    Job information

Sharp hadn't been with Chaoris for very long, but the time that she had spent with him showed her much about him. Violence, bloodshed, threats, maiming, they were all par for the course. Sharp didn't have a problem with it, she saw his conviction, and how he claimed to be a god, with his level of strength it might have been true. She wasn't sure yet, but he was the one with the key that had, and so she would follow him. In a small way she was content with this arrangement, he was able to provide her with a purpose for killing, his ambition to become a god, or state his claim as one, and that was enough. To know those whom she fought died with some form of purpose, and to know that those who were cowards died meaningless deaths before her, as they weren't worthy of any kind of justification of their ways, gave her a content heart. The violence wasn't the issue for her, it was how they died, and now she didn't have to worry about that, just discover more about the new found purpose giver that was in front of her.

Apparently they were making a trip up to the mountains, it was fairly brisk, but Sharp just wore the same easy to move in skirt and top, though she did switch to boots, as they were far easier to fight within, especially when it came to physical blows. With access to her former abilities once again, she noticed that the environment didn't mean much to her, and despite the higher altitude, she was content with where she was. If there was one thing she could say about this man, Chaoris, was that he at least had the strength to let her access her abilities, just like her father.

"You wish to kill this creature yes? The people of the village below are scared of it, but you wish for them to worship you? That is the purpose of which my blade swings this day lord?"

Sharp stated as she walked along the side of the mountain trying to locate the cave of the pest that she would need to help exterminate, not for any profit, but for her newfound master, though he demanded she call him lord. He needed followers, or so he always said, and thus they were here to show the power of the blood god to all, and kill the pest beneath at the same time. Perhaps though, Sharp wouldn't be the one to fight as much this day, regardless she would follow orders just like always.

Sharp, from the short time the girl had been with him, had proven a very worth worshiper. Not only did she do as he commanded, but she could even do so without him needing to speak at times. She understood his goals, and also understood her own role she was to play. Her questions were on point, what she was asking about his plans were true. ”Yes, these creatures must die. I do not care from whence they came, but they must be slain if those in the village below are to understand my power and fall down before my mere presence. We will slay them all, something we will find no problem with.”

A greater demon was causing havoc among the Phoenix Mountains, including the village down below, by bringing the creatures around it under it's control and gifting them with powers and a venom. The venom was causing more problems than anything, though according to the village the venom could be destroyed by magic and other such powers. That means Chaoris and Sharp would be safe from everything they were going to be up against this day. The cave the demon was said to be hiding in was coming up ahead of them, the cave slowly growing larger as they walked the cliff sides of the mountain.

Chaoris planned on fighting more than he had on the job that had resulted in his meeting with Sharp. There the girl had shared an equal amount of the death caused. This day he would slay most of it, how else could a God prove to a watchful village that he was a true deity? The god of blood wondered what kind of minions the greater demon would through his way, or would they simply be able to walk up to the being and be able to kill it without interruption?

There you had it, that was the plan, destroy everything in their path, Sharp wasn't completely convinced about Chaoris methods right now, but hopefully this would showcase his full and true colors. She didn't want to follow someone who at the end of the day backed off of his principals, even if they might have been incredibly violent. She didn't mind, killing was just a side effect of life, to live one must in the end, die. This is why the act of killing didn't really bother her, it was just... normal. Perhaps this is why others viewed her with cold expressions, or disliked her methods, but she didn't care, it was all about the natural flow and order of things.

Perhaps this is why her following Chaoris for now was pretty perfect, he seemed to be very primal, easy for her to, as of yet, understand. He could act as an anchor that she could try and understand various other emotions and aspects from, though that in the end might be a failure if all he can do is kill, or express anger. For now though, his arrogance was a new sensation for her, for unlike others she had been around it was founded... well with the exception of one, her "father", his was completely founded. Maybe after this job, no to Chaoris it was a pilgrimage, or a proving, one of those two, Sharp could see his conviction and thus know if her key was really in the right hands, and if it was she would continue to follow him. Hopefully, she wouldn't be judged harshly for doing such, by the, so far, only opinion that mattered, that of her "father".

As they approached up the mountain a cave entrance was starting to make itself apparent, a so far darkened figure was appearing outside of the cave. Normally Sharp would draw hr weapon, but not this day, today she was going to see what Chaoris was going to do, and then follow suit.

The rest of the trip towards the cave was silent, almost annoyingly so. Not even the sound of worship reached his ears, nor did the smell of blood come to his nostrils. This would have to be fixed, and soon at that, if everyone around wished for him to be appeased. He had taken this job as a kind of pilgrimage, though not like one a human would do. He was doing this travel to show to others that their god was still there walking amongst them. His lust for blood seemed like it was about to be appeased though, shadows appearing from the cave before revealing two, human sized, beetles were visible in the sunlight of the day. That was all the man needed to see before he was off towards them; an inhuman sprint leading him to them within the next minute as the two creatures slowly realized they were being attacked; their home being invaded by an enemy.

His sword was not drawn, not yet, as he went at the first and closest of the two beetles. Scythes of blood would come forth from his elbows, skin simply sliding apart for the sharp and hardened blood to do so, before he let loose a furious and unrelenting attack on the arms of the beetles. The clank of exoskeleton only lasted a few short seconds before blood met blood; the arms of the beetle being shredded as he found the weaker part at the elbow joint of the arms. An attempt to bite him would be made, large mandibles trying to close in on his neck, as he ducked and moved under the creature. As he did so Chaoris saw the other beetle charging in at him to bring the battle into an uneven number for him. That was fine however, he loved a more fair fight when it was possible.

Taking the 'blood' that had dripped from the beetle before him and spreading it out across the ground, using his manipulation of blood to do so, the man created two pools about fifteen meters apart and suddenly disappeared into the one he had placed beneath him. The beetles seemed quite confused, their attacker suddenly gone without a trace, before the God of Blood erupted from the other pool to come in with an attack on the already injured demon. A scythe pierced through the neck, the armor providing barely enough defense for the speed at which he was coming at it with his attack, and the massive altered creature fell to the ground; beheaded and dead. One down, and one to go. Oh how he wished for a fight with someone more challenging! He should have brought his pet, the Sight of Suicide, to this job. He could have simply watched these beasts fall with minimal effort from the distance.

Breaking away from his thoughts, Chaoris met the strong attack of the creature with a strong attack of his own. A scythe struck against exoskeleton, making a strange thudding noise, as he came up with a hard uppercut into the face of the creature. The attack burned his hand as he followed through, the scythe at his elbow piercing into the head of the creature before making the dull noise against the outer bone; this time from the inside. The blade was stuck, the flesh of the demon closing around it, so he ended his enchantment early as the blood simply seeped back into his arms and the skin closed around it.

Turning to Sharp as the bodies fell, eyes wide with seeming excitement from battle, the God spoke. More enemies inside! We must go! Fight! Kill! For those that follow me let none survive the combat we partake in!” With those words he was now sprinting into the cave, intent on doing just as he said.

One by one, sharply, Chaoris finished off these foul beasts, they didn't really stand a chance, and Sharp just watched it happen. They were weak, potentially a threat to those who lacked focus, conviction, principals, anything to fight for, they were the anathema of them, but for one like Sharp they would be child's play, she couldn't lose a fight, it was impossible, her key holder, master, and god were before her, beside her, fighting with a brutish passion that showed only the potential of victory. Indeed such mindless creatures made from such a false god could only provide the most minor of speed bumps in their progress, and Sharp knew this and thus stood back and watched the carnage ensue, despite her excite at the battle she had to hold herself back, this was her masters fight and not her own, though it was still hard, the rush of any sort of battle was enough to get her magical blood pumping in anticipation of the coming fight and slaughter. It was strange before with her old master she had no passion or anything, but now she had new passion and purpose to fighting, maybe it was due to whoever was holding her key at the time, but still, at least, it was something.

Chaoris however, finished off his adversaries and then declared boldly that they must enter the cave and kill the remainder of the enemies who are being blasphemous against Chaoris, which was a simple and obvious task. Sharp was all too eager to attempt and get it done as well, she had been holding off fighting, though judging by Chaoris's attitude Sharp would have to hold off on battle for a little while longer yet, but still it would be worth it, eventually, she would have a sweet release, but for now, all she could do was follow her master and wait for her chance to show what abilities she had learned and exactly what level fighting she was currently able to achieve.

His entrance to the cave was immediate, his words even echoing inside of the massive cavern that he could now see inside of perfectly fine. What he saw there would have brought many to their knees, even so much as stopping the hearts of those feeble enough to have it as a possibility. At the back of the cavern stood a monstrous creature, somewhere around twenty feet high, with massive claws around half of its own height. The top half held a similar look to the beetle demons he had already fought while the bottom half looked of the weak, pathetic, flesh of a maggot. Small legs were all it had, meaning the beast was most likely slow moving or relied on some other means of movement that they could not see at this point in time. A rumbling of growls filled the cavern as the king of these demons spoke in a demonic language as both scythe-like claws pointed at the duo trespassing in his domain. With those noises and motions came forth a small swarm of demon beetles from throughout the cave.

”Finally a challenge! My follower! Partake in this glorious battle with me, show the power that is granted to those that worship me!” Chaoris said these words as he drew a handle to a weapon from his side, a demonic voice from it filling his voice with pleas of his blood so that it may help him in the destruction of his foes. A single prick of his finger would bring forth a blade made of his own blood; a greatsword that reached out six feet with a six inch wide blade of blood. ”Come forth, enemies to my name! Meet your end in honorable combat and prepare to be shown the errors of your ways!” Green and red eyes charged towards him as he did just the same. Five green eyes, unlike those he had fought before, and six red eyes came at him with sharp claws and mandibles. A single swing of his sword would cleave through the touch carapace of a red eyed beetle with a single swing, the beast being decapitated and dropping to the ground with a splash of its venomous blood striking the carapaces of the other bugs he was up against. ”Bow before a true god, a god of battle and blood! Turn on those you call allies and slay them in my name and you will find power you have never known to exist!” Another swing of the greatsword would tear two more of the beetles in half, the green eyes dimming and going out as the top halves hit the ground.

Three of these lowly creatures had been slain, of the eleven that had started in the charge, and he had no intention of letting one of them get passed him and to the people that would be praising him after this measly task was accomplished. A roar would leave his lips as he felt his strength increase further than the already extreme that it was at. Switching to a one handed stance with the weapon was simple, it had almost no weight as it was all blood, and with his free hand he punched at the chest of one of the red eyed beetles. The carapace could not hold at this point and a fist broke through before he opened his hand up all the way. With the open palm Chaoris plunged even deeper into the now screaming bug until he found the internal organs and crushed and pulled. A softer sound left the mandibles of the creature as it dropped to the ground as the Blood God's hand came out of the open wound; holding entrails that no one would no longer be able to identify as the life giving ones needed for these demons. His other hand stabbed forward as the rest of the beetles did a final charge at him, the beasts realizing he would not be going down if only one or two attacked at the same time, and tried to use all the tricks that their bodies allowed them to do.

Steam left the mandibles of the green eyed beetles left standing as the red ones began to charged forth while flapping their wings that they now had out. Knowing he could not just cleave through them all at the same time, not without taking a hit at the same time, Chaoris did something that this group of creatures would never thing possible. Pushing his entire down along the sharp edges of the handle would draw a tenth of the god's powerful blood into the demon's possession before a heavy stab into the ground would be made. Bring forth the massacre of my enemies, demon of my sword!” The blood absorbed was shot out in all directions, the majority of the bloody shrapnel going towards the half of the monsters that he had taken the task of killing. The blood entered their bodies, leaving small holes throughout their carapaces before all of the blood came back to him and filled him with even more power. A blood-rage fueled roar left his lips as he swung the sword in a forward slash, the weapon's doubled length cutting off arms and legs of those withing range before a crescent moon shaped blade of blood flew forth. The attack struck through all of the remaining beetles that had come at him for battle; the venomous blood spilling everywhere as his attack flew on to slice through rocks and debris before finally reaching its maximum range and fizzling out into dried blood on the ground. A face filled with rage would turn to check on Sharp and her enemies, a hope filling him as he watched her fight. With her by his side he would be able to bring this world and its people to worship the true God that he was. Once her enemies were slain he would try to bring this false god into worship of him, or slay it where it stood.

Sharp wouldn't be able to tell you how many enemies she was attempting to face, their weapons that they held, the passion of their blades, she didn't notice any of it. The normally emotionless and calm girl, was having her mind black out as her master, god, companion, Chaoris yelled about joining him this battle, and Sharp had no other choice but to comply, it wasn't an order as a key holder, but rather she felt his swelling violence infect her and now she was starting to black out. The red glow of her blade illuminated the area with a sonata of building rage and purpose. The monsters, the strange beetle demons let out their battle cry's but Sharp didn't hear any of it, Sharp only looked towards them with her blank expression and righteous contempt for their existence.

As several of them moved around to attack her, she to rushed them, the blade's glow hiding the massive bloodshed that erupted from one of the monsters until it splattered the others within their horrific faces. The one struck let out a loud hissing howl of pain and prepared itself to counter attack, but the follow-up move, Sharp's next lightning attack against the beast, silenced such notions, and howls. It's head flew from the newly created corpse, and Sharp spat upon where it was. The foul blood had gotten in her mouth, and tasted of nothing truly worthy of Chaoris, or at least, that is what Sharp believed, still blood was blood, but now Sharp would much rather be rid of these monsters and deal with something worthy then just the creations of some false little idol that believed himself potent enough to rival a true god.

As the creatures rushed towards her with their vigour now excited from the smell of fresh combat, from both Chaoris and herself, she noticed that a big creature had entered the room, surely the false god that was attempting to corrupt and create these foul hell spawns, though for now she could only attempt to engage the weaker of the creatures within combat, and not the true beast that was going to attempt to bear down upon them. Tightening the grip upon her blades hilt, Sharp had wings spread forth from her back, their glowing white light echoing the glow of the blade, and she pulled back a smidge, just as some of their claws and scythes came down to ravage her. Most of them were lined up nice and neat in rows, she couldn't ignore this chance. Surging herself forward with a teleport, Sharp's momentum within the air, had her spin towards them the blade out to the side ready to intercept any premature attacks.

Thankfully the creatures only tried to move forward to slash at the now glowing figure of Sharp, but they were at a sad disadvantage right now, they should have moved out of the way rather than attack, but such was the mentality of beasts, they died horribly, and never questioned any kind of tactical advantage, most of the time. Infernal creations, Sharp would cut them all down with one gallant strike. As she spun, she turned the momentum into a sideways motion rather than a head on corkscrew, and since the beasts had all lined up well... all she had to do was flick her wrist at the right time, and one by one their heads started to roll, the blood missing her as the blade cut them outwards, allowing for her to remain clean from this most obscene of substances trying to touch her, it wasn't like a worthy warrior, it was just some low life beast that deserved what it got, a swift and gory death.

all of them fell, the attack was brutal, effective, and saved her much needed time, her god was with her right now, she didn't wish to dawdle, she had no one to preach too, she only wished to show strength, and the power to easily destroy them, it wasn't about convincing anyone of Chaoris's truth right now in a logical sense, but a strength filled one. Landing next to chaoris, with but another swift teleport, Sharp saw the beast enter again from the shadows, the monster attempting to bring others with them to attempt to destroy Sharp and Chaoris.

"Master, more have arrived, your orders?"

More enemies would flood into the massive cavern as Chaoris and Sharp clave through the ones that were in the way of them and the massive beast that seemed to be the commander of the drones that had no chance against them. Another rumbling of demonic words would come from the giant bug that pointed directly at him, this time the words coming through in his head; and perfectly clear.

"You frail creature, being of little strength! How dare you enter my domain and claim to be more powerful than the god that controls these demons! A human has no merit here, and you shall fall to me if you can even slay my endless amount of minions!"

The words did nothing but anger the god of blood even more than he already was, causing him to begin a charge directly for the giant even as he yelled words at them. "Heretic! Disbeliever! Liar! You dare insult the God of Blood? Prepare to meet thine end at the end of my blade. I challenge you to a fight, just us, and it will only end with me taking your skull to use as a part of my throne of skulls!"

A bellowing laugh would erupt from the but as he waved a dismissing hand at Chaoris, the new wave of minions simply going towards Sharp as they made way for the challenger to begin his fight. The beast seemed to think his charge hilarious, continuing to laugh in a deep bass up until the moment that Chaoris was about in range to strike at his body. It was at this time that the creature let loose an odd mix of ice and poison that made Chaoris's body tingle as he felt himself grow even more powerful as he swung his sword at the large carapace that was the stomach area of beast that yelled who he was to the small 'god' he was swinging his massive claw at. Even though Chaoris's body took damage from the auras let loose by the creature, the claw coming down to block the sword and snuff out the blood god's life was sliced clean through; Bariael, the Maggot King making a bellowing scream of pain as it began thrashing around in anger and rage. How could one so small cut clean through his arm? Was he not the king of the maggots? No one could injure him!
