It was another day in the guildhall of Basilisk Fang, the guild hall had a decent amount of members in it today but one in particular was not feeling up to mingling with the others. Sol was near the stairs leaning against the walls with his arms crossed. He was trying to keep himself amused without resorting to torture or bloodshed but since they had no prisoners for him to mess with the slayer was rather bored at the moment.

Gancing up at the higher level Sol caught sight of the blond guild master looking down at them from above and he decided to visit for a while.”its better then staying down here and being bored out of my mind” he muttered as he climbed the stairs and approached the guild master.” something on your mind master Famine?” he asked as he stopped beside her and turned to look at the guild below as well.

“Oh, Sol.” A pleasant, muffled, laugh bubbled from within her throat, blue azure irises gazing down to her serpents at the level below them.”tsk. I was just thinking how much help this guild could use, I mean just look. Famine hissed and her head bowed further below to gesture to the members bellow, noting the ones she found just a little too insane, reckless even. as she leaned off the railed end slightly. “Barbaric children, savages, maniacs. I really expected more from my loyal chess pieces…”  She glimmered over her shoulder at the slayer. There was a pause.“...They should be more like you. Famine quoted, a smile spilling up her lips, spreading that sinisterness up her features like a virus, swiveling her form around to completely face him.

Marked arms folded behind her back in a stance of authority as she slid towards Sol, “You need to be their example don’t you think?~....” She murmured leaning up to him, unable to meet his height even on her toes.

"Don't inflate his ego now," Kanix teased, appearing next to the duo and aiming to rest an arm on Famine's shoulder. Luckily, she was only an inch shorter than the guild master, so even then she could still reach her shoulders. "He's already standing high and mighty with that castle of his, you'd think it'd be making up for something he doesn't have." Her remark was oddly cruel, but she giggled anyway, her sightless gaze settling apprehensively on the slayer. She would peel her arm off the guild master's should now and lean against the railing, flickering her blue gaze toward the other woman. Clearly, she had entered at an awkward time, as she wasn't aware of the fits over her minions that Famine would throw.

Besides, she was the newest member to the guild and asserting herself among her guild-mates already was highly unexpected.

Sol heard her say that the guild could use more help and gestured down at the members below, she called them barbarians savages and maniacs and explained that she expected more for her pawns that what she got. The slayer nodded to her as he knew what she meant only a few select members of the guild Sol actually liked with Famine Kanix and formerly Nykyrian being his closest friends here. Upon hearing the blond mage tell him that they should be more like him Sol felt surprise hit him before he smirked a bit.”well I am the most mentally stable here I think” he said seeing the smile on her face match his own in wickedness.

I do try to be an example but so many of them are problem children. still its nice to know you have such faith in my Mistess” he said as his house guest Kanix appeared and put an arm around Famine stating that he was already acting high and mighty with his castle she wondered if she was compensating for something.” belive me Kanix I’m not compensating for anything or would you like me to prove it to you?” he teased with sly smile on his face even though the shaman wouldn’t see it.

Famine turned as the girl, closer to her height than anyone had been in a while, approached and laid an arm at her shoulder. While The Guild master felt inclined to shoo the girl away at first she couldn’t help but feel her lips curl up into a smirk at her snarky comment, humored. Icy irises skimmed after the new female with a visible chill as she’d shift to lean into the guard rail.

Before Famine could begin to inquire the females Identity Sols voice broke out behind her again, addressing her by a name she whish she had learned sooner, Khanix. Famine rested a palm up to her chin, lids half closing as she cooed a quiet chuckle

“You two know one another, hmn?”

Kanix was silent, grinned at Sol from his response, then reeled around to stare down at the mages on the first floor.

"Oh, wouldn't you like to show me," she rumbled to the space in front of her, though it was loud enough for the two of them to hear.

The people below all had some sort of potential to her, both in the living world and in the afterlife, given if they died. She hated to think that they would be tossed away like rotten morsels of food that the predator didn't want to eat. The blind mage frowned for a second, tapping her fingertips against the railing and contemplating the future. It was all too broad to her though, she couldn't pinpoint things exact, couldn't focus on one thing or another like how she wanted to. Perhaps, they all had fleeting lives, and Famine was in the right to just discard them like they were unnecessary items of war.

At the guild master's words, the shaman spun on her heels to face her, giving a small shrug for the beginning of her reply. "He only offered me a place in his castle, free of charge; other than that, it's just bits of information I'm given. I mean, I know more about him now, but I wonder if he knows much about me or if he's still in the dark." A sly smile spread across her lips again and she stood up in a straighter position, crossing her arms over her chest.

"But if all we had around here were people like Sol, don't you think it would get old quicker than you think? All those bodies down there, rotting away in the molding of Sol's image, lay waste to the world as a whole for being so bland and old. They're deserving to be unique. Creatures of potential, you just have to sift around in that head of theirs for it." She made a little swirling motion with her forefinger, then dropped her hand back against her forearm.

Sol smirked even wider at Kanix as she tried to jab at him again," I’m ready here and now I’m sure that we have a spare room somewhere around here.” he retorted with a slight purr of suggestion in his voice. When Famine asked if they knew each other Sol glanced over to her.”she is right I offered her room in my castle but in exchange while there she has to listen to my every command I may be an evil man but for those people I actually don’t mind I take care of” he explained before he remembered what he needed to give Famine.

Oh yes Master Famine I brought some of the fruits of my research for you just incase you were interested.” the slayer said pulling out three small jars one of red liquid, one with black liquid, and one with slightly glowing pink liquid. Kanix had seen these before when they had been taking a tour of the castle but he hoped that Famine would find use for them.”the black one is a powerful fear poison that will induce those exposed into having fearful hallucinations and cause mass panic, the red one is concentrated pheromones for distractions or making assassinations easier and the last one is something I concocted for torture or use in the bedroom depending on how you use it” he explained as he set the jars in front of Famine on the rail.

Hearing the blind shaman say that the mages shouldn’t be like him and that they should be unique made Sol snort.”the question that is more important is how useful are they to us and if so how can we be sure they won’t fuck up or give up information to the enemy” he said as he watched some of the mages below getting cocky and started to approach his pet Panzer in the corner, the slayer smirked as he knew it would be the last thing they would ever do.

“Please, save it for the castle you two.” The guild master bit having been put right between their snarky replies. She vexed unsure whether the two actually had some weird romance or this kind of teasing was common between them. Azure pools spilt back over the railing, following the poisons as he set each down, her brow rose with a bit of inquiry as she took the pink one in her palm. Her index finger pointed, wrist twirling in a bit of a circle as a small black vortex opened to suck in both the black and red venoms into the vortex for later. “Bedroom hmn? Then maybe you should hold onto this one Sol. You seem rather flirtatious today.” She murmured, the words didn’t even present a smile to her lips. She twisted and led the glass tube  around in a sort of game between her shifting fingers, entertaining herself as Sol retorted against Kanix. To the guild master, he was in the right.

With a flick of her wrist Famine tossed the vial back to the slayer, relying on him to make the unforeseen catch as Famine craned her head to Kanix. “You and the other mages can be unique as you desire but only AFTER you see to your tasks. Wanna be cocky and crazy go for it but if you or anyone dares fraternize any information with anyone outside they and whomever was told dies by my hand. Nor do you or anyone here dare feed barbaric bloodlust out in the open, were not savages, we don’t want the council or its pawns flanking the members here.”

"That's a good point, Sol, but it's at that point that you need to put your trust in them for just a little while longer. Reprimand them, teach that one wrong move and their life will be yours. . . or face eternal servitude to me in the afterlife," Kanix stated, shrugging. Her glazed over gaze shifted toward Famine as she spoke about the potions, but the shaman ignored her words. She only smiled slightly when Famine commented the flirtatiousness of Sol, meaning her work was not in vain. Clearing her throat, she let her arms drop to her sides and leaned back against the railing again. "I guess, in that sense, just teach them to be as loyal as you are. You'd be willing to do as the Master commands, even die for her? I would. . ." Just as she said that, Famine commented to her she was just like the little mages down below.

"One. . . two. . . three. . ." she started counting randomly, having rolled back over to stare down below. A shiver ran down her spine and she straightened up again, eyes wide and ever more sightless than they already were. "Over half of those people down there kill for the bloodlust, I bet you. Or I should say that knowledge has been shared with me. Maybe not over half, but quite a few is my guess. . . I can't give an exact number, but I gave an estimate."

Sol just shrugged Famines comment about the bedroom off as Kanix was simply a friend and he enjoyed getting a rise out of her from time to time. As he caught the vial that Famine toss at him without batting an eye lash and he gained a foxy grin when she mentioned his behavior today.”I guess I will keep it for now, but I can’t seem to help myself today not when I am around gorgeous women like yourself Mistress” he complemented

Kanix then decided to bring up that the guild members needed to be taught to be as loyal as Sol and then questioned he was was willing to die for this guild and for Famine if need be.”My loyalty is to the guild and the guild master if she was to ask that of me I would do it” he stated adamantly and with an edge to his voice. He was a loyal member of the guild and he did not like having someone question his loyalty and his ability to follow orders.

The dark haired demon glanced down at the mages near Panzer while Kanix and Famine decided to get into a debate about how the guild members should behave and Famine was espically strict on not being a savage and showing unnecessary bloodlust outside the guild. After she said that Panzer decided to strike and suddenly took a huge bite out of one of the mages midsection before it knocked another one down and broke his leg with one of its heavy metal limbs.”Panzer what did I tell you about playing with your food” he barked at the machine which glanced up at him before it turned back to the downed mage and delivered a powerful bite to the mans skul crushing it like a grape.”Sorry Master Famine I’ll make sure that gets cleaned up” he said before addressing Kanixes words.”Master Famine is correct we don’t want unnecessary bloodlust being shown and while your right that most of us here have a great deal of blood lust it depends on if we can put a lid on it outside in public. The last thing I want is unwanted visitors here or at my castle” he stated as he crossed his arms over his chest and turned back to look at the guild mages and the machine currently guarding its kills.

Oh, haven’t you kissed up to me enough?” Famine mumbled, lowering her eyes down the ledge and into the guilds main room. Though as her sapphire hues set she saw something which she could not look away from… the gore as her guild mates, even the ones she detested for their brutality.

Fingers clenching over the rain, Famine whipped her head back to face the slayer displeased.
“Get that damned thing under control, Sol!.....” She bit, arms stiffening down at her side. The death of an outsider she could stomach but one of her own, in this building would not be appreciated. Sure it seemed as though she treated the members as loyal pawns, but they were not as disposable as one would have thought. Famine had become a woman who valued her possessions especially with so few hands left in the hall and even fewer in caliber to the legal forces.

Kanix crouched below the railing, pressing her forehead against the railing as a shiver rain down her spine. "Stupid beast," the mage growled inaudibly toward Panzer, despising how the creature had simply eaten one of them. "I did not say you could take their lives, you insolent beast. Why must you eat those who only approach you to pass by." The woman hissed out her words before she yanked herself back up to a standing position and stared down at the doggish fiend.

She would whirl on her toes to face Famine again, glaring at her with her sightless eyes before turning away. The shaman didn't feel like dealing with the woman and explaining that she was not sucking up in the least bit. That was Sol's job for all she cared; besides, the guild master appeared to her as someone who liked him more than anyone else. Kanix cleared her throat, restrained from saying what she wanted to, and kept to herself for a few moments longer. "I don't know. . ." Kanix rumbled out at first, hesitating in continuing what she wanted to say to Famine. "Oh. . . perhaps. . . perhaps. . . perhaps. . ." She continued to mumble to herself, but never once said what she wanted to say to the Master.

"What's this? I recall you saying that those down there are just pawns in your game of chess, but here you are fretting over the death of a simple pawn. . ." Kanix retorted.

Sol shook his head” I’m being honest Master Famine” he said seriously, he normally never vocalized it but he found the shorter woman to be highly attractive but considering she was the guild master Sol highly doubted she would want to date him though he thought about asking on multiple occasions. When Kanix decided to insult his pet calling it stupid and insolet his eyes hardened.”I suggest you watch your tongue about my pet he is smarter then you think he is just territorial” he snapped at the blind woman with venom in his tone before he sighed when Famine told him to get Panzer under control.

Yes Mistress” he said apologetically before he turned his gaze to Panzer who was stalking around the bodies aggressively.”Panzer your not to harm anyone with our guild mark understand unless your in extreme danger your not to harm them now go bury those two NOW!” he told the machine with authority in his tone and he snapped at the end, the beast like machine instantly stopped its prowling and it moved the two bodies before it opened its mouth and sprayed a light acid solution that would take care of the bold and remnets that remained before it opened its jaws again and took the two bodies gently and started to carry them outside to bury them by the guild.

As he watched the machine lumber away Sol suddenly felt a wave of sickness come over him and he leaned against the rail as he suddenly broke out into a cold sweat, the slayer had no idea what was going on but it wasn’t normal as he felt his temperature spiking then dropping. He felt sick to his stomach and he was so focused on it that he didn’t hear Kanix make a jab at the guild master.

Famine didn’t think she was giving of her tome’s aura… "Pawns are still pieces, not absolute garbage… Unless you’d like me to treat you as something so easily disposed of I’d quit whatever you're getting at." She hissed, eyes sliding back over to Sol’s suddenly disturbed form. “ I liked you a little at first Kanix, Though your mouth has made you pretty bother some… How can I say this politely? Shut up.” The shadow witch murmured, her azure irises never pulling away from the slayer. It couldn’t be her aura causing this. Heck she hadn’t even summoned the weapon of the apocalypse; she’d sent it to her own black realm with the poisons he had previously presented. The one which made everyone remotely close in proximity to her. “Stand and tell me what’s come over you or I Will give you something to cringe over…” Famine murmured, ordering Sol to find his footing again. “You know as great as I do what becomes of the weak and insufficient.” Her words spliced from her tongue had tilting downwards to the robotic snake dragging the corpses away, her hood shifting slightly from her cranium.

    CALL OF THEWILD
    A Moment of Contemplation (Sol/Famine/ Open) Tumblr12
The woman shut her mouth, but glared blindly at the guild master, her knuckles white as she gripped her staff. Who was to say that Famine liked her from the start at all? She merely could have been lying to the woman for all she knew. However, the truth was that she was trying too hard to get Famine to like her, trying to show off everything she could do. Well, that wasn't working, and the next step was to be an obedient dog to its master, so that's what she was going to be. Kanix's glare relaxed and her gaze shifted to Sol, but she didn't say anything to the poison slayer in return. What more was there to say when it was clear that they were both beginning to hate her the more she talked? After all, she only made mistake after mistake, and it was best that children were only seen and never heard.

She didn't budge, didn't say a word when Sol wavered in his form and nearly collapsed to the ground, the railing his aide. Kanix remained a statue, her sightless, iridescent, blue eyes watching the supposedly stronger mage as she listened to him. The shaman listened to everything about him: his breathing, his movements, the words that would spill out of his mouth next. As much as she wanted to help him, Kanix feared that if she did try, Famine would snap her neck over it. Though she would not succumb to the fear that the guild master imposed, she did not make a move toward the slayer. All she did was watch in a wrapped up bow of emotionless, stone-cold heartlessness as much as it hurt her to do so. Her mind raced with every thought, movement, and words she wanted to express, but her body couldn't find the strength to move.

Kanix didn't fully understand why she was suddenly so obedient, why she didn't defy the words of Famine, but stayed where she was. The expression on her face wasn't emotionless though, it showed a disapproving look toward the poison slayer. As if she was disappointed that he would let himself capitulate to the illness that now swept over the man. It wasn't her own emotions she displayed, but the emotions she figured Famine would want her to display. A guildmate was still a guildmate, but a weakness is a flaw in a person that is not worth the time of day. Show that weakness and it becomes one's downfall, and here in Basilisk Fang, weaknesses were for those who wanted to die. No sense of death was here though, none at all, just the sickening smell of illness and sweat filling the air.

A cold chill ran down her spine, as she was finally aware that no matter how much she searched her mind, nothing came to. No idea of what was happening to Sol rose up from the ashes of her mind to tell her what was going on. Nothing. It was a deadened world there in her head, black and imageless as her precognition refused to work.

What is happening? she thought to herself, hearing straining for every sound to let her in on the details.

"Why are you just standing there?" Kanix rumbled lowly to herself, eyes narrowed as she stared at Sol. "Can't you see that he's hurting? We must do something about it. He's a guildmate after all; they matter!"

"You heard Famine! You've done enough talking! Can't you just shut up for once?" she scolded herself in a quiet tone. "Let me take control for a while. You're just ruining every potential good thing that could possibly happen to us!"

"I don't care! It's Sol! He's being nice to us! Why can't we do something in return?" she spat at herself harshly, an angered look crossing her face.

"Don't you see, you foolish child? This guild doesn't care what happens to the weak! Let him die for all I care," Kanix growled out, teeth gritted and grinding together.

"H-how can you so coldly say that?" her facial expression changed to a dampened, pained look as she spoke softly.

"How? Easy! I'm not weak, like you happen to be," the woman scoffed, her posture becoming straighter and a cocky expression settling on her features. She was now glaring at Sol with the disapproving and disappointed look again, her staff holding her strange, stick straight posture.

"I’m unsure Mistress I just suddenly got hit with a wave of sickness” he said as he forced himself to his feet and he tried his best to focus on not loosing consciousness.from the shadow behind Sol a glowing green eye appeared along with a eerie smile before it rose up and  hung behind the slayer “ don’t mind him he is just going thru the final step to becoming a true demon he is just having some discomfort aren’t ya Soly Boy?” it asked as Sol growled at it. “Speak your yourself I thought I had already made the transformation” he said in a sour tone as the shadow just seemed to grin wider.

Oh no not yet that was just the halfway point now your gonna finish and its gonna hurt try not to scream”  it said in a giddy tone as Sol felt another wave of sickness hit him along with searing pain thru all of his body,he strugged to stay standing but managed to keep himself upright before another wave hit the slayer and made him grab the rail as he  bit his lip and drew blood as he kept himself  silent as he refused to even whimper in pain.

After another moment Sol suddenly started to leak poison from his body before it suddenly covered him like a cocoon  and obscured him from sight.”oh here we go” the shadow said with Glee before it suddenly faded away. As it vanished the poison cocoon surronding the slayer faded awat and revealed that the man had gone thru a transformation. His hair was no longer black but it was shorter and had turned a shade of green, his skin tone was much less pale then before and as the slayer opened his eyes to look at both Kanix and Famine they were revealed to no longer be blood red but had changed to a golden yellow color and were sightly slitted like a snakes. Sol  cracked his neck a bit and stretched his limbs.”Damn demon didn’t tell me that I had to deal with two transformations that hurt like hell” he grumbled before he bowed to Famine.”I’m sorry for that little incidnet Mistress please forgive me” he stated apologetically .

“Though it may be hard to accept we cannot let the weak hang by our heels. One day I’ll bleed, dying. That’s when you and everyone else in this guild must choose from two options. Leave me be to fade or kill me yourself. It’s a predatory cycle but a natural one.” Famine retorted, saying more words than she had felt used too for a woman of the dark. “You’re talking to yourself, Kanix, choose the strongest side or let the weakness consume you.” The guild master craned her neck over her shoulder to gaze upon the blind and conflicted mage.
It was when Sol spoke though pain and his monster made themselves present. Famines mouth remained shut. A demon was typically a menace to carry on with and creature of such a crude personality that even the most patient could not speak without grinding their teeth. Only when the form disappeared bac into the slayer did Famine open up to him.
“A demon is not something’s kind to schedule events like that, Sol.” Famine put,  a stillness in her eyes. With a flick of her fingers she zapped open that small black vortex into the shadow realm, her cherished tome ripping through the opened threads of timelessness and space to smack into her hands, a plume of dust wafting out into the air from the pages. “The Tome of Famine, A Relics who’s powers had been acclaimed to drive even the stubbornest of souls to the brink of their own madness.” She spoke, holding the item with pride ”I’ve just accepted and embraced the word of my god to its full potential and thus Lord Famine has blessed me to carry out his work.“ She began to preach, cradling the volume between her marked arms and holding it against her chest. ”Though it brings you great suffering and turmoil oblige to your demon for when you finally give up your body you live in a rush like nothing you've ever felt before.“

Kanix cleared her throat and narrowed her eyes, not at Sol or Famine, but at the thoughts she was thinking to herself. She had questions on her mind for the two of them, though she was frightful of asking such stupid ideas to them. After all, Famine had shot her down enough, Sol was likely about to do the same if she continued, so she didn't say anything. The woman let her gaze drop from where it had been staring, quietly listening to Sol apologizing to his "mistress." Then Famine began to ramble on about her supposed god and how one should just let the demon consume them from the inside out. When she thought about it, she didn't really understand what either of them were talking about, and that was likely because of her lack of sympathy. While she had gone through things, herself, the things she experienced were nothing like the things they had experienced.

Neither was she able to relate to what they were saying or cared to understand what they were talking about. Thus, she kept herself silent and ever listening, running ideas through her head as how to get things really rolling. She cared very little of their merrymaking and relations, as she would much rather talk of something more interesting. "Lord Famine? Is that who you named yourself after?" Kanix asked, lifting her head to look at the guild master. Maybe she hadn't thought that Famine wasn't her actual name because as far as she believed, it had been. "Why didn't you keep your real name?" Maybe it was demons she didn't fully understand.

Sol just stood there as Famine told Kanix to either accept her stronger side of become weak like many of the other mages in the guild. The slayer was rather interested as the guild master decided to explain her book to them and how she came to gain her power and carried out her deitys will.”I have already given up my body to the demons master Famine and all for the sake of my goal.” he said before he suddenly grinned at both her and Kanix and revealed razor sharp fangs as his eyes became even more slitted and evil looking. “I plan to remove any other dragon slayers in my path before I go after Achnologia himself, I’m not going to stop untill I take the Dragon Kings throne for myself!”he declared as his features returned to normal though his tone had been full of conviction and yet the desire for more power was still there.

Sol had truly allowed himself to fall and let the darkness take his soul as the desire for power kept growing in him, hearing Kanix ask why Famine named her self after the one she worshipped made the green haired man scoff a bit, what did it matter if the blond had changed her name if she wanted them to know her real name she would tell them.
