Thunderbolts and Lightning (Rai Chu's Intro - Open)

It was a good thing that the weather around the Sabertooth guildhall was stormy today. It was the only thing drowning out the almost endless stream of curses being uttered by the small cloaked figure as they stomped angrily towards the main entrance, eyes forward and clearly focused on whatever it was they were headed there for so much that they were completely ignorant to the wonder that was the guildhall itself - many, MANY meters above the ground, accessed only by teleportation lacrima (one of the many things that the figure was cursing about) and then a stupendously long walk across a platform, and that was before even reaching the main doors. As the figure finally reached his destination they threw their cloak off to reveal a creature less than a meter tall, rodent-like with yellow-orange fur covering its entire body. In one swift movement he blasted the doors open with a powerful electrical discharge. The sudden burst of electrical current caused a flash of lightning to crackle behind the figure as if in response, striking its long black tail and shooting out of the thunderbolt at the end of it, leaving a scorch mark about 30cm wide on the ground beside them.

I swear when I get my paws on that girl...

The thought didn't escape the lips of the mouse-like creature, what did escape was a growl as he stormed through the entrance hall, lightning crackling around his entire body and leaving light burn marks with each step as his tail discharged more electricity with every second that his temper grew. Hearing movement and chatter to one side he immediately headed in that direction, blasting through the doors once again causing complete silence. The sight before him made his blood boil - humans everywhere and absolutely no sign of the one person he was after. He couldn't hold his anger in any more (not that he was doing a particularly good job of it anyway) as he growled quietly before roaring at the top of his lungs;

"WHERE'S THE PRINCESS?! What have you SAVAGES done with her?!"

“Who is causing that entire ruckus?” Valerie heard a girl gasp beside her. What was she talking about? That girl had been here for far longer than Eclipse has and she doesn’t know it’s common for Savertooth? There wasn’t even one day where Sabertooth behaved. Noise and happy cries were always ringing out from their floating guild. So what was it that was causing someone to shriek in surprise now?

Eclipse slowly lowered the book she was reading and looked around. Other than a huge crowd gathered around something, she saw nothing more that could have caused any reaction from the rowdy Sabertooth bunch. The crowd oohed and ahhhed, causing Eclipse to raise a fine eyebrow at the people before shrugging and tossing the book away. It didn’t matter to her unless someone was dying and from all that excitement, she concluded no one was in the verge of death.

"WHERE'S THE PRINCESS?! What have you SAVAGES done with her?!"
THUD!

The chair gave away when Eclipse leapt forward, throwing her off as the legs broke and turned into pieces. Eclipse fell, face first on the floor as the people now turned to look at her. That voice…she was sure of it! It was that…that thing that always follows her around! What was that annoying rat doing in Sabertooth? More importantly, how did he find her?! “Rai…ha ha….is that you?”

The thud of the chair hitting the floor was as unsurprising to Rai as it was uninteresting. In fact he wouldn't have even noticed it were it not for the complete silence in the air. His eyes continued to scan over the crowd, looking at each filthy human in turn to see if any showed signs of knowing where she was. Needless to say the crowd had no idea who this 'Princess' was and thus had no idea where she was. Rai put one grey-brown paw to his forehead and sighed. These humans were as stupid as they were brutal. No wonder his kind hadn't ever rebelled against them in the past; stupidity and brutality were a terrifying combination.

“Rai…ha ha….is that you?”

His paw moved so that he could see who had spoken and his heart leapt with joy - as well as growled with anger at her oblivious response. "Of course it's me Princess! Why the hell are you here among these monsters?!" he asked, resisting the urge to turn and obliterate all of the people around him as he felt their eyes burning into his back. Fortunately for them he was busy with more important matters. "It doesn't matter. Let's go now before they try and put us both into cages!"

Ibara's love for peace and quiet from time to time couldn't contradict his fiery temprament and violent personality more so even if he tried to develop traits that would perfectly refute others. His mind was like fire and ice, he yearned for quiet sometimes, to be alone and left to drift in his thoughts, it reminded him of home, his real home with Igneel and Igneel alone. Sadly, with a guild like Sabertooth, a group of wizards whom prided themselves on their strength and value of each other, rendered that notion basically impossible. Like most occurrences that Ibara didn't want to happen in his life, just as the thought crossed his mind, the thought of Sabertooth's unusual prolonged sense of quiet, a voice rattled the very fibres of the building which was strange since it seemed to emanate from a man whom looked as if he couldn't even rattle a fly. No.. not a man.. a mouse.

"This isn't happening.. this isn't happening...“ Ibara thought to himself over and over.

But sadly, it was happening. The situation was very real and Ibara rose from his slumber atop a nearby table that was situated in the corner of the Guild Hall only to find himself indirectly insulted by the one foot high rodent that had unveiled himself infront of everyone. He seemed to be attracted to Eclipse, referring to her as princess for god knows what reason, but there was only one impetus that would've caused Ibara to rise in such a manner.

"Who the heck you callin' a monster furball?!“

By now, the fiery dragon slayer had erupted off the table and stormed forwards past Eclipse to confront the mouse-like creature directly.

"Say that one more time..“

Ibara crouched down, clearly under-estimating the creature greatly with an obliviousness to it's magical power. The young dragon's two-toned eyes, one red to symbolise fiery passion while the other was a gleaming yellow to represent the dragon-like soul within him. His gaze sent literal daggers at the mouse which could almost be felt piercing at the creature's skin. This was a look that would put any man on guard, a look of a dragon.

Before Rai could get any kind of an answer from Eclipse he was distracted by another voice. It wasn't as if the voice was anything special and in most cases Rai would have just ignored it. It was the fact that the voice was so very close to him, and the owner of the voice had approached him in particular, standing between him and his princess without any consideration for what Rai had said, nor for the fact he was clearly interfering in something that didn't concern him. "Tch. Typical human. Just have to put a word in where you're not wanted." Rai spat on the ground beside him before looking back at Ibara, accepting the look that the human was giving him and matching it with a surprising level of hatred and disgust for someone that he'd literally just met.

"You humans enslave us non-human creatures and make us do your bidding. Humans are monsters." he said again, his eyes simply daring Ibara to take him on. His whole body was coated in the crackling of electricity, creating literal static in the air that seemed to add yet more weight to the atmosphere around them that was getting progressively heavier and heavier.

This was exactly why she had left that rat back in her world. It hated humans and saw them as monsters. While she agreed that a few of them acted exactly like savage beasts, she also knew not all of them were the same. It just depended a lot on the seven sins they carried inside their hearts. Some were unaware of the sevens signs occupying them while some had one of them enhanced in a way that it distorted their vision. Eclipse was able to make a distinction between the two quite well and joined Sabertooth after hearing about their previous guild master, Raven. But before she could fall deeper into her thoughts, she heard another annoying voice accompany Rai’s. Surprisingly –not really- Ibara rose from his seat and decided to pick a fight with the small yellow ball of fur, and electricity, taking offense from his earlier comments.

“Idiots...” she sighed and quickly got up from the ground before dusting herself off. She could already hear people snickering and giggling behind her from the whole “princess” thing and one of them was even shameless enough to call her out. But Eclipse ignored, for if she turned around and showed even a little bit of displeasure towards them, there was an eight out of ten chance that Rai would electrocute them and the last thing she wanted was for someone to scold her for the damage a small rat that stuck to her caused.

She immediately picked Rai up before he could use his power on Ibara. “Break it up, you two,” she scolded them and patted the small yellow creature in her hand. As irritated as she often got with him, Valerie also knew she liked her little companion quite a bit and missed him when she left him back in her world.

“Rai, this is Ibara. He is a fire dragon slayer, and an annoyance,” she bluntly spoke, gesturing to the redhead before turning her attention to the said person.

“Ibara, this is Rai Chu from the Chu clan. He is a thunder demon slayer, and also another annoyance,” her perfectly blank voice spoke in tune to the perfectly blank expression she carried.

“Now, since you two annoyances have gotten acquainted, can we talk about what you are doing here, Rai?” she turned her last question to the demon slayer in her left hand, still petting him with her right hand.

"Keeping talkin' and I'll show you the meaning of monster.“

The young dragon was riled up by now, not only did Rai Chu's initial response piss him off to no end, but to now act so nonchalant and threatening? That really got in his grill. In fact, if it weren't for Eclipse whom only a second ago walked on the scene, things could've have gotten a little explosive.

Her interjections were rude at best and Ibara scowled. Despite all she was worth, Ibara actually liked his guild-mate, she was genuine and she spoke her mind just like him but the fact that she was referring to them both as annoyances as well as comparing him to the mouse-looking creature in the slightest riled up the young dragon meticulously.

"That's pretty rich coming from you, Eclipse.“

He scoffed a few times while his mind drifted back to old memories of him and her. Where they embarked on a mission involving two children and rather than playing the babysitter like she should have, she decided to be a child for the day. Although she had accomplished the mission, in fact, she may have succeeded in doing so in a more superior fashion than Ibara, this didn't exclude the fact that she too had decided to be a child for the day which left the young dragon with three miscreants rather than two to deal with. The memory brought a slight smirk to his face before he shook himself back to the real world. One more look at the yellow mouse definitely reversed the meaning of turning a frown upside down.

"Here I was thinking he called you a princess just because you're pretty. You actually know the furball? Please don't tell me you're going to keep him?“

Although Ibara's words were cut off as Eclipse dedicated the rest of her verbal assault to inquiring where, when why and how Rai Chu, as his name was dictated, came from. The young dragon didn't care, his thoughts were solely focused on one thing as of that point. Would he really have to see more than a few seconds of this bundle of tediousness?

This Ibara character was getting Rai more and more pissed off by the second. He just didn't know when to shut up did he? Rai was just moments away from delivering a thundering punch to the magi's jaw when he suddenly found himself off the ground and restrained by none other than Eclipse. "HEY! Put me DOWN! I can take this dirty rat!" he shouted before he suddenly fell quiet, his tail going limp and the electrical energy dying all in a split second. She'd started petting him...how did she even have that effect on him? If he weren't so completely relaxed right now he would have scolded her for doing this in front of the humans, but alas his mind was somewhat distracted for that brief moment.

Brief being the operative word. Ibara spoke up once more, throwing an insult at Eclipse. Were it not for the fact he were stuck in her arms, the little Chu would have destroyed the so-called 'Dragon Slayer' there and then. "Mind your tongue human. I have no qualms with tearing it from your mouth." he snarled before jumping out of Eclipse's grip - with some difficulty - and turning his back on Ibara, focusing now only on his 'princess'. "As for why I'm here, I don't have much choice. I told you before Princess, I'm stuck with you whether I like it or not. Honestly, the past few weeks have been the worst of my life." He replied, shuddering as he remembered the nightmares. They'd occurred daily, reminding him that he had to find her again at all costs, yet still they'd offered no clues as to why he had to stick with this girl. Saying that, he didn't mind it all that much. She was better than all the humans he'd met in this world so far even despite her bluntness.

"So I guess whether Dragonboy, you or I like it or not, I'm going to have to stay here in this craphole until we work out what it is I'm supposed to do with you." he concluded, the tone of his voice dripping with sheer distaste. Maybe he'd grow to like it here. Then again maybe he'd have more chance of running away without Alya bugging him - not likely. This prophecy was going to be the death of him.
