Meanwhile, the enormous demon cried out even louder than before, apparantly having had quite enough of this. Soon, pores began opening across it's abdomen and the creature seemed to inhale deeply, giving Dmitry the cue to unleash his largest spirit. Having taken a different path from Dmitry and Shohei, Jormangand suddenly came slithering down from a crevice in the ceiling, making almost no noise despite it's size. With a deft precision and brutal efficiency, the massive snake coiled itself around the demon twice and squeezed tightly, covering up the pores and releasing a cracking noise from the constricted shell. Jormangand then sunk it's fangs into the exposed half of the monsters chest, squeezing even more as it did so. Dmitry didn't bother having the snake release it's own venom, as it seemed redundant at this point. After about a minute, the demon moved no more, it's attack stopped short. The mage dismissed the spirit, his eyes returning to their normal color, and walked over to the giant corpse.
"Yeah, I'd say he's kicked the bucket..." Dmitry said, seeing no visible response in the smelly thing. 'Grand deduction, boy.' Hati mockingly responded telepathically, not caring that his pupil wasn't actually talking to him. 'You know, old man, you're not actually part of every conversation you hear, okay?' The gray-hair then turned to the young man who had accompanied him this far, frown not receding in the slightest.
"Well, hopefully I don't gotta see your mug anymore, eh Milady?" He said, slipping in yet another unsightly nickname. "Good luck with...whatever it was you were here to do with Handsome Joe over there." Dmitry through a thumb behind him to indicate the soon-to-be-maggot-farming demon in the middle of the cave, leaving the place shortly after. As he walked towards his home town, already noticing the spirit activity in this place returning to normal, he didn't have the slightest suspicion that the person he had just met was from the same guild as him.
Naturally, he would be troubled to discover the truth.
