Studies of the Scholar - Vampires

Long ago, people believed vampires are an amalgam of the living dead that transcended into a darker form or had conformed into a curse. They feast on the essence of life, blood which is a source of mana that’s heavily concentrated and yet favored by the entire race. Before they were vampires, they were travelers and great ancestors who lived for over thousands of years and perhaps even before life began. To the common folk, they were vampires, to the church they were demons but in actuality they are the True Ancestors that travel across the heavens, those who feed on natural energies in order to maintain their existence. It was believed that they were what remain of a planet that had long died and deprived of magical power, a power much stronger than one in Nazo. It was unknown whether these beings are actual deities or spirits before assuming mortal form.

The will to live an eternity was the long standing wish of the vampire race, well at least a primary goal and only inhabiting a planet to call home is a second.  The Heavenly Ancestors were not classified as Divine Spirits much like how the Gods were, rather they are considered “Planetary spirits”, extensions of the world in order to create a certain balance and eliminate all threats that would doom the host planet. If Gaia cannot resolve and prevent its own doom, these ancestors serve as a last resort in order to finish what Gaia could not.  Most of the Heavenly Ancestors take form of “The Moon” but not all moons are actually Heavenly Ancestors themselves, some are just clumps of rocks that so happen to take spherical form or rather they assimilate into it. They are the main and natural causes of planetary events that happen on earth much like the rise and fall of tides, including the behavior of many different species of fauna.

Should a vampire exist in a planet, proves evidence that the moon itself is a heavenly ancestor.

Primarily the Heavenly Ancestors never came to claim the lives of humans in such methods common vampires would, the root of an Ancestor’s bloodlust is normally psychological rather than physical. There was primarily two classes of Heavenly Ancestors:

The planetary spirits that supports all life and energy in a planet, much like nature, they are natural forces with powers that surpass even the Gods themselves. TYPEs may vary from celestial bodies or a form of “Will” and is the parent of all True Ancestors. The most common appearances for TYPEs are usually the moon that orbits the host planet, as such being a support system of the host planet; they are mainly responsible for enforcing natural forces such as the low-high tides of the sea, or the sudden changes of whether, Biological evolution, the behavior of different species of Fauna and how life developed.

Its rare for a TYPE to even have a mortal form or rather having to succeed of creating one for themselves. However not all TYPEs can act as a support system for a planet but also a grave threat; simply an individual entity that can be completely hostile and would destroy all life in a planet. Hostile TYPEs may come in a form of Meteors in an attempt to attack and destroy a planet just to feed off the life that it took afterwards but such Types can be unsuccessful with this method. Should a Hostile Type have a form, would spell a great doom for the world and would be even far worse than a calamity.

All TYPEs who would have mortal forms will always have weak traits of vampires and little bloodlust.


Beings much similar to TYPEs however they are not classified as spirits but rather as beings even though they are a mix of both Heavenly and Planetary spirits. They are the ones solely responsible for resolving and preventing planetary doom manually. True Ancestors are those with actual forms unlike the TYPEs, more or less most True Ancestors takes form of fauna and even humans. Dragons to them were like Lions or transcendent beasts that need to be tamed. In comparison to the Gods, the Ancestors were Aristocrats and the difference between Gods and Ancestors was that Gods were pure beings of the Earth. This doesn’t mean that all True ancestors surpass these beings.

How is it that they started to attack humans? The answer is simple and that is because humans were seen as a natural threat to the planet.

In addition to Planetary Contract, TYPEs are privileged to feed off some of its energies in order to maintain existence; blood was somewhat favored as they were life itself at least to the True Ancestors. True Ancestors choose a selected few humans to become their containers, “Food sources” that are kept alive so that they’d generate blood. They were also considered as their natural servants, humans that gained immortality in exchange for such fate. Both shared the same mission into preventing internal planetary doom but the humans who gained immortality were then abused and thus a rebellion against the ancestors started.

Because of the way they were abused, they decided to rebel against the True Ancestors. They were then called “Descendants”. Descendants are those though not as powerful as the True Ancestors themselves, they inherit the concept of their own power and characteristics but not to the fullest. Should a Descendant devour a True Ancestor, they would become one and ascend to an even higher class of being.  One of the inherited powers they gain from the True Ancestors was the natural ability of “reproducing their own kind” which lead to the creation of Vampires, the blood sucking monsters society has come to know today. To vampires, Descendants are their progenitors and their masters, should a Descendant die, all those who were bitten by the Descendants also die themselves excluding for a Vampire that’s treated as the Descendant’s successor and in that case the Vampire evolves into a Descendant and inherits their powers and their characteristics.

But through such method is the reason why Vampires tend to kill of their progenitors. Though Vampires are independent of their progenitors, most of them can never deny their masters but vampires with an insane magical potential may completely overthrow a Descendant to the point that rebelling to them would be easy but those were considered as special cases.

Overall both Descendants and Vampires are those whose bloodlust affects them both physically and psychologically.

Demons along with humans were one of the most common and known beings on earth, the church considers them as the amalgams of evil due to their insidious nature. They don’t classify as Gods but they are more or less closer to spirits. Elementals represent the very compositions of the earth, Gods were those who have power and command over their said attributes, spirits are energies with a conscious will or rather the souls of mortals that had long passed.

Demons however were believed to be born after a planet had collided with a hostile TYPE. If that so then one could say the Meteors from the vast space was responsible for their existence, however this was not entirely proven. There were a few theories how this came about:

The First Theory
When a hostile TYPE lands on earth, it dies and much like regular TYPEs they can generate and parent True Ancestors with a drive and lust for blood. Though True Ancestors may come in different forms, they could have adapted to the characteristics of different creatures. Once a TYPE dies, True Ancestors are less powerful and without a parent TYPE, they will conform to the host planet turning into different kinds of organisms and eventually lose their ability to change into another form. In turn they become what we now know as Demons. Demons comes in different classes and forms, however unlike Descendants who’s True Ancestors still has a parent, they can never return to the form of True Ancestors.

Second Theory
True Ancestors that were children of a TYPE supporting the planet vary in personality, some of which would be the most destructive in nature or the most aggressive and its with the cause of aggression that they had abused “Descendants” is the very reason why they had rebelled over the True Ancestors in the first place. Some of them had little tolerance over bloodlust and had no restraint whatsoever. In turn they were no longer True Ancestors rather they were now classified as Demon Lords. Those who are power can cause absolute destruction to life around them, aiming to devour life itself and enslave it. Cain the son of Adam and Eve can be classified as a historical example.

If a vampire injects some of its own black blood into a human victim’s bloodstream, the said victim will be infused with some of the vampire’s own power and their body becomes unable to completely die. The black blood violates and burns the whole body from the inside. But in most cases however, the body dies and with it, the soul of the victim. The final result would be a mindless undead familiar known as The Dead. But in the rare occurrence of the said victim possessing an above-average life force, he will become a Ghoul and embark on climbing the ladder to becoming a full-fledged Descendant. The extent in which the newly created Ghoul will progress is decided by their magical potential of the body, which is stored inside the soul. Furthermore, the extension of its powers is dependent on the abilities and amount of minions pertaining to its parent vampire, whom it is bound, both mentally and spiritually.

Ghoul

They are born, when the brain of a vampire's victim is unable to completely die, after several years in the grave, the brain will rot and the human soul will be freed from the cage of the body. The decayed corpses now begin activity as Ghouls and their transformed souls, have now bypassed the necessity of the brain to hold the soul, as the soul is now separate from the body. They have mental capacities pretty much equivalent to that of a savage beast and they must devour other corpses to reconstruct their own degenerated flesh. 1 out of 100 individuals has the potential to become a Ghoul.

Living Dead

They are the result of a Ghoul that successfully reconstructed its own body and thus, their brain. They are inferior to The Dead in terms of raw strength but the fact that it regained its own will, a full-fledged ego and that it can maintain its own soul now puts it on a different standing than a mere puppet. The Living Dead have very limited to no intellect and to restore their intellect and memories, they need to suck the blood of humans. 1 out of a 1000 individuals has the potential to become a Living Dead.

Vampire

After several years of development, the Living Dead regains all of its memories and a full human intellect; it now attains power of his own and becomes a mature Vampire, capable of creating other vampires and having his own minions. The new born Vampire gains the necessary knowledge to understand the changes of its body and quickly grows accustomed to living as a vampire. However, he is still bound to the will of his parent vampire and forced to supply him with blood. A vampire can only become a full-fledged Descendant after breaking free from the control of his parent vampire. 1 out of a 10,000 individuals has the potential to achieve this level but it takes at least a hundred years of development.
