Personality:

If I could use one word to describe El it would be “unique”. Comparing his existence to other existences on this world one would see that he differs a lot. And it is because he differs that he has, as some people would put it, cut himself off from people. To be frank El isn’t that much fond of people. He usually has no hope in them. Rare cases asides, before El gets to know someone to him they are a moronic asshole. Perhaps one could classify El as a nihilist. Despite his nihilistic nature he has managed to develop quite the sense of humor. Albeit cynical and somewhat black.  

The reasons behind his unorthodox views on people cannot be simply explained in a couple of mere paragraphs. Maybe his brilliant mind is what drove him to alienate himself. Maybe not. Although what is certain is that his mind and attitude made him attracted to knowledge and power. Put him in a strange position. On top of a rope that hangs both close to the light and the dark side. El is either forced to walk in a straight line in the path he has chosen, or to fall. Weather he ends up in one of the two sides or he carves his own path after his fall is unknown.
Even though El might seem…plain weird, the way he has shaped himself up gave him the ability to always take advantage of the opportunities he gets. However in order to achieve that outcome El had to throw away quite a bit of his moral values. All of these drove El to become what is known by society as a lone wolf. Thing is, he dislikes lone wolves. A wolf is straightforward and while brave and loyal will often bend. Due to their loyal nature wolves are easy to form relationships with. Wolves trust other easily because deep inside they need the support of others, in the end a wolf will always need his pack. On the other hand though, jackals never live in packs. They are sturdy, wicked and cunning enough to survive by themselves. Their trust is hard to earn and they don’t form relationships with ease. However when they do they can display ten times the ferociousness of a wolf to preserve and protect those close to them. Jackals are as unique as El himself. He is quite hopeful that if jackals were humans they would be just like him. Hence he chose the nickname Jackal.

Since forever El dreamt big. His goals were always larger and harder to reach than the ones of his peers. That of course is valid if we really classify people his age as his peers. Although something like that is a bit far-fetched. This drove him to master many skills in his life. Artistic, intellectual and martial skills and of course magic. Upon forming his views on people and as a result society itself Jackal found a new goal. A goal even greater and even harder to achieve. El wanted to fix the world. To open the eyes of people. So one day he sat and tried to think of all the possible ways he could achieve this. In the end he could only come up with one thing. World conquering. Or as he puts it: world illumination. This further drove him to become better at everything he already knew and to also learn as much things as possible.

Using fewer words we could say that El is a genius, far above his “peers”. So far that he thinks on a different level. What level? One above you for sure. He is driven by his lust for knowledge and power. Due to him being alienated his views on the people and society are the worst possible. Thus he seeks to refine the world and wake up the masses. So albeit being a generous genius, El is a so far a nihilistic loner.

In battle El is really able to shine. Due to him being proficient both in planning combat and taking part in it he truly can be seen as a hero of the battlefield. El is a powerful asset. Either he is in front of or behind the lines. He also tends to be very calculative, not showing his real might till it is absolutely needed. His mistrust of people makes it hard for him to work under someone else’s leadership. However if El has the tiniest bit of trust in them then things differ. El then becomes a tool of battle. Obeying every command with an exception made on overly stupid ones.  

It may seem weird but Dawnson really has a knack for leading. Either if he is leading on the battlefield or carefully pulling the strings from afar. Above all else though he treats his comrades with respect and values them as important allies. Though there are some cases where he will treat someone as disposable. However this is quite the rare occurrence. While El is pretty good at both being a battlefield leader and a strategic leader, the boost in morale his comrades receive when he leads in battle makes him more suitable to the former.

Likes:

Artistic stuff: Anything that has to do with art is either a hobby of El or something he admires. As mentioned he knows the arts of painting, drawing and writing. While he doesn’t know anything about music or poetry and such, he does fancy to listen to music. His favorite genres are punk rock and rap.

Reading: A favorite pastime of El’s. Over the course of his still young life, El has read more than a thousand books. Some of them are of scientific nature while others are fantasy and sci-fi novels. His top ten books list contains books such as: Larry Dotter, Galactic Wars, Whole Piece and other well-known books. Though his all-time favorite is Tales of Gods and Demons.

Normal stuff: Even though he is nihilistic and a loner El is still interested in stuff a normal 20 year old guy would do. Going out with friends, providing he has some, or getting a girlfriend. In both cases he has some troubles, though the latter is more improbable to happen since he is somewhat shy around girls. Drinking should also not be left out. For your information drinking is what El has the most success with out of the stuff a normal guy in his 20s does.

Knowledge and Power: The two things that he has focused on all of his life. It would be surprising if Jackal didn’t like knowledge or power. Not only is he fond of them they are also what drives him to move forward. They are some short of guides in his life.

Dislikes:

Hypocrites: El truly hates hypocrites. They are part of why he has such an alienated view on people and society. Hypocrisy is one of the things he wants to get rid of when he conquers the world.

Chores: It all started when he was young. El hated having chores to do. They simply consumed too much of his time. And he didn’t have time to spare. Since then he has always hated chores. If it was possible he would also get rid of chores when he conquers the world. Though he is afraid that the opposite is more likely to happen. Meaning he is going to have more chores to do then.

Insects: Those icky, disgusting thigs really annoy him. While he does respect the role they play in nature he really could do without them.

Veggies: El is more of a meat guy. He doesn’t like veggies as much as he likes meat. Though he only dislikes a few of them. Peas are one of his mightiest enemies.

Irrational people: People that do not think in a rational way don’t deserve to even think. It’s common sense to use common sense while thinking, so why don’t people use it? Seems like Jackal will never find out.

Motivations:

World Illumination: El’s number one goal is to conquer the world and fix it. He will do everything he can to achieve this. Anything. Any-fucking-thing.

Seeking Knowledge and Power: His two most beloved tools and mentors. These two are the keys to world conquering as far as El is concerned.

Master more skills: Everything he can learn, he will learn it. And won’t stop at just that. El strives to become a master of everything he tries. It may seem something a perfectionist would do, but every piece of knowledge and every skill is useful in order for world conquering to be achieved.

Fears:

Early Death: While El isn’t afraid of dying, he is afraid of dying and leaving nothing behind. Posthumous fame is something really important to him. Because what is the point of learning and mastering all of these skills, gaining all this power and knowledge if nothing is left behind?

Addiction: He fears that he will sometime get addicted to alcohol or something worse, thus his goals will be harder or even impossible to reach. Though he can’t do anything about that. He does love alcohol too much to stop drinking forever.

Entomophobia: No, El doesn’t simply dislike insects. He fears some of them too. Though he only is afraid of those big-ass insects that are creepy and disgusting.

General Appearance

Appearance:

El has a tall and muscular body. A tatto of what looks like a magic circle covers his back and more quite smaller tattoos cover his shoulders and forearms. He has bangs that fall on his forehead and his ears are covered by his hair. His hair and eyes provide a nice contrast to his skin colour.

El's appearance consists of an unbuttoned, beige shirt with a hood tied at the waist with a dark blue sash. His pants are the same dark blue color. On top of his shirt he wears a button less red cloak with white lining near the ends of the sleeves and the place were buttons usually are. El also has various accessories. He has three bracelets two worn on his right and one on his left wrist. They are both golden in color. A lax golden necklace frames his neck and two golden ankle bands rest on his right ankle. Dawnson has pierced snake bites and lobes. Although his ear piercings are covered by his hair. His right pinky and middle finger both have a golden ring each. The latter one also has a blue jewel on it.

Of course El has other clothes too. He can often be seen in jeans, wearing sneakers or army boots. T-Shirts and a black overcoat are preferred as upper body clothes while in this outfit. Of course he still retains all of his accessories.
