There was a foul aroma in the air, fouler than usual for the Spooky forest, that seemed oddly different on some level. The atmosphere donned an acid green hue, that seemed different from the rest of the Forest, and there was an ominous vapor that rose nearly a foot from the dirt. The White Wizard struggled to trek over the thick roots of the trees, that swelled above ground, low enough to be hidden by the veil of vapor and made for good hidden tripping hazards. Some roots were so overgrown that Shuhei had to climb over or under them like fences. The moss that covered them was moist and gross to touch, and dirtied Shuhei's white robe. He hated jobs like these, in which he couldn't soar over all obstacles at the speed of light, find what he was looking for and accomplish the task. No, this job required him to get down and dirty.
Some very rich people, lost some very expensive poodles, so they needed to get a very expensive mage, top notch and dashingly handsome if I might add, to go out in to the muddy forest and search for the damned things. "Why didn't we just send Akryn to do this..?" The White Wizard uttered as he crouched under an arching tree root. Upon standing upright, he'd scan the environment, noticing an odd and eerily ominous veil of fog in the distance, that had a tinge of green to it. A shiver ran up the length of Shuhei' spine as his animal instincts kicked in, screaming danger, danger. Shuhei pondered the possibility of the prized poodles entering the veil. It was likely, but would they have also sensed danger as he did? Shuhei didn't like believing in coincidence, the fact that he was there during such an ominous time in the Spooky forest. There are no coincidences, hardly ever.
