Grand Magic Games Event

I don't know if this has already happened, or if this was already planned to happen, but it would be pretty epic. Just imagine, Each legal guild would make a team of 5 of their best mages (-the guild master) and compete to be the most powerful guild.

It could be a duel PVP only event, with kind of a tournament bracket system. Or maybe you could find a way to implement other PVP "games" or events such as in the anime/manga. I think this is a good idea if not already done, and i hope you guys consider it.

Lol we are steps ahead of you, which is why the Dominus Flau Sub-board is created in Crocus. Don't worry it will become real but only if we receive enough active members for the event, otherwise it be fiasco.

We have in the past attempted a grand magic games. The issue is getting a team from each guild that are all active and will continue to be active. Now that we have a more viable PVP system the event is more likely to succeed, but it all depends on activity.

Also, another issue with this event is that it is heavily in the favour of certain guilds. If we exclude myself, the guild master of Blue Pegasus, then Blue Pegasus has two or three H ranks and Fairy Tail has 1. The remaining H ranks are guildless.

So immediately in terms of raw power one or two guilds have an edge in terms of H ranks. Now that the power gap between ranks isn't as drastic this isn't as big a deal, but then you have to take the other members of the guild into account.

For example, I don't think any guild could field a full team of S and H ranks. Possibly some can do S, A and H.

The third issue I see is this immediately singles out new people to the site preventing them from joining in. Perhaps if we had various tournament 'ranks' that might work.

If we said Bronze, Silver, Gold then for Bronze D and C could compete, Silver B and A, Gold S, SS and H.
