Wasn't gonna post but changed my minds. Not trying to do any personal attacks but after what happened with how ice dragon slayer decided to propose something.

If didnt know, an app for Ice DS got sent in and approved for position within an hour. Even if the person wrote well; it was still too fast for some people to have seen. A person could be at work,school or simply away from computer and didn't have the opportunity to even apply or see it was open. This has happened before hand with other positions. I'm not saying we should strip the position before anyone jumps ahead. However I would ask wouldn't it be nice if had a grace period of at least a day or two for people to see and apply. That way gives a fair shot to anyone who would want the position.
