if she kept calm. This person was playing it off as if they were suddenly friends, daring enough to softly punch him on the shoulder. However, this would not force him to drop the "Champion Flow" effect that he had. Wise choice. The young man commented as he placed the blade back in its sheathe. There was not much reason for her to be here, so he would have to escort her down if not given any reason to stay up. All right, go down then. I'll gladly escort you if you'd like me to, but you have to be down there regardless. He explained, now placing his hands in his pockets as the winds continued to blow on only the second floor. Admittedly, he was very much interested to hear her answer to the explanation.

Kayla didnt want to leave but of corse Elyx would make her. It this was Lexa she would always be happy that Kayla came up here if only she was still at Blackrose. It was pretty weird Elyx was about the same age as she was and he had this much power. How did he even get this power from training hard or was he even human? There wasnt much humans at Blackrose she only knew of herself. "I guess you can" Kayla had said with a bit of an eyeroll although she wanted to stay put for a few minutes. "First let me ask you this." Kayla had said raising her eyebrow because of suspicion. "Are you human?"

She was merely a child, or at least mentally. Physically, she seemed like she was just entering the stage where she will soon grow into a young lady. As for Elyx, he was almost a full grown adult, soon about to turn nineteen. That was besides the point however, her eyeroll was to be expected at her age, since she did seem to be rebellious. However, there was nothing she could do, which she clearly saw, and thus agreed with him. Before that, he was then asked a simple question, one that really could not hurt anyone. Tilting his head to the side, he was wondering why she would care. If she were an animal like the rest of the guild, she was most likely trying to pick him out of the group. But... What if she were human as well? If that were the case, she was the odd one out of every group in the guild. It was easy for him to relate, Kaku, his guildmaster, Iza, his girlfriend, it was not really easy to find any humans in his guild. Maybe that is why he spends so much time elsewhere? It somewhat made sense, since he often felt left out, and he was an Ace for crying out loud. So for her to be a human with her power, that must have been awful. Yes, I am human. And Yeah, I'm rare, I know, don't rub it in. He'd answer before placing his hands up to cross them. And why do you ask, or care?

She couldn't believe it at first. Someone like him a human? In what world. She didn't say any of her thoughts because she knew that they were rude and saying that to a s-classed mage wasn't a very smart idea. Kayla's eyebrow rose when Elyx had called himself 'rare' slightly scoffing at his wording before answering his question. "Im also a human, i thought i was the only one in this guild." Although since she found out that he was also a human.. probably she figured it would be worth it to be his friend or something. Since they did seem to be the only humans around here at least in black rose.. Lightning had crackled at her fingertips mentioning her name because Elyx had forgotten to ask her. "The name is Kayla."

It was revealed that she too was a human, causing him to tilt his head to the side. Something like this was beyond rare, him meeting a human in Black Rose. Out of all the possible humans however, it had to be one with quite the temper, one that matched that of a spoiled child who tried to get anything they want regardless of the limitations. I guess that makes the both of us. He replied to her first statement as his back turned to face her, his head tilted upwards to look at the ceiling. It was him thinking, lost in his thoughts, not quite sure how to feel. Many options were valid, excited that another person was able to relate to him, disappointed that it had to be one like this that he ended up meeting. Regardless though, they were both a rare breed in the guild, they should at least stick together. And he has broken rules so many times anyways... Maybe just this once... Until he then her the crackling of lightning as she introduced herself. Whoops, nevermind then. Her name turned out to be Kayla, a name he has definitely not heard from in the guild. And the name is Elyx, Ace of Leaves in Black Rose. He explained before addressing the lightning. I assume you intend to use that lightning?
