Zenshin and the almighty guildmaster of Lamia scale were chosen by an old man by name to come see him in Era, the holy capital of Fiore, as soon as they possible could. Obviously, they didn't really know each other since they were in completely different guilds, but the would by the end of this mission, they would indeed. Apparently, this was a legendary, hundred year, task, and was NOT to be taken lightly, as missions like this have taken more skilled mages decades to finish. Zen knew this, and regardless, he was willing to take this quest, as if he did finish it, alive, he would almost guaranteed be promoted in his guild. Also, he was anxious to learn and see the power of a guild master, the Lamia Scale guild was the second largest in Fiore, rivaling Zen's own, Eclipse Soul, and it was rumored that the Lamia Scale guild master was a dragon slayer, which one wasn't really specified in the rumor.
A week prior to the assignment, Zenshin's guildmaster Zeno summoned him into his chambers, probably for something important, and of course, it was. Zeno informed Zen about the task at hand, and for some reason, the old man specifically chose Zenshin by name for the job. Zen didn't know many old men, and it was surprising just how little he knew, his grandparents were dead, his neighbor had moved, and all he really knew was that old man he had saved from a giant squid a while before. Aside from thinking about old men, Zen attempted to stay focused on his wise guild master's words, as they would probably prove to be an invaluable asset to the mission he was about to undertake, to bring much honor to the guild. He listened carefully to Zeno as he explained everything a guild master would need to when sending off an A-Ranked mage with a guild master of a different guild on a mission that may take years.
After he was done, Zenshin was sent off with supplies and a generous amount of jewels that were probably attained through illicit means to go to Era, quite a ways from the Phoenix Mountains, the area where the guild was located, to seek out the old man and the Lamia Scale guild master. Walking inside the guild was not something Zenshin did very often, as he only really went in for when he did missions or big social events, or his bar tending duty once a week, but he had never seen Zeno's private study for some reason, and he'll never forget it either, that place was magical, and it even stopped Zen from thinking about his, old men. The snowy air had the slightest cold tinge on it as he walked outside the giant guild hall doors, it was always snowy on the mountain peak, but that was beside the point. Zen's companion, Green Eye, was joining him on this mission, as he had left the door to his house locked for once, which he always forgot to do. But, he was just remembering all this as he dozed off, waiting for the guild master to hurry up and arrive.
