    Alye was the one chosen to take command.  While Zork doesn't know these people well enough, she seemed to be one of the more respected members in the guild.  From what he gathered, she was the highest ranking among their little rag-tag group so it only made sense that she was the one that assumed command of this little expedition/extermination brigade.  A smile was written upon Zork's face before Alye went into high alert.  Drawing out his ancestral and holding it in both hands, Zork turned towards the source of the danger.

    Narrowing his eyes at the three strangers coming out of the woods, he gripped his weapon even tighter until Alye stood down, recognizing these people.  Allies?  The Ancestral Sword was lowered and eventually resheathed on his back.  Everyone was introduced leaving Zork as the final one.  A descriptor was given after-the-fact that he wasn't a frog.  "Damn right, I'm not a frog!  Ribbit!" he said with the 3 strangers looking at one another.  One of them let out a "kero".

    Here it comes!  The plan!  Alye turned to the group and began to divvy up the jobs.  While everyone else was given command of their own Kaze Ninja units, Zork was with the leaders of both factions and their plan was to drain the lake due to the fact that their enemies resided under the lake.  This caused Zork to recoil slightly when he heard about the daunting task that he was told to perform.  Drain an entire lake to expose the enemy base?  That's a tall order, but it was an order none-the-less.  A drop of sweat came from the frog's head as he heard the command.  Zork simply nodded to Alye's plan.

    A plan already formulated in Zork's mind of how he's going to do it.  If he wanted to drain this lake, he's going to need to make a deep underwater reservoir.  Remembering the direction of the lake, Zork jumped up into the air only to touch the ground head-first and started to dig.  The hole in the ground was large enough for Alye and Sakura to climb through.  Unfortunately for them, the hole would grow to be extremely dark and could potentially lead to direct plummets downward.  Zork continued to dig through the dirt in the direction of the lake while making a slow descent towards the lake, accommodating for the lake's depth.  When he found himself under the lake, detected by the dampness of the soil he was trudging through, he dug straight down about 50 meters.  It was here that he started to carve out a huge cavity.  However, to create a cavity large enough to consume a lake would take quite some time.

    Enough time for the land-based soldiers and members of the Infinity Hydra to begin their plotting.  Every now and then, Zork took a breather.  Digging out a lake-sized hole does take time and exerts a lot of energy.  There was no way he'd be able to break in after draining the water.  Though, he was capable of digging up to the floor of their garrison up to any man-made structures.  Unfortunately, he wasn't capable of digging through man-made structures; only completely natural structures and ground was at his mercy.  In all actuality, digging straight into the middle of their compound would actually be a strategic point of entry; albeit that only a few people could sneak in due to the cramped space.  But he'll devise that route sometime after digging this enormous cavity.

    But one question should come to mind, however, while Zork is digging this hole.  Where does all of the dirt he pushes out of the way go to?  Questions for later, don't doubt his magic skills!

    I am skipping Kiari.

    for you...

    The Windrider wished her guildmates luck one more time, silently, to herself before her and Zork split off from them to speak to Sakura. Part of her was worried for them. She didn't want them to be hurt. Especially while they were under her command. She was hoping to befriend them after this mission. Living life alone and away from people that cared about you was a miserable existence. One that Alye did not desire in the slightest. As the two guildmates made their way over towards the Kaze Clan Leader's tent, Alye looked down at her amphibian partner. The magical world was certainly strange. While she'd seen many sentient beasts in her day, the thing that perplexed her most was the sword snuggly secured to Zork's back. She'd never seen anything like it before. From the couple of times he's unsheathed, Alye could sense some kind of shearing or temporal-disturbing magic emanating from the blade. She couldn't help but wonder how Zork came into possession of it... Perhaps she'd ask him after this mission was over. She stopped and looked over at him. "I'm heading inside. Find a good infiltration spot and start your digging. If you need anything just let the Kaze Clan or myself know." She nodded to him before stepping towards the tent.

    The two guards at the front of the tent let her in without apprehension once they knew who she was. Alye noticed their body language though. They weren't very hostile in the slightest. Was it because they were allies in battle? Or did the allying of Ardere's clan with theirs garner some kind of instant trust? It was odd. But then again, Heero knew more about Midian culture than she did. Just thinking of his monthly kimono dry cleaning bill made her want to roll her eyes...

    As the Infinity Hydra member entered the tent, she were greeted to the sight of a surprisingly lavish scene. The inside of the tent was a mass of swirling blue drapes and wind chimes. Alye sensed the familiar wafting sensation of wind magic emanating from the chimes that were clinking all by themselves. It was a neat trick. Alye wanted a cute little novelty like that for herself... Her sky-blue eyes glanced and locked onto the woman sitting with her legs crossed in the middle of the room.

    Kaze Clan Leader Appearance:

    The ornate fan throne behind her gave homage to her clan and status. It was impressive to say the least. Remembering her place, the white-haired woman bowed a tad. "Greetings. My name is Alye Reyold, member of Infinity Hydra, representative to the Kasai Clan." The woman was silent for a moment before smiling gently. "Ardere has a Reyold within his ranks. His guild must be very strong indeed." Alye blinked in surprise. "You...must mean my little brother, Heero. He's very famous through the magic wo-" The woman raised her hand to politely silence Alye. "I know exactly who you are. Alye Selene Reyold, former Wizard Saint and Ace of Eclipse Soul. You also happen to be one of the highest ranked mages in Fiore and hold the keys to the Reyold Enterprise fortune. You are both a mover and a shaker. And I make it my business to know those kinds of people in the world." Alye couldn't help the slight blush that came to her cheeks. She didn't think anyone kept track of her like that. And if this woman could keep such close tabs on her, she could only imagine would others were doing... Shaking those thoughts off, the white-haired woman nodded. "I see, well, I must apologize to you. I do not know who you are." The woman's responding smile was a genuine one. "Good, good! All you need to know then, is that my name is Sakura, leader of the Kaze Clan." She said this then stood. What was perplexing though was that as soon as she did, the fan behind her retracted automatically into a standing form. The woman reached back and strapped the fan to her back with no effort at all. Alye was impressed. That fan had to be at least two hundred pounds and she hefted it like it was nothing.

    This woman was no slouch.

    moondust.

    El had been going through some basic formation and tactics with his for-now-under-his-command soldiers. He was trying to maximize their offensive potential while mantaining a defensive status. Whcih has more than just hard. Truth to be told, the lancers were not the best troops available. However they had talent. Latent talent that El could make use of. They just lacked training and experience. A few last minute, basic drills would not fix that. What those drills would achieve though was to create a bond between El, Lyra and the lancers. Thus increasing their teamwork and efficiancy. El thought that Kiari and Halibel along with their troops should also take part in these drills...he did not want to force them though. Forcing them would provide exactly the opposite effect of what he desired.

    Among the lancers, two of the five-man leaders showed some talent for skirmish battles. Thus El decided that Yo and Hana along with the rest of their five-man squad should follow Lyra's orders. Jackal really trusted Lyra. She maybe a little bit shy but when on the battlefield she turned into a demoness. Not that she wasn't one already.

    All prepearations done the two childhood friends and the lancers put on their "combat-face". Yo and Hana would be following Lyra. As for Karma, Han, Ren and Lee those would be directly under El's command, while commanding their own squads individualy. El suggested that they call themselves "Flame-Wind Lances". Even though this small army of shorts was temporary, naming it would further increase the bonds between its members.

    Not even one member of the "Flame-Wind Lances" knew what the rest of the defensive forces would be doing. Thus they had to be extra focused, extra careful and extra deadly while on the battlefield. Jackal helped towards this goal by encouraging them with a small speech. Despite having only met today, all members of the "Flame-Wind Lances" seemed to be old war buddies that fought side by side many times in the past. The power words and human interaction can provide one with is beyond this world. Far beyond it.

    El had just finished his motivation speech when he felt that something was off. Alye and Sakura should be getting ready to head to the lake. Zork should be digging a tunnel to get them there. This was the plan. Alye and Sakura were to go and ambush the enemy in their own grounds. However El had a hunch that the enemy had already started moving.

    "Kiari! Halibel! Get your troops ready. Something doesn't feel right here. Rowan, stay alert."

    El didn't really care for Halibel's well being. Not because his nihilistic nature makes him not to believe in humans, but because she displayed obvious disgust in him and Lyra. Halibel was a commrade though. And if she got hurt the group would suffer terrible loss. Thus he felt that it was good to warn her too and not only Kiari and Rowan.

    Having warned his commrades, El turned to his childhood friend.

    "If shit gets ugly I want you to hide. Leave your troops to me and go hide. I. Will. Not. Allow. You. To. Die. Ok?"

    ~~~~~~~~~~
    Having heared that, all the half-demoness could do was nod. Of course she didn't plan on hidding, because she also didn't plan for the situation to get so bad that she would need to hide. However Lyra wasn't in the mood to argue with El right now. So she simple nodded.
    "En...I don't plan on letting the situation detoriate that much though."
    A smirk formed in her face as she readied herself for her first time in a while. Her demon part, lusting for blood, made her even more excited for this battle. A good workout and a way to cease her bloodlust. Plus she could also appear good in front of El, something that was highly appealing to Lyra.
    This fancy shmancy template was made by Nicole
    Rowan gave a little wave to both Alye and Zork as they both went their separate ways, carrying out the plan that they had agreed on. Hoping that Halibel wouldn’t ruin any more relations between her and her designated men, Rowan casually split away from the group of Banner men before meandering over to where El was drilling his men. The plasma mage stood a few meters away, curiously observing how Jackal didn’t really seem to mind the lancer’s sloppy form, but chose to simply carry on. His eyes trailed over to El’s companion, Lyra was it?, and Rowan pursed his lips, considering how he could later fix tensions between Halibel and El, if it came to that. For a few minutes, Rowan lost himself in his hypothetical thoughts, until El pulled him back into reality with the start of his motivational speech. The dialogue that El shared was rather short, but still inspiring nonetheless. Rowan clapped a few times to lighten the mood as El finished before standing up and making his way over to his guild mate. Rowan knew what Halibel did for magic, but Rowan still needed to know some of El’s spells if he was going to support him. Whistling casually, Rowan stood near Jackal for a few moments before deciding to break the tension. “So-“ Before he could get a word in, El suddenly turned around and began telling everyone to be wary. The sudden movement scared the plasma mage halfway out of his skin, and he actually jumped a little in surprise. Rowan wasn’t too sure what had set El off like that, but he felt that this wasn’t a time to doubt his guild mate, and so Rowan simply nodded, looking about curiously. The plasma mage hadn’t noticed anything out of the ordinary, but perhaps El noticed something he didn’t. Either way, Rowan immediately went on guard, his muscles tense as he flexed his fingers. Cursing under his breath, Rowan realized he still didn’t know what sort of spells half of his guild mates used, and right now was definitely not the time.
    Expletives and loud groans of pain and exhaustion could be heard underground as Zork continued to dig with expert speed.  It was as if Zork was moving normally through the ground, pushing it away at a rate that most humans dream of traveling while underground (without the assistance of machines, anyway).  The large cavern that he was hollowing out was finished!  Now all that remained was to find an entrance point.  Once at the bottom of this massive chasm that Zork had carved out, he dug a small tunnel from the bottom of the hole all the way up to the top.
    Zork created a small cave for him, allowing him enough room to grab a firm hold of his sword in one hand while digging with the other.  He made his way from the small cave upwards until he hit something solid.  It was man-made, making it difficult for him to dig through, but never fear!  Hrunting had this strange ability to slice through anything Zork willed it.  With a quick cut, Zork carved a hole just big enough for Zork's head to fit through and popped his head into the hole.
    Unfortunately, this wasn't the place that Zork had hoped for.  He poked his head up to notice several female ninja getting dressed in a locker room.  Zork made a ribbiting noise before the women, half naked and covering themselves up with their own hands started to scream.  In an attempt to silence them, Zork shot out his tongue and wrapped it around one of the women's bodies and slammed her into the other, effectively knocking them out.  He replaced his tongue back into his mouth and grumbled.  "This doesn't make a very good entrance or draining point.  Ribbit!" he stated before going back underneath, supporting the slab that he pulled out with some of the mud that 'magically' gets displaced while he's digging.
    Zork started to replace the tunnel with mud, packing it as he moved on.  It was as if he was covering his tracks to make it look like he was never there.  He thought of another route and went straight up from where he backtracked to, carving out another hole and poked his head up.  The first thing he noticed was a very pungent odor.  Another ribbiting sound came from Zork.  The odor was foul to the point of nauseating.  It was then that he heard a sound; a sound that is only reserved for the lowest of low jokes.  A fart.
    Not even giving this a chance, Zork sealed the hole up and went to go find another place to pop up out of.  This time, Zork traveled a bit further and cut out a hole (one that is tapered and able to hold itself up like a sewer lid).  After cutting open a hole, Zork moved the slab upwards and over, poking his head out to see that it was inside of a food storage area.  This'll work.  He resealed the cover and began to dig open a big enough tunnel to fit 3 people shoulder to shoulder and high enough for them to walk through while bent over.  After a moment, Zork popped back up at the ally base camp and plopped up on land after building the large tunnel into the village.
    The frog laid on the ground and let out a high pitched groan of exhaustion.  Zork was covered from head-to-foot in mud, looking like a creature from a movie; looking almost nothing like Zork, it simply laid there breathing.
    "That is the last time I volunteer to dig that kind of trench, Ribbit!"  Now he just waits.  He could easily drain the water around the village.  All he needed were to punch a few more holes from the surface down to the reservoir he build below.  The route he built down below could be an ambushing point that the group could use while distracting the majority of the forces with the draining water and the forces on-land attracting their attention.  But for now, the Frog wants to take a break.
    for you...
    "So - tell me - what do you know already?" Sakura asked Alye as she walked around her and traced her fingers lightly over the ribbons that danced silently through the air. Etiquette bade Alye to stare ahead and answer the woman's question obediently. Dignity won, however. The white-haired woman strolled over to where Sakura was standing and admired the decorations with her. This woman was the leader of her clan, the head of her family, some might even call her a queen. Titles like those demanded respect. But Alye knew better. Her master had been the first God of Ishval. She'd once walked the same halls as a Goddess, and even became the avatar of her will. Alye knew not what this woman had been through in life, but she did know of the qualms of battle. There was no way she was going to trust this woman with her life if she didn't respect her.
    Alye may serve, but she is no tool.
    Sakura glanced over at Alye's close proximity but the illusive smile on her lips only grew a bit more. Did the Windrider pass some kind of bizarre test? She couldn't know. "We've scouted the area - as I'm sure you're people have already - and we found the enemy force to be substantial, as expected. They've stationed themselves in loose groups around a lake. I could feel around a hundred magical pressures radiating from the camp, but there were too many to get an exact count. The alarming point though would be the garrison. Its no where on the land. Based on the scattering points of the tents, I presume that they've actually stationed their fortress underwater. It would be the most logical place for them to place it. After all, their powers increase in the presence of water." Sakura nodded and crossed her arms. "We're in the same boat then. We've scouted from the air with our best techniques. We can't find it. But what you say actually does make sense. My scouts have reported seeing ninjas melding up from the waves that hadn't been there before. Those on land must be an advance party - and a distraction. We have to find a way to expose the garrison so we can effectively combat the ones inside..." It was Alye's turn to smile.
    "We've got that covered."
    Sakura gave her an actual perplexed look. "Have you? How so?"
    Alye led the clan leader out of the tent and towards the sizeable tunnel that Zork had started making. "The plan is simple. You and I are going to infiltrate the garrison via this tunnel. While we are doing that, my guildmate - Zork - will set off a chain of sinkholes that will begin draining the lake of it's water. This will provide a suitable distraction for us while the rest of my guildmates dispatch the land forces and make their way to the garrison to assist us if needed. We are going to search for the enemy clan leader and take him out." Sakura looked thoroughly impressed. "It's a very solid strategy. The enemy will be disheveled by the loss of their source of power and it will level the playing field. I approve. When shall we start?"
    Alye looked towards her resting guildmate. She twirled her wrist quickly and a shimmering breeze wafted in his direction. The healing winds wrapped around him to ease his soreness and soothe his aches. It was the least she could do after asking so much of him.
    "As soon as my guildmates are ready."
    ...my rain falls.
    Having warned his guildmates and Lyra, El now felt a little bit more secure. It wasn't like his warrning was going to save them all from harm's way, but at least it kept everyone on their toes.
    "Constant vigillance" whispered El under his breath.
    A quick wave of his hand later and El was now standing with one of his two katana in his right hand. A nice blade, eloqouently forged with red mana stripes across its length. The crossguad was circular, with patterns both engraved on it and cut out as holes. The hilt, blood red in color, was in its owner's hand. El knew that he could only use Bloody Hawk for a limited amount of time before it started taking a toll on his body. However he could always swich to his other weapon, Lepida or endure the pain.
    El started making his way towards Rowan, the plasma mage. He didn't know much about the man. Scratch that he barely knew him andhad zero info on him other than his name and...a bit of obscure info on his magic. That being its name, Plasma Magic did not help at all. So as any intelligent -because even El doubted he was sane- man would do, he wanted to talk to Rowan. Mainly give him info about his way of fighting so his guildmate would have no trouble doing his job supporting him.
    "Hey Rowan, mind if I speak to you for a sec?" Not even botheringto hear his reply, El continued talking. "Just wanted to tell you a bit about my magic. You are tasked with supporting us so I figued you should know." Jackal shot up a smile, trying to be friendly with his new commrade. "I mainly use Lucifer's soul, combining parts of it, his aura for example, with mine so as to strengthen myself. I got some offensive spells of course, but I rely on Lucifer and my equipment a lot. Oh, I can also manipulate shadows...a thing that's been running in the family. So, it would be best if you could enhance my performance a bit and throw in some damage once in a while." With that having been said El was waiting to hear Rowan's responce. Something that would be easier to do if there wasn't an annoying voice in his head, talking to him.
    "You know, I always thoguht you were not a teamplayer. All this loner stuff and wanting to take over the world thing point in that direction."
    "You really have misjudged me Lucy. Of course I am a teamplayer. When I have to that is. Now could you shut up? It is weird talking to voices in my head."
    The tension that El's warning had cause was quickly dwindling down, although everyone stayed on their toes. Well, almost everyone. Once it was apparent that nothing eventful was about to happen right that moment, Rowan’s posture shifted into a much more relaxed one, and the plasma mage simply stood, looking about in confusion. Rowan’s confused time was quickly cut off by El approaching him, and as his guild mate got closer, he stood a bit more at attention. Before he could say anything, El didn’t really bother with the formalities, but rather went straight the point. Rowan was mildly surprised that El came over to give him the run down of his magic, and once the shock subsided, Rowan listened intently to the details. Rowan wanted to interject to ask a few questions, but El seemed to be on a roll, and so the plasma mage simply nodded his head slowly, waiting for his opportunity. It was only after El was done speaking that Rowan realized that it would simply be far easier for him to let El know what he was capable of, then asking what was preferred. “Well… Here’s the thing, I’m going to be having to help everyone out, so how about this, I can boost a spell’s effectiveness, increase it’s length, or give you a shield that defends against magic…. which of these three do you prefer?” Rowan folded his arms across his chest as he offered El the 3 options that he had for supporting him, his eyebrows raised in expectation. While he waited for the answer, the plasma mage’s eyes wandered over to the tent that Alye had gone into, and to his surprise she came back out with someone who was clearly the Kaze Clan’s Leader. Rowan also noticed that Zork had gotten back from his digging mission, and turning his attention back to El, the plasma mage patted the Jackal on the shoulder. “Alrighty then, I’ll be sure to keep your preference in mind…” With that, Rowan parted with El before making his way over to Alye, his feet pounding as he trotted over. “Hey there Alye, are the Kaze ready? I think everyone on our part is up and ready to go… although… El seemed to have sense some sort of disturbance…” Rowan wasn’t too eager to speak on Jackal’s behalf, but it was important to let their mission leader of important news.
    Zork had a moment's reprieve to catch his breath.  He flopped around a little bit, enjoying the cool feeling of the ground beneath him.  Sitting up, he took a hand full of the earth and rubbed the mud all over him.  Instantly, the cooled mud lowered his internal body temperature drastically, causing a sigh of relief to escape the frog's lips.  Remaining seated, Zork looked around to notice the Jackal and the Plasma Mage conversing with what didn't appear to be very important banter.  However, his attention towards the two women is what piqued at his interest.
    The beautiful woman of the Kaze Clan spoke out to Alye, yet another beautiful human being, about their plans.  At least that is what Zork thought they were talking about.  The frog let out a little sigh before looking down at his sword for a moment; Hrunting, the Ancestral Sword wasn't a blade meant to be ignored and it carried him through many adventures in his past.  However, this job will be one that will satisfy the demon's hunger for blood.  Zork may like humans, but he also isn't one to not be capable of killing them when the time came.
    Hopping up onto his feet, Zork bent down and picked up his weapon.  Holding it in his hands, he walked over towards Alye and Sakura with a little nod.  "M'ladies.  The trench has been dug and ready for operation, ribbit!" Zork stated with a nod.  "I'll get into position.  But before that, what is the signal for me to pull out the plug?  Ribbit!" Zork stated simply.  If this plan is to work properly, he needed to 'drain this tub' at the right moment.  He couldn't just drain it at any time; the plan wouldn't work like that.
    If and when Zork is given the information, he nodded his head and hopped back towards the massive hole that he dug and into the intricate web of trenches.  While the main tunnel for the foot troops is clearly marked, a smaller group of tunnels was made specifically for Zork to travel.   The size difference was made mainly to not confuse the shinobi or her teammates; if they did travel down one of Zork's tunnels, then they are morons and deserve to drown.
    Just before Zork entered his tunnel, a thought popped into his head causing him to hop back over towards Sakura and Alye once more.  "Oh, you'll see a line of stones in the tunnel, Ribbit!  Once you cross that line, you'll have to block the tunnel behind you, RIBBIT!  If you don't, you'll drown, Ribbit!" Zork said as warned the two while completely covered in mud.
    "Well, good luck to you two, Ribbit!" he stated before hopping off, passing his other guild mates.  "Good luck to you all!  Ribbit!" Zork stated as he hopped back towards the tunnels and made his way into his smaller tunnel, just wide enough for him and him only.  Now all Zork can do now is wait.
    Zork sat in the tunnel and waited for his sign to begin releasing the plug.
