- Job Title: Liberation of Slaves
Rank:C-rank
Player Requirements: 1 C-Rank mage or 2 D-Rank mages minimum. Must kill/capture/arrest the 2 heads of the Slaver operation. Minimum 30 posts with 250 word minimum requirement. Must also roll 5 monster dice minimum to summon the boss.
This job can only be done once
Job Location: Hargeon Town
Job Description: Lately there have been slaver's running an operation to kidnap women to be sold to other countries for a tidy profit. This operation must be stopped and the Rune Knights are offering a tidy sum of jewels to anybody that will stop the latest shipment of slaves to leave Fiore. Not only must not a single slave be harmed, but the leaders must be made never to be allowed to escape or this will happen again. The Bounty is for them Dead or Alive, but the Council prefers them alive and will double the bounty if done so.
We also know the individuals are extremely tough and stealth may be required...
Enemies:
Weak:Slaver Initiates x5- These are the fresh new recruits of the slaver operation and each deal individually D-rank worth of damage with their non-magical cutlasses. The will attempt to surround and use their numbers to overwhelm the enemy. The Slavers will run or surrender at displays of B-rank spells knowing they are out of their leagues.
Normal:
Slavers x2- These are experienced sword and gun users with a weapon in each hand. The sword and gun deals C-rank damage each. They will fire the gun 3 times a post and ignore D-rank armors and barriers of whoever they are shooting. They will fire at whoever is dealing the most damage and the bullets do travel at 900 MPH making them hard to dodge. They require 1 C-rank of damage to beat, making them a bit of glass cannons.
Strong:
Veteran Slaver- They have been doing their job for so long that thThey have earned the jewels to buy themselves Lacrima to use water magic. They also use cutlasses imbued with the same magic, but this magic is not eatable by Water Dragon Slayers due to having salt mixed in all their spells and Abilities, thus making them instead LOSE the magic they were supposed to gain. The water magic itself deals C rank damages and is very malleable to users will. The Blade however deals C-rank damage and continuous D-rank bleeding per post. Requires 3-Crank of damage to beat them.
Boss:
Captain Scarlet and First Mate Carver- Captain of the slaver ship the 2 are notorious individuals that have no value of human life. They fight mercilessly and will fight to the death since they know that a hangman's noose awaits them if captured.
First mate carver is a speed based mage with a pair of cutlasses that look worn after many use and stained with blood of those that opposed him. He will immediately charge at the strongest looking mage at 100 miles per hour and lock the person in melee combat with his blades. Using his magic it allows him to strike multiple times for B-rank damage due to speed and momentum of his blades. It is very tricky to hit him, but he is ultimate Glass cannon as well due to his speed and a Solid C-rank blow at his high speeds will cause major damage.
Captain Scarlet uses a pair of guns that deal C-rank damage each and is fired 6 times per post and ignores C-rank Barriers and armor. Her shots also explode on contact causing people hit to be blown away from her and causing AoE damage. Living the life at sea made her tough and requires 4 C-ranks to beat her. When knocked down to 3 C-ranks of damage she will attempt to shoot herself in head rather than humiliation of the hangmans noose.
Reward: 15k jewels and an extra C ranks exp(added after bonus calculation). If both bosses are captured alive then the jewel increases by 30k.[/b]

The mission description said to meet at the local tavern in Hargeon Town. It was a good place to lift-off, especially when one decides to spread their wings and fly without one's group. She grows un-trusting of her guild-mates and she feels smothered by her teammates. The world was large and since she joined the Blue Pegasus, her world continued to shrink little by little. What was supposed to be a growing experience slowly became a small world that involved only her guild and her team. She had to stretch her wings while she was young. Still bitter from the disappointment that was the Guild's call-to-arms, she hopes to not become a burden during this job. She was allowed to join the guild to recover some jewels, only to be told to remain caged while the ones with wings took off and did all of the work. It wouldn't have been bad if she wasn't the one being singled-out specifically by the 'leader' of the call-to-arms. Of course the guild has no idea of her capability, nor the capability of Axos and Dante. If they had made an attempt to contact them before-hand, they would know. But since joining the guild - Anastasia, Axos, and Dante had to flounder and grope the darkness to find their footing within the guild. They received no help and expected to be proficient professionals the very first time they joined the guild in a job. Such stupidity makes Anastasia want to go guild-less for a while and do some free-lance work. This will, however, be a test to how she can handle things with complete and total strangers. Pushing the door of the tavern open, she is introduced with a very strong scent of urine and booze. That's fantastic. Every time she comes to Hargeon Town, she noticed that this town always reeked of something with the main ingredient, somehow, always being urine. Curling her nose in disgust, she pushed and wormed her way into the tavern and eventually finds an empty table. She was quickly confronted with whistling and cat-calling from a group of brutish men. Turning to look over to the men, Anastasia quickly winced, recognizing some of the men that whistled at her. These were men from her previous mission here in Hargeon Town. Turning her head to avoid detection from these men, she took a seat at the table, intentionally holding her hand in front of her face. The men began to stand up to approach the woman only to be interrupted by a beautiful woman holding a lyre in her hands. She approached the men before giving a wink to Anastasia. "Hello, boys! How about I sing you a song that will soothe your hearts?" she asked the men before they looked at one another and nods, before one of them pulled the woman into their laps. Wiggling her bottom, she strums her lyre and begins to sing a song. With a soft and deep breath in, she begins to sing her song. Singer's Song Upon hearing the song, Anastasia grew entranced and with every word spoken, she became more and more infatuated with the song. So much so that she began to memorize the song by lyrics, pitch, and rhythm. She begins to quickly study the song and thinks of a way to utilize this song. While thinking of what happened in the guild's job, she instantly knew what she wanted to do with the song. A little grimace crossed the woman's face, thinking about those pompous freaks in the Blue Pegasus that could fly, ignoring the weaklings stuck on the ground. Never again will she be singled-out and humiliated like that. The song finished from the young woman and the first thing Anastasia could notice around the tavern was that everyone in the tavern, excluding the two of them were passed out. Anastasia could assume they were simply sleeping. At least that is what she would like to assume. Before long, the woman that was sitting on the man's lap brushed aside his hand and stood up, winking once again at Anastasia. A look of awe was display across Ana's face. She couldn't believe such a powerful song could have been possible. The range and selectiveness of the song was amazing, effecting everyone except her. The woman approached Anastasia, placing her left hand upon the table that she sat at and leaned in, whispering something into her ear. "You have good vibrations. We will meet again." she said before pulling back and vanishing into a black cloud. Sitting back in her seat, she looked around with the look of amazement still written in her eyes. Now Anastasia would stick out like a sore-thumb within the tavern. The other two that she is to do the job with shouldn't mistaken her for anyone else; everyone else was taking a little nap. It could also be assumed that Anastasia was the one that made this happen. "What was her name? Meet again? What does that mean?" Anastasia asked herself, bewildered at what just happened. Was this a fateful encounter or did this person seem to know Anastasia?

"I think this is the right place."
"So it would seem. However, it seems rather quiet for a tavern. Be on your guard."
"I don't-" The girl started, peeking her head around the doorframe before squeaking in excitement. "Vendrick! We found it! I can't believe it's real!"
"What? What is-"
"The legendary Nap Tavern! Look!" She motioned towards the door. "Rumor has it that it's a wandering tavern where everybody comes to take a nap instead of getting all raucous and noisy. And look, they're all asleep except for one girl. It must be the Nap Tavern!"
"I don't..." The ghost king sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose, immediately realizing the futility of trying to argue the point. Best to simply nip it in the bud. "What does it smell like?"
"Smell like? Why would that matter?" The girl took a deep sniff and immediately regretted it. "Eugh! It smells of urine, alcohol, and -erk- is that rotten fish?"
"As one would expect to find in a tavern such as this, located near the waterfront in a harbor town." Vendrick shook his head. "No Ashelia, I am afraid you will have to keep searching for this 'Nap Tavern' of yours." He strode through the wall to take a look at the sole wakeful resident of the tavern. "In any case, this girl appears to be one of two you were to meet."
Though she seemed a little put out by Vendrick's quick dismissal of the Nap Tavern Ashe quickly bounced back. "Really? Perhaps she is the one who put them to sleep then? If so, I'll have to thank her for being so considerate."
"I doubt it was done for your sake Ashelia. How could it be, when there is no way for her to know of your inability to properly converse with one person, let alone deal with a full tavern?"
"Oh stuff it!" Already her cheeks were flushing red, and they hadn't even approached the girl yet. "You know full well I can handle talking to people! Just not...live ones."
"I suggest you make an exception then, or this job will be rather difficult." Suddenly Vendrick shifted just behind Ashe and gently, but forcefully, pushed her into the room. "In you get."
"B-b-b-b-buh-" Totally unprepared, Ashe stumbled some ways into the room before finally catching herself on a chair to keep from pitching over completely. Ooooh I am going to get you back for this so hard Vendrick! She fumed silently to herself.
Recovering from the near-fall Ashe brushed nervously at her clothes to straighten them as she walked over to the only table not occupied with sleeping drunkards. Ok ok, we can do this. Deep breaths, introduce yourself, avoid eye contact. "Um, he-hello, my name is Ash-sh-shel-" She took a breath to steady herself. "I m-mean, my n-name is Ashelia. You mu-must be one of the ma-mages I am to me-meet here." Ashe took another breath, trying to avoid hyperventilating in the process. "M-may I take a se-seat please?" She asked a little desperately, fidgeting with her hands as she fought off the urge to adjust the collar of her shirt. Gods above, why did I choose a dress shirt? That was quite possibly the worst idea I've ever made, ever. What if she's not one of the mages we were supposed to meet? Or worse, what if she is but doesn't want me sitting with her? Oh please no...
Meanwhile, Vendrick fervently wished he still had a physical head with which to bash violently against the wall.

Daiki made her way to a tavern that she hadn't been to before and would sigh ad she stopped a few feet from the door as she needed to calm herself. Her nerves were just starting to get to her but she had to keep calm. She knew this. Should anyone catch wind that she had killed someone, she would be in quite the amount of trouble. More than she would ever like to be in. Either way, she would calm herself down after a few moments. She would continue into the tavern, and would notice two people who were awake, while everyone else was asleep. After a moment, the blonde would soon smell the oder and would almost instantly be put off by it. After a quick dismissal of the oder, she would walk up to the two people before speaking.
"I guess you two are the ones who'll be participating in this job as well?" She said, her voice almost monotonous. Her apparel consisted of a white shirt that gets covered by a corset on her abdomen. The colors of the corset consist of both brown and white. She's also wearing a skirt, which is mainly of a yellow color, with a trim of brown at the bottom of it. Along with that, she's also wearing a pair of dark gloves. As for leg wear, she's wearing thigh-high socks. As for footwear, she's wearing a pair of boots the are up to just below her knees, and consist of being brown, yellow, and white. Her eyes are red, while her hair is blonde. Her shirt has a yellow ribbon tied at her collar. As for her facial expression, there wasn't much other than boredom, or at least a hint of it anyway.

Turning her head, placing it on a swivel looking between one sleeping drunk to the next. She noticed even the bar-maids were put to sleep from the soulful song of the woman that was in here. Trying to put two-and-two together, she tried to recollect the events that just happened. Alright, so she noticed some of the men that she had 'stolen' already stolen jewels from and beat up their boss as Axos also killed one of the men. The men noticed her and recognized her. That doesn't usually happen unless the plot dictated men getting vengeance right? Or the main heroine's going to die unceremoniously? A woman jumps on their lap and captivates the men and everyone else in the tavern with her song, putting them all to sleep. The woman says Anastasia has good vibrations and took off. After putting that information together, Anastasia drew a blank. Yes, she was extremely deep in thought as she pondered all of this only to be removed from her thinking gaze with the voice of another person. She returned to her senses upon hearing 'sh-shelia'. It took Ashelia's presence a moment to finally sink into Anastasia's brain causing panic to arise. She began to sweat profusely. Was this a ploy from the woman to extract information from her about what happened or was she a ghost, not having noticed the sleeping people? This caused Anastasia to jump back out of her chair and shout. "I swear it wasn't me! It's not what it looks like!" No, shouting wouldn't clear the air and denial only admits guilt according to officials. After collecting herself, she noticed Ashelia's strange mannerisms. Ah yes! Anastasia took a sigh of relief, realizing this one was a tad bit timid. Well, at least she wasn't a full-blown coward like Anastasia was. Anastasia shook her head and returned to her chair. "No, please, have a seat. But seriously, I didn't make the entire place like this." She's not going to give that up. It was a good thing she corrected herself and re-itterated her name a second time, because Anastasia would have looked like a fool if she were to go off of the knowledge she first heard. Smiling warmly at the tall woman, she nodded her head. "Hello, Ashelia! My name is Anastasia! It seems like you and I are going to be doing this mission together," Anastasia said in a peppy manner. She was hoping the peppiness would be contagious, at least helping Ashelia with her nerves a bit. "We get to track down criminal scum!" she said as she balled her hands into a fist and moved them up to her face as if to smell her fingernails. She squealed in excitement. This seemed like a low-fear mission, so she didn't seem to have a whole lot to worry about in terms of life or death. She doesn't have to worry about a mass murderer fire-mage or any other terrorists who care not about other's lives. "When we catch him; let's break his legs!" she asked as she placed her hands upon the table. While she's generally a calm individual and rather disliking of killing, she has deemed these slave traders as unfit to live. She takes things like human trafficking very seriously and feels that it's against nature to own other people so even killing these men didn't bother her in the slightest. Actually, the world may benefit from their lack of being here. The scary part, however, was how much excitement Anastasia said it with. "Who do you suppose the final person is?" she asked before Daiki appeared with a monotonous voice. What ate this girl's cheerios? Upon closer inspection of Daiki's clothing, Anastasia's eyes sparkled for a moment and then realization kicked in. Anastasia couldn't wear something like that due to certain physical features not being as developed thus not looking right in the clothing. It's like Anastasia attempting to wear a bar-wench outfit. It doesn't fit right! "Well, looks like the third one is here. Seriously though, I didn't do all of this," she said waving her hands in front of her still denying having been a part of this. After the charade was over, the woman went to a small pouch upon her hip and pulled out a folded piece of paper. The paper was the contract for the job. Attached were two sketches of the men responsible. Captain Scarlet and First Mate Carver what they were referenced as. They couldn't have given their actual name? Well, anyway, it's a job contracted by Rune Knights and they are paying a lot. "Well, it seems we'll have to bring them back alive if we are going to get the maximum bounty," Anastasia said with a sigh. She didn't particularly like the idea of them remaining alive, but you gotta get money somehow right? She continued on with explaining or re-itterating the mission objectives to the group until she finished and folded the contract up and put it back in her satchel. "So, does anyone know where to start?" She asked because she certainly doesn't have an idea. The group could always gather information but that will run the risk of the slaver plot being exposed and the slavers to get wind that someone's looking for them or they could pose as a slave to get close to the group and then tear it apart from the inside. He laughs a bit uncomfortably to herself as she thinks of both scenarios and how they could eventually turn out bad... Very bad. "Well, we could pose as slaves and attack this from the inside?" she said as her voice cracked a bit. This shows her level of comfort with the proposed method of completing the job.

So it seemed that her newfound comrade was in fact the not one who had lulled the tavern, to Ashe's disappointment. It would have been nice to have someone who could put people to sleep around...ah well. She thought as she quickly accepted the the invitation to sit and plopped down in the closest chair, resisting the impulse to draw up her hood and hide behind it. Fortunately the other girl took the opportunity to introduce herself and confirm that she was also here for the same job.
Ashe was scarcely able to force out a barely audible, yet relieved "P-pleased to m-meet you-" before Anastasia began bubbling with excitement at the prospect of tracking down their marks. And breaking their legs. That set off a few red flags in Ashe's head. Not that she was particularly worried about the breaking of legs itself, Ashe didn't approve of slavery much in any form either, but the enthusiasm the girl spoke it with worried her. In her experience people who spoke of such things with glee tended to be a little unhinged. Or a lot unhinged, in some cases.
She hunched her shoulders meekly in response to Anastasia's next question. "Th-the job said it was a f-female slayer." And, as if conjured up by the words, a third person entered the tavern. The newcomer seemed to match the loose description the job-poster had given of her, while her bored attitude set a stark counterpart to Anastasia's eerie enthusiasm. Rather than make her feel better however, the dichotomy between the two only made Ashe feel squeezed in the middle. She couldn't muster the enthusiasm to match Anastasia and she was too on-edge and nervous to act as bored as the newcomer. It was enough to make a socially challenged girl sweat.
While the newcomer didn't give her name Anastasia forged ahead like an irrepressible icebreaker, pulling out drawings of their two main targets and setting a discussion for their course of action. To be honest, Ashe wasn't too fond of the first idea either, but it did have it's merits. Assuming they were able to identify which ship the targets were on, that plan would allow them relatively easy access into the heart of it.
"I-if we go that route I c-can be of s-s-service." She chimed, well, stuttered in. "My magic w-will allow me to easily s-slip out of any bindings they might ha-have." She seemed to fall silent, fidgeting with her fingers before adding "I-I can also pro-probably distract the guards t-t-to, in that c-case."

Daiki stood where she had stopped, listening to one of the women state that it wasn't her who had put the people who were in the tavern to sleep, but she didn't much care who did or didn't. It wasn't any of her business. She would slightly sigh as she listened to the woman ask where they should start, but listened to her state an idea. Granted, the idea wasn't something that Daiki would really prefer with how her previous jobs had been. Posing as slaves to get to the slavers? She'd rather go charging in, but she wouldn't mind acting as the one bringing them to the slavers, but as a slave, she'd probably lash out far too soon before they'd have gotten to their targets.
She had noticed the pictures the other blonde had taken out and had laid them on the table. The other one would chime in, stuttering that her magic would allow her to easily slip out of any bindings they would have had. She could also apparently probably distract the guards too. She would sigh again before speaking. "If you want to pose as slaves, go ahead. I'm not the biggest fan of taking orders from people I've never met before or anything. I could scout ahead and look ahead for you two, or we could just go head first. She would say, looking from the blonde, to the white haired one and back. She wouldn't know what they would think of her ideas, compared to the other blonde's but it was something other than posing as a slave.

She wouldn't know what they would think of her ideas, compared to the other blonde's but it was something other than posing as a slave.

Job #3: Emancipation BGM: The Gathering of Heroes |
Oh.. This is going to be just grand. The late-comer doesn't like taking orders from people they just met. Well, it wasn't like the delinquent mage seemed to have much of a forte in guiding people along. If anything, she didn't seem too adept at working with a team to begin with; which only begged the question of why she took this job knowing she was going to be in a group of other mages. Anastasia's usually happy demeanor turned sour upon hearing Daiki's words. "Look, you signed on this job knowing that you're going to be working with other people. So we need to work as a team. We were already given good enough information about where they are. All we need to do now is come up with a plan and -work as a team-," she simply stated, still a bit sore from what happened in the Phoenix Mountains. She still had a massive bruise upon her right shoulder when a giant tree was created in the side of a mountain and a pile of earth slammed into her shoulder. Thankfully, with a little bit of time spent in the Pegasus Hotsprings, she was able to heal the pain and trauma away for the most part. "We don't have to go with my plan, but I'm not going to do anything as a split group. Bad things happen when teams fall apart. It's not just -our- lives we have to worry about this time either," Anastasia said with an adamant ardor due to how stupid the decision was to split the group in the Phoenix Mountain. Not only was it a stupid decision, but it was one that even someone of Anastasia's weak caliber of combat knowledge knew not to do which lead to absolute disaster. Anastasia's attention returned to Ashe for a moment upon mention of compliance to the idea. "Hold on a moment," she said in response to Ashe's enthusiasm. She rather liked this Ashelia person and found her shy mannerisms to be absolutely adorable. But now wasn't the time for adorable-ness. It was the time to get trash out of the public square and behind bars. If Anastasia had it her way, the scum of the earth would return to the earth, rotting in a hole in the ground. Normally, she forbids violence, but when it comes to abhorrent individuals like slavers, she can make an exception with the burning passion of Hephaestus' furnace. The comment about breaking their legs wasn't a joke, but a legitimate request. "If you don't like taking orders from people you don't know, then why don't you lead us?" she asked as she tilted her head inquisitively. Lately, she's grown quite hostile towards people who think they are superior to others. Yes, she wants them to prove their worth; though she will most likely be disappointed as their pride gets in the way of the over-all mission and their arrogance not standing up to their claims. If this Daiki person had no intention of taking command when not wanting to follow orders, Anastasia will lose all respect for this individual. Great first impression, right? Time is beginning to tick. While the job needs to be done, the trio needs to make a plan in order to fulfill this job's objective. But will the group's pride get in their way of getting the job done? Find out next post in FTRP. |

For her part Ashe remained mostly silent during the exchange between the new girl and Anastasia. Aside from offering her support of Ana's plan she didn't feel that there was much she could offer in this argument. Not that she didn't have an opinion of course; the problem was that she somewhat sided with both of them.
On one hand I understand the unwillingness to rely on others, especially those you just met. But on the other hand, Anastasia does have a point. It is somewhat rude and unreasonable to sign up to work with people and then refuse to do so...
Ashe sighed quietly to herself. She was tempted to try and mediate the situation, but with her tendency to clam up and stutter when faced with these sorts of situations it was very likely she'd do more harm than good. Though if she didn't do or say something it was equally likely that those two would just continue to bicker about it and waste valuable time. Not to mention that bad blood at this stage would not bode well should things go awry later.
Ah...to the hells with it.
"Ah, um, i-if I may..." Ashe cut in after Anastasia finished speaking. She wanted to divert this topic before it had the potential to get out of hand. "I'm not a h-huge fan of Anastasia's p-plan either, b-but it does have its m-merits. Who-whoever p-posed as s-s-slaves would be able t-to easily get deep inside the sh-ship without su-suspicion." She began fidgeting nervously with her fingers again. "If you d-don't want to be a sl-slave you could p-pretend to sell us...uhm..."
Apparently not having thought through to the end of that sentence, it occurred to Ashe that the other girl still hadn't introduced herself. More importantly, neither had she. And here I was just telling myself how rude she was being while I sit here without even introducing myself! For shame!
Ashe immediately shot upright, opening her mouth to speak only to snap it shut and flush beet red as she knocked over the chair she had been sitting in. Aware that she probably had the full undivided attention of the other two watching her after that blunder, she sheepishly righted the chair and averted her eyes (not that that she had been remotely capable of looking either of them in the eye before anyway).
"I-I'm terribly s-sorry for being so r-rude, I didn't thing- I m-mean think to introduce myself or ask your n-name. I am Ash-sh-shelia, p-p-pleasedtomeetyou!" She finished with a hurried bow from the waist, practically shouting the last bit before quickly zipping back to her seat and pulling her up her hood to hide her hyperventilating behind the green fabric.
This is not good. Too...too much social contact. Anastasia was bad enough, but now this newcomer too? I-no, we need to get started on this job before I literally die.

Daiki listened to the other blonde as she had spoke, stating that she had signed up for the job knowing that she'd be working with other people, and as a team they needed to come up with a plan after having some information about the goal and needing to work as a team. She would sigh as she spoke once more about them not having to go along with her plan of two of them posing as slaves. It was true that is wasn't just their lives, but it was a dull feeling for Daiki at the moment. She would stay silent as she waited for the woman to speak, in which she would suggest to her to lead them if she didn't like taking orders. As the blonde finished talking, Daiki opened her mouth to start speaking, but was cut off by the other woman there. The one who would introduce herself as Ashelia would speak up and would wait for her to finish speaking before attempting to do so once more. The white haired woman would state that she wasn't a big fan on Anastaia's plan either, but thought it had its merits. Then she had stated that if she didn't want to be a slave, that she could pretend to sell them. Though Soon enough after that suggestion, she would introduce herself as Ashelia, after a bit of stuttering anyway.
She stated that she hadn't thought of introducing herself or asking for her name and apologized for being rude. Daiki would watch her as she had introduced herself after shooting upright , knocking her chair over, introduing herself, and picking up her chair and sitting back down. She would blink a few times before starting to speak, looking over at Anastaia first, of whose name had been slipped by Ashelia. "I think I will go ahead and be the leader of this team, but I'll be more so going with Ashelia's suggestion with this since it seems to be two against one in this descision of the plan." She would say before looking back at Ashelia who had pulled up her hood right after having sat back down. After noticing that her hood had been pulled up, she would cross her arms before looking at Anastasia again. "Now, if we're gonna go with this plan, aren't we going to have to find the two of you costumes for this, or should we just go ahead and dirty up your clothes a bit?" She asked, giving them the choice of either. Granted she wasn't against any other suggestions for how to make them take the look of slaves for their plan.

D'awww! Ashelia's adorable! Well, at least the tall girl introduced herself as Ashelia to Daiki. Anastasia wants to just hug her face and shake her around like a child asking their parents to keep a puppy. But then again, reaching up to do that to the much taller female was near impossible without standing on a stool, looking moronic in the process. It was good to see someone was willing to entertain her idea of posing as slaves. Ana thought it was a good plan and one worth exploring. Unless the cardboard cut-out had any better ideas. Daiki took the bait to become the leader of the group. Hope doesn't spring out of Anastasia seeing Daiki's bodacious response. Anastasia feels like she's speaking to an inconsequential NPC where the voice actor put almost no effort into the role. A smile was given towards Daiki, though it wasn't a genuine one. As anticipated, the cardboard cut-out didn't have a good plan and just stuck with their plan. Since Daiki took command of the situation, it's up to her to wrangle the group and give out the plan. Unless, of course, Anastasia turns out to be the tactician while Daiki takes all the glory. A hand was placed on Ashelia's head as Ana's attempt to keep her calm. She noticed the nerves building in the green-clad woman. "Everything will be okay, Miss Ashe," she said calmly with a warm smile upon her face. After a moment of coddling Ashelia, she turned her head back to Daiki for a moment. "So, if you are to take the role of the buyer, you need to act the part," she mentioned before looking around at the passed out bodies in the tavern. She turned her eyes to Ashe and spoke up. "I know it's bad, but we need to gather as much money as possible from these people. We also need to draft up 2 'bill of sales' as a receipt for us," she said in reference to Anastasia and Ashelia being the property that Daiki is to sell. While it goes against her morals, she went to the table where the men recognized her and began to pull at their pockets, trying to take as much money from them as possible. She reached into one of the men's pockets and grabbed something. Bewilderment. She squeezed it a bit before realizing exactly what it was and quickly yanked her hand out of his pocket with her face turning bright red from embarrassment. She shook her hands a bit while internally being absolutely grossed out. ~Oh my god! i actually grabbed that! Ew, ew ew~ she shouted mentally before reaching back in and pulling out a large bag of coins. Exactly what she was looking for. Returning with the bag of money, she threw the bag upon the table in front of Daiki. "This money will be used to buy back a slave or two." Now all the group needs to do now is to draft up a bill of sales that looks legitimate enough to use as a receipt for handing over Ashelia and Anastasia to the potential buyers. The two don't need elaborate costumes, as someone being sold would be dressed up in a way to make them look marketable. If anything, Ashelia is dressed too rogue-like for this job. "Which one of you two have rough looking penmenship?" That's going to be needed for the bill of sales. Well, that and some paper and a pen. Once the set-up is complete, then the charade may begin. |

It seemed things were finally moving along, and about time as far as Ashe was concerned. Sure, all the 'Let's get to know each other!' bits were necessary by most people's standards, but honestly she could do without them. It would be far more preferable to go with a simple 'Hey, I'm X, I can do Y, let's get this done' and move on, but everybody she'd ever worked with practically wanted to share their life stories before the job. Of course, by 'everybody' she meant 'the handful of people she had had no other choice but to cooperate with', but the idea was the same.
At any rate the small talk seemed to be over and Ashe was slowly recovering from the social overdose. Anastasia even tried to lend a hand in calming her down, though the physical contact had more of the opposite effect than what was intended. Moving on, the point was raised that they would likely need costumes while Ana went about rifling through the bar-goers' pockets to scrounge up enough money for Daiki to play the part of a slave trafficker. She quickly apologized for the theft, stating that it was necessary, but Ashe wouldn't have minded regardless; the green-clad mage had little regard for what society decreed was or was not acceptable. She would have done the same with even less qualms about it in the same position.
Ana returned with a bag of coins that she tossed on the table, eliciting a loud clinking from the currency, and asked if either of them had handwriting rough enough to serve as a slavers' for a bill of sale.
"I m-may be able to h-help." Ashe spoke up again from behind the shelter of her hood. She had a few writing supplies on hand and produced a few sheets neatly of folded paper along with a tiny crystal inkwell and quill from a pouch on her hip. With her left hand and a bit of imagination she wrote up a vague approximation of what she imagined Ana was asking for and set it on the table.
"I-is this what you h-had in mind? Oh, a-also, about the ou-outfits..."
Standing up, Ashe closed her eyes and concentrated for a moment. Of their own accord her shirt sleeves began to shorten and puff up just below the shoulder, her long waistcoat came together to form a simple green dress that fell just below the knee, and her pants shrank down into short white socks. The end result was a simple but refined maid outfit that wouldn't be out of place in an upper-class manor.
Blushing a bit without a hood to hide behind, Ashe awkwardly offered herself up for inspection.
"Do-do you think this will s-su-suffice?"

Daiki listened to Anastasia state that everything would be alright to Ashelia, and that if she was to take the role of the buy, that she would need to act the part. She figured that, but would soon notice that Anastasia state that they needed to gather as much money as possible, and would soon go over to one of the sleeping men and would rummage through a mans pocket. She would notice the woman would pull her hand out decently quickly and blushed a good amount before reaching back into the pocket and pulling out a large coin bag. As Anastasia returned with the money, tossing it on the table in front of her, stating that the money would be used to buy back a slave or two. "Alright..." She said, uncrossing her arms and grabbing the coin bag before putting it in a pouch, before hearing her ask which one of them had rough looking penmenship. She shook her head slightly. Even if she wanted to, she couldn't really make her handwriting look rough, compared to how it normally is.
Soon, though, Ashelia would speak up and pull out some paper and an inkwell with quill from a pouch and would write up something similar to what Anastasia wanted, or would hope for it to be decently what they were looking for. After the write up for what Anastasia wanted to have written up, Ashelia would somehow have her current outfit turn to something akin to a maid outfit. Daiki would blink a bit before sighing. "I really don't think slaves wear maid outfits, or at least not general ones anyway... Something just skimpy in general, or something raggedy is what pops into my head when one mentions a slave outfit, considering..." She would state, crossing her arms once more. "Since Ashelia seemingly had magic clothes, what're you going to do about your outfit, Anastasia?" She would say, looking at the blonde.

Ashelia had a good handle on the bill-of-sales part of her plan. She watched as Ashelia wrote the bill-of-sales and nodded her head with enthusiasm. "That looks great!" she stated ecstatically. And then an awe-struck moment came over her when she saw Ashelia's outfit magically changed to something elegant. Anastasia really needs to develop clothing like that sometime! That would be so useful! "Where can I get one of those!?" she asked as she looked at Ashelia's new outfit with starry eyes. With that, Anastasia gives her full approval. Thinking for a moment. Anastasia lifted a single finger as if to say 'just a moment' with a little wink towards the two before moving around and ascending the stairs of the pub. Loud clanging and banging could be heard before Anastasia's voice shouted from the top floor. "Why won't this fit!!" she shouted. Why what won't fit will be left up to the reader's imagination. "Ew! Oh my gaw! Do I have to wear this? Really?" she shouted out before she went silent. Anastasia walked down the stairs, wiggling around in the high-heels she's supposed to wear. Bunny ears twitched upon the top of her head, hiding the Nyanplifiers within the cloth-covered ears. Her feet wiggled as she tried her best to descend the stairs. If only she had more practice in these high-heels. She never had the need to wear them in the past until now. "How do people wear these without hurting themselves?" she asked as she concentrated on each step until she found her way to the bottom of the stairs. "Not quite a maid's outfit, but I found these upstairs somehow," she mentioned before clearing her throat and turned to look towards Daiki. "Well, now that me and Ashe are dressed for our roles, you know what your job is right?" She asked before she let go of the handrails of the stairs and took a step forward, wiggling a bit before the heel broke, causing Anastasia to fall forward, only to catch herself on the bar. "This is stupid," she said as she up-righted herself and kicked the heels off and ran back upstairs to get her shoes back and put them on. At least they were black so they kinda matched. "I suppose a lot of people fall for this kind of niche, huh?" she asked as she looked at her outfit. "Well, it's about time we head on over, right? Since you're going to be the owner that's going to be selling us," she said as she looked to Daiki. "Be sure to get a good bargain on us, alright?" she asked in a near-pleading tone. She didn't want to feel more cheap than she already does. |

Anastasia's enthusiasm and approval of her shoddy attempt at sloppy penmanship raised Ashe's spirits a bit, oddly. That, and her starry-eyed approval of her outfit. Ashe muttered something non-commital in response to question of her clothes' origins, not willing to go in depth over the subject at the moment. The bubbly girl's constant exuberance was a bit much to handle, especially for someone like Ashelia, but she had a way of growing on you. Or I'm just slowly getting used to it. I'm not really sure which is the better outcome either.
"W-what?" Ashe said, startled a bit by Daiki's response. "You-you really th-think so?" She looked down at her dress, trying to see it from the other girl's point of view. I suppose she's right...the more I think about it, it's not very likely a slave would wear something like this. People who own slaves typically don't give them very formal clothing. But what should I change to? I'm not very fond of the idea of wearing rags, but I'm not sure something skimpy sounds much better...
Rather than agonize over it however, fate decided to intervene. Anastasia's loud (and somewhat clumsy) return drew Ashe's gaze to the bunny outfit, which reminded her of a costume shop she had visited as part of a job once. That in turn reminded her of the very eager shopkeeper who had insisted Ashe try on all manner of ridiculous getups, one of which had been sort of a cross between a chinese dress and a babydoll. Practically lingerie really. She had managed to get out of it somehow, but seriously, the nerve of it.
A slight rustling and the feeling of shifting fabric made her look down in alarm. Sheer horror dawned on her face as the hem of her skirt lifted up far higher and split at the sides, barely covering her butt, while her socks rose up to her thighs. Ashe frantically tried to grab and pull down the hemline but at the same time her blouse opened up and her shirt disappeared completely, leaving her sleeveless with quite a bit of chest exposed. That drew a very girly squeal as she tried to cover her chest while also pulling down on the scandalous hemline.
"Thi-this is no time to b-be playing around! Stop that th-this instant!" She shouted, apparently at the clothes. Then, suddenly remembering that there were in fact other actual people around, Ashe squealed again and hid behind a table. "D-d-d-d-don't look! This th-th-th-thing has a m-mind of it's own s-s-s-s-sometimes!" She continued to berate and tug at her clothes, but it seemed they had made up their mind and were stubbornly refusing to change back. Sighing, Ashe resigned herself to her fate. She took a deep breath and stood up, still tugging futilely at the dress.
"Y-you said som-something sk-skimpy...w-wi-will," Ashe gulped. "W-will this d-do?"

nothing can dim the burning light Daiki listened to Anastasia as she spoke about the bill-of-sales after havig looked at it when Ashelia was done with it and soon noticed that Ana seemed to be quite interested in Ashelia's clothes which were able to change at will, or so it seemed. As Ana moved upstairs after lifting a finger and soon shouting about something not fitting. The blonde tilted her head slightly before looking at Anastasia entered the room again after going down the stairs, this time with a new outfit and even large bunny ears. She would blinks a few times before listening to her speak about the heels, or so she presumed. She watched her eventually break one of the heels, kick them off, and then go and get a different pair of shoes from upstairs. Daiki listened to Ana as she spoke, asking if she knew what her job was here. "Yes, I know what my job is here. Are you that doubtful about this?" She would ask, crossing her arms and looking at the woman who would bring up the fact that she should get a good bargain on them. Soon, her attention was drawn to Ashelia as she spoke, and after a few moments her attention was returned to the woman as her clothes were changing once more, this time from a maid outfit to something quite a bit more skimpy. Had she not met someone not too long ago, she would probably be hitting on one of the two, but even then, she had to resist doing so. She would clear her throat before speaking after Ashe had quite the commotion with her own clothes, telling them to stop and for them to not look as she hid behind a table. "Yeah, that'll do, though I guess we've come too far in this plan to change it now, with all the effort into the costume changes." She said, walking to the door before stopping and looking back. You two best keep up with me, as I'd rather not be going too slowly." She would say, as she walked out of the tavern they had met in. As the group made their way to the rendezvous point where they needed to go, Daiki didn't see anyone in the area. "Don't tell me we're late... or even early..." She said, growling slightly to herself, as she crossed her arms once more and stood, keeping both Ashelia and Anastaria in her sight, though only barely.

A trail of blood came from Anastasia's left nostril as Ashe changed her outfit to a really short chinese dress. Noticing the blood coming from her nose, she looked over to the man that recognized her from her first job in the Blue Pegasus and used the sleeve of his shirt to clean up the bloodied mess from her nose. She also blew her nose on his collar, because screw this guy in general. After cleaning herself up, she looked to Daiki and nodded her head. "Don't sell us cheap. Seriously," she said as her eyes neutralized in expression. "Do you think we should be sold cheap? At least make a buck or two from these guys before we bust em up," she stated before clearing her throat and nodding her head. Before the three left, Anastasia piped up. "Don't forget to sneak on the boat after you sell us. Seriously, this hinges on you to save us damsels in distress," she commented before clearing her throat and moving on out.. And then suddenly!!! Nothing. There was nothing around. This caused Anastasia to look around for a moment before a man is seen paddling towards land from the water. "Oiy!" the man said in a thick british accent. "Seems like you were here all along! Sorry about being late. Captains is kind of a stickler for detail, ya know?" the man asked before looking over the merchandise. Tilting his head, he looked at Ashelia and pointed at Daiki and Anastasia. "How much for these two? You gotta give me half for the flat one. She wouldn't sell very well." the man stated. Anastasia bit her tongue to keep her composure. She got a good look at this man and grumbled, wanting to throw him over-board. Yeah, the man was still on his dingy when he asked. "I'll give you... 150 jewels for the lot. 100 for the busty one and 50 for the flat one." |

For all the build up there was surprisingly little said after Ashe was done with her costume change; Ana got a nosebleed while Daiki absently gave approval and walked out of the tavern, stating that the two lower-ranked mages had better keep up with her. Ashe fell in a bit behind the other two as they headed toward the rendezvous, wishing fervently that they wouldn't have the misfortune to run into any lecherous drunks on the way.
"This thing is more trouble than it is worth sometimes you know." Ashe muttered, crossing her arms under her chest in an attempt to keep warm. The wind was coming in off the sea, bringing with it the smell of salt and a noticeable temperature drop.
It is just trying to help, in its own way.
"In its own way? What, did you design it to act like a total lech at the worst possible moments?"
First, I did not design it. Second, I would say that it was in fact the best possible moment, given the circumstances. Third....no comment.
"Wait. If you didn't design it, who-"
Aaaand we have arrived.
Ashe glared at Vendrick, who very deliberately ignored her to look out over the bay. The rendezvous point was at an out of the way bit of beach, a short distance from town and hidden from view by some rock outcroppings and foliage. The way it was situated a small boat could slip out past the dock warehouses and back unnoticed by anybody not specifically watching for such a thing. Very handy for slavers, who very reasonably wanted to keep their activities as unseen as possible.
Though no one was present when they arrived, it wasn't long before the telltale sounds of oars pushing water signaled the arrival of their contact. For a slaver he seemed oddly cheerful and a bit sheepish, apologizing for the lateness on account of the slaver captains holding him up. The real kicker though was him mistaking Ashelia as the seller instead of Daiki.
This could be useful.
Her mind immediately went into overdrive, sizing up the situation. Their original plan was sound in theory, but it had a major problem: while Ashe could certainly use her abilities to help Ana and the slaves to escape confinement, neither she nor Ana were particulary capable in combat. Ashe herself was fairly competent with a sword, but there was no way she was going to be able to sneak one in as a slave, and she didn't feel comfortable relying on the chance that she might be able to find one on the ship. That meant that in order for them to have a chance in combat they would have to meet up with Daiki, who could very well get bogged down fighting small fry.
Ideally Daiki and Ana would be the ones sold, breaking out the slaves while Ashe used her magic to cause a diversion. That way Daiki could protect them if anything went awry, and Ashe would be able to move freely. Ashe hadn't wanted to bring it up at the tavern due to the sullen mage's unwillingness to play the part of slave, but if she acted quickly she could seize this opportunity and force her to go along with it or risk the mission. She wouldn't be making any friends with this ploy, but, to be honest, she didn't much care.
Before Daiki could respond Ashe cut in, playing the very part of the arrogant madame."Oh please, you must think me a fool. In this day and age, with the amount of risk the slave trade brings? A hundred and fifty is pocket change. We both know that even the average serving wench can fetch at least a thousand, and these..." Ashe gestured lazily to the two girls. "Are far from average. Time is precious, and I wouldn't be wasting yours or mine by bringing sub-par goods, so let's cut to the chase."
The man threw up his hands in mock surrender, laughing a bit. "Aye, ya got me. Can't blame me fer tryin, what with some of the idiots we get. Some scum-sucker came by just last week, wantin to sell his daughter for five hundred jewel. Five hundred! For his own daughter!" He slapped his knees and cackled. "Dunno how he even found the place, but we bought her all the same. Even haggled him down to a wee bit over half what he wanted, would ya believe it! For his own daughter! Gets me every time, it does."
The slaver took a swig from a ceramic jar and wiped his mouth before continuing. "So down to business then. The chesty one's got the goods, I'll give ya that, but the flat one's another story. Ya dressed her up right pretty, but she's scrawny, skinny as a rail, and flat as a washboard. I can give ya, say....five for the busty one and three and a half for the kiddy."
Ashe rolled her eyes. "I thought we were done with the games? This one," She indicated Daiki. "Will probably fetch at least thirteen or fifteen, depending on the buyer. As for this one..." Ashe walked over and leaned forward, draped her arms over Ana's shoulders. "I know for a fact that there is a very robust market for fresh fruit of this quality. And she is very fresh, I guarantee it." Stepping back, she continued. "Nine for the melons and seven for the cherry. Any less and I'd be better off finding a buyer myself, though I'd rather not. It can be such a bother."
The pirate scratched thoughtfully at his stubble before nodding, counting off a selection of coins into a bag, and tossing it ashore. "Aye, ya drive a hard bargain, but ya got the right of it. Might be I can think of a buyer or two for these pretties already." He grinned, exposing a glint of metal. "Hell, if ya find any more good ones send em our way, we can find a home for em."
"I'll bear that in mind." Ashe picked up the bag, inspected it, then turned and walked back to Daiki and Ana, her voice low and a serious expression upon her face that was a far cry from the nervousness of the tavern. "I know this is short notice, but trust me, it will work out better this way. Hate me later if you must. I'll wait for a time to avoid suspicion then create a distraction to draw them off while you escape. Once the slaves are free we can deal with the captains." She raised her voice and clapped the pair on the shoulder. "Alright now girls, run along. We don't want to keep the nice man waiting, now do we? Pleasure doing business with you boatman."
"Aye, and remember the offer!"
Once the boat was out of sight Ashe headed back towards the docks to wait. If she had to venture a guess, it wouldn't be too long before Daiki grew tired of waiting and tried to bust her way out, so she wouldn't need to wait overlong.
She is going to be livid once this is over.
"That's fine. It's not like I need her to be happy with me, and I doubt we would have been friends anyways."
Ashe-
"Let it be Vendrick, let's just focus on the job."
Hm. The ghost king seemed to ponder for a moment, then shook his head. You did well negotiating with that slaver.
"Did I? I was just trying to mimic some of the stories I've read about Madame Constance! You know, the famous bordello slave mistress? Of course I mixed in some more recent knowledge we picked up about the slave trade from that one job we did. You know, the one where we...."
Vendrick sighed as Ashe carried on. The girl really needed to work on interacting with living people, perhaps make a few friends. She would need them in the long run. There will be time enough for that in the future, I suppose. He thought, and settled in for the wait.

nothing can dim the burning light Daiki listened to Anastasia as she had told her to not sell the cheap, though that was prior to the trio leaving the tavern and as the had waited at the rendevous point. After a moment the blonde heard someone speak to them, before looking at them, and soon noticing that he had pointed to her and Anastasia after tilting his head. Wait... did he think she was part of the duo being sold?! She would barely start to respond, but before she could, Ashelia had cut in. Listening to her sell both her and Anastasia to the man... And here the entire plan having just gone down the drain. So much for her following the plan even with Anastasia having told her a few times to do. Well, out the window that went. Daiki did what she could to hide the annoyance she felt so far and looked away from Anastasia, Ashelia, and even the guy that was buying both her and Anastasia now. Oh, there was such a scene going to happen once this was over. The man soon finished his story and got back on track once more. She would cross her arms with a sigh as Ashelia had referred to her as 'Melons' and Anastasia as 'Cherry'. The sigh was the only thing she could do without screwing with the plan even further, even considering the entire thing went haywire anyway. As the man agreed to the price, which she had to keep herself from frowning. She watched Ashelia pick up the bag and would walk back to both her and Anastasia, whispering that she knew it was short noticed and to trust her that it would work out better this way. She would sigh yet again in annoyance before The two were brought onto the boat. One dressed normally and the other in a bunny suit. Yup, this was exactly how the plan was to go. As the two were put in a room inside the ship with a few people, Daiki stayed near the door, her arms still crossed. The moment the door had closed, she started to tap her one of her feet as she waited for what seemed like a good amount of time for Ashelia to actually reach them. "I'd stand back..." The blonde said to Anastasia, though it was to anyone else in the room. Uncrossing her arms, she would exhale slowly. As she did so, it seemed as if her breath was more akin to that of someone exhaling on a cold day, but instead of steam, her breath was slightly mixed with a bit of her unholy light. In a swift motion, she would kick the door open. She didn't much care about how much sound it had made, but it was enough for at least two people to hear it, as the sound of multiple feet could be heard running. Now was where Daiki would... shine.

Job #3 Emancipation BGM: Rush Forward! |
Annoyance was a difficult emotion to cover up. While it was nice that they weren't being sold for mere pennies, she also realized that they were being sold for cheaper than the job rewards; assuming the employer pays out. While it's true that she was quite 'cherry', never having experienced a man before, the fact that it came out in the known just made her blood boil a bit. She did what she could to remain in-character, turning her eyes down like an obedient slave should. At the very least, Ashelia didn't show off her rear-end to the slaver like she was a display item, granting her a bit of her pride in-tact. Boarding the boat, she sat down, crossing her legs while placing her hands under her rear so the slaver wouldn't get a good look at her. She turned her gaze away, knowing that the slaver was probably salivating as he looked at both of the girls on the boat. She felt uneasy about all of this; which actually helped her remain in-character. Nobody, regardless of if they were sold or put up to this, would like this situation. A sigh was made from Daiki before she eye-balled her. The sigh didn't seem to be out of disappointment but of annoyance. If character is broken, Daiki would be the one to give them away. This wasn't good. Daiki needed acting lessons. The small rowing boat finally arrived, Daiki still had her arms crossed. This continue to catch her eye and irritate her. Slaves don't take up this gesture and the break in-character was driving her nuts. This could potentially be disastrous if Daiki was the reason they were found out. The two were escorted down in the deck where a bunch of other women were. Most looked emaciated, while others looked beaten to a pulp. The only thing the same about all of them was they were slaves. Just witnessing this made a fire burn inside of her, but due to eyes watching at the moment, she had to remain in character. But the more rage and anger that build up within her gathered, the more and more she disliked these people. The two were thrown into a cell and were locked inside. As the man left, Anastasia simply stated. "Your damn arms could have blown our cover. I know this isn't how the original plan went, but you have to be fluid about it depending on the situation, damn," she said in a whisper, loud enough only for Daiki to hear. "I don't care if you don't like your role in this job. You signed up for it so you damn better play along." Her anger towards these slavers already put her in a foul mood, but Daiki's horrible acting could have potentially put the job in a precarious position. Thankfully, the slaver was too busy looking at Daiki's breasts to really give a damn. And then Daiki blew open the door. This caused Anastasia to rub the bridge of her nose as 6 men came downstairs to see what was going on. "Since you started this, you sure as hell better protect me," Anastasia said as the thought to herself. ~ Please hurry, Ashe. Pleaassssssse! ~ With that, Anastasia began to sing. Ashe waited patiently until the little boat disappeared over the water, then waited another few minutes for good measure before heading out herself. Reaching the ship was easy enough; it was a simple matter of using her ethereal form to float out over the bay. No rowboats necessary. By the time she arrived it seemed that the other two had already been taken belowdecks, so she wasted no time heading straight for the powder storage. On a ship like this, engage in illicit activities as they were, there was no doubt they would have a decent supply of ammunition for their cannons. Ammunition meant gunpowder, and gunpowder was an excellent distraction maker.
Rather than bother actually climbing the ship and wasting time, Ashe simply floated through the hull and headed straight for where she imagined the ammo repository might be. The only challenge was making sure no one spotted her spectral form on the way there.
Let's see, if the cannons are there, then the powder should be...aha! Fortunately enough the munitions were located towards the bow, likely to keep them away from the cargo and living quarters in case they somehow caught fire. Of course the slaver version of 'cargo' was humans, so Ashe was just as interested in leaving them unharmed as the slavers were.
Ashelia, do not tell me you intend to set fire to all of this as a mere distraction? With this much powder the explosion may capsize the ship, which would defeat the entire purpose of this job.
Vendrick wasn't wrong either, the slavers had stockpiled far more ammunition than she had expected. What they had intended for it was irrelevant at this point, but it still posed a problem.
"Well no. We should only need a few pounds of this, so we'll have to get rid of the rest. These two little casks over here should do it," she motioned a pair of much smaller casks rest on top of the larger barrels. "But for the others..."
There had been another reason Ashe seized the moment earlier, sending the others ahead while she stayed back. If she had gone aboard the boat as a slave there was no way she would have been able to bring her blade with her; there was simply no way to hide such a huge thing even with normal clothes. This way she had been able to bring her weapon, as well as get Daiki straight into the middle of the action.
It was difficult in the confined space, but three quick slices opened up an opening in the hull of the ship allowing Ashe to carefully dump the gunpowder over the side. Somehow she managed to do it without much noise, and was just about to set a fuse for the remaining powder when a massive crash came from the back of the ship.
That would be your impatient companion I assume.
Ashe rubbed her forehead and sighed. Couldn't she have waited a few more minutes at least? I hasn't even been that long!
"Well Vendrick, no time to waste then." Ashe set the fuse and started it going with a small firestarter pilfered from the adjoining room, then quickly sank through the floor and headed for the cargo hold. A few seconds later the gunpowder went off and blew off the bowsprit, while at the same Ashe stepped through a wall found herself in the middle of a table. A card table, to be exact, surrounded by a group of old sailors who stared at her open-mouthed for a split second before simultaneously keeling over from heart attacks.
"Did...did I do that?"

nothing can dim the burning light Daiki listened to Anastasia as she had spoke, but that hadn't much phased her as she didn't want to be part of the plan that was being sold in the first place. Anastasia would speak once more about her protecting her, the blonde would scoff lightly before speaking. "Then you best stay out of my way." She'd say, as she heard her start to sing. As the woman started to sing, she felt slightly stronger and faster, but not by very much. Not in the slightest. But anything was better than nothing, though her mind wasn't really focused on what the womans' singing was doing, just on what was going on. It was a group of six people, though as they had taken their first step on the ground as an explosion happened, causing ten weaker looking men to appear and roughly eight more similar looking men to the six who had arrived first, totaling fourteen of them with ten people who looked new to the whole situation of slaving. She would raise would hand out in front of her, gather light that would immediately become tainted in black. The light would roughly form that of a blade in her right hand, and in her left had formed a sheathed, also of tainted light. The first six who had arrived would rush in towards her. However, once they had reached six feet in front of her, she'd move forward, drawing her sword to attack them as they were in close enough proximity, due to the size of the ship and each fell to the floor. The ten initiates turned tail and ran before four more ran in towards her to try and get her for knocking their friends out while the other four who had soon arrived after the explosion happened, would fire their pistols. Daiki would quickly sheath her 'blade' before drawing it to block two of the shots before sheathing it yet again and getting hit by one of them and dodging the last one. She expected to be out sped by the four slavers who had charged towards her as she moved to draw her sword once more, only getting two of them while the other two had expected it and slashed at her with their cutlasses, one of them being blocked and the other one somewhat overestimating his reach. The one that overestimated had only nicked part of Daiki's clothes rather than doing anything major, which had allowed her to quickly move and kick the two, sending them back at the four that were hanging back and flying into three of them, leaving just one left to be taken care of. The blonde, however, didn't realize that the shot that hit her had grazed her side, had caused her to start bleeding slightly.
