Name:
Sora Xin Kuninaga
Of Midi Origin.
Gender:
Male
Age:
Twenty
Birthday:
July 1st
Sexuality:
Bicurious
Special Characteristics:
Tattoos
Underneath both of his eyes are a single sliver of indigo, similar to a tiger stripe almost. They are always visible, since, they are directly on his face and there isn't really any way for him to hide them unless he covers up his eyes or entire face.
Scars
Although not visible most of the time, Sora has many small scars; evidently battle wounds from his upper chest all the way down to the bottom of his knees. Some are larger than others, the worst and perhaps largest scattered across his back like flower petals. But, because his clothing basically covers most of his body, the story of these scars are left a secret; and perhaps for a good reason to say so the least.
Personality:
Before Sora had been introduced to the Emperor of Midi; his father, not related by blood of course. He was a quiet, shy and often aloof child. Slavery had changed him entirely into something he never wanted to became. He was forced into doing things he never wanted to do, tortured and in turn, was used as a tool to kill others. Sora had a natural talent with magic within the Alakitasia army, and was therefore sent to various places at a young age to assassinate those whom were ordered to be killed. The light that once shined within his eyes was lost, it was like he was an empty-vessel; a robot following along with orders, nothing to say, nothing else to do. Sora lived for those who ordered him around until the age of fifteen.
Meaning to kill someone within the Midi country, his leaders had all been captured and killed, and despite Sora being the one guilty of murder, the Emperor of Midi took a chance on him and invited him to stay in his palace. Sora was quiet, and not very familiar with such a bright and respectable environment. The Emperor, despite being occupied with other affairs most of the time, canceled everything to teach Sora. He taught him history, and magic. Anything he didn't already know while sitting curled up in the depths of a cold cellar. They had even gotten as far as to moving onto sword-play. The light within his eyes was slowly returning, and the raven-haired youth gradually opened up to everyone as though they were his family. He became known as the prince of Midi; an overly confident, enthusiastic sixteen year-old that was often seen challenging his father to a battle.
Although he usually wore that familiar calm expression, there was not a single day in Midi that Sora would not smile. It was incredible how someone could go from broken to bright in a matter of two years. He became a respectful young-man, addressing everyone by a honorific regardless of which country they were from. He is now rather casual and quick to temper, but he truly does have a kind heart and righteous sense of justice, willing to risk his own life to protect others. Sora is not the type of individual to quickly hate others compared to perhaps other people. Because as a child he had gone through such suffering and pain, he accepted what was happening and dealt with it quietly. This is also another side of him that is similar to how he acted as a child. Sometimes, regarding the situation, Sora will allow himself to suffer for others if that is what he must to do protect them or make them feel better. If you're upset and want to use him as a personal punching bag, he probably won't care.
But, do not assume you can just go and pick on him whenever you like. I'm referring to when the situation requires it; like he's being a jerk or whatever. If you insult him, intentionally looking for a fight, he will react violently, regardless of who you are. He does have a habit of idolizing those who are stronger than him, and consistently wanting to jump into battle whenever he sees them. Sora likes to prove he is stronger than his opponents, especially mages who are way above his level. It's not that he wants to be looked up to, but, rather, praised in a way. Which is why he left Midi to prove to his father he could indeed become stronger.
In battle, Sora is ruthless. Considering him to take up a leadership role would be completely ridiculous. He does not cooperate with anybody at all. If your plan is to ambush the enemy, Sora will dive in first and ruin your cover. Just as his magic, he is a storm. A wild flurry of wind that lashes out; destroying everything around it. Although he can definitely prove as a useful comrade to have in battle, sometimes he will go out of his way to defeat your opponent just prove how strong he is.
Likes:
Battling
Typically stronger opponents. Sora likes to prove that he is the strongest, in fact, he takes pride in it if he has defeated many mages. The thrill of battle makes his heart race, and a smile curl onto his lips. Although he may not be the strongest physically his speed and energy are what keep him going.
Ramen
Coming from Midi and practically being born into the food there, he has always loved Ramen ever since he was child. Although he doesn't have much dislike towards any food in any country, Ramen has always been his favourite. In fact, although it isn't the healthiest, he does eat it on a daily basis.
Napping
He can be found sleeping anywhere. To perhaps the top of a building on a roof, to the uncomfortable angle of a chair or tree, even a rock, Sora has been known to doze off even in situations that could be serious. Of course, he wouldn't fall asleep in battle, but, if somebody were speaking to him about something personal, Sora would most likely close his eyes unconsciously and descend into slumber.
Dislikes:
Neglection
Usually if you intentionally ignore him as though he is a nuisance, this will piss him off. Sora does not like to be treated like an annoying little flea. Despite acting like an annoying brat, especially towards those he really wants to fight (whom might I add are usually levels and levels above him) he can be irritating. After all, he really gives no real reason as to why he ever wants to fight whom he wants to fight. Aside from the reason that "they're strong".
Shamed
Being put down for being himself or who he is definitely will anger him. Sora is not afraid to act violently, especially if you are intentionally insulting him. This is where his maturity drastically drops into immaturity. Sometimes he will even cry, especially if the one who is insulting him is somebody he looks up to and respects. Sora may wear a calm face most of the time, and act overly confident, but, despite his age, he still acts like an absolute child.
Stereotypes
Sora likes to believe that regardless of what faction mages associate themselves in, they will never act in the way that most people perceive them to be. He strongly dislikes when most refer to legal mages as good or dark mages as bad. After all, he's knows first-hand that not everything is as it seems. If you mention this to him, he will probably get irritated, but, he will not snap out at you compared to be insulted.
Motivations:
Strongest
For somebody who likes to battle those more powerful than him on a daily basis, he of course is doing this to intentionally become strong one-day himself. He wants to prove himself to people, and especially to his father in Midi.
Travel
He has never been anywhere else aside from his own home country; Midi, Alakitasia and now Fiore. Sora has the strong urge to travel around the world and see things he has never seen before. He's like a curious child, practically lighting up at the idea of going somewhere far away, by himself or with a comrade.
Freedom
Experiencing slavery first-hand as a child, he as a very strong motivation towards freeing slaves. Regardless if some countries hold slavery as something to be proud of, he hopes to stop this horrible act and grant people the right to go where they please.
Fears:
Betrayal
Perhaps one of Sora's biggest fears. Because he experienced it a lot as a child, he has had his heart broken multiple times, from other acts which could be described as good and others as betrayal. He is afraid of opening his heart to anybody (usually regarding love) because he thinks you will end up tossing him aside eventually like a piece of garbage.
Confinde
Do not lock him in a closet or anything, thinking it's funny. To Sora, this shakes him to the core, so much he will actually begin to cry. It brings up horrible memories of his past as a child, and despite being a young adult now, this does not change anything. Even being held captive by an enemy will frighten him. Sora likes to be free. The thought of being able to go anywhere he want puts him at ease.
Death
The thought of dying of course frightens him. He feels he has not lived a very long life, for, of course, he is only twenty years old and has so much ahead of him. Why the hell would he want to die? Sora will risk his life for his comrades though, despite death scaring him, he will jump in front of a moving train to save the friends he cares for the most.
