Tale of a Talking Dog... with a Talk Tocan. What possiably could go wrong?!?

Kakuma had heard from Sophie recently that the guild had picked up a bird of some sort. Kakuma being the walking stomach that she was was looking forward to eating said bird, little did she know that the bird was really a member of the guild. Sophie had failed to tell her that. Kakuma was trying to sneak around the hall looking for the bird, not doing a great job as she was in her wolf form... and that was over 7 feet tall, but she was sneaking about anyways. She got some looks from a few people, but after they caught on to what she was trying to do, they paid her no mind. She crept around looking for the bird, drooling slightly as she padded about. She wanted it bad, she was thinking about the bird and what it would taste like, unfortunately Sophie caught up to her before she could find the poor bird and eat him.

"KAKUMA!!" Sophie came running up huffing and puffing, she bent over trying to catch her breath.

Kakuma looked put off by the fact that Sophie had just come running up to her when she was suppose be sneaking. "What do you want!?!" Kakuma spun around in her wolf form, knocking over a table as she did.

"Careful!" Sophie snapped, "You should change fo..." She stopped as Kakuma changed forms. "Ok... so you know the bird your hunting?"

"I have no idea what your talking about?" Kakuma's eyes wandered to the roof as she spoke.

Sophie narrowed her eyes. "That bird... is a member of Black Rose." Kakuma blinked at Sophie as she spoke. "DON'T EAT HIM!" Sophie held her hand up to Kakuma's face.

"Awww... but..." Kakuma shut up as Sophie's eyes widened. "Yes Ma'am." Kakuma looked at the ground as Sophie left her standing there looking ashamed. "stupid bird..." Kakuma mumbled to herself as she righted the table she knocked over. "I should eat him just for spite."

From the pleasant humming and musical rhythm that seemed to flow through his every movement, one would think that Tomás was having something resembling a good day. His speech had nary a sour note in it, and what little expression he could give with his obnoxiously colored beak seemed to be chipper. In all actuality, it had been something of a good day: he had cracked some jokes and shared a laugh or two earlier, had managed to avoid being mistaken for an exotic pet whilst in town, and had made it back to the guild's headquarters without being mobbed by an army of mystified school children. As he perched on the edge of a nearby end table, a brief memory from the incident at the café caused him to shudder; however, the thought was there and gone as soon as he heard a brief ending of a conversation from around the corner before being able to make out what sounded like the quiet growl of discouraged mumbling, The tropical bird had not heard what the conversation had been about at all, had not heard that the person standing around the corner wanted to make him her next meal, but decided to go ahead and see what it was that this person seemed so disappointed about.

With a quick hop and a glide, the bird landed on the tabletop in front of Kakuma. He had not met many in his guild, and, as a creature that wanted to do nothing but socialize in his free time, that simply would not do. He had heard the guildmaster's name thrown around here and there, but had never even seen her in passing; however, given the air of respect the woman in front of him seemed to have, it was certainly a fair guess that this was, in fact, the guild master. "Señora, ¿Por qué tan sombríos?" he asked, trying to keep his voice from sounding too curious.

Kakuma blinked as a bird landed in front of her, Kakuma licked her lips and started to move towards the odd bird. She stopped suddenly as the bird suddenly spoke. She blinked at the bird, not understanding a single word that was just said. "HUH!?!" she walked up to the bird and sniffed it. "you smell like a human..." Kakuma cocked her head and then straightens out. "I don't speak that language by the way."

Was she sniffing him? There were many different ways one could greet another member of society--a friendly wave, a "hello"--but never had the toucan seen someone sniff another person, let alone a talking bird...unless they were secretly a dog or something, which was...actually quite possible, given his own set of circumstances. Tomás gave a half hearted laugh as she stated that he smelled like a human. He thought that, since he had been stuck as a bird for about half a year or so, the stink would've left, but apparently he was wrong. The tropical bird was not great at speaking this land's native tongue, preferring instead to use his own whenever possible; but, he did know enough to at least get his point across. "Eh...I..I not like to talk about that..." he replied.,,

Kakuma stood all the way back up and looked at the bird with a bequzzled look? "Huh? talk about the fact you smell like a human?" Kakuma blinked then shrugged. "Well i guess thats why Sophie told me not to eat you... hmm... or was it because your a member?" Kakuma shrugged again. "Lost interest now." Kakuma. She turned and headed off to find some food, but stopped. "so um... do you eat like bird seed or something? I think it would be rude as hell to eat without offering something to those around me." Kakuma didn't know how to handle a talking bird, did he eat human food? or bird food? Kakuma turned and looked at the bird thingy waiting for a answer. Thats when she had a though, one that she vocalized, "you know what you can just come with me." Kakuma smiled evily. "so? does Polly want a cracker?"

There had been many times where someone had said the 'polly want a cracker' line to the toucan, and it never ceased to ruffle his feathers a little bit; after all, he was a human trapped in the form of a tropical bird, not some dumb prop pirates wore on their shoulder. After her brief ramble and the parrot joke, Tomás was about to bid the guild master farewell and move on with his day...but he then realized that his stomach was like an empty pit--he hadn't eaten all day. Although his voice was still unsure of the pronunciations of this land's language, he decided it was better to speak what little he knew rather than make the woman in front of him wonder what it was he said. "Eh...no cracker...fruit?"
