Blades vs Ice (Leonard vs Zenshin)

It was a beautiful sunny day, a perfect day for a duel. In the arena, Leonard was walking towards the middle of the arena where he would wait for Zenshin. As he got there, he looked around at the crowd that would be watching and cheering at them. He sniffed at the air and sighed everything was fit for glorious battle. He impaled his greatsword to the ground, holding it at the hilt's end and looking towards the gate in front of him. Eagerly waiting for Zenshin's arrival.

This was new. Zen was challenged to duel none other than by the guild master of the guild, Fairy Tail, in an actual arena no less, this should prove to be a change of pace. If Zen could recall correctly, Fairy Tail's guildmaster was well known for his legendary use of the re-equip magic, or some form of it. Another thing, he was one of the Wizard Saints, it seemed that after his victory over the guildmaster of Blue Pegasus, others wanted to take a crack at the ice mage. Now, he was walking towards the middle of the colossal arena, ready to make his name known as the man who beat two Saints.

He got to the middle, the dust riding the winds up and to his face, making it slightly dirtier than usual, Zen was now standing about a meter from his opponent and said, "I'll take the first move." and with that, he held his hand forward and sent out a barrage of tiny, ice shuriken towards Leonard.

Then at last, Zenshin had arrived. He was very anxious to face the famous Ice Mage that defeated his friend, Shinigami. Leonard would like to measure Zen's ability, and him making the first move was the best for him. A barrage Ice Shuriken was fired towards Leonard. He defended himself by lifting his large sword that was large enough to defend him from the shurikens and placed it in front of him, not impaling it to the ground. While in this state, he requiped a sword to his right hand with his greatsword in his left hand which was his stronger hand. He then dashed towards Zenshin preparing to strike him when he gets in range.

Zenshin shuriken barrage had been blocked by Leonard, using a sword, confirming that he was a reequip mage. After he blocked Zenshin's small attack, he summoned an over sized sword and rushed Zenshin, typical of a reequip mage, who Zen ranked a least favorable magic, right over takeover. "Ice-Make, Pillar." Zenshin said softly, causing a large pillar to shoot out next to him, blocking the great sword that Leonard attempted to swing at him by trapping it inside the pillar. Then, Zen attempted to grab at the arm Leo had used the sword with and called out another spell, "Dark-Ice Make: Snakes" which would cause a dozen, very large snakes to crawl over his arm and to his opponents, then, wrapping around and constricting him.

Leonard was shocked at the development that had occured. Everything happened in a flash. Quick enough that it didn't give Leonard enough time to react. Leonard had now seen what this Ice Mage can do. But he believes there is something more to him that what had already done. Leonard now finds himself constricted by an ice snakes. It had been difficult for him to breathe and he needed to be free right away. Altohugh, he needed to be careful with his moves, for no one, except Zenshin knows what he could do. Quickly, he requipped swords all around him to break the ice snakes constricting him. After that, he quickly requipped his fire sword, Blazing Inferno Blade and jumped back. While in midair, he cast Dragon Flame aimed at Zenshin. When he landed, he readied his stance and awaited the result. Leonard had now shifted to a defensive strategy.

Impressive. He managed to destroy all of Zenshin's snakes in one go before they could do any real damage, this man was starting to seem more interesting. The mage had sent some sort of fire spell at Zenshin, but it seemed weak enough, so he pulled out his own blade, Ikari, and swung it horizontally. Sure enough, it was deflected to the left and hit the spectator chairs, causing smoke and screams of excitement. The man was now on the defensive, Zen needed to keep up his assault, and his defense would work with what he had planned. He began to walk around Leonard with his left hand extended out, creating a slight, icy fog as he walked round in a counter clockwise circle around his opponent. Once the circle was complete, Zenshin took out a hilt of a blade and grew out the blade, his plan was about to step into motion. With a step forward, he ran at the reequip mage and slid under him, his knife attempting to cut his ankles, and while Leo would most likely be paying attention to him, Zenshin would send out his shuriken from all directions towards Leonard, how would he escape this one?

Leonard didn't expect the mage to have a weapon which he used to deflect the weak spell. But Leonard had no time to be surprised, he needed to be focused. He saw Zen make his move. It was fast and quick and he had his eye on him for any attack he could make. Surrounded by the mist, all Leonard could do was feel his enemy's power so he wouldn't be open with a surprise attack. Zen came and made his move, a blade to the ankle. He was about to parry the attack that would deprive him of his blade and come with an attack of his own but he had noticed there were shurikens flying towards him. It was all too close. There was no time to move, had to make a move right there where he stands. In the nick of time, Leonard requipped his blade armor which saved him from the shuriken and as for Zen's blade he grabbed him on the arm that was holding it and gave him a punch to the head with his gauntlet.

Ooc: for your last sentence, use words like "attempted" when grabbing my arm and punching me : /

Leonard had reequipped more swords around him to clock his shuriken from hurting him, and as for Zen, the reequip mage grabbed his arm and gave him a punch to the face, things were going as planned. After dropping his dagger, he grabbed Leonard's arm as well, locking the two together, then, he moved his legs in such a way that would cause Leonard to fall, after which he would call out another spell, "Ice-Make, Crocodile". After the giant beast would form, Zenshin would still be holding onto Leonard with his arm and leg while, with his other hand, he would snap his fingers, causing the mighty beast to lunge at the fallen guild master with its mouth wide open.

OOC: OK, I apologize.

As Leonard had found himself in another locked situation. Zneshin had forced him to the ground and held onto him while a giant ice crocodile would come in and bite him. Leonard had to escape, fast. On his free arm, he requipped Paladenium. He closed his eyes and used Flash. A quick flash of blinding light erupted from the sword. Zenshin, who was unsuspecting of the flash would have probably let go of Leonard to cover his eyes. When this happens, Leonard would break free from Zenshin's hold and strike down Zen's crocodile. Leonard then moved steps back and pointed the sword upward, casting Divine Punishment. Leonard then pointed the sword towards the dazed Ice-make mage and a crackling beam of light came down from the heavens aimed at Zenshin.

Leonard's little, "escape plan" had failed, what he didn't know is that Zenshin always had very thin layers of dark ice over his eyes to see in the dark, such as his Dark-Ice Dome, and to dim sunlight to a scary degree. So flash to him was like sunlight to a regular person, it just didn't phase him. Now that he had Leo right where he wanted him, he created a small layer of ice under his arm to help with the blade armor that was now cutting him. After wincing somewhat because of this, his crocodile casted a shadow over the pinned mage and bit into his leg with all his might, breaking a few teeth into the process and possibly inflicting frostbite as it tore a bit into his skin. Should Leonard try to use that sword of his to cut him or his creating, Zen had his free hand pointed at Leo's free hand, to shoot a concentration of shuriken at his hand.

Leonard plan didn't work. The crocodile had bitten his leg and caused great pain. Zen had also aimed shuriken at his free hand which no longer wields the sword. However, using his Telekinesis, he sneaked the Paladenium behind Zenshin. Still using his mind, he fired light beams at Zenshin and at the crocodile in close range so they have no time to evade or block it. The beams were powerful enough to shatter the croc and send Zen flying to the side. That gave Leo enough time to stand but with is injured leg, he had to use one his swords as a walking stick. And like what he had intended before, he used Divine Punishment on him.

Much to his surprise, Leonard was able to recover from the crocodile and destroy it, as well as sending him flying away into the side of the the arena. The sky roared and Zenshin's vision got back to him, which let him see Leonard pointing a large, glowing sword at him, Zen had to think fast. "Ice-Make Pillar and Floor!" he said, stepping on the ground. Then, seven large ice pillars began appearing in a straight line, creating layers to defend against the attack, as the floor of the arena was covered in ice. Zenshin iced his feet a bit and created himself some "skates" to maneuver around the ice with, let's see Leo maneuver around a slippery arena with a bum leg he thought. The final, eight pillar formed under the opponent and shot up, as he was probably focusing on the floor and Zenshin at the same time. Leonard's attack sent to him pierced through six of the pillars, it was amazing, the power he had to destroy so many of his pillars. Zenshin finished off his onslaught of spells by raising his hands and saying "Dark-Ice Dome!" covering almost the entire arena, excluding the seats, in a massive, very strong, dome, that sent complete darkness over the two. Then, Zen rushed forward and started shooting out multiple shuriken barrages at Leonard as he skated in a large elliptical around him.

Zenshin had blocked the divine light from above. Now there is a slippery floor and dark dome over their heads. Zenshin really did a good job in immobilizing him. And as for the darkness, the light from the Paladenium was more than enough to brighten up the place and make his see whatever Zenshin was doing. Zenshin was barraging him with his shuriken again. And this time, with that leg of his, he might not be able to defend himself properly. So he requipped his blade wings and and flew so he no longer needed to walk. Requiping a greatsword to his other hand, he deflected each of Zenshin's shuriken. After the barrage, Leonard used Slayer Stance and and charged at Zenshin with great speed and power. He was swinging the blades in a random, unpredictable motion around him so that he would deflect any incoming attack. Also that would serve as his attack when he gets close to Zenshin. And should Zenshin keep his distance he had the Blazing Inferno Blade up in the air in a telekinetic hold ready to fire Dragon Flame.

Zenshin noticed that Leonard's little, sword of holiness, was illuminating his massive some, this was a bummer. But, Leo was getting desperate it seemed, as he charged at Zenshin with a bum leg, on an ice floor, in his dome which was freezing cold by this point, while he had skates on. Instead of keeping his distance, he skated towards Leonard with almost the same speed, rushing towards the center of the dome, he had noticed before that this technique of his had a blind spot, everywhere but the front. Last time he did this, Zen shot at him from everywhere, provoking strong action on Leo's part, and his little glow stick of a sword was weakened due to Zen's dome. As he rushed almost into Leonard's range, he spun on his front foot and menuevered a spin around Leo and to his back with the grace of a skater. As Zen passed the guild master, he whispered "Dark-Ice, Boomerang", causing a giant boomerang to form in his hand and being launched at almost pointblank range with extreme speed and strength due to the dark ice call out of it.

Leonard flew towards Zenshin very quickly and Zenshin did the same thing. As they were near each other, Zenshin stepped to the side and made a boomerang out of dark ice. Clearly his fire sword's Dragon Flame would not be able to change it's path. So he had it fire at Zenshin instead. As for the boomerang, he used his wings to block it and shove it away. When it was gone, he fired a volley of swords at Zenshin after that, he equipped another massive sword and flew towards him keeping up with the swords he fired end end up behind Zenshin. While flying, he charged up his power to the sword and intended to swing to him from behind in an upward motion.

Zenshin sighed, looks like he had to use it, a spell he wish had never developed itself, but it was under control, enough anyways, to be used in battles. "Benumb, Dark-Ice" said Zen, as the first volley of swords was upon him, and then, he disappeared in an instant. Zen reappeared behind Leonard, with a twisted grin on his face, as he attempted to grab his wings, and tear them off, as well as kicking his already hurt leg as hard as he could. "Dark-Ice, Peregrine Falcon!" he called out, summoning a massive falcon that towered over Leo in comparison, which proceeded to flap its wings and blew away his swords and even Leonard. Zen finished off by casting another spell, to bind Leonard since he was so close, "Dark-Ice, Snakes!"

Benumb Dark-Ice, these word echoed as Zenshin used this spell. Zenshin had been giving it all he's got on Leonard. Evidence of it was he summoned a giant falcon to blow him away and he summoned snakes as well to constrict him like before. Clearly Zenshin wants Leonard to submit. But Leonard also decided to cast strong spells of his own. Concentrating his power, a strong gust of wind blew inside the dome. And as time wnet by, the wind became stronger, and harder. Mere moments passed and the winds started slicing everything near Leonard inside the dome to the extent that freed him from the snakes and rode the wind "Bladestorm:Milenyo" Leonard said, and the winds blew harder to the extent that it broke the dome as well. Fortunately for Leonard, Zenshin was in range of the spell all this time. However, he had shaped the swords that the wind was carrying into a non-lethal state. So that even if Zenshin gets hit by them he wouldn't be ripped apart and only recieve cuts all over his body. As he rode the wind, he focused much of the winds to Zenshin, putting much pressure to it so that he'd stay down as Leonard approches the Ice Mage.

Ooc: I thought Milenyo didn't allow you to move?

The dome was finally broken after the time was finished, it being shattered by what seemed like Leonard's most powerful spell, which seemed to be turned non-lethal. Who did Leo think he was? If he wanted to win, he couldn't hold back on Zen, why he did, was beyond him. Zenshin was unluckily in range and the wind being put on him was strengthened, another mistake. He stood, knees bent, as it got heavier, and in another instant, he was gone. Zen developed the spell "Peregrine Falcon" specifically because it was the fastest animal alive, or that he knew of, and it being a bird helped as well. It lifted Zenshin and went up high, taking a few of the weakened swords to the stomach, and breaking through the wind with its sharp beak, thanks to his dark-ice, it was even faster than normal. Zen would just wait up in the air until this spell of Leonards subsided.

OOC: I'm pretty sure I could...

Leonard got pissed as Zenshin was able to escape with that big falcon of his. He somewhat regretted that he reduced the blade's sharpness in order for them to not kill him. Now Zenshin is at the sky, out of his spell's range. What Leonard did now was return the lethal sharpness of his blades. It's no longer his fault of Zenshin dies. But Leonard was confident that Zenshin wouldn't die. Next, he held two swords and attached long unbreakable chains to each of them and threw them at Zenshin. And when caught him, he would pull him down with all his might. And should Leonard be the one pulled to them instead, Zenshin would risk being in range of Milenyo again.

Ooc: It says that it's a channeling and that he cant O_o?

Apparently, Leo believed that he could just anchor some swords into his falcon and pull him in, what was he thinking? Was the blood loss getting to him or what, if that spell didn't mess up the trajectory, he knew that his falcon certainly would. The blades were coming at him at great speeds, but still, it was open air. At the snap of his fingers, the bird flapped its wings once, hard, sending two powerful gusts of winds through the swords and directly at Leonard, hopefully they'd make it through, being powered by the dark-ice that made the bird. The time was up for the falcon, Zen jumped off of it, and it evaporated into the air. Instead of just plummeting right into the air, Zen created his most powerful animate spell, powered by dark-ice as well, "Dark-Ice, Dragon!"

OOC: Well that's messed up... Channeling in a way that he couldn't really do much...

Leonard had become very frustrated. Everything wasn't going according to plan. Zenshin sits atop his dragon. Although he knew Zenshin wouldn't come down from it now that the swords are sharp again. Leonard looked down and sighed. He thought that, perhaps, this time is crucial. It could give him what he has been lacking, concentration. He sat down in an Indian sit and cleared his mind and focused as the blades swirl around him. He couldn't know what Zenshin had in store for him. So, as always, he needed to be ready for anything.
