His constant pushing himself can sometimes lead to overexertion however, and he has been known to overdo it in his training, ending up back at home recovering from his self inflicted injuries quite often.

When faced against someone stronger than him Mitsuo defers to the strength and leadership of his betters, choosing to sit back and support when he knows he is completely outmatched. He is often bad for slightly misjudging his own strength, however, and this occasionally leads to him going into situations where he is slightly in over his head. Whenever this happens his pride can lead to problems, and unless he is instructed to stop it will often lead to his defeat.
