- One of Ashelia's earliest finds, this extremely long bladed and long handled katana was the signature weapon of an ancient eastern knight who traveled the land teaching his unique style of fighting to any willing to learn. Legend has it that the knight was so in tune with his weapon that when he died his soul chose to dwell within the blade rather than move on to the afterlife in order to pass on his skills down the ages. Stories also tell of powerful abilities granted to those who master its secrets, and with a mixture of persistence and training Ashe has begun to unlock the first of those lost arts.
Strengths:
- Strangely weighs almost nothing, allowing even Ashelia to wield it easily.
- The long reach of the blade allows the wielder to out-range most melee opponents.
- The blade is preternaturally sharp despite its age, and can cut through nearly anything that isn't solid metal with ease.
Weaknesses:
- The size of the blade makes it unwieldy in cramped areas, requiring a good deal of space to be fully effective.
- The size of the blade makes it difficult to bring to bear against opponents who get in very close.
- Is nearly impossible to hide due to its size.
- The sharpness of the blade can be a problem as well, if the wielder isn't careful they could accidentally cut through a table simply by setting the blade down on it for example.

- This was the first of many techniques devised by the legendary Sir Alonne, who had a penchant for giving them long and grandiose names. Sir Alonne was fascinated with how the wind seemed to follow each strike of his blade, and devised this technique in an attempt to take that effect to its highest potential. By focusing one's will on their sword one can strike with such speed and precision that the blade actually tears a rift through the air, creating an 'echo strike' of slicing wind as the air rushes to full the void. After mastering the technique Alonne remarked that the displaced wind shone 'like echoes of moonlight', thus earning it the name.
Strengths:- Is versatile, can be used for both melee and ranged attacks.
- Is an extremely fast technique, and thus hard to dodge.
Weaknesses:- Using Moonlight Echoes requires the user to swing the sword, therefore if one is immobilized they cannot use this technique.
- Sir Alonne is old-fashioned and rather fond of his long-winded names, and requires the users of his techniques to chant them before activation even if nobody can hear them. This is often an inconvenience as it takes a second or two to do so and telegraphs the attack. Not to mention sounding rather silly.
- This attack is useless against wind slayers, who can devour the wind currents entirely.
