There he was, the cold feeling of steel, pressing against the skin of his right hand. It was the hilt of a dagger, with no real cloth or leather bound around it. So the cold sensation could be felt stinging into ones very grip.
Dripping from the blade, was the red crimson liquid known as blood. Slowly, and one after another the droplets fell downwards, to make a small plopping sounds as it merged itself with an increasingly growing puddle, of the same substance.
Beneath of him and in the puddle, laid a man, his life line ended. His soul taken, rendering him nothing more then a lifeless corpse, that slowly but certain became colder and colder, until his skin would grow grey and faint. But for now, one could still see the handsome dashing young fellow he used to be.
Without much effort, Viktor would bend grab the body of this said young man, and throw it over his shoulder. Which was rather surprising considering Viktor appeared and was an old man, roughly seventy three years of age. So to see hem in throw a full grown young man over his shoulder with ease, was a bit surreal.
With firm steps he walk outside and into the open night sky, and gazed upon his surrounding. It was the perfect place for a set up, a farm, whose owner had found their untimely demise as well. Only a few days earlier. It was remote, and away from civilization, or at least far enough from the town known as Cedar. Either way, he had lured this young man here, under the false pretenses he could sell him the very ring he needed to propose to his girlfriend. Naturally this was a lie, the moment he arrived Viktor had stuck the dagger into his heart, and thus ending his life doing so. All so that he could make sure his plan wouldn't backfire.
Now the reason he had chosen this very location, was because of the very animals this farm focussed on. Namely pigs. Not cows, or chicken or any other livestock. Your ordinary, simple pigs. Hogs that would eat anything that was thrown at them. Even corpses of let's say the unfortunate previous owners of the farm, and the current lump of meat that bungled over Viktors shoulder with each step.
Quickly he threw the body into the pig pit, where it would slowly sink into the thick layer of mud, the pigs waggled around him. And some started to oink loudly yet happily knowing that their next meal laid among them. He could hear them, scuffling towards the body, and a few moments later it scrunching sound of the beasts chomping down onto the young boy could be heard. Surprisingly enough, Viktor had heard such a sound before, only not from pigs.. no in this case it were humans that ate like this. Vile people that enjoyed the meat of their own race, preferably as fresh as possible.
'Now that that is done, it's time to head to town and make sure the fair lady knows her lover, has left her' he spoke out loud, even though he was the only one around. Well him and the pigs off course.
Quickly he jumped onto a horse, he had settled earlier. And with a small nudge from his heels into the horse's side, he signaled that it had to ride.
The road to town lead him to a small forest area, that was easily traversed through, and eventually lead him up a hill. Where once reached he could look down and see the port town stretch out before him. Together with the salty fragrant that could only be smelled, when there was a sea. It's lights brimming as beacons in the night.
Before long, Viktor had reached the town, and with it the small manor where the young girl resided. Together with her family, and surprisingly enough a young lad with smashing black hair. Obviously a good family friend, as he speaking with the father on good terms.
'Good evening, my apologies for the intrusion' he said as he entered through the doors 'I have come with an urgent message from a certain young lad. Directed towards the young miss of the household'
The father signaled that he could come in, and as he did Viktor, felt the glare of the black haired man. Who assuming was the very client Viktor might be working for right now.
With firm steps he walked over towards the young girl, who casually sat on a velvet red couch. Awaiting whatever message Viktor might have had for her, yet secretly wishing for good new from her beloved.
He quickly handed over the letter, after which he thanked the family for their time, as he walked out of the door again. That the moment he closed behind him as walked outside, while also hearing the agonizing scream of a woman, reading that her beloved decided to run away with a different girl. A young farmers girl, that he had loved. And that he had never loved the young rich maiden, and was only out for her money.
Smiling Viktor wandered back to his horse, knowing that he had fulfilled another job well done, leaving the rest to the young pretender who was present at the house. As he the next move was up to him and him alone. Viktor only hoped he didn't do this for nothing and that young jealous man, would mess it up
