Time for Reseach (Stein/ Social)

Sol sighed as he walked thru the Spooky Woods and towards the mansion that resided there, he knew the person he was meeting was a fellow mage from Basilisk Fang so he understood the appeal of living out here where legal mages dared not go, though Sol knew that his home up in the mountains was much harder to get to and even more to attack. As the mansion came in sight Sol removed Lohengrin from his back and held it in one hand just in case he ran into trouble after all who knew if this Stein person had booby traps or monsters lurking around.

“uh why did the master have to send me here she said I might be of help but I’m not so sure” the slayer mumbled as he wondered just how useful he could actually be to the good doctor.

Stein was down in his lab when the proximity alarm went off. Looking at the monitor he saw it was a fellow guild member that he was told to work with. Walking to the computer he pressed and held the spacebar on the keyboard, while holding it a speaker raised up up new his guildmate. "Just come into the mansion go down the stairs behind the only door in sight and ride the train to the lab I'll meet you at the entrance in a few minutes." After saying that he released the spacebar causing the speaker to sink back into the ground. He took the current test subject's charts with him as he left to meet Sol at the lab entrance.

Sol tensed slightly when he saw something rise up but once Stein told him to just enter the mansion and go down the stairs the slayer calmed down and put his sword on his back again. The man entered the building and he sniffed around catching many different scents but many of them were old except for one which he assumed was Steins. He quickly headed down the stairs feeling a little uneasy since the doctor had told him he would have to ride a train and he took a deep breath before he stepped onto the train and waited for it to move with dread.

Once the wheels started to move the demon felt his stomach turn as his pale face tinged green and he held onto the bar beside him for dear life, he tried as hard as he could not to vomit on the floor of the train since Sol got the feeling Stein wouldn’t like it. After what felt like forever the train stopped and Sol sat there for a few moments before finally standing and walking out of the vehicle from hell.”I hate vehicles” he grumbled as he still felt a bit sick as he waited for Stein to show up.

Stepping out onto the train wait area Stein saw Sol trying to keep from throwing up. "Welcome Sol if you follow me and go over the first experiment's charts to see what we'll be doing today." He said handing the charts to him before they walked into the lab. As they walked in the lights started to flash yellow before a sanitizing cloud was filling the room. "This is just so there isn't any outside contamination brought into the lab." Stein said after the room was cleared of the sanitizing cloud. Once they were done with the cleaning process Stein escorted Sol through the lab facility to the area they'll be working. It took about ten minutes since they had to take the stairs instead of the elevator system.

The area they were working had twenty people of varying ages, races, and genders curled up in containers floating in a blue liquid. Near the monitors was the extra papers with the information on each person in the containers and a pair of really old wedding rings floating above the left back corner of the desk. "we'll start once you take a look at each of them and decide on which one you want to start the experiments on." Stein said as he walked to the desk to spread out the information on the people in the containers.

Sol pulled himself up and took the charts for Stein as he nodded.”thank you for having me here I’m still unsure where I fit in all this as my specialty is chemicals poisons and machines but if the master thinks I can be of use who am I to argue” he stated as he started to go thru the charts to see what it was they were doing today as he walked behind the man, as the sanitation cloud hit them Sol grimaced at the smell of it”makes sense” he mumbled as he finished reading the charts, from the data on the charts Sol got the concept that they were working on making super soldiers for the guild but he was unsure how well this would work.

Stein told the slayer they would start once he had looked at all of them and picked one for them to start on, the demon simply nodded and he placed the charts down and started to walk past the containers looking at the people and the date with them with careful and calculating eyes. After a few moments of pacing back and forth between the containrs Sol Finally setteled on one.”This one first I think he might handle the exparaments for a decent amount of time” he said as he pointed to the container, it held a dark skinned man in his mid 30s.”so whats the first experiment” he asked as he waited for stein to tell him what was next .

Bringing up a three dimensional model of the one Sol chose he looked over the data on this one. "Let's see... this one was a Rune Knight I was able to capture. He was a member of one of the medical cores from the area." Stein said as he continued to bring up more models for this particular subject. Hitting a few keys all the other containers sank into the ground before where they were at was covered by a floor panel. "It seems this one is capable of using a minor form of healing magic which will pose an issue if he regains consciousness since there is a chance he can reverse our efforts. I'll let you work on creating a serum that will alter his mind to make him a mindless puppet." He said while typing away on the keyboard as all the models they'll need for this test.

Standing up from his chair Stein started to walk towards the entrance to the room. "If you'll follow me I'll show you the room you can work on the chemical serums needed for this test." He said as they walked into an open chemical room before transferring the data from the other room to here. "You can test the serum by putting a drop in this analyzer." He said before letting Sol get to work and headed back to the other room.

“Hmm a rune knight huh? All the more fitting that he will be turned against the people he swore to protect” the slayer muttered as he looked at the three dimensional mode with interest. At the mention of the man using healing magic Sol sighed why did his life always have to be hard.”That does present a problem but no worries I could make such a serum in my sleep just lead the way” he said with a confident tone as he trailed stein into the chemical room.

Upon being given the data on a moniter and access to all the chemicals he would need the slayer instantly grinned and started to grab beakers and test tubes of different chemicals, Sol started sniff the chemicals before he started to slowly mix a few of the chemicals together a few causing fumes to go into the air before he sucked them in and licked his lips. The slayer focused for a moment before he bit his lip and gathered a small amount of blood before he dropped it into the beaker causing the blood to shift to a neurotoxin.

After swishing the mixuture around a bit the color of it shifted from clear to a dull green and the slayer took a dropper and placed a drop of the liquid on the analyzer, the machine flashed date on the screen for a good few moments before it alerted Sol to an error. The mixture needed to be heated before it could be of use.”ah that should be easy to fix .’he exclaimed before he quickly lit a Bunsen burner and placed the beaker above it and watched as the mixture started to bubble before he took the dropper again and watched as the screen told him it was ready.

The slayer walked out the doors back to Stein and he held up the jar with a wide grin.”Its all ready Stein it should cut off most higher brain function such as free will and make the subject simple but smart enough to learn simple commands and in worst cases we can simply reprogram them”

Taking the beaker from Sol he walked over to the container and hit a few keys on it causing a tray to pop out. Pouring the contents of the beaker onto the tray it slowly retracted as the serum started to mix with the liquid in the container. "It should take a few minutes for the first few signs of whether it bonds with the subject properly." Stein said as he went back to his computer. The data on the screen started to show the change in the subject's chemical responses in their brain. *Sigh* "This isn't good. It seems the serum is having a negative reaction within the test subject. I'll try doing what I can to prevent it from dying." He said while typing on the keyboard at an amazing speed.

While Stein was typing the container began to drain as a syringe popped up inside taking a sample of the subject's blood. With all of the lab rooms systems working on a way to fix the damage being done while doing a complete genetic scan of his blood. "ERROR ERROR ERROR ERROR." Started to flash on the screen as the subject started to move as if they were waking up. "Crap the serum did make his mind blank, but it seems there was a negative response causing him to start going feral. Empty the container to the pit." Stein said as the subject dropped out of the container, before the sound of flesh ripping and bones snapping could be heard from the container.

"It seemed that one had a bizarre allergic reaction to that serum, but oh well there is still plenty more to test on. Hmm... maybe this time we can try subject number four." With that said a large container popped up with an adult male lizardfolk.

Sol watched with intrest as Stein took his misture and poured it into a tray before it started to flow into the tank and effect the subject. As the man started to twitch and appeared to prepair to wake up the slayer flexed his fingers incase he needed to quickly cast a spell to repel the feral human , however Stein already was a step ahead of him and dropped the human down a hole before the sounds of someone being ripped apart could be heard.’well at lest that’s efficient but its such a shame he didn’t last longer,”

“Will I need to create another batch of the serum Stein or would you rather I scrap that recipe and make a new one” he asked as the next subject popped up and Sols eyes suddenly lit up with intreast.”oh this should be good” he said with a wide grin on his face.
