Sorano grinned in relief, letting out a satisfied short burst of laughter before clamping her hands over her mouth, shocked. Had she really just laughed? The last time she's laughed... How many years ago? Ever since her self-promise, she had barely smiled, let alone laugh. Laughing was something strange to her now, though everyone else did it freely. She glanced around, hoping no one had heard it besides Hoshi, who stared in astonishment at her serious friend.
"Sorano-chan..." she whispered, before breaking into a huge grin. "Let's get outta this horrible freezing place already!"
"Ah... Yeah, Hoshi-chan!" Sorano replied, the corners of her mouth lifting slightly. She couldn't wait to leave this cold, windy place. "Come on, Kinzoku-san!" Without waiting for the hunters to follow, she began to drag the sled which was magically light towards the village. Upon arrival, she showed their load to Eirlys, and he handed out their award, deeming them a friend of the Frostfire Village. Even the surly hunters grudgingly applauded them.
Not to mention they all got to keep their jackets as keepsakes to remind them of the job. Not that they wanted to remember the cold.
"Thank you very much, Kinzoku-san and Granon-san, we couldn't have gotten through winter without this catch. We are forever indebted to you. Call us anytime you need our help, we'll do our best to help you as you have helped us," Eirlys spoke, handing bags of jewels to the mages.
"We apologize for acting so rude as well, we have no excuse for our behavior," the lead hunter apologized, bowing his head to them both. After goodbyes were said and the rhino found again, the two mages could return to Fairy Tail, another job well done.
