Sabertooth's Mashyuu and Jason- Team training. (Private thread)

Mashyuu together with Rocky and a new Sabertooth Member Jason walked for a few hours until the three came to the land Mashyuu gained his secondary magic at, the canyons a little ways away from the Sabertooth Guild hall. It was Mashyuu's job to test the new member of Sabertooth in combat and simply see how he stacked up. Mashyuu stopped Jason where he was then continued to walk about thirty more feet away. Once in position he turned to face Jason and ran a hand through his spiked brown hair. The young Dragon Slayer nodded over to Rocky and the animal happily ran off to play in the dirt. "Rules are simple. Go until you can't anymore or you've had enough. Be mindful of your magical energy and don't attack my dog." Mashyuu nodded over to the Earth Elemental then placed his red and black leather gloves on his hands and forearms. Mashyuu dropped into a stance that kept his orange pants covered legs wide apart and stable, while his mothers brown jacket was pulled tightly on the arms by Mashyuu's twisted arm movements into a comfortable stance. "First move is yours." He offered.

Jason was mostly silent on their walk, but a few hours couldn't sustain his attention for long. He talked rather mindlessly, watching rocky play in the dirt on their path, and felt the desert wind on his face. It was dry, as always. In the canyons which they arrived it wasn't much better. Not that it mattered to the two wizards. They were both going to feel a lot worse pretty soon.

Jason nodded at Mushyuu's 'rules.' They were common sense. So far Jason didn't know what to think of the slayer. He had only met him rather recently at the Ace of Spades. A few words were exchanged and here they were. What truly interested Jason was the wizard's magic. He heard slayers could get pretty intense.

"Wouldn't dream of hurting him, so long as he doesn't attack me when I whoop ya." He smiled and unhooked the strap from around his torso which held on his sword. It's thin leather dangled before jason wrapped it around the hilt and crossguard, securing the sheathe onto the weapon. This would take it's potential damage down a point, but they didn't want any fatal stabbing going on now did they? When he looked back up Mushyuu was in a fighting stance, ready for the fight.

Jason started, digging his combat boots into the ground, and leaning forward into a single downward slash at Mushyuu's neck.

"Hero's Slash!" He yelled, and his sword was covered in a glowing golden aura. This was Jason's favorite spell. It allowed a simple weapon attack to do as much damage as any D rank spell plus it's usual damage. This meant Jason's first strike could do 26 damage right away. Coupled with Jason's Hero's Heart lineage, and his Gas Powered Swords ability, he had 29 damage in his strike. It was simple, and really more of a starter. You don't start off a fight with your most dynamic move, now do you?

Mashyuu's sharp eyes caught the sword and the way Jason wrapped the blade up before he slashed for the Earth Slayer's neck. A killing blow to be sure had the weapon not been covered in leather. While Mashyuu was swift he wouldn't lie and say he was the fastest Sabertooth member. Instead his body crackled with electrical energy and a grin crossed Mashyuu's face while he watched the blade coming down at him.

"Lightning leap." The Earth Slayer muttered just before the blade connected. Mashyuu transformed into a bolt of electricity and moved just a single meter away to Jason's left side. A wide grin crossed Mashyuu's face while his read and black fingerless gloves cracked with his hand's sudden and rapid movements. His body took on a draconic look, his blue eyes shifted in image, causing his pupils to change to long narrow slits. His canine teeth jutted out past his upper lip and his skin took on a brownish scaled appearance.

In a swift blur Mashyuu took three steps forward and brought his right arm down in a wide arc to slash with his clawed fingers down at Jason's ribs. His left arm came slashing up in the opposite direction to try to box Jason in with the swing of his weapon. The Earth Slayer couldn't help but grin while those familiar demons on the inside of his soul urged Mashyuu to let them free.

Jason blinked at the lightning bolt which appeared out of nowhere in front of him. It wasn't hard to follow it's destination. When Jason reopened his eyes his opponent stood a meter from his right.

"The hell?" Jason was not physically as fast as Mushyuu, so this would be a challenge. He was not off balance with his swing, therefore turning to react to his opponent was an easy task. He turned his sword sideways acrossed his chest, holding it in the middle of it's sheathe. The slashes would bounce off meaninglessly from each end, caught on the Dragon Slayer's palms and saving Jason's ribs.

He grasped the hilt of his sword again, and thrust a stab at Mushyuu's chest with his right hand. His left palm was also faced towards the slayer, but as the golden magic symbol formed in front of it it's effect took place behind him. From the ground behind the slayer on another magical symbol rose a familiar. A ghoulish shield bearer with a longsword in hand. He brought down his own slash aiming at Mushyuu's head just after Jason Ray's own slash. It could ammount to 7 damage, and Jason's amounted to 8 again due to Hero's Heart and GasPowered Swords.

Gas Powered Swords - A rather obvious effect of Hero's Gift, melee weapons aside from his own fists grant Jason an extra 25 percent damage output.

I'm Unbreakable - Except not really. Jason's magic was built for straightforward fighters, so it comes with a bit of extra toughness. Jason enjoys a ten percent protection from damage sources.

I've still got some left - Hero's Blessing's fighting spirit gives Jason extra stamina. He has ten percent more MP than he should.

Description:This spell conjures a familiar to fight alongside Jason. It takes the form of a zombie-like fallen warrior weilding a simple sword and shield. It takes orders directly from Jason, taking hits and dishing out D rank melee damage.
Strengths:

Familiar will take hits for Jason without hesitation

Cannot be mind controlled

Weaknesses:

Familiar is not particularly strong, only dealing the minor melee D rank damage of 5 HP.

The Familiar can be taken down rather easily with two D rank hits, one C rank, and so on.

Is not exceptionally fast, it's max speed being a D rank walking speed.

The kid was good, Mashyuu had to admit it. Hell the way Jason blocked Mashyuu's claw strikes caused Mashyuu to recoil and go on the defensive. The boy sent a stab towards the Earth Slayer while a thick smell of undead attacked Mashyuu's nose. He blinked as both blades came soaring towards him. "Earth Swim." Mashyuu called out and the ground around Mashyuu erupted around the Wizard, seemingly wrapping him in a shell of dirt and stone...

Both blade hit the shell of Mashyuu and the shell crumbled under the attacks revealing that the Earth Slayer was gone. To the trained eye one would see the ground under where Mashyuu was roll up while the Dragon Slayer dug swiftly under the ground and came shooting up out of the ground three meters behind the young sword wielder.

Mashyuu's right arm was pulled back while he lined up his shot with both Jason and the monster. His right arm crackled with a golden electrical light. He extended his right arm swiftly and shouted. "Lightning Flash!" A massive bolt of electricity lanced out towards Both Jason and his summoned creature. He landed on the ground and started to call up magical energy to prepare to counter or attack depending on what came next.

Lightning. Damn. One of the most annoying attacks in all of combat, in Jason's opinion. He had never had much luck in defending against it. So, he didn't.

The familiar had, in it's rather limited brain power, followed after it's target in a shambling jog. It followed the mound of moving earth, but by no means had the speed to keep up with it. The familiar was now directly in front of Jason when Mushyuu resurfaced.

Jason, meanwhile, was preparing a new tactic. "Well, i didn't want to use this until later, but." Jason's body glowed with the golden magic of his Hero's Blessing magic, and he grew more powerful on the spot. "Warrior's Inner Power!" He yelled just as Mushyuu fired the bolt of lightning. It first went through the familiar, cutting it's power. Lightning, however, was very annoying. It continued towards Jason, whom was stepping forward. It hit him in the chest, but with the strength of his spell and it's added benefits he almost seemed to shrug it off.

He continued forward, pushing his familiar asside with a single arm, and covered the distance between Mushyuu and himself in a heartbeat. He was faster than before. 25 percent faster to be exact. He noticed Mushyuu's preparation for a block with some sort of energy, but Jason Ray swung his sword at Mushyuu's ribs fearlessly reguardless. It's single swing would deal 9 damage from all Jason's added effects. He planned to swing quickly with his boosted strength and speed three more times in this attack acrossed Mushyuu's torso.

"COME ON, SIT STILL."

The Earth Dragon Slayer couldn't help but smile at the man who shrugged off Mashyuu's bolt of lightning. But the Wizard couldn't be put off that easily. Mashyuu let his foot slide back along the dirty ground as Jason came flying in with his weapon. Mashyuu focused on the ground around him and massive slabs of stone and clumps of dirt shot up and clamped around Mashyuu's body. " Don't worry I don't really like to run. Armor of Stone!" He shouted out and barely budged as the blade slammed into his ribs. Mashyuu let all three slashes dig into him and watched as the armor fell from his body clump by clump. After all was said and done Mashyuu had just a few pieces left sitting on his body in areas that would keep him from getting killed.

"Well did you have fun?" Mashyuu asked with a grin on his face. His target was right in front of him with no room to move away from what Mashyuu was ready to do next. Mashyuu's fingers curled into claws but instead swiftly slammed his foot down hard."Earth Dragon's Tremor Stomp!" All around Mashyuu in a twenty foot radius sharp jagged stones shot out of the ground all aimed at Jason and if the Zombie was close enough, at it as well. Even more so there was a very good chance that the attack would knock Jason right off his feet.

A stomp attack means a ground attack. Jason knew this. Wizards had different elements and styles, but it was creativity that won a fight. Jason used his added strength to leap into the air out of the way of the jagged spikes shooting from the ground around Mushyuu. His risen shield brother had been impaled by a few and Jason dispelled it while he began his descent. It was useless at this point.

"Hero's Slash!" His sword was gripped between his hands tightly, and being swung at Mushyuu's head directly. He used the spell once again, even more powerful than last time with Warrior's Inner Power in effect. He could do a full 29 damage with this one blow. With Mushyuu's own rocks around him and Jason's attack from above he wondered if the slayer would make it out of this one. His usual witty banter escaped him, as he was unusually focused on this fight. His mind couldn't find room for anything but the combat.

Quick little shit aren't ya?" Mashyuu spoke and decided to give the man a fighting chance even though the Earth Slayer was prepared to pull up a wall from the ground to intercept the attack. Instead he raised his left arm, letting the stones of his armor absorb a portion of the attack before he let his arm fall so that the blade hit his shoulder with less impact.

In that same motion Mashyuu used his right hand to pull a stone from his last spell to his right finger tip. As Jason came down atop Mashyuu, he raised his right hand for a shot at point blank range. "Rock Bullet!" The stone lanced out at a dangerously high speed at point blank range towards the swordsman's chest.

There was no way Jason was dodging a point blank bullet, rock or otherwise. Jason barely had time to activate a defensive spell, moving his left arm over his chest with the action.

"Hero's Armor! Left arm." His left arm glowed and was covered in a light blue gauntlet and spaulder. It was made of magical energy, and collided with Mushyuu's attack. It protected from 25 percent of it's damage. Reguardless, fifteen damage was still a sizable attack. Thanks to Jason's natural toughness ability, he only took fourteen damage. Take what you can get, right?

Jason made the most of the last bit of his Inner Power spell by taking a swing with his sword arm at Mushyuu's neck. Another flurry of three slashes this turn would put his extra energy to good use. Once these were done, the golden aura around his body dispelled itself.

Mashyuu's slited eyes narrowed in frustration while the young Jason managed to get off another spell to help protect against Mashyuu's strikes. The Earth Slayer took a deep breath and considered trying a Dragon's Roar but it was a spell he hadn't actually perfected yet. Instead he realized that the man was swinging for his neck. Mashyuu settled on a spell he had never before used in combat. This would be an honor for the young man to witness. The spell Mashyuu chose to use was one that was harmful to his Dragon Force ability and kept him from using it for a short time but it was a faster solution to many problems.

"Earth Dragon's Wisdom!" He called out as he ducked his head from the swing. In a flash of light, Mashyuu's body bled from all the visible skin on his body, clearly harming him. However the spell also allowed him to grow scales from his flesh. His body suddenly moved even faster than it had been before, and with the addition of his dragon gloves Mashyuu was now moving a full twenty percent faster than a normal Wizard could ever hope to match. Three strikes came his way, three strikes missed the weaving and backing up Earth Slayer. His hand curled in a clawed fashion while he pulled his right hand back. Suddenly he transformed into a bolt of lightning and reappeared right behind Jason. "Earth Dragon's talons!" He shouted while swinging his clawed hand right into Jason's back. That should do the trick. Mashyuu thought to himself as four brown shock waves launched straight at Jason at near point blank range. The blow would do some extra damage for being so close and even if Jason managed to back up more than a meter the attack would ground him temporarily.

Jason was growing just as frustrated as Mushyuu, if not more so. He hadn't expected a dragon slayer a rank above him to be a pushover, but Jason hadn't even seemed to be able to touch him. The scratches he had caused had had no hope of doing any real harm. That's when Jason's strikes were being dodged, and Mushyuu seemed to do Jason's job for him. He began to bleed.

"Oh damn. Did somebody get their period? You know we can take a break if you-" but it was Jason's arrogance that got him hit. In a blink Mushyuu had used that damn lightning jump again. Jason didn't have any time to do much but brace himself for impact. Two claws struck acrossed his back, his opponent's scaled arms faster than anything yet pulled out of his sleeve. Jason was thrown forward a couple yards and tumbled acrossed the ground. His hand remained firm on his sword's leather hilt.

He lay there for no more than a second, before pushing himself up off the dirt. He turned towards his opponent, and extended his sword arm. The point was directly at him. "You hit like a celestial wizard." Jason's face was in a smile, his leather jacket in tatters. He removed it in one swift motion, it's remains falling to the ground. It had saved him some of the impact, but not much. The cuts were directly through the Sabertooth guild symbol. He was left with only his left arm covered in his Hero's armor, and a ripped white tshirt.

He dashed forward at full sprint. No magical benefits aided him now. Only his combat prowess. He aimed a backhanded strike at Mushyuu's head with his guarded arm, meaning if it were blocked with one of Mushyuu's talons he would be protected. Exactly after this, he aimed a stab at Mushyuu's stomach, making it doubly hard to block if his opponent dared.

The attack had landed swiftly and firmly enough. It even seemed to catch Jason so off guard that the boy was pushed back some two meters or so. This brought a smile to Mashyuu's face. At least until the swordsman charged. "There is a weapon's master you could learn a lot from in our guild." Mashyuu shouted out, speaking of Emilia and also telling Jason how Mashyuu knew how to dodge many of the mans attacks.

He saw the armored fist coming and he saw the way Jason held his blade. It was either get stabbed or take the blow to the face. The slightly younger Wizard was moving to fast to avoid both strikes, even for Mashyuu. Slipping his leg back Mashyuu took the backhanded strike and rolled with the blow, just barely side stepping his foes blade. As he twisted around Mashyuu's left arm started to crackle with golden energy.

"Lightning Flash!" He shouted out while aiming his palm forward at Jason's flank. A crackling bolt of electricity lanced out nearly as fast as his stone bullet had done and sparked along its short trek for Jason.
