The sun hung over Hargeon that day like a vulture desperate for food the heat alone was enough to make Nevermore or as she was going by at the time Raven seek shelter inside a nearby bar her black dress stuck to her skin from the sweat as she panted entering the bar aptly named, "The Black Mare." Yet even as she entered her long golden hair flowing down her back and a slight purse to her lips that would make any man fall to her feet begging she could feel another need at the back of her unstable mind. For even though she could function and act among humans her main species and creations term would be Demon one that was made to devour souls. It is due to this fact her creators gave her the need and hunger to devour souls so they might use them for their own purposes; however, as a fail safe in case Nevermore were to ever stop eating souls they put a small tinge in her brain that caused a frenzy of hungering violence should she go for more than a week without souls and this was her last straw.
What some might interpret as a woman looking for a partner to have their way with was instead in reality Nevermore slowly looking for a potential meal she knew that her time in Sabertooth was meant to help her straighten her life out. That dream was being put on hold now for she had been unable to acquire anything good in the souls area and her own disgust with animal souls meant she had been starving for quite some time but it was here in the bar all that hunger began to well. Before anyone could blink her skin would begin to sizzle and bubble the hunger taking over as she could no longer in this building filled with souls and food contain her own frenzy and lust for souls. As she stood in the middle one man a larger but baby-faced man wielding what looked to be a large iron war-hammer ran over to help. His life was sadly short as her hand drove through his chest a beating heart in her hand as she crushed it and ate the soul right from him a twisted and dark laugh ringing through the bar as everyone realized what was happening.
With each scream of the patrons and even the owner of the bar the ran from the bar into the scorching heat as her own mind began to scorch her looking melting away as the dress turned to ash and black liquid poured from her scalp turning her hair black as night and soon formed a small crown on her head made from some form of black bone like material. As her appearance slowly took shape with the same bone like armor covering her body apart from more revealing areas her laugh would ring outside the bar as novice mages lined up ready to attack thinking her another simple gang member.
